Episode 31: The Golden Age
A/N: Originally, Episode 31 was going to "Twin Trouble" starring Lola and Lana where their having bonding issues but I decided to replace that chapter push that one to episode 32 because I've heard that Fred Willard who voiced Pop Pop and if your transformers animated fan Swinde sadly pass away from natural causes. So, I wanted to dedicated a chapter him and only. Make sure you pay respect to him and share some love, and enjoy reading.
It was a warm afternoon in Royal Woods. Inside an Retirement home, we Pop pop sitting on a chair watching the news.
"And once again, the devious Mad Jack has been captured once again. All thanks to our favorite heroes Ace Savvy and his Full House Gang." Katherine Mulligan reported.
Pop pop chuckles. "That's my grand kids." He said to himself. Next, he sees repeated footage they're playing as The Full House Gang fighting Mad Jack together. "I forgot how good it was fighting bad guys while wearing tight outfits; me and the original Full House Gang were incredible back then." Pop pop sighed. "Good times. Good times." Pop pop then starts a flashback to his glory days as he closes his eyes.
*FLASHBACK*
It was the year 1946, Royal Woods was retro and grimy with crime at high rates and plenty of corruption in industry and law enforcement. We see a gang in their 1940's suits and wears a white blank mask as they hold tommy guns and each holding back of money. The gang are actually The Poker Gangs being led by Pokerface Sr. as their told to rob the first national bank.
Poker Gang No. 1 laughed. "We score big time! No one is going to stop us now!"
"Oh really?"
The Poker Gang gasped as they see the original Ace Savvy, the original One-Eyed Jack, The Fat Lady, Joy Girl, Knight, and Speed Run drop in.
"You might wand to rethink what you said." One-Eyed Jack said.
"Nail them, boys!"
The Poker Gang open fire on The Full House, but the heroes quickly got behind of Knight and The Fat Lady as she absorbed the bullets and fired back on to them. Ace and One-Eyed Jack jump kick on to some of the gang members, Speed Run speed dash into the gang and knock some of them out, Knight charge forward and slash them with his sword and knock them out with his shield, Joy Girl giggles as she jumps over The Fat Lady and dodges bullets as she cart wheeled. "You guys are so fun to tackled." Joy Girl smiled. And The Fat Lady walk slowly towards them while absorbing more bullets and body slam them.
Later, all the gang are wrapped up and are taken into custody by the authorities. "Thank you, Ace. You stop these criminals and recovers the stolen good."
"It was our pleasure, Chief. Pokerface Sr. should try next time to not rob a bank in my town. As we already know, crime doesn't pay." Ace chuckles.
Elsewhere, a long tower owned by Pokerface Sr. got tip from own of his goon that The House Gang captured all his men and he's not to pleased about this as he hang the phone. "Unbelievable! Once again those twerps foiled my plans!" Pokerface Sr. angrily take phone and toss it on the floor. What makes it even more, that one his goon walk into his office to deliver more bad news.
"Boss, The Fly had sabotage the shipping over at the docks."
Pokerface Sr. yelled in frustration and shot him in the head but then soon calm down. "It was a lot easy running the city without those brats destroying my operation." He sat down on to his chair and think for a sec until he got an idea. "Purpose...I could used some help.
Meanwhile, in The Fortress of Solitude, The Full House are relaxing after their fights; Ace and One-Eyed Jack are reading comic books based on them, Knight, Joy Girl and The Fly are training with each other in the training room, Speed Run is listening to a radio while drinking Cola, and The Fat Lady is getting lots of food from the kitchen.
One-Eyed jack groans when he read a page. "Man they make my lips too big."
Ace looks at the same page and doesn't seem to noticed. "Really? I don't see it. Looks fine to me."
One-Eyed Jack glares at his friend.
"Albert, you think Pokerface will try to rob a bank again?" Speed Run asked.
"Probably. And we'll be ready to stop them...again." Ace said.
Fat Lady starts eating. "Besides, Pokerface has the same gang pulling the same stunt. How much more trouble he's going to cause?" She said with food in her mouth.
Later that night. Elsewhere, in an toy factory which is abandoned right now, we see a supervillainess name Cleopatra walk into the toy factory. It's real quiet and no is here. Why would someone call her to meet here? Unless it's a trap set by The Full House Gang or much worst, but she'll keep on her toes for an ambush. And she's right when see saw snakes slithering towards her as she gasp, but the snakes suddenly stop.
"Terrifying, aren't they?" He reveals himself out of shadows to be a kid name Snake Eyes who's wearing a light green costume, white gloves, dark green boots, and clear plastic globe helmet. He's bold and had dices for eyes but are snake eyes.
"You dare try to attack Cleopatra!"
"Relax. I wasn't going to attack to you. Were you the one call me?"
"No. I thought you call me."
The two hear something approaching them in full speed and jump out of the way reveal to be "Old Maid" wearing a green spiky pauldrons, and dark green gloves. She gets around, with a skull-themed motorized scooter. Old Maid laughed. "Thought you get the drop on me huh?!" Old Maid turn back around and try to run them over.
"Watch it!" Snake Eyes shouted.
The two jump out of the away again as she came by. Suddenly, a giant foot trip Old Maid causing her to crash to a pile of empty boxes. Another supervillain reveal to be Clubfoot in his gangster suit and hat, and having a giant barefoot. "Knock off that racket. You're giving me a headache with that noise." He then turn and saw Snakes Eyes and Cleopatra join with him. "This is a surprised." Clubfoot said to himself. Then, he turns to see two more villains Card Shark carrying Old Maid and her scooter, and a big puff of smoke with eyes name "Big Smoke".
"Some one want's us here." Card Shark said, putting Old Maid down. "But who?"
"That would be me."
Pokerface Sr. walks in from the shadows as villains were gasp to see him in person.
"Greetings Snake Eyes, Cleopatra, Old Maid, Card Shark, Big Smoke, Clubfoot. You already know who I am as I'm the one who called you all here for a reason. As you know, each of us has gotten our asses kick by The Full House Gang once to often. That is going to change." Pokerface Sr. said.
Big Smoke then spoke with a raspy voice. "What do you supposed us to do?"
"We form a group to defeat The Full House Gang. Once and for all."
Joining forces with Pokerface Sr. to finally kill The Full House Gang together? This they extremely like.
Meanwhile, Ace is chasing a little girl name "Black Kitty" who's dressing as a black cat and a jewel thief as they jump from rooftop to rooftop. The idea of Black Kitty comes "Kings of the Cons" if you don't know. "Don't you ever get tired of stealing diamonds?" Ace Savvy asked her while chasing her.
"Don't YOU get ever tired of chasing after little girls like me, you creep?"
"Creep? You kept on filtering with me everytime we encounter with each other and you calling ME a creep."
"I can't help that you're good looking." said Black Kitty smiling.
"You need help, Bebe." Ace push himself further and further until he finally catch up with by tackle her. "This time you'll be spending your nine lives behind bars." He said as he getting her back on her feet and is about to cuffed her until he hears police sirens. Several police units are driving north. With him being distracted, Black Kitty step on his foot to let go of him and escape as she laughed not before blowing a kiss at him. "Damn it." Ace sees more police cars heading north. "Black Kitty have to wait. Something is going up street." Ace contact the rest of his team using his communication watch. "Follow my coordinates."
Looks like it's another hostage situation as there are lots of police cars surrounding an building, Clubfoot is holding a woman with a gun pointed at her head. "Try anything Coppers and the dame gets it!"
"Hold your fire!" Chief ordered his men.
The Full House arrived. Consisting of Ace Savvy, One-Eyed Jack, Speed Run, and The Fly. Speed Run quickly snatch Clubfoot's gun in super speed and The Fly went in and flew straight to Clubfoot in a spear, making him release the hostage tacking bigfoot inside with him. While The Fly was flying around while holding Clubfoot as he's getting dizzy and sick, Ace was checking on the hostage. "Look for other hostages!" he suggested/ordered to Speed Run.
Speed Run and One-Eyed Jack nodded and ran inside as they split up to search every other rooms.
"You're safe now..." Ace said to the hostage.
"Oh, thank you. You've pleased your queen." She returns and hypnotized him. She revealed herself as Cleopatra wearing a wig and an overcoat.
Speed Run heard the sound of another fight and before he could open the door. The Door and and the hinges were broken apart and a giant snake attacked.
The Fly dropped Clubfoot when he heard the sounds of a crash and saw Speed Run getting attacked by Snake Eyes's giant snake as he rides on it. The Fly was distracted long enough to have someone to get kicked by the hypnotized Ace Savvy.
Cleopatra giggles. "Kill him and you'll get your reward."
Ace smiled and then turn to beat up The Fly while still on the ground.
One-Eyed heard noises and as soon he walk out the room, he got jump by Old Maid and two crash on the main floor. The two recovered from the fall; One-Eyed Jack was fighting Old Maid and was on the defensive. He was almost bitten by Card Shark but the young hero heard him coming and flipped him over his head. But the shark-man landed cleanly near Old Maid and both engaged the hero in a co-op fight.
"Ace, ztop! It'z me The F-" He gets punch in the face before he could finish.
Meanwhile Speed Run is already wrapped around by the giant snake as he squeezing him.
Pokerface Sr. look happily at The Full House slowly defeat and smiled slyly even though he has no face. "All too easy..."
Snake Eye's fun was interrupted by The Fat Lady who burst down from the ceiling and crush the giant snake's head forcing to let go Speed Run and Snake Eye's to jump off his pet.
Old Maid charged forward to attacked One-Eyed Jack who only jump out of the way, but Card Shark attacked from behind and nearly hit the hero hand Knight intervened.
"Back, you vile beast!" said Knight knock him back with his shield.
Old Maid attack One-Eyed Jack again but was caught by Speed Run. "Let me...go, sonny!"
"Relax grandma, this will all be over soon..." said Speed Run after tied her up and making a run for the stairs.
Big Smoke come out of small cracks on the wall. "That's what you think..."he quickly floats towards to Speed Run's eyes to blinded and caused him to run to the wall knocking him unconscious.
Ace is still fighting The Fly while he's trying not to fight his friend. The Fly even tries to fly away but Ace caught him and the two have an fight in the air which pleases Cleopatra even more.
Joy Girl jumps down after saw this and dashed at Cleopatra giving her a high kick in the head making her lose control over Ace Savvy.
Ace groan as he rub his head and his shock to see what he's done.
"Whatever you're about to zay, don't apologizez It's not your fault. Bzzz. You were under Cleopatra control...again." said The Fly as he drop him.
"Thanks, Fly. And thank you, Joy Girl!"
Joy Girl giggles to Ace as she sucker punch Cleopatra.
The Fly got back in the air and chase after Big Smoke.
Knight cried out as he engaged Snake Eyes was trying to slash him with his sword but Snake Eyes quick reflexes easily dodged his sword.
The Fat Lady was fighting Card Shark and was having a hard time immobilizing him as he kept countering her attacks.
Ace Savvy saw and engaged Pokerface Sr. in a fight, trying to put this to an end. Pokerface Sr. raised a gun at him but the young hero tackled him to the ground and grabbed him by his collar but was met with a head butt from Pokerface Sr. followed by a punch in the jaw sending him back slightly, then made a run for the gun and reached it. "How do you like my team, Ace? I call them 'The Deck of Cards'." He smiled aiming a gun on him.
"Since when you're a team player, Pokerface?" You usually more of a solo person."
"You brought this on to yourself, boy! You've meddled with my plans for the last time!"
As Pokerface Sr. is ready to fire, One-Eyed Jack spotted Ace who's in trouble so he quickly throws a card to knock the gun out Pokerface's hand which gives Ace the opportunely to strike on him but accidentally knock him over to sure death.
Clubfoot spotted his boss used his big foot to leap over and catches Pokerface Sr. before he hit the ground. "You okay?" He asked putting him down.
Pokerface Sr. muttered to himself.
Ace watched from above not playing attention to his surrounding until Snake Eyes took advantage of the situation sneaked up on him and is ready to inject the poison inside. But thankfully, Knight's shield was thrown like captain america and hits him into the wall behind him, knocking him unconscious.
One-Eyed Jack tried to apprehend Pokerface Sr. but Clubfoot got in his way and was not trying to hold him. "Pokerface! They're too well organized! We need to retreat! Ahhh" he warned before getting a punch in the face.
Big Smoke floated next to Pokerface Sr. "I'll fill this whole place with smoke. That way we could escape."
Faced with the odds, Pokerface Sr. had no choice and accepted the sour taste of defeat for now. "Alright! Do it!"
As soon as he agreed, Big Smoke crept all over the building and outside covering in a big puff of smoke as everyone coughed. Just as soon the smoke quickly cleared, The Deck Of Cards were already gone.'
"Cowards. They've flee like rats." confirmed Knight as he lowered his sword and shield.
"Aww. It was getting interesting." said Joy Girl feeling bummed.
"Now will never find them."
Ace spoke. "Don't worry, guys. While I was fighting Pokerface I place a tracking device on his back. Will find them in no time."
"Alright, Albert!" said One-Eyed Jack giving him a thumbs up.
"Smart thinking, friend." said Knight nodded.
"First, we need to head back to the fortress and some tools if we're going to beat Pokerface's new gang."
The Full House Gang nodded to agreement.
Royal Woods Toy Factory...
"BLAST THOSE FULL HOUSE GANG! Even as a group, THOSE BRATS STILL BEAT US!" Pokerface Sr. yelled.
"It was only a first take as a team. We did the best we could." tried Cleopatra.
"Best?! Did you give everything you got?! Did you fight to the very end?! argued Pokerface Sr.
"I don't see you do anything better." Old Maid mutters.
Pokerface Sr. heard that and smack her across the face causing her to fall off her scooter. "You don't ever talk to me like that, you old bat!"
Old Maid rubbed her check. "Sorry." She apologized.
The stay silent until Pokerface Sr. calm himself down.
"So what's our next move, boss?" Clubfoot asked Pokerface Sr.
"How about spending your life behind bars for the next 20 years?!"
Clubfoot is surprised and said. "What the?!"
Knight slice the door in half door like nothing. The others followed close behind which hero making their own entrance either it was through the doors, windows or walls.
Pokerface Sr. is surprised as well. "The Full House Gang?! How did they find us?!"
Old Maid noticed a small ace shape planted on his back as she removes it from him. "There's our problem! You lead them right towards us! Some leader you are!"
Pokerface Sr. growls. "KILL THEM ALL!"
The fight started with Clubfoot kicked one of the heavy box and hit Speed Run sending him into Knight.
The Fly responded by swooping down and take Clubfoot.
Card Shark growls and charged for to attack Fat Lady and begin their fight.
Speed Run tried to join in but Big Smoke covered him with smoke causing him to crash into big a giant teddy bear.
"Got one." said Big Smoke with a smirk. While being distracted, he gets sucked into One-Eyed Jack's miniature vacuum as he scream which give Snake Eye's a smirk. Snake Eye tried to make a run for it but was caught by Joy Girl's grapple.
Snake Eyes then grins when one of his snake bite Joy Girl from behind forcing herself to let him go. With the toxic in her, Joy Girl started to hallucinated as shes multiple copies of Snake Eyes as they laughed mechanically.
The Fat Lady came in through the wall with Card Shark hitting him left and right until Card Shark hit a machine.
Card Shark punches her belly but has no effect on her. She headbutted him and then punch him making him fly across to another wall.
Ace is trying his best to resist Cleopatra's mind control.
"Don't you want your love?"
Ace grunted and said. "I'll...spit on your love." He quickly throws a card which explode knocking her back. which gives Ace the chance to stun her out before she could recovered.
The Fat Lady lifted Card Shark and toss him towards Clubfoot who is still fighting The Fly.
Snake Eyes continues to watch Joy Girl fight hallucinated copies of Snake Eyes.
"Fun's over, freak." said Speed Run punching Snake Eye in the face, knocking him right into Knight who struck him in the gut and head with his shield knocking Snake Eye out cold.
Ace rush over to grab Joy Girl and injected her with the antidote making all the hallucination of Snake Eyes to vanish.
"Not the type of fun I wanted." said Joy Girl feeling fully recovered.
Without warning, Old Maid ran over The Full House Gang (minus The Fat Lady) in full speed. "You're finished!" said Old Maid. Old Maid turn right back around to attack them again. Joy Girl got ready and pulled out some marbles and threw them on the ground. Old Maid ride right on them and found herself blown through the air but The Fly catches her in the air and landed safely for One-Eyed Jack to cuffed her.
The Fat Lady regroup with her friends while carrying the unconscious Card Shark and Clubfoot.
"Great work, team. All is left is Pokerface." Ace said. He spotted Pokerface Sr. making a run for it. "He's mine!" Ace tells his team as he runs after him. He manage to tackle him and as soon he's about to cuffed, he noticed that Pokerface Sr.'s white face look faked and then soon realized that it's one of his goon posing as him which means the real Pokerface Sr. have already escape just as the fight started and have one of his men to disguised just like him.
Goon laughed. "I'm sorry. Did I disappointed you?"
Ace scoffs and elbow him to knock him out.
Half an hour later, the police were all around the toy factory, taking all the criminals in.
Chief handshake Ace on a well done job. "The city is always in your debt, Full House."
"Happily to help. Unfortunately, Pokerface got away. But we won't stop until we bring Pokerface to justice. And that's a promise." Ace said.
"You said it, Pop pop." said One-Eyed Jack as he smiled. His nickname repeated three time as it echoes.
*FLASHBACK OVER*
"Pop pop. Pop Pop!"
Pop pop woke up from dream and sees his grandson Lincoln who was calling him. "Kiddo, so good too see you."
"Glad to be here, Pop pop. Sorry that my siblings can't come to visit you." Lincoln said.
"It's alright, kiddo."
The two hugged.
"Hey, how would you like to hear one of my stories before we could do something fun?"
"Absolutely, Pop pop!" Lincoln said feeling excited. "What story you want tell this time?"
Pop pop chuckles. "One of my other favorite story...how The Full House Gang easily taken down The Deck of Cards..."
