The Lightning Dragon
Oh dragon born of lightning
Awaken from within
That thou might stand beside me
And serve my every whim
Of course never in malice
Only ever with gentle hand
Against our every enemy
Together we'll make a stand
We'll watch them run
As we take to the skies
Scurrying like ants
Fearing their demise
But that shan't come
For today will be
A day for thinking
And for just being free
Through the clouds we fly
With just enough thought to keep you here
My thoughts wander to other things
Of times both far and near
From the day that we first met
And I named you after Wisp
To the day you carried me
When my love had turned to mist
Together we've been through a lot
Times more numerous than I can count
But I know you're always with me
My fearless Lightning mount
