Okay, I have no idea where this came from. But I guess you guys get a third poem today. This one is about a next gen character of mine. Hope you all enjoy.
June
The first time I met her, she was tiny
She fit into my arms so delicately
She gave a tiny yawn
Snuggled closer in the dawn
Then opened her eyes to look at me
I knew right then who I held
And I dare say my heart swelled
For hidden in her eyes
Was an electric surprise
So to Nya her name I spelled
But then I blinked and just like that
My own self on a chair I sat
For she had gotten to her feet
And to her own tiny beat
Had come for me and my hat
When I told the others what she'd done
It was like a championship had been won
But she just smiled
Which made my heart go wild
Then her uncles took her to have fun
She wasn't alone next I knew
Almost suddenly there were two
She now had a brother
Who took after his mother
But Kai took the first hug from his nephew
And still my little girl was happy
Despite trying to move attentions from a dirty nappy
But she had also started school
And, to me, was looking like a jewel
But I also noticed she was getting a little zappy
Pretty quickly she was learning to cook
Not to mention defend herself against crooks
But she was just barely twelve
With her childhood being put on a shelve
I honestly didn't know where to look
Then her second brother was born
And a certain air she did adorn
She became protective of her kin
yet still had a shine to her skin
She was definitely a rose who had her thorns
Next thing I knew she was going out
To which I had my own doubts
But with baby four in my arms
Gracing us with her own special charms
The most I could do was pout
My baby was growing up so fast
I thought the time we had would be vast
But as I led her down the aisle
All I could do was smile
I knew what time left would be a blast
Her husband was my best friend's son
Who, no joke, could carry six tonnes
Both Nya and I were worried
That everything had been hurried
But we were reassured he was the one
Now I hold a little moon
To whom I hum a soothing tune
She looks just like her mother
But she'll take after her father
There's nothing more I could want for my June
