This took me a few days to figure out in amongst other things that I've been doing, but I hope you all like the sequel to Kids Again.

Return Of Red And Black

The scary thing about Kai and Cole,
As I gaze upon their sleeping forms,
Was not that they had been de-aged
But their elements were still in play.

Day one for me was in the med bay.
But as soon as I could perform,
I was in charge of watching my two friends.
And so started the second day.

Kai still saw me as a threat.
I was often looking out for attacks.
But strangely they had lessened
Since we had returned home.

And then, of course, there was Cole
Who had managed to see my back.
Beats me where he got it all from,
But somehow he covered me in foam.

That was how the others found me,
Wrapped in foam lying on the floor,
With Cole yelling his lungs out
And Kai standing on my chest.

Day three started with caution.
Watching Kai was a chore.
But to find some tea ingredients,
The others had gone on a quest.

That left me to discover
That elements were still in play
Thanks to Cole accidentally tripping
And landing in a soft pile of dirt.

The look on his face was upsetting,
As he stood in the doorway.
He ended up getting a bath
And wearing an average Cole shirt.

Then Kai set the lounge on fire
And gave himself quite the scare.
I found myself soothing him
As tears threatened to escape.

We had to order a new lounge.
And yet, I don't really care.
Because Kai has started to trust me.
He's turned my shirt into a cape.

"I want to be prepared", he said.
Prepared for what, I do not know.
Because a cape won't help
With another elemental accident.

Thankfully they fell asleep
A not so short time ago.
And the others have returned now.
I can hear the life's ascent.

Nya just can't help herself
When she walks into the room.
I hear her phone go off
As she snaps a photo.

Lloyd and Zane walk past with smiles,
To make the age tea, I presume.
My thoughts wonder, as I watch the kids,
Will they remember when the grow?

All too soon comes the time
To wake our friends from their dreams.
Zane pours the tea into cups
As the two young ninja stretch.

Said Zane, 'you must drink all
While the cup still steams'.
Kai and Cole pulled faces as they drank,
But it was the light that had us on edge.

And when the light faded
We were greeted with Red and Black
Looking at the four of us,
Eyes glistening in clear confusion.

Nya launched herself at Kai,
Clearly glad to have her brother back.
Lloyd was just glad that his
Ordeal had become a solution.

But I got the feeling,
And this was later that night,
When I looked in their eyes
There was something new there.

As the day had drawn on
They remembered the fight,
They remembered what happened,
They remembered my care.

And if the others entered the lounge room
They would have gotten quite the sight.
Kai and Cole were asleep on my lap
With my hands entangled in their hair.
