Robert looked at Holly. There was no point in trying to hide anything because she would see right through him. Nobody knew him better. "No, but I will be. I just went into this protect mode that I can't get out of. The thought of someone hurting you or Seana was too much."
Holly moved her hand up to his cheek. "You know Seana and I are so grateful. She doesn't get it now, but I can say that just like me, she had complete faith in her grandpa."
Robert looked into those eyes, his favorite set. "Maybe I should resign." Robert felt like he was bringing more harm to them and he hated that, he hated them being targetted because of him.
Holly shook her head. "Absolutely not. If you really wanted to, that would be one thing, but this is what they want. To intimate you and you Robert Scorpio are the last person to let anyone do that to you, especially the mob."
Robert sighed. She was right. She usually was. "I know I can't let them win, but if he hurts one of you..."
Holly cut him off, shaking her head. "Don't go there, darling. We are fine. We are going to stay fine, this town needs someone like you in charge."
Robert smiled lovingly at her, the faith she had in him meant to world to him. He had never known a truer love. "How did I get so lucky?"
"By saving me all those years ago, now we save each other. This world has nothing on us." She got up and went over to give him a kiss.
Robert wrapped his arms around her and kissed her. "I love you."
Holly gazed into his eyes. "I love you too. How does a sauna sound?"
Robert groaned and kissed her head. "Oh you read my mind."
