Episode 38: Feat of Putty
"Again!" Blue Jay's voice was harsh and demanding, it bounced off of the walls sounding ten times as loud to Ace. He did the flip again, this time landing it perfectly despite the blinding pain that threatened to knock him off his feet. He was sweaty, dizzy, and incredibly tired. For five hours now he had been training with Blue Jay, honing his skills, preparing himself for the Crows. Never to Lincoln's recollection had he been in such pain, even when practicing his acrobatics at home. His muscles were sore, his head was throbbing, and this was nothing like he'd expecting training with a hero would be. It was hard, but no matter how much he tried, how well he thought he did, Blue Jay wouldn't let up.
"Again! And this time don't wobble when you land." Was he serious? He had landed perfectly! Sure he felt woozy, but he'd be dammed if he let that botch his landings. This was impossible, what more did Blue Jay want? And not once had he complimented his skills. Ace wasn't one to brag but he knew he was extremely talented for his age, but Blue Jay didn't think it enough, didn't even seem to notice just how much Ace was trying. It was annoying, and it got on Ace's last nerve.
"I did not wobble!" Ace exploded. He knew better than to talk back to his savior but he was too fed up with the attitude the Blue Jay was giving him. But as soon as he said it, he froze. In return he received a cold, piercing glare. It chilled Ace to the bone, it scared him. Slowly, Blue Jay walked towards his friend. Ace had half a mind to run away, but he stood his ground. He had been disrespectful, and he was going to suffer the consequences.
He loomed over Ace, his figure threatening. His eyes were narrowed and a displeased frown was painted on his face. Ace swallowed but waited for the man before him to speak. When he did, it was just as harsh as Ace thought it would be.
"This is not acceptable, you can do better and you know it if you're going to face the Legion of Crows"
"But I am working hard!" Ace couldn't help but burst out again. Doing better sounded easy enough but to actually attempt it, in his condition nonetheless, was a lot harder.
At this second outburst, Blue Jay held back no longer. "Did you think this was going to be easy? Did you think that just 'working hard' was going to save you out there? The Crows are trained assassins and are not going to take it easy on you like I am. It's survival of the fittest in this world, and as you stand right now you won't last a minute. If you don't fight harder, if you don't fight better, you will be killed."
He's right. Of all the villains he fought, the crows are the most dangerous threat he face. And if he's going to stop them than he has to try hard, he would try. Harder.
In one swift motion the floor disappeared from underneath Ace's feet as he jumped in the air and did the exact same flip he had been doing for five hours straight. He landed, straight up, no wobble, no sign of the pain and anger and fear he was feeling, and definitely no outburst. He wanted so bad to yell, to scream at the top of his lungs that he had done it right and he knew it, but he held back. Instead Ace Savvy stared down Blue Jay with as much ferocity in his eyes.
Without a single word Blue Jay broke eye contact and smiled. "Not bad."
Ace smiled and before he could respond, he got a call from Lola as he answers. "Okay, I'm on my way back." He responded and then quickly hang up, then turn to Blue Jay. "Got to go. I promise my sister I'd help her with her pageant. You don't mind we trained another time?" Ace asked.
"Of course. Go right ahead." Blue Jay said.
"Thanks." Ace dash to his Ace Cycle and drove back home.
Blue Joy watches the hero leave. "You've improvement. But you're still holding back." He said to himself.
The next morning outside of the Loud House, Lola is showing her posture.
Lincoln on a megaphone and said. "Good. And turn..." [Lola turns to the viewers.] "...and wave." [Lola waves to the viewers.] "More teeth." [Lola gives an oversized grin.] "Less teeth." [Lola turns it down a bit with a nice pearly white smile.] "Excellent! Keep it up!"
Lola smiled. "Again, I do appreciate that you help me practice for the pageant tomorrow."
"Anything for my favorite little sister. But still aren't you worry just a little?" Lincoln asked.
Lola chuckles. "Oh, Lincoln. You're speaking to a Pageant champion who won every year, worrying are for the weak ones."
"I'm mean aren't you worry about that girl Lindsay, who is your rival at the pageant, she always find a way to ruin you so she could win." Lincoln reminded her.
Lola scoffs. "I ain't afraid of that loser either. No matter what she had plan, it always backfired on her and I win in the end."
Lincoln still worried but just accept it. "Okay, if you say so."
Elsewhere at the Huntington Manor, at one of the mansion owned by the Sweetwaters, we see outside of Sweetwaters where Mrs. Sweetwaters siting on her chair waiting for her daughter to come out to practice for the upcoming pageant, but she still hasn't come. Feeling worried, she head back inside to walk upstairs up to her daughter's room.
Inside Lindsay's room, Lindsay was in a desperate and a terrified state as she trash her entire room searching for her face cream. "C'mon! C'mon! Where are ya?!" She yelled pulling out each draws from her dressing tables.
"Sweetie, are you okay in there?" Mrs. Sweetwater opens the door to enter her daughter's room. "Lindsay?"
Lindsay covering her face and away from her mother. "Close the door!"
"It's your mother, Lindsay." She said.
"CLOSE THE DOOR!" Lindsay yelled! "Help me look... it's gotta be here somewhere."
Mrs. Sweetwater close the door behind her. "The face cream? You used that up yesterday...
Lindsay turn to her mother reveal that her entire face is...normal? No disfigurement, no pimples, no zits, and not even scars. "No! I gotta have more! Now! See, it wore off! Look! I can't make it beautiful anymore!" She yelled pointing at her own.
"Relax, Lindsay." Mrs. Sweetwater said trying to calm her daughter down.
"Don't tell me to relax, you idiot! I can't go out practice like this!" Lindsay yelled some more while keep pointing her own face again.
Mrs. Sweetwater sigh to take out the face cream call 'RadianceReshape' which her daughter used on her face. "Here..."
Lindsay dash to snatch the vase from her mother's hand. "Give it to me!" Her body shakes, breaths heavily, and her eyes twitches like a drug addict as she tries to open, and to her shock when see inside the vase that there's only a little bit of left. "That's all?" She asked.
"I was lucky I could hang onto that much."
Lindsay groan in frustrated as she puts the stuff on her face to make her look even younger. "You were holding out on me?! You're own daughter!"
"I had to Sweetie. If I didn't, you wouldn't have anything now!" Mrs. Sweetwater comfort her daughter. "You have to stop this, Lindsay. There is nothing wrong with your face. You're just as beautiful before you even taken this stuff".
"Shut up mom! You don't know what it's like to be less beautiful than your opponent!" Lindsay yelled at her mother. Y
"I don't, but it's hurting you bad. It's even making your face like putty."
"I don't give a shit if it makes my face soft like clay! This stuff is the only way to make me even more beautiful! I'm so sick and tired of that bimbo Lola beaten me every year, and I will not let her beat me this year!"
Mrs. Sweetwater sigh. "I'm going to regret saying this but...RadianceReshape has been discounted and are being pull from stores do to reports of causing addiction behavior both physically and mentally."
"WHAT?! NO! I need it for tomorrow!" She grabbed her mom's hand to take her outside to their car. "We're going shopping!"
"But Lindsay..."
"Don't 'but Lindsay' me! I want to win that Pageant by any means necessary."
Meanwhile, A montage shows Lincoln prepping up Lola. First, he applies blush onto her face. Next, she sneeze gets glitter all over Lincoln. Second, she spits out her two front teeth retainer for Lincoln to brush.
Lincoln sighed, but still grossed out. "I always hated this part!" He said as he starts brushing.
Third, he irons her dress with his left hand, brushes her hair with his right, and paints her nails with his right foot as she lays in bed in a robe, with cucumbers on her eyes and white bunny slippers. End montage. Lincoln uses a lint catcher as Lola poses.
"You look fabulous, darling." Lincoln compliant Lola using a fake flamboyant voice.
"I know, but thank you. Tomorrow is going to be an easy win, and Lindsay is going to have to eat her own dress once I beaten her again." Lola smiled.
Back with the Sweetwaters, they've return home after trying searching through different store. Unfortunately, they have no luck. Every near by store had already stop selling the special facial cream which made Lindsay furious as she storms off to her room. Her mother tries to talk to her Lindsay but get cuss off by her own daughter.
"Now, Lindsay, you know I don't like you using fowl language."
"Shut up! It's all your fault! If you had drive faster, we could have at least grab one of the cream! Now, I'm going to lose the Beauty Pageant for sure!"
She slam the door in front of her mother. Then, jump on to her bed to scream the top of her lungs into her pillow until she calm down. "There has to be one store that has it. I'm sure of it. She had an evil grin.
Later that night, Lindsay check her on her laptop to search up any stores that has RadianceReshape and to her luck she has which is located at another city. It's 9:23 P.M. and only have hours until the Beauty Pageant began so she has to hurry as she quickly got dressed to sneak out of her to check on her mom to make sure she's sleeping. "Good. Now, she won't get in my way." She whispered to herself. She tip-toe to steal her fancy bag with her purse that contains credit card with lots of money in it. Next, she sneak to her maid's room to wake her up which spook the maid, but her mouth was covered. "Listen, I'll pay you extra if you do what I say for tonight, and you don't ever say anything about this to my mom." The Maid nods. "Good. Now, quickly get dressed. We don't have much time." She whispered.
A montage shows Lindsay and the Maid drives to a different city to find every single stores that has the special face cream she really wanted. Some are sold out while others aren't. Lindsay buys every single one of the RadianceReshape from each and every store she comes into. End Montage. Lindsay grab all the bags to her room and lock it.
Lindsay giggles as she open one of them. "Come to mama." She opens it and rub it on her face. When she used it up, she opens another one, and then another one with a montage rubbing the stuff on to her face while laughing manically.
The next morning, Mrs. Sweetwater woke up. She do wish her daughter would rethink on going to the beauty pageant so she can get her daughter some help, but you know his daughter and she doesn't want to fight her. "Sweetie, it's time to get up. You don't want to missed the big event." Lindsay's door unlock to slowly open to reveal her mother to the 'new improve' Lindsay. "Lindsay? Oh my god! What have you done to yourself?"
Lindsay chuckles. "What I've done is making myself the most beautiful girl in Royal Woods. Time to steal Lola's win."
The next day at the pageant, Lincoln and Lana arrive and Lincoln is a little worried about the competition.
Lincoln gulped. "Whoa. Look at those girls!"
"Don't lose your nerve, Lincoln. I got this." Lola said. She then looks around on the other girls with their mediocre makeup and dresses which makes her laugh. Though, her most concern is her pageant rival Lindsay, who always tries to beat me but always failed. I wonder she has plan. Probably something dumb because no matter what she do, she always lose.
Suddenly, the doors burst open to reveal Lindsay (with the most beautiful face on the planet) walking down making all the other little pageants gazed upon Lindsay without saying a word including Lola and Lincoln. The amazement gets Lindsay confident to finally win and to rub into Lola's face, she sees Lola and approached to her nemesis.
"L-Lindsay?"
"That's right, Lola. And by you're reaction, you're excited too see me."
Lola snapped out of it to try hating Lindsay. "As if. Just because you got your face fixed, doesn't mean you're prettier than me. I will win this Pageant!"
Lindsay smirked. "We'll shall see." As she walks away.
Lincoln turn to his sister. "Worried now?"
Lola now feeling defeated. "Yeah."
The Pageant had begun. Once again a montage procced from introducing themselves to the judges but Lindsay already win the judges not just her introduction, but her face. Next while still on the montage as the little princess tryout singing, costumes, swimsuit competition, and finally the talent show. And every event, Lindsay won making Lola mad. Now with the montage end, it's time for the final verdict as the judges discussed to each other who the winner.
"We've made our decisions. We decree our Little Miss Princess shall be…Lindsay Sweetwater."
Lindsay gasped.
Everyone cheered including mother saying how proud of her daughter.
Lola is surprised that her long time enemy actually beats.
"Loser!" Lindsay mocking Lola. Then, she approach one of the judges with a crown on his hand. "Thank you! Thank you all! You've made this girl the happiest princess in Royal Woods!" Lindsay said to her audience while waiving. Just as soon the judge place the crown on her head, something went wrong. The crown sinks down on her head like a rock on a pillow. This surprised the judges.
"Is something wrong?" Lindsay asked the judge. Then, suddenly, Lindsay started to feel pain like excruciating pain.
Everyone is stunned and question on what's going on even Lincoln and Lola noticed it as well. Lindsay's mother rush over to know what's wrong but as soon she tries to check her daughter, she's see's her skin turning vanilla white as her body began to melt but also transforming her as well. Everyone to their horror screaming on what they saw and knowing what's going to happen so ran off the pageant. It seems that all the abused she giving on to herself by putting a lot unstable RadianceReshape all over her body that soaks into her DNA making her putty and gooey. Lindsay's clothes turn into white goo as well while she's growing big. This does not look good as Lincoln and Lola find a bathroom to change into their costumes. The transformation is complete Lindsay now a giant white putty monster.
Mrs. Sweetwater looked up to see her daughter still in state of horror. "L-Lindsay?"
The Putty Monster looking around, then looks down on her hand which shock her, and then sees a reflection on herself which horrifies her and disgusted of her appearance. Her beauty is gone, now she's a monster. And what's the first thing she's going to say?
"N-NO! MY BEAUTY! I'M HIDEIOUS!" She look down on to her mother. "YOU! THIS IS ALL YOUR FAULT! "
"S-sweetie! I'd nothing do anything hurt you! I don't even know what's happening here or how you become like this!"
"EVERYHTING YOU'VE DONE OR HAVEN'T DONE ALWAYS, YOUR FAULT! AND FOR THAT, YOU'LL PAY!"
Lindsay was about to crush her mother under foot. Lucky for Mrs. Sweetwater, Ace Savvy grappled on to swing down to save her.
Next, Queens of Diamonds swoop down to face Lindsay. "Lindsay, geez! What the heck happen too you?! You've done stupid things in the past, but this one takes the cake!"
"STAY OUT OF THIS!"
Lindsay threw a punch, even though she was much too far away. Her arm liquefied and stretched several feet, the end forming into an anvil embedded in the goo which surprises her that she could do that. Queen of Diamond jumped to the side as the anvil slammed into the wall, breaking straight through it. It melted back into goo as Lindsay retracted her arm, and it took on its natural shape once again.
"You okay?" asked Ace Savvy, "It seems she can shape her body into different objects, and even change the material. Oh man Card Counter would have a blast of seeing this."
"What?! No fair! Lindsay is a monster and already she's learning how to change shape!"
Lindsay chuckled. "Incredible. I wonder what else I could do."
"Oh boy." Queens whimpered.
"Get ready." Ace Savvy tells Queens of Diamonds, and he and Queens charged at her.
Grinning, Lindsay raised her fist, her hand forming a sludge hammer. It came down, cracking the floor apart, but Queen of Hearts had jumped up to avoid it and throws her tiara at Lindsay's head to accidentally cut off her. Queen didn't mean to it was supposed to knock her out, and Lindsay grunted in pain, but then broke out into a grin as her head grew back.
As Queen of Hearts stared in shock, he backhanded her, and she went flying through the air, crashing down on top of the judges table. Groaning, she sat up, staring at Lindsay. "Regeneration. Terrific."
Ace Savvy charged at the monster. The ends of Lindsay's hands turned into spiky metal balls and chains, and he swung them at the young hero. Ace ducked beneath the first and jumped over the second, leaping at Lindsay. He throws his sharp cards above the chain on one of Lindsay's arm, slicing through the chain and severing her arm. He did the same with her other arm, then jumped up and cut her head in half.
The card became stuck in Lindsay's body in his midsection. Then, he used part of his body to form tentacles to wrap around Ace and pulled him into her body. .
Lindsay's foot kicked out, sending Ace flying. The two halves of Lindsay's head came back together and reformed. Sneering at Ace, her chest spat out several of Ace's cards, and it stabbed into the ground right between Ace's legs. Chuckling, his severed arms spilled out more goo, flowing over the severed limbs Ace had cut off. The balls and chains melted into goo once again and were sucked up, Lindsay's arms taking form once again.
Pushing the broken half of the table that was on top of her of, Queens of Hearts stood up with minor injures.
Looking back at Queen of Hearts, Lindsay grinned. "Having fun?"
Queen growls. "This is ridiculous, Lindsay! Stop this nonsense and let my brother help you by finding a cure for you."
"You know for few seconds I hated this and blame my mother for this, but when fighting you and the things I could do. Why the hell should I want be cured? I can shape-shift to anything and anyone that I like." Lindsay explained. "Hell, I'll even used these ability to cheat on every pageant to get what I want. No longer I'll be second best against by other girls especially that bitch Lola, who I truly hate the most."
"Maybe if you try working hard instead of cheating and gaslight other people for your loses, you could and maybe had won." Queen of Hearts argued.
"How would you know? You're just a superhero not a beauty pageant." Lindsay clapped back.
"True, but I do know how to kick your butt." Queen of Diamonds smirked
Queen of Hearts flying out behind him, she charged at the beast. Lindsay lashed out, her fist flying forward on a stream of goo, her knuckles sprouted spikes. Queen of Diamonds jumped over the flying fist and flash her costume onto the monster's face. Blinded, Lindsay stumbled back, out of the cloud, allowing to close the distance between them.
She leapt up, flipping over Lindsay's head. The monster grabbed for her, but missed, and Queen slapped throws explosive cards on the back of her head. It went off, and Lindsay's head and a portion of her upper body was blown apart. She stumbled about, her arms randomly grabbing at the air as Queen fired her grapple gun into her back. It burst out of Lindsay's chest, before retracting.
The grapple latched onto Lindsay's body from the other side, and Queen gave it a yank. Queen stumbled a few steps back before the grapple went through her body again, and Queen fell forward. Turning around, Lindsay's body reformed and she balled her fists together, fusing them into a large ball that she prepared to bring down on the Queen of Hearts.
A second grapple flew between Ace Savvy's raised arms, and Ace, who quickly recovered, came flying through. He cut through one of Lindsay's arms, then the other, as he passed through the space, and the large ball Lindsay had turned her hands into dropped down onto her head, mashing it into her body.
Swinging back around, Ace slammed into Lindsay's chest, knocking her over, The monster growled, her entire body liquefying and reshaping into one piece. Ace, by this time, had gotten to his feet, and Ace landed beside him. Lindsay glared at them and started towards them, but Queen of Heart's tiara suddenly sliced around his ankle, making him fall over.
"This is getting annoying," Queen of Hearts growled. "How are we supposed to beat someone who can alter his body like that?"
Ace think for a second and remembered that his sisters Lori and Leni used a new face cream to put on their faces but it burn their skin, so they quickly wash the stuff off. This gives him an idea as he looks up the ceiling to see the fire sprinklers. "I got it. Used your exploding cards onto the sprinklers."
Queen is confused. "Why?"
"Just do it." Ace said.
The two throw their explosive cards up to the air near the sprinklers which exploded for the smoke to come and activate the sprinklers pouring water everywhere.
Lindsay laughed. "All you're doing is making mad by getting me soaked." Lindsay went on the attack. But suddenly, her arm falls off. "What the?!" Next, her other arm falls off too. She tries to regenerate but it's quick enough but then soon realized that her body is melting away too while screaming in horror that she's about to die. She tries to escape this place but it was too late as she fully melted by water washing away.
"LINDSAY!" Mrs. Sweetwater rush to her daughter to try and save her, but there is nothing she could. All she could do is sobbed heavily over her remains which nothing by stains on the floor.
Later at the Ace Cave, Ace and Card Counter is looking at the RadianceReshape vase (that Ace took from Lindsay's home when the police doing investigation) to preform experiment on using the sample of Lindsay's goo while Queen of Hearts sitting on the staircase thinking about Lindsay. The two never like each other since toddlers and well always compete each other which resulting Lola wining everything. She kind of wish that maybe we should have been friends since if she had remember had started the fight many years ago and Lindsay had gotten desperate in the process. But now she's dead, and there's nothing she could do about it now. Queen got up to join her siblings in the lab.
"I'm not sure why we're doing this." Queen said.
"We need to know how Lindsay become that creature. And by the looks of it, she's been using a lot face cream called "RadianceReshape" at the same time." Ace explained looking at the vase.
"Oh yeah I've heard that stuff." Queen remembered. "News say it was pull off stores."
"Correct. This facial cream caused a major side effect like making your face all putty, and causing mental illness." Ace continues. "I never knew it takes all of that to transform someone into a monster."
Card Counter noticed something. "Lincoln, look at this."
Ace, Queen, and Card Counter check out the glass container where they place of Lindsay's goo sample. To their surprised, it's starting moving on it's own.
"No way. It's alive." Queen gasped. "Then, does this means..."
Ace nods. "Yeah. I don't think this is the end for Lindsay."
Later that night, at the same stage where the pageant took place, the dry white stain started to move as it slowly come together to form an eye.

1. Lindsay Sweeter is basically like DC comics Clayface but goo. In fact, this episode is loosely based off Batman TAS episode "Feat of Clay" even the title is a reference too it.
