Robert and Holly found their way to a secluded restaurant. They both agreed they wanted to at least do this before they had to go back home.
The two ordered their food and then sat across from each other, gazing into each other's eyes.
"Is this everything you always hoped it would be?" Robert kissed Holly's hand.
"And then some." Holly grinned as she heard the music playing. "You up for a dance?" He asked.
Robert's face lit up. "With you? Always."
The two got up and went over to the dance floor, Robert kissed Holly's head and her his cheek.
"I've always loved dancing with you." Holly held onto Robert as if she was going to lose him.
"When the WSB was making me pretend to be dead, I would have dreams of us dancing, dreams of the life we should have had." Robert was trying not to get emotional but failing. He hated that everything went sideways.
Holly reached up and stroked his cheek. "I used to, too, darling. It's a reason I had to leave Port Charles, I hated leaving Robin, but my heart hurt too much there. I tried numbing it with Bill, but that just made things worse."
Robert and Holly had discussed Bill when they were back together before. Any respect Robert had for that fool was lost. "Robin knew you loved her. She knows you love her. That's why you're Emma and Noah's Grandma Holly."
Holly beamed, she loved Robin and her children so much. "She's always been so lovely."
"So has her stepmom." Robert winked at her. "You really are the one person who completes me."
Holly gazed into his eyes. "You're my everything. Any time life has gotten rough, I just thought of our memories."
Robert kissed her head again. "Remember in 86 when I finally got you here?" Robert asked.
Holly nodded and had a sparkle in her eye. "Yes, and I seem to recall you didn't want to leave the room then either."
Flashback to Paris in 1986
Holly laid underneath the covers as Robert got them both some champagne. "You know I figured that I would see more than you when we got to Paris, not that I'm complaining." Holly sat up and took her glass. "Thank you."
Robert took a seat. "You're welcome. You did tell me it was the city of lovers, I didn't want to let you down." He grinned at her and kissed her neck.
"Oh. So that's what you are doing?" Holly giggled before taking a drink.
"I just can't keep my hands off of you. We have such a wonderful life in Australia. I have the most beautiful wife." Robert grinned and kissed her shoulder.
"I have a handsome husband with a one track mind." Holly grinned at him.
"It's a great one, though. I promise I will take you out around the town, but right now, I just want to take you." Robert gave her a kiss.
End of flashback
"Well I've always been a smart man." Robert grinned at Holly.
"Oh yes, smart and amorous." Holly grinned.
"Now that's not fair." Robert laughed.
"It's the truth but you know I wouldn't change you." Holly gave him a tender kiss.
Robert deepened it, resting his forehead against hers after. "I love you more than life itself."
