Episode 33: Out of Luck
It was a very calm night for our Caped Crusader Ace Savvy. Too quiet actually. By now Ace would have stopped some criminals or save a citizen, but there wasn't anything going on. It was pretty late at this point and tonight's patrol was pretty dull.
"It's funny how the one time I would want some action to happen during my late patrol, BAM nothing happens. *sigh*" Ace talks to his self as he sat at his spot to look out for danger.
"It's not like I have anything better to do, I mean my best friend Clyde is out of town with his dads. And my sisters are still helping with Cthylla how about earth things, and Lynn and Lucy...not sure they get pretty aggressive with each other everytime I'm presented and always crawl on to my legs with weird sweet eyes." Ace continues to talk to himself. He even pointed out the headache he's been having but they mysteriously pop up whenever as right now he doesn't have it but could happen again and will speak with Lisa if it gets worst.
Ace than got a call from Eight of Spades from his phone as he answer. "Hey, Lucy." Eight of Spades calls him on her patrol with no sign of crime activity and planning to return home. "Okay, you can head back. I'll stay out her for another hour." Ace answered. She understand and hang up.
One Hour Later...
"Okay. I might as well wrap this up and head back home." Ace said as he got up, grapple on to another building, and started swinging away for he has no idea that he will run into someone who will make things...interesting.
Elsewhere on this relaxing night, a particular young cat thief was traveling across the rooftops looking for adventure and a little something to steal. With her athlete moves, she goes across the area until she saw an excellent jewelry place named " Jewel Satellite" and decided to make her move there.
"Well well, look what we have here." The cat thief said as she saw a bunch of jewelry just waiting for someone beautiful like her to wear it. She then puts a machine on the glass window, that keeps the alarms from going off, and goes inside to see a big vault.
"Mmmm, maybe I might just spoil myself and get a bigger prize." She thought to herself. She then pulls out another machine that allows her to get access to something that needs a code and place it on the vault. After using the device to crack the code, the cat thief opens the vault to see a box of rare diamonds and pour all of it in a bag.
"Well my work here is done, now to make a clean getaway." She said as she was heading towards the exit.
As she was about to leave, the cat thief saw the sight of what looked like Ace Savvy swinging away. She had heard a lot of stories about a new Ace Savvy since the old one disappeared and figure this was her chance to meet him and see what he's like. With that said, she uses the machine she had used earlier to set the alarm hoping that he would hear it. Little did the cat thief know that this meeting will lead to her having a strong relationship with Ace in time.
Ace was starting to head back to his house until he heard a loud alarm coming from nearby.
"Really at the very last min? Regardless I should respond anyway." Ace said as he swung towards the direction of the alarm.
He landed on top of the Jewel Satellite store only for his quick reflexes avoiding to get get attack by a black haired girl wearing a black bodysuit. It has a more high tech look, with domino-shaped infrared goggles on her cat shape cowl. Her costumes have incorporated retractable metal claws on the fingertips of her gloves.
"I knew you would come here, Ace." The woman said as she went to pounce on him throwing Ace off guard.
"Who are you?!" Ace question as he was knocked to the ground with the girl on top of him.
"The names Black Kitty and when you cross a black cat... that's seven years of bad luck." Black Kitty said as she held Ace to the ground. Ace is shock by how fast and strong she was as well while Black Kitty was impressed by the way his body looks in tights.
"So we got another Black Kitty in Royal Woods huh. Well, I don't think that applies meeting a cute girl in a tight costume," Ace told her as he kicks her off of him then went to hold her down from behind. Black Kitty had to admit that she didn't mind being in this position and felt him getting excited.
"Aww Acey, this is our first encounter, and you already happy from meeting me. And don't worry, I'm more purrfect than the old one." She teases him, which made him blush bright red.
"Girl, let's get back on track here. You stole something out of the store, and you need to put it back now or else." Ace said in his serious voice.
"Or else what, you going to tie me up with your ace grapple and spank me for punishment." Black Kitty asks him while pouting her lip, which made Ace sweat since he wasn't used to this type of forwardness in his life. Where the heck she learn this kinda of talk like that or move like that? She's like the same age as me it's insane.
"Um...well..." Ace couldn't get his words out after having a hot vision of what Black Kitty just said which allowed her to get out of the hold and landed on her two feet.
"What's wrong, did a cat catch your tongue?" She asks him, putting her hand on her hip.
"No, but my rope caught a cat," Ace responded as he wraps the Black Kitty with his own rope. Little did he know she was setting him up for her escape.
"Alright, no more playing cat and mouse. I'm turning you in, but first, let's get a good look behind that mask of yours." Ace said as he walked towards her to remove her mask, but she gaze into Ace's eyes with some sort of like a hypno trans but it was only for Black Kitty roll away from as Ace quickly got his sense back..
"As much as I enjoy the game we are playing... I'm afraid I'm going to have to turn this game into a draw!" with that said, Black Kitty uses her crawls to get out of the rope and then proceed in using a sleep gas from her gloves on Ace to knock him out.
Black Kitty went up to him and was curious herself of finding out the man underneath the mask. As she started pulling it off, she heard the door from the building trying to open by the police.
"Purr that sucks, but still at least I can do this as a souvenir." She said as she kisses him on his lips. "Until next time." she then made her way off the rooftop.
Ace quickly wakes up to see the door barge open with the police running towards him.
"Ace! We got here as fast as we could, but looks like we got here too late."
Ace rolled his eyes. "Typical." He looks around. "She's gone."
"She?" The officer confusingly asked Ace.
"I got to go." Ace said while shooting a grapple line and left. "That cat sure have some kicks, but what heck she hit me with when I caught-HEY!" Suddenly, the grapple line snap causing Ace to fall but quickly used his cap to glide into the empty dumpster at the back of an restaurant. "What the heck just happen?" He check his grapple. "Impossible. The lines are supposed to be unbreakable." Ace think it might be an defected grapple so he pull out another grapple but this one won't activate no matter how hard he pressed. "This won't work too?" Ace groans and then contact Lori. "High Card, I could used a pick up. And hurry. I think an employer will be dumping trash here soon."
It was morning at the Loud House and Lincoln had already woken up as he yawned. It feels like it should be a good for him...but he's so wrong. First, he accidental step on Cliff's tail which anger him and began attacking Lincoln's face clawing his skin as he screamed in pain.
"AH! CLIFF STOP! WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!"
Second, Lincoln step onto one of Lynn's roller skates and roll down the hall but was saved by Lynn by bumping into her when she came out of the bathroom. The most awkward thing is happening to Lincoln right now is on top of his sister with his head laying down on her chest which made Lynn blush.
"GAH!" Lincoln quickly got off from her. "I'm sorry! I didn't mean to! Don't beat me!"
Lynn smiled. "Heh. Don't worry about that. You can go ahead and take shower before any of our sis come."
Lincoln nervously nod and rush into the bathroom.
Lynn then noticed Lucy has been watching the whole the thing from their room with an angry look on her face and to make her mad even more, Lynn stick out her tongue with a wink to mock her.
The elementary school. The bell rings, and Lincoln enters Mrs. Johnson's class looking like crap. He has cat scratches all over his face, skin color turn pink from the shower water that was extremely hot, and a big dry up milk stain on his shirt. He passed by his classmates who are staring at him and then sit down in his own seat.
"Sounds like you have a crappy morning, bud." Rusty said.
"You think?" Lincoln said with a grumpy attitude.
"Everyone have their bad days. Last month I kept stumping my toe which resulting me going to the hospital and really kinda screw up my date with Simon." Girl Jordan said with a sigh.
"I have to stay home due to my chicken pox and missed out a field trip to the aquarium." Rusty said.
"My suit got dirty during picture day." Liam added.
"I got a D on my history test last Friday despite me studying so hard." Zack added as too.
"Just have too power on through this sucky day and tomorrow will be a better day." Rusty smiled.
"Yeah I guess." Lincoln said.
Mrs. Johnson enter the classroom. "Attention, class. I'd like to introduce our new student: Stella zhau"
Stella smiled and greeted the students. "Hello."
Lincoln's friends Liam, Rusty, and Zach are immediately fallen in love with the new student while Girl Jordan just rolled her eyes just seeing how pathetic they are. Lincoln on the other hand; gasped to see a familiar girl he known years ago.
*FLASHBACK*
Years ago at the park, Lincoln at the same age as Lisa was playing with his toy car by himself until young Chandler shows up in front of Lincoln.
"We want to play with that car." Young Chandler said pointed at the car.
Young Lincoln hold on to his car. "But I just start playing with it."
"I don't care. I want to play it!" Chandler and Lincoln fight over the car, but Chandler overpowered him and took the car from him which made Lincoln cry. "Hehe. Cry baby."
"Hey! that boy was playing with that toy!"
Chandler turn to see a young Stella who is pissed.
"Not going to happen. I'm playing it now." Young Chandler smirked.
"Give it back to him right now or else."
"Or else what? Your just a dumb girl." Younger Chandler laughed.
Young Stella smirked and quickly grab a bag of bird seed from an old man who is sleeping on the bench and throws the seeds at him.
Young Chandler laughed. "That's it? That's the best you could? You really are a stupid girl." Suddenly, all the pigeons come attacking Chandler as he yelled and scream as he drop the car and ran. "DADDY!" Young Chandler cried.
Young Stella pick the car and give it back to Lincoln.
Young Lincoln wiped his tears. "Thank you."
Young Stella smiled. "Anytime. That will teach that bully for picking on the little guy."
The two giggles.
Young Lincoln said. "Would you like to play with me?"
"I'd love to."
Young Stella join with Young Lincoln and the two happily play along with car.
"By the way, my name is Lincoln."
"I'm Stella."
"That's a real nice."
"Thank you." She blushed.
*FLASHBACK END*
After all these years, the girl he meet had finally return. I wonder if she ever remembers him.
Later at the cafeteria, Lincoln and his friends all look and see Stella with a lunch bag walking their way.
"Ooo-wee, She sure is easy on the eyes." Liam said.
"Oh yeah. And I hear she speaks three languages." Rusty said.
"How would you know?" Girl Jordan asked Rusty.
"Call it a hunch." Rusty smiled.
Zach gasped. "Here she comes! Be cool! Be cool!"
"Hey, guys. Anybody wanna trade for my carrots?"
The three boys try to act cool. Rusty is drooling green liquid, Zach is nibbling on a straw from a milk carton, and Liam is nervously staring while Lincoln and Girl Jordan rolled their eyes
"Uhhhh...right. So, yeah. I'll just, uh...yeah." Stella said as she leave.
Lincoln spoke out to meet her childhood friend. "Wait Stella." As Lincoln got up to catch up with Stella but with no explanation, his shoelace's weren't tied and without knowing he tripped towards Stella. And instead of land on top of her, his hands accidently grab her knee-long black skirt and pulls it down revealing him and everyone in the cafeteria of her underwear which caused kids at first to gasped and finally laughed at Stella and Lincoln except for Lincoln's friends who smack their foreheads.
Chandler laughed. "Smooth move, Stinkcoln!
Lincoln quickly got up, and he sees Stella blush red with an angry look on her face. He was going to apologized to her but ultimately gets punch in the face.
After school, Lincoln is walking home with a sigh of sadness. He still have that bruise on his face after a punch from Stella.
"Great. Now Stella thinks I'm a perverted jerk. I got to make thinks right."
"Meow".
Lincoln look down to see a black cat by his leg. "Um. Shoo kitty."
The Black cat didn't leave.
Lincoln sighed again and just kept walking while the black cat follows him. Suddenly, more black cats are following him as it got Lincoln curious and think it's Friday the 13th, but it's Monday on the 7th. He walks fasters to get away from the cats but they're as fast as him and without knowing, he walk under a ladder which caused two cars crash into each other.
One driver shouted. "Watch where you driving!"
Second driver shouted back. "You watch were you driving, you jerk!"
Next, he then steps on a big crack on the ground making the woman break her back all the sudden.
"Oh no."
Lincoln crossed a street to check on the woman and out of nowhere a truck was coming this way.
"Holy!"
The truck driver make a turn and crash into a mirror store.
All the destruction and chaos is going is random and makes no sense. Lincoln needs to hurry back home and get some help.
At the Loud House, Lucy was watching her show all by herself when she heard Lincoln came in and the surprised to see Lincoln looking terrified and a mess.
"Lincoln, are you alright? What happen?"
"Lucy, something is going on. Ever since I fight that hot girl name Black kitty I-
"Wait a sec. Hot girl? Name Black Kitty?"
"Uh yeah, but that's not the point. Ever since-"
Lucy is already upset and jealous. "Hang on a sec. Hot girl in a cat costume? How good is she? Did she even...kiss you?"
"Lucy, focus! Black Kitty must have hit me with a stare that give me and I believe...bad luck."
"Hmmm. Yes. I do sense of bad juju around you. She must have carry magic to give you bad mojo. In order to outcome bad luck, you need good luck."
Lincoln smiled. "Of course. Great idea, Lucy."
Lucy then grab his collar to bring him close to her face with an angry tone. "But we're not done talking about this Black kitty."
"O-okay?"
A montage with Lucy trying to give Lincoln good luck. First, Lucy found a four leaf clover at the park and give it to Lincoln as it seems to work for bit until he got attack by a swarm of bees. Second, Lucy gave Lincoln a lucky rabbit foot from her trunk which seems to be good until it came too life and kick him in the face. Third, Lucy then found a Horse show to help but it didn't work as a horse come charging him as he makes a run for it. Lastly, Lucy pick up a shinny penny off the street to give Lincoln which give Lincoln some nervous vibe but quickly grown to it and hopefully work but once again bad luck overcomes it when a storm approach and lightning began to strike him while Lincoln and Lucy dodge and ran.
It was a huge fail. Apparently Lincoln's bad luck is too strong and normal good luck charms can't help. The two sighed in defeat while walking home from a long day.
"Maybe your friend Haiku can help me with my luck."
"Sorry, Lincoln. But Haiku is busy in the shadow dimension and won't be back for awhile."
"Dang it." Lincoln then gasped to see Stella who just came out of the arcade room. "It's Stella."
"You know this girl?"
"Years ago but now she thinks I'm a pig for pulling her skirt down."
This triggered Lucy as she grab him by his collar again to bring close to her face and respond with a serious tone. "Tell me your joking. Because Luan only make terrible jokes."
Lincoln gulped as he sweat in nervous and scared to respond.
But Lucy calm herself down as she remembered that Lincoln told her that everything happen to has been bad luck so she'll forgive but hopefully Lincoln won't try to make a romantic move on Stella. "Sorry, Lincoln." She apologized as she let him go.
Stella then noticed Lincoln but quickly roll her eyes and leaves.
"Stella, wait!" Lincoln called out to Stella while catching up to her but trip again, but this time didn't pull down her skirts.
"What do you want? Trying to take my shirt off next?"
"No! Stella, I'm so sorry for what I did. Believe me I would never do that to any girl on my school."
Stella sighed. "Forget it about it. Right now I'm going to go through years of suck."
"I'll make up to you just like how you save me."
Stella is confused. "Save you? But we just met?"
"Don't you remember me. We used to play at the park when we were kids. You got my toy car back after you throw bird seeds at Chandler as the birds feast on him." Lincoln chuckles. "That was a good one."
The birds seeds had got her remember. This is the same Lincoln Loud she meet years ago. What a surprised that she see him again after all these year.
"Oh my god! Now, I remember you." Stella smiled. Then, she hugs him. "It's been too long. Sorry I didn't remember you and punch you in the face because I didn't know it's the same you."
"No, no, no I'm the only who should be sorry for embarrassing you like that."
"Don't worry about it. I dealt worst thing than that."
"Listen, I was thinking maybe we should catch up and chat some more. You're free tonight?" Lincoln asked.
Stella respond. "Sorry, I have 'plans' for tonight. We can chat tomorrow at school."
"Sure. I love that." Lincoln smiled.
"By the way, who's that little girl in black you were with?" Stella asked pointed Lucy.
Lucy stand in silent with a jealous look on her face.
"Oh that's my sister Lucy. She's into goth and dark stuff that I don't want to know."
Stella feels a bit creep by her. "I can see. Well, I just probably get going. See ya." She waived as she leaves.
Lincoln waives back. "See ya." Lincoln join back with Lucy.
Lucy crossed her arms and said. "So, your done talking with your girlfriend?"
"My what?"
"Nevermind. Look, there might be another way to remove the bad luck charm off of you is to confront Black Kitty and have her remove it." Lucy explained.
"Maybe I don't have too. I've speaking with Stella and nothing bad had happen. Looks like my bad luck is gone."
A truck drove by to splash dirty water from the street all over Lincoln.
"Okay, I'm going to find her tonight."
Later that night, Ace is on a look out using his binoculars after suffering lots of bad luck when getting on top of the building roof like his grapple line kept snapping off, trip over a watering can and slip to a garden on the roof top, and being chased by the neighbor dogs. "Still no sign of her." He said to himself. Suddenly, he he heard something go off from a distant, and the next thing he knows it could be Black Kitty trying to lure him into a trap again or it could be regular robberies trying to steal something but either way he has to get over their quickly. The alarm sound is coming from another Jewerly store as Ace drop down to head inside. "No sign of cases being smash, or anybody. But all the jewels are still missing. Which means she was here." He knows she's on the roof waiting for him. As soon he climb up to the roof, he sees no sign until he gets a kick from behind by Black Kitty who is carrying a backpack full of jewels.
Black Kitty giggles. "Took you long enough to get here. I was getting bored and was ready to leave with precious jewels. So, cutie, how do you like my special gift I gave to you?"
Ace got back on his feet. "Splendid." He sarcastically answer.
Black Kitty then come close to Ace as she twirl her fingers around his chest. "You know for such a cute boy, you deserve better. Why not give up this hero nonsense and come join me on an excited thrill like Bonnie and Clyde but instead stealing rare and valuable stuffs." Black Kitty offered Ace.
Ace gently push her away. "Sorry, Kitty. I dedicated myself to my favorite mentor...and a promise." Ace said referring to his parents.
Black Kitty sighed in disappointed. "Well, I'm not too surprised. But I respect your choice."
"You know. If you hand over the stuff you've stole and turn yourself in and when you pay your time, you can become a hero like me." Ace offer her.
Black Kitty smiled. "Hmmm. That sounds promising. But I too made a promise as well. Guess we both tied in with our destiny. Which makes it so romantic."
Ace charged in to fight first, but with his bad luck he tripped over like an ox and landed on his face which made her laugh. "Very funny." Ace said and tries to kick her.
But she ducked and slash him with her claws, knocking him back. Before he has a chance to recover, she quickly dash over to him to beat him down. So much quick blows from her doesn't give Ace chance to block her attack or even given a chance to fight back. The final kick cause him to trip behind a ledge but lucky for him he grab the ledge before he fallen off.
Black Kitty walk over to him while he still hanging to the ledge. "Quick save. But I'm not sure it'll hold off since your still bad luck." She said as she pointed the cracks.
She's right. He noticed that it's cracking but he's badly injured and can't lift himself up.
"Got to go, cutie. It's been fun." Black Kitty said.
And she could have escape again if not for Eight of Spades swoop down and kick her across.
"You ain't going nowhere." Eight of Spades said holding her shovel.
"Silly, girl. Don't you know cats always landed on their feet." Black Kitty said as she dash to her.
The two begin fighting while Ace still tries to hold on but the cracks are getting bigger. The two struggle with each other as they grunted.
"Not bad, girl. But your luck will soon ran out." Black Kitty said making eye contact using her magic.
Eight of Spades only just smiled acknowledging the spell doesn't work as she head butted her knocking her out.
"You should have known that my hair covers my eyes. At least I know how your powers work." Eight of Spades said.
She rush over to Ace and quickly lift him up to safety.
Ace panted. "That was too close. Thanks, sis."
Spades panted. "I won't let anything happen you, my love."
"What?"
"Nothing."
Later, Black Kitty wake up from her conscious and sees Eight of Spades and Ace Savvy standing in front of her and then noticed she's wrapped up with a rope.
"Dang it." Black Kitty pouted.
Eight of Spades hold her shovel up to her throat. "Now, you did something to my brother and I want you to undo it." She threated her.
"She's your sister? Well, that explained it. But you've beaten so the least I could do is fix my Acey."
Eight of Spades getting mad when she call him "Acey" as she tries to stay cool.
Black Kitty chuckles seeing Eight of Spades getting jealous. "Okay. Look to my eyes, Acey"
Ace come close to Black Kitty. She then gaze into his eyes and used her powers to remove his bad luck for good.
Then, Ace and Eight of Spades turn when hear police siren. It's about time the cops got here.
"Maybe a nice time in jail will help you rethink on what you done, Black-
As the two turn back to Black Kitty, they gasped to see that Black Kitty had already break free and escape.
"What?! How could she escape already? We only look away for a few seconds." Eight of Spades said.
Ace thought to himself. "This kitty is really something."
The next day at school. We see Rusty, Liam, Zack, and Girl Jordan are standing by the lockers having a normal conversation.
"Hey, has anyone seen Lincoln?" Girl Jordan asked the boys.
The gang heard Lincoln coming this way while giggling. What the gang are really surprised is that he's talking to the new girl and the two are getting along just fine.
"Oh hey guys. I don't think I'll have time to hang out with you guys. Me and Stella are heading to the arcades."
"Lincoln tell me how great you guys are. I'll be looking forward to hang out with you guys very soon." Stella said.
The two head out as the gang still confused.
"Well I'll be." Liam said.
"Yeah. I didn't except the two get along after yesterday." Rusty said.
And so Lincoln and Stella become good friend and even have a playful call back at the park just like how they meet. Though, it is nice he gets along with his childhood friend, but he's also bothered about the new Black Kitty. Who is she? I'll find out the next time he face her again. With good luck charms be by my side.
A/N: We're back with another Ace Savvy story introducing a new villain Black Kitty. And no, this Black Kitty is not related to the old Black Kitty who fight Albert in "The Golden Age". A different one that just happen to have the same name. I want to thank my friend The Storyteller993 who help me come up with the idea of the character. Also, this version of Black Kitty is parody of Black Cat from the Spider-Man comic or Marvel's Spider-Man cartoon where Black Cat used her bad luck charms to commit crimes and used it on Spider-Man.
