Memories Of Her-Ch 15
When Desiree came back down the hall Shannon was right behind her and when she walked into Derek's room the others were right behind her and as they all gathered around his bed Shannon said, "so how are you feeling this morning?", he said, "tired, hungry and hazy, really really hazy".
She nodded her head and said, "that's normal with the amount of drug you have been given over the past several months but don't worry we have you on medication that will counteract against the drugs and hopefully get your memories all back for you", Derek looked from Penelope to everybody else in the room and said, "I hope so".
Shannon said, "well I'm going to draw some more blood and then leave you alone with your family", Derek nodded his head and said, "thank you", she said, "you are very welcome" and a few minutes later while she was gathering her things to leave she said, "if any of you need anything please just push the call button and let us know".
Penelope said, "thank you so much Shannon", she said, "you are all very welcome", she started walking away from the bed but turned and said, "when I get the results back I'll come in and let you know about your levels", Fran said, "thank you again" to which Shannon said, "no problem, no problem at all".
When Shannon was gone Fran and the girls stepped forward and said, "I heard that my baby boy was hungry sooooooooo" as she put him down a container filled with scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, gravy and biscuits, Derek smiled and said, "thank you it smells amazing" as he sat up and got ready to eat the food in front of him.
Sarah then handed Penelope some food and she said, "but", Desi said, "no buts Penelope, you're pregnant and that baby needs nourishment too sooooo", she took the food and said, "thank you Desi", who winked at her and said, "that's what sisters are for" causing Penelope to smile.
While they were eating Derek said, "let me see how much I can remember", everybody looked at him and nodded their heads yes as he looked around and said, "you're Reid", he said, "correct", next he looked at JJ and said, "JJ, right?", she said, "right", he then looked at Emily and Hotch and said, "A Aaron and ummmmmm, Emily" to which they nodded their heads yes.
Next he pointed to and named Dave, then said, "momma", tears streamed down Fran's face as she said, "that's right baby", he then looked at his sisters and said, "Sarah and Desiree?" to which his sisters quickly said, "right" in unison".
He then looked at the smallest two members of the family as one of them asked, "do you member me?", Derek grinned and said, "of course I do buddy, you are Jack and you are Henry, right?", the two little boys high fived and said, "wight" in unison causing everybody to smile.
His attention then went to Penelope as he said, "and you sweet lady are the woman that has kept me sane since I've been with that crazy woman, you are my beautiful, beautiful wife Penelope", Penelope said, "so true my vision, so true", he winked at her and brought her hand up to his lips and kissed it and said, "I love you".
She said, "and I love you handsome and I love you", Dave said, "alright son, now that you're memories are coming back how about you eat while it's still hot because hopefully when Shannon comes in here she's gonna tell us that your levels are going down and the sooner that happens the sooner we can get out of here and head back home".
Derek sighed happily and nodded his head yes as they then continued eating the delicious breakfast that Fran and the girls had brought back for everybody.
