Episode 37: Along Came A Spider
Night time at Royal Woods, we see two police officers patrolling the streets in their police car.
"This is Officer Rollins reporting in. Things are actually quiet for once." She said talking into the police radio.
As they stop at a red light, Officer #2 spotted something. "You see that?"
Officer Rollins turn to the second officer with a confused look. "What?"
Officer #2 said. "There's someone swinging and it's huge."
Officer Rollins quickly explained the rookie. "It's just one of The Full House swinging by."
"Yeah. You're probably right." Officer #2 said.
The light turn green and they drove off
Later, we cut to the city of Royal Woods as a silhouette swinging around the city. But it doesn't look like any of the Full House gang, the silhouette has six arms with a bulk size shape. The mysterious silhouette continues swinging from different building to building like it's searching for something or someone as it land on the apartment's roof to look down and it looks like it finally find it.
A teenager walking down the streets by himself while recording himself on his cellphone.
"You too can fulfill the dream of being a high paid creator in your spare time, just like me. Just join-(clears throat) Just join in youtube!-yeah that's better. Join yout-(stops to hear weird noises). He pace himself faster to get away from the sound but foolishly went to the wrong way at a dead end through the alley when he wasn't paying attention. The silhouette drop down as it stands behind the teenager. The teenager slowly turn with a terrifying expression. "AAAAHH! GET AWAY!" Hints of the silhouette that it snarls like a creature. The teenager scream for help witch no one can hear. The creature webbed him like a cocoon as it grab the teenager and swing off into the night.
The next morning at the loud house, we see Leni scream at the top of her voices which got Lincoln, Cthylla, and the rest of is sisters attention and rush into Lori/Leni's room.
"Leni, what's wrong?!" Lincoln asked her.
"SPIDER!" Leni pointed on her bed.
Cthylla walked over to Leni's bed to pick a small house spider. She doesn't seem phased of it and in fact, she's actually like the spider as she giggles. "I'm not sure what are you're afraid of. It's harmless."
"GET IT OUT OF HERE!" Leni yelled.
Cthylla open the window to let the spider escape.
Lori comforted Leni.
"It's okay, Leni. It's gone."
Leni sighed in relief. "Thank you."
Cthylla confused and asked Lisa. "Is Leni alright? Why is she afraid of spiders?"
Lisa explained to Cthylla. "Leni suffers an arachnophobia."
Cthylla confused.
"It means fear of spiders." Lisa then explained more details. "When Leni was my age, Leni was bitten by a spider during the vacation. Mother and father take her to the hospital to take care of the spider bite. Thankfully, Leni manage to pull through but that insists scarred her for life."
Cthylla feeling sorry for Leni. "Poor, Leni."
Lori finished comforting her sister and turn to her siblings. "Okay shows over guys. You got school to go too."
Everyone left the room.
Leni whimpered a bit. "I really, really hate spiders."
Lori put her hand on her sister's shoulder. "I know."
Later at the elementary school, Lincoln and Clyde walking down to their locker when stumble upon Liam who looks really tired.
"Sorry, fellas. I didn't get enough sleep." Liam yawned
"What did you do last night? Stay up all night to watch a movie?" Clyde joked
"Actually, I ain't sure what I did but I'm pooped." Liam said rubbing his eyes.
"Well, don't let Mrs. Johnson caught you falling a sleep." Lincoln said.
"I'll try not to." Liam yawned heading to the bathroom.
Lincoln gets a text message form Commissioner Grouse. He said a kid went messing last night. They did find some hair on the grounds that doesn't look human. Lincoln respond that they'll investigate the crime scene tonight.
"Something wrong, Lincoln?" Clyde asked him.
"Kidnapping. But the kidnapper maybe non-human." Lincoln said
Clyde is confused.
Later that night, vanzilla arrived at the crime scene where the teenager got kidnapped. High Card stay inside to keep the van running while Ace Savvy, One-Eyed Jack, and Eleven of Hearts exiting out of the van.
"Look for clues guys. This kidnaper has to leave something." Ace said.
The Gang look around for clues. Eleven of Hearts looks through the trash can which gross her out, One-Eyed look through an empty dumpster but nothing, and lastly Ace switch to detective mode to scan the area and actually did find some hair and piece of...web?
"Jack, would you come over here for sec." Ace said.
One-Eyed walk over to his friend. "What's up?"
Ace whispered to One-Eyed over his ear. "I found some hair and not just that, a piece web. We're dealing with a criminal with a spider gimmick."
"So we got ourselves an evil Spider-Man in our time." One-Eyed Jack whispered back.
"Yeah and what's worst this is going terrified Leni and I don't want her to know this until this over." Ace whispered.
The two turn to Eleven of Hearts.
"Oh did you guys like find anything?" Eleven of Hearts asked.
"Oh uh. Nothing. We should probably head home and search again tomorrow." Ace lied.
Eleven of Hearts yawned. "Yeah you're right. I need to get my beauty sleep."
The gang got inside vanzilla and drove back home.
Later, everyone already went to bed except for Lincoln and Lisa who are analyzing the hair and web. The computer picked that it's organic with human DNA.
"Interesting." Lisa said to herself.
"This kidnapper has spider powers but the question is how. " Lincoln then remembered that he and his classmates went on a field trip to S.O.L.A.R. Labs last week. They were studying spiders if he thinks. "Lisa, you think can make an appointment to S.O.L.A.R. Labs for us?" Lincoln asked
"I'll start making some calls." Lisa said.
The Next day at S.O.L.A.R. Labs, Lincoln and Lisa arrived inside the lab. The walk passed all the cool stuff that scientists are working as they're focused on meeting a group of scientists that theorized or experiment Spiders.
"Hello? Doctor Parker?" Lisa called.
"Who is it?"
"Lisa Loud. This is my brother Lincoln. He's just here for support. I've an appointment. We called about a arachnid problem?"
"What do you think we are, pest control?"
"Well I just need...
Dr. Parker sighed. "Yes, yes come in."
"Thank you, doctor!" Lisa smiled.
Dr. Parker take Lisa and Lincoln to his lab.
"What has labs become knowing allowing kids to come by." Dr. Parker said to himself. "I understand I'm to analyze something for you."
"Well, Doctor Parker. See, We've heard noises and found these in our empty fireplace." Lisa said show the hair and web in two separate plastic bags to Dr. Parker. "They look like hairs and the other looks web but nothing like we've seen before and I'm supposed to be the smart one. We've thought maybe you could tell us if we have a arachnid." problem." Lisa said.
Dr. Parker is annoyed and responded. "And what if they are Spiders, Ms. Loud What then? Squash them like roaches? We won't survive the next evolutionary cataclysm, but spiders will! They're survivors, Ms. Loud, not pests! You should understand that!" He then and spotted Lincoln doing something. "Hey, what do you think you're doing?!"
Lincoln got what he needed and lied as chuckles nervously. "Sorry, I drop my quarter on the floor."
Dr. Parker turn back to Lisa. "Look, I'll analyze the sample and call you for the result. Now, would you please leave."
"Of course. Thank you, Dr. Parker." Lisa thanked.
The two walk out Dr. Parker's lab and closed it behind. Then, they were bump into another scientist. who was walking by.
"My apologies. Are you alright?" Lisa apologies.
"Oh I'm alright." The female scientist surprised to see Lisa here. "Oh Lisa I didn't know you're here, and this must be your brother."
"Hi." Lincoln waived.
"We just finished talking to Dr. Parker and are heading home right now." Lisa said.
"Oh I hope Dr. Parker hasn't cause you any trouble. He's a strange and obsess with spiders and hopefully don't get carried away. He's also a little-uh-protective of all the spiders. I think he likes spiders better than people. But now he's a bit grumpy since one of his spiders escape last week." Female Scientist explained feeling creep about Dr. Parker.
Lincoln and Lisa look each other. "You don't say." Lisa said.
Back at the Ace Cave, Ace and Card Counter are analyzing the spider hair and Dr. Parker's hair to match the DNA on the Ace Computer. Lincoln who pretend he drop his 'quarter' at Dr. Parker's lab is actually gathering a piece of hair from Dr. Parker on the floor. He even noticed that he lose some of his hair probably experiment radiation on spiders. Also, noticed his behavior and obsess with spiders could be possible that he's the kidnapper. One-Eyed Jack came down to check on the results.
"Anything?" One-Eyed Jack asked.
"The computer is calculating the match. I got a hunch that it's Dr. Parker but I can't jump into conclusion without proof." Ace said waiting for the result.
Ace than got an emergency call from High Card and quickly answered.
"High Card?"
"Ace, I found the kidnapper and...oh my god!"
The signal was cute.
"Lori!" Ace activate a tracking device that pin point High Card's frequency. "Let's hurry."
Suddenly, Lisa cellphone rings and answer. "Hello! Dr. Parker, how can I help you?"
"You have a spider, Ms. Loud. Common house spider. They shouldn't pose a problem as long you don't threaten them." Dr. Parker respond
"And the large web?" Lisa asked
"The only spider that can make an larger amount of web is Darwin's bark spider, but that's highly impossible as they live deep in the heart of the Andaside-Mantadia National Park. But I'll continue to check on it to find some answers."
"Appreciate the help. Bye-bye." Card Counter hangs the call and turn to Ace with a confused looked on her face. The hair doesn't not look like any house spiders and what's worst is that the computer finished analyzing it with no match.
On the streets of Royal Woods, Ace Savvy and One-Eyed Jack driving in their cycle tracking down High Card. It leads to an old abandoned parking lot. The two got off their bikes and head inside while being caution of their surroundings. The two are really creep out to the kidnapper's hideout is covering webs like it's its personal home like actual spider. Thankfully, Eleven of Hearts isn't here. Otherwise, things will get worst. One-Eyed spotted two hostages still wrapped in web struggle to break free.
"Don't struggle. I'll set you guys free." One-Eyed Jack whispered to hostages as he used his cards to cut them free.
The two were happy the heroes came and saved them.
"You're welcome." One-Eyed Jack smiled. "Now, get out of here."
Two teenagers escape the parking lot safe and sound.
Now, they have to find High Card. Hopefully she's still alive. The head deep into the parking lot and happily found High Card alive and well just wrapped up in web as well. The two rush over to free High Card. "Are you alright?"
"Yeah. Thank guys. But you won't believe what I just saw. The kidnapper he's...
High Card was interrupted when the kidnaper finally reveal it self to be a feet taller, six gray and hairy arms. Two gray feet with two claws on each foot came out while the legs on his pants got torn apart as well. A small gray head, two big fangs and six red eyes that appeared, he look down looked at the Full House who looked shocked at the kidnaper appearance, then the spider creature roared as he ran towards them to attack them.
High Card was the first to get out of his shock and ran towards the Spider creature with her sword, she took a swing but missed when the creature jump over her.
The Spider creature knock High Card to the size. Then, Spider creature roared before he ran towards Ace and One-Eyed Jack.
But Ace and One-Eyed got out of the away to throw explosive cards on the creatures head which damage, Ace then tried to attack the Spider Creature but he used his middle right arm and punched Ace hard enough to send him flying into High Card.
One-Eyed throws more exploding cards to get it's attention. The Spider Creature charges towards One-Eyed Jack and grab him by the cap and threw him out of the away before he could make a run for it.
Ace and High Card recovered to dived out of the way for the massive body that was coming towards them before it hit the ground hard enough to make it shake. The Spider Creature saw One-Eyed Jack rush towards him and pulled his head back before he spit a green liquid out of his mouth.
One-Eyed avoid it and lucky so as it turns out the green stuff is acid spit.
The Spider Creature suddenly got hit from behind by Ace, he turned around and spit more spider venom towards Ace, Ace ducked and stood there preparing another attack. The Spider Creature spits more spider venom at him, Ace kept dodging his acid spit as he throws more exploding cards hurting him even more as it looks like he's about to do down.
"Give this thing everything you got!" Ace said.
The Full House throws all their explosives' cards onto the creature until they ran out. All the explosion finally did a number on the creature and fell down unconscious. The Full House get a better close on the creature. Such an ugly monster but who is this creature. Looks like they got their answers as the Spider Creature is transforming back to a normal person, but what really surprised Ace and One-Eyed is that creature true identity is their friend name...Liam.
"Liam? How is that possible, Ace?"
"I don't know. We got to take the Ace Cave for answers."
High Card carried Liam into Vanzilla and they drove off back to home
Back at the Ace Cave, Liam still unconscious strap down on to operating table while High Card is watching over him. Card Counter is sitting by the Ace Computer in hoping to create an antidote for Liam. Both Ace and One-Eyed Jack are still pummeled of Liam on how he became like this.
"This doesn't make any sense bro."
"I know, I know. I truly thought it would Dr. Parker but it turns out it's actually our friend." Ace tries to figure out the solution until he remembered. "The field trip."
One-Eyed Jack gasped as he too remembered.
*FLASHBACK*
Mrs. Johnson take her students on a field trip to S.O.L.A.R. Labs to study spiders. The students look around and sees all different kinds of spiders some are amazed while others creeped out.
Guide explained. "There are over 32,000 known species of spider in the world. They're in the order Araneae, divided into three suborders."
"Tarnation! Look at the sizes of these critters. It's unreal." Liam said excitedly looking at one of the cases.
"Arachnids from all three groups possess varying strengths which help them in their constant search for food. For example, the Delena spider, family Sparassidae has the ability to jump to catch its prey." Guide continues explaining. Next, we have the net web spider, family Filistatidae genus Kukulcania. It spins an intricate funnel shaped web whose strands have a tensile strength proportionately equal to the type of high tension wire."
Rusty yawned of boredom.
Mrs. Johnson glared at Rusty.
Rusty chuckles nervously.
Clyde spotted an interesting spider. "Hey, look at that spider."
"Some these critters change colors to blend into their environment like a dang defense mechanism." Liam shortly explained
"Since when you're expert of Spider's?" Lincoln asked Liam
"Expert?" Liam confusingly answered.
"...transfer RNA to encode an entirely new genome combining the genetic information from all three into these 15 genetically designed super-spiders."
Girl Jordan noticed there are 14 spiders when she look closer. "There's only 14. One's missing."
Guide sighed. "Dr. Parker is probably using it for research again.
But Dr. Parker didn't take out the spider for research, it actually escape. This spider was experiment with radiation and is highly intelligence. Unfortunately, the spider got a short live stance due to radiation so it try to find someone to bite and there it is. Liam is the perfect choice. It slowly crawls down using it's web on to Liam's hand and bite which Liam cried in pain and smack the spider away.
"Dang that sting." Liam said as he rubbed his hand.
Lincoln noticed Liam feeling strange. "You feeling okay?"
"I'm good." Liam respond.
"Let's go you two." Mrs. Johnson said.
The two follow the teacher.
*FLASHBACK END*
"Liam got bitten by radioactive spider that transformed into that monster." Ace said.
"Dang, we should have notice it sooner. The way kept rubbing his hands, feeling exhausted it." One-Eyed turn to Liam. "Don't worry buddy everything is going to be okay."
"Lisa, tell me you have any good news."
Lisa answered while putting into a syringe. "I believe I do. It took me awhile but I'd finished the antidote. But I need to do more test to make sure it'll work."
The Full House hears a groaning coming from Liam as he's beginning to transformed into the Spider Creature again.
"No time for test!" Ace quickly grabbed the antidote and jabbed into Liam's arm and watches the transformation revert back to Liam still unconscious.
Everyone sighed in relief.
Ace smiled. "Let's get you home, Liam."
It was Monday morning at Elementary School, Lincoln and Clyde check on Liam by the locker and looks really great and not exhausted.
"Howdy, guys."
"Hey, Liam. You're looking good." Lincoln said.
"Yeah I got some good night. But strangest thing about my dream was I turn into some freaky spider and attack The Full House."
Lincoln and Clyde laughed nervously. "Yeah...strangest." They said.
"Well, I better get to class. See ya."
"Bye, Liam." Clyde then turn to Lincoln with a smile. "Glad Liam is back to his normal self. The antidote did a fine job on him."
"Yeah; for now." Lincoln knows the antidote cured Liam but it wasn't tested. He's not sure if this will happen again. All he has to to do is pray and hope it won't happen.
