Extended Summary

A simple twist of fate and life changed forever. A life that wasn't life at all. They have trained for all kinds of disasters but nothing could've prepared them for this. When All Might and All for One died fighting each other, a virus spread across the world, turning the recently deceased into the living dead and going after the living.

It's been a little over half a year since the zombie apocalypse and Kaminari has yet to confess his lover to Jirou. If he wants Jirou to know how much he loves her, he better hurry and tell her before a threat, zombie or otherwise, takes that chance away from him.

Seven months, that's how long it's been since the zombie apocalypse. I still couldn't believe it. It still felt like the apocalypse happened yesterday, even to this day. A little over half a year had already passed.

Time goes by fast when you want to forget how slow it goes.

That's a good way of looking at it. Anyway, so... this is where we were in the apocalypse.

Day 201, 12:03 PM

BARK! BARK! BARK!

The dog backs away from the zombies, continuing to bark at the undead creatures before looking around. Zombies in all directions converge on the dog's position, the undead growls drowning out the dog's growls. The dog whimpers as a dead hand reaches out to try and grab the zombie by the snout but the dog manages to take off. It runs in the opposite direction of the zombies and cuts through an alleyway. With a gate cutting off the dog's exit at the end of the alleyway, the dog climbs onto a dumpster and leaps over the fence. Landing on the other side, the walking zombies hit the fence, grabbing at the metal and growling. Down the alleyway, several zombies fill the exit of the alleyway, each one looking at the dog with growling temptation.

The zombies sprint for the dog. The dog runs past the runners and escapes the alleyway through the very thin opening between the runners and the wall. Back on the street, the dog barks as it runs and leaps onto a taxi. The runners catch up to the taxi seven seconds later but the dog is already leaping off the taxi and onto another taxi. The dog leaps to the ground with finesse and takes off, taking a path along the curb. It runs past several walkers and runners but pays no attention to them.

The dog makes it to the end of the street, where a horde of zombies blocks its path. The zombies reach for the dog, eager to get a bite of this delicious furry dog but the dog doesn't want any of it. It runs off, barking at the zombies once more before running through the open door of a cafe. As the dog looks around, sniffing the air, its ears perk up suddenly.

A car flies into the cafe, crashing through the window and colliding with the back wall, leaving a hole the size of a car (haha) behind. The dog gets out of the way in time and heads near a bookshelf. The dog looks at the wreckage, hanging its tongue out, before looking over at the window and seeing the source of the flying car.

The ten-foot tall beast zombie stands in the middle of the street, his cheeks sunken into his skull, eyes bulging out of its skull. It pulls its lips back, baring its yellow, decaying teeth as a sign of aggression, and looks at the dog with fury. It takes a single step forward, the thunderous footstep seeming like it was vibrating throughout the entire country as the beast zombie backhands a car to the left, knocking some zombies down.

The dog backs away, baring its teeth at the beast.

That's when the dog lets its guard down when the bookshelf behind the dog suddenly topples over. The bookshelf falls over, pinning the dog under it and leaving only the front of the dog's body out. The dog whimpers and makes teary eyes as it looks up.

The culprit behind the bookshelf was a zombie, an ugly zombie missing its index and middle finger on its right hand. A brainiac zombie. The brainiac reaches for its stomach with its left hand to pull out a knife buried in him to the hilt. The brainiac removes the knife and waves it in front of the dog. The brainiac brings the knife to its mouth and licks the blade clean with its saliva.

Walkers and runners run into the cafe, intent on going for the dog when the brainiac holds its right hand up, causing the horde to stop suddenly in their tracks like robots.

The dog whimpers as it sees the brainiac lift the saliva-coated knife high above his head and bring it down on the poor doggy.

UA Dorms

"Girls," Mina Ashido calls out in her bedroom as the girls enter. With all of the girls in her bedroom, they sit down and begin gossiping with the others. "So, guys, I've been noticing a few looks here and there with the boys."

"What do you mean?" Kendo asks.

"I've seen the way Deku looks at Uraraka." Mina looks at Uraraka. "And I've seen the ways that you look at him. We've been doing this song and dance for almost a year now so just give in and tell us that you got the hots for Deku."

Urarka blushes. "I like Deku." She twiddles her fingers together. "I like and admire him. I think it's more about respect than anything. Honestly..."

"Don't be so modest!" Mina yells in her face. "Admit it; you got the hots for the green-haired boy!"

Uraraka looks away. "It's not what you think!'

Kendo smirks. "You're one to talk, Ashido. What about you and Kirishima? I've seen the way you look at him and I couldn't help but notice that you spend more time with him than anyone else. You got something to say about that?"

"I like Kirishima," Mina answers, "and I'm not afraid to admit it." Mina looks over at Shiozaki. "And what about you and Sero? I couldn't help but notice the two of you spend a lot of time together."

Shiozaki simply laughs and looks down. "I like Sero, but it's not in the way you think. Sero is... nice to talk to. He's... such a good listener. And... he understands me."

"I can't believe that there is someone from Class 1A and 1B that like each other."

"What about the Kamisquad?" Kendo points out. "They like each other."

"When I say 'like', I think we all know what I'm referring to. Besides, Kaminari, Jirou, Komori, and Kuroiro are friends, not lovers. But if they had a foursome together..." she smirks deviously, "that would be kinda hot to see."

Kendo groans. "You are just as perverted as Mineta."

"I plead the fifth."

Kaminari's Room

Jirou retracts her jacks. "They're talking about us."

Kaminari, Kuroiro, Komori, and Mineta look at her anxiously. "What are they saying?"

Jirou blushes. "Nothing, just gossiping about boys they have crushes on."

"Ooh, this should be fun," Mineta smiles, "I would be more than happy to play matchmaker with these people."

"Mineta," Kurorio began, "are you thinking something perverted?"

Mineta continues to smile. "Perverted? What do you take me for, Kuroiro? I am simply a boy who believes that we should not let fear and anxiety ruin our love lives. We live in a time and place where any one of us could die at any moment. You only live once and I believe that you should take the girl by the boo-horns. By the horns and show her who's boss."

Kaminari laughs. "Sounds so easy in theory."

"What's wrong, the worst they can do is 'no." He pauses. "And kill you."

Kaminari looks over at Jirou and smirks internally.

I think Mineta has a point. I'm going on a supply run in a few hours and I could die. I should tell her that I love her and that I want to marry her.

"Speaking of being killed, we have to get ready in a few minutes," Kuroiro reminds them as he runs a hand through his short hair.

A few months ago, Kurorio suffered a tragedy when a zombie pulled a piece of his hair off his scalp. As a result, he shaved his hair off. He left only one inch of hair on his scalp but everyone said he looked ridiculous bald. It took him a while to get over his new haircut but since then, he thought it would be better if he maintained his hair. Recently, he got another haircut but this time, had two inches of hair on his scalp.

Kaminari's hair had gotten longer in the past few months and he cut some hair off so he could have the same hair as when he was in school. He was also growing a stubble, which he promptly shaved off.

"Yeah, that's right." Kaminari gets off his bed and heads to his dresser. He grabs two masks out of his drawer and tosses one to Jirou. He pulls on a black mask that covers the bottom half of his face with a yellow diagonal lightning bolt on the front. Jirou has an identical mask with a color matching the color of her hair with a heartbeat line on the front, just like on her hair.

After the others got dressed and put on their jackets, they went outside the room and to the common area.

In the common area, Kaibara and Kodai occupy one of the couches, making out as Monoma looks at them, groaning.

"Haven't you guys ever heard of PDA?" Monoma groans.

The couple ignore him.

Deku and Bakugou come marching into the common area, holding a map. They place it down on the table and point to several locations.

"So?" Kaminari asks. "Where are we going today?"

"We're trying to figure that out ourselves," Deku answers unsurely. "So far, we've visited every town in the last forty kilometers or so."

"And we keep coming back with fewer supplies," Jirou reminds them. "I think the only good news is that as time goes on, the hordes begin to move out of the city."

"That's because they're running out of food in the cities," Komori speaks up, "pretty soon, they'll start traveling in all directions."

"Zombies at the gate are becoming far more common."

Looking out the front windows, they see Kamakiri, Shidhia, and Shoji carrying several zombie bodies on their shoulders and tossing them to the ground. Bondo stands over the zombies, holding a jerry can of gasoline, and pours it on the zombies. Bondo proceeds to light the corpses up and make a bonfire.

"We can't keep lighting up bonfires," Bakugou tells them, "the more bonfires we light, the more likely we are to attract zombies. My idea is that we should take these zombies, drive them somewhere else, and burn them."

"But going outside the walls is dangerous," Kaminari tells them. "Trust me, we have plenty of experience out the walls."

"We'll figure something out." Deku sighs heavily. "We're going to need more supplies but I don't know where to start."

"As much as I hate to think, you may have to go deeper into the city," Bakugou suggests. "The outbreak happened very suddenly and hordes began to fill the cities before anyone could comprehend anything. The deeper we head into the city, the more likely we are to pick up supplies other survivors haven't scavenged."

"But the zombies," Kaminari nearly begs.

"You said the zombies are clearing out, right? If there are less zombies in the city, then it should be easier."

"Even so, there are still likely to be beasts and brainiacs in the horde," Deku tells them, "and they're the most dangerous zombies to come across."

Kaminari scoffs. "You don't have to tell me twice."

"We need to figure something out," Komori tells them. "The mushrooms can only keep us fed for so long."

"We need food, water, and more supplies."

"Did someone mention my name?" Hatsume comes stepping into the common area, holding a backpack in her hands. Three others, Shimamura, Mogami, and Kimura follow Hatsume behind, each carrying their own backpack. "You're not going anywhere without bringing some of my babies along." She reaches into her backpack and pulls out a gun, a gun Kaminari managed to procure at a car dealership.

"Nice gun," Kaminari smiles.

"We figured you'd need something to keep you busy but you should see what these guys managed to make."

Shimamura steps forward and pulls out a pipe with some red wires. "Pipe bomb."

"Holy crap," Kaminari smiles, "just like Left 4 Dead."

"Yep. Just press the red button in the middle of the pipe and toss it. Since these zombies are attracted to sounds, chances are, it'll gather a horde around and that's when it'll go kaboom. I would use this against runners then walker because the pipe bomb goes off after about eight seconds."

"So eight is our lucky number."

"Don't count on a big explosion; these pipe bombs are designed to explode but not cause a big explosion; just big enough to blow the decaying legs off a runner."

"Ahh, so we turn runners into crawlers." Kurorio smiles. "I like that idea."

Kimura steps forward and pulls something out of her backpack. "And this here is a smoke grenade." She hands Kurorio a pipe with blue wires. "It uses fireworks and firecrackers to distract zombies but if I were you, I'd use it on the beasts. Chances are, it should blind beasts temporarily and give you a chance to escape."

"I did more with my gun by the way," Hatsume clarifies before reaching into her backpack once more. "Check this out." She pulls out a magazine clip with nails sticking at the top. "While I was unable to make homemade bullets, I was able to modify the guns only slightly so that they could fire both bullets and nails. The nails must be manually installed into the guns. You can aim for a zombie skull but it may take a few nails to the head before it pierces the brain. I'd recommend shooting the eyes out of zombies and then getting in close for the kill."

"Thank you." Kaminari opens the cylinder and looks up. "I think I'll use the bullets for now."

"That stuff is useless if we don't have a route for them to go," Bakugou points out.

"We should wait," Deku suggests, "that way, we can figure out where to send our supply unit."

Jirou looks at the map and sighs. Spotting a familiar destination, she points to the map. "How about here?"

Deku looks at her. "Are you sure?"

"Think about it; UA was a goldmine of supplies, given that six people were able to survive there without going outside the walls. This school was another hero school so..."

"UA was overrun," Bakugou snaps.

"That wasn't our fault." Kaminari looks awkwardly at Deku.

"Didn't you say this school was already overrun?" Deku asks.

"Yeah, it was overrun but... if there's something in the school that we can use, we have to go there. It's only about twenty kilometers away or so."

"We can be there in an hour if we backtrack," Kaminari adds.

"And what if Katsuya is there?" Komori asks.

"The hunter beast is not there," Kaminari assures them. "Besides, I can handle myself around the hunter beast so, no worries."

"I'd say it's worth a shot," Kuroiro nods.

"Okay," Deku nods, "we'll help you load up for the trip. In the meantime, I'm going to have Koda and Shoji go hunting in the woods. If we find no wood then we're going to need as much help as we can get."

"Okay," Kaminari nods.

A few minutes later, the Kamisquad step outside and the four of them load up into the 4x4 jeep while Kaminari climbs on his black and yellow dirtbike with a lightning bolt spray-painted on the front.

"Be careful out there," Deku urges them.

Kaminari starts up his bike. "We can handle ourselves but thanks." He pulls up his mask. As he takes off, he performs a wheelie with one hand while waving to his classmates. The students quickly close the gates, leaving some of the students stunned inside.

"So awesome," Kendo awes at Kaminari on his bike.

"It still amazes me that Kaminari can ride a dirt bike," Kirishima admits.

"Eh, it's not so bad." Mina gets close to Kirishima. She rests her head on his shoulder.

Isamu Academy

1:23 PM

Arriving at Isamu Academy about fifty minutes later, Kaminari parks his bike near a tree while Kuroiro parks the jeep behind the bike. They quickly reach over and pull some shrubs over the vehicles to offer them some level of camouflage.

Kaminari steps through the front of the school and keeps an eye out. He looks around, pulls out a knife, and scans the environment.

"It looks empty," Kaminari groans, "very empty."

"You can say that again," Kurorio whispers.

"It feels weird being back." Jirou jams her jacks into the ground. "I can't hear anything, not even in the school. It should be good."

The five of them carefully stepped to the front door and found that the door was barred from the inside.

"I got it." Kuroiro kicks the door open, sending the door and the chair behind it sliding forward. "Open sesame."

Opting not to split up, they move through the hallways, walking over dead bodies that Kaminari stabs in the head to make sure they're dead. Kaminari meets up with Jirou at the door to the teacher's lounge on the second floor.

Jirou uses her jacks once more. "Okay, there's nobody inside."

"Nobody alive inside," Kurorio whispers, making Jirou nod.

Opening the teacher's lounge door, Kaminari steps through and looks around. The creaking of the door makes Kaminari nearly leap out of his skin before he remembers that he's not a cartoon character. Looking around, he finds a fridge in the corner and a granite kitchen table on the other side with a cabinet. Kaminari heads for the cabinet after Kuroiro does a quick search and pulls the door open.

Opening the cabinet, his eyes land on a blue container on the top shelf.

Gasping loudly, Kaminari's eyes widen as he pulls down his mask, revealing a smile reaching ear-to-ear. "Frosting." He pulls the container out and rips the cap off. He uses his index finger to scoop up some roster and put it in his mouth.

"Ahh," Kaminari blushes with a warm feeling in his chest, "it's been so long since I had candy."

Mineta and Kurorio rush over and quickly dig into the frosting, clawing and dipping into the container with ravenous hunger as they finally get a taste of something sweet for a change. Sure, it was good to have something nutritional but sometimes, it's just nice to indulge.

"It tastes like heaven," Mineta lisps.

"A shining light in the dark world in the form of cake frosting," Kurorio sighs.

Jirou and Komori stay near the door and watch with disgust.

"How repulsive," Komori groans.

"Men will be men," Jirou sighs. "But hey, at least they're having fun. Come on, let's look around."

CREAK!

The survivors quickly turn to the door, knives ready, and look in shock at the two figures standing before them.

Survivors.

Survivors wearing masks, sure, but survivors, nevertheless.

"Holy shit," the tall survivor with a simple blue face mask curses. "Living people." He turns to his companion. "Living people!"

"I see," the short, bald survivor with a piece of red cloth covering his face nods, "I'm not blind, dumbass."

"Sorry."

The Kamisquad stands to their feet, holding their knives at a ready position, prepared for anything.

"Who the hell are you guys?" Kaminari asks.

"Who are we?" Blue Mask asks. "We're the ones who live in this school."

"Isamu Academy students," Kurorio realizes.

Blue Mask narrows his eyes. "I recognize you. You go to UA. Denki Kaminari, Shihai Kuroiro, Minoru Mineta, Kyouka Jirou, and Kinoko Komori."

Jirou feels her shoulders stiffen. "And who are you?"

"The name's Ratchet. And this ugly guy with the cloth is Textile."

"Ratchet and Textile?" Kuroiro repeats. "I know your parents knew better than to curse you with such ugly names."

"You don't need to know our real names," Ratchet argues.

"But you're allowed to know ours?"

"Not my fault you got caught with your pants down around your ankles," Textile argues. "What are you doing here, UA? How the hell did you get in?"

"We walked in," Jirou answered, "you need better security."

"Oh, we don't live here. We come here to hide our food and supplies," Ratchet clarifies. "We came back for the frosting bu... you guys are already devouring your way to the frosting."

"Sorry, we couldn't help ourselves," Mineta apologizes.

"I understand," Ratchet nods. He heads over to the table and pulls out a bottle of liquor from the cabinet. He pours himself and Textile a glass of wine. "You guys want some?"

"We're not old enough to drink," Komori answers.

"You're never too old for anything." Ratchet sits down while Textile stands near the door, downing the wine before pulling his mask down.

"We're sorry about stealing your stash," Jirou apologizes, "we were just coming here to look for food and supplies."

"What, UA doesn't have enough items to keep you cozy and comfy?" Ratchet looks at Jirou's chest before meeting her eyes once more. "Didn't learn the concept of rationing or something?"

"We have a big group," Kuroiro says, stepping forward. "A bigger group means bigger resources."

"How big of a group?"

"A very big group," Kurorio answers simply.

"Any hotties there?" Textile asks.

"Are we not hot?" Jirou wonders aloud.

"You're too flat as a board for me, honey. And the other one is too short for my taste."

Mineta flinches. "What?"

"Shut up, man," Ratchet orders, "we're just here to get our stuff and be gone." Ratchet stands up, making the UA students flinch. "Ahh, come on, quit acting so jumpy all of a sudden. You came here for supplies, and so did we. We'll just grab what we want and we'll be on our way." Ratchet turns to the cabinet near the fridge and pulls out several canned foods. He stuffs them in his backpack.

"Wait," Komori steps forward, "how much food is that."

"Six cans of pasta," Ratchet answers. "Why?"

"Are you willing to trade? I have a quirk that allows me to make mushrooms."

"I know, but I don't advise using your quirk." Ratchet looks at them with a gleeful expression in his eyes. "Don't you know that quirk usage attracts zombies?"

The UA students look at each other. "What?" they ask simultaneously.

"Yeah, using your quirk attracts zombies," Textile answers, "you're better off fighting zombies with a knife rather than your quirk."

"This doesn't make sense," Mineta says, "how can quirk usage attract zombies?"

"I don't know; it just does." Ratchet packs the cans in his backpack before standing up. "Are you guys still willing to trade with us?"

"We're really hungry and we're willing to give you something in exchange for food," Kaminari says, "please help us out."

"I don't know man. I don't think you can help me out." Ratchet eyes Jirou. "But I think you can."

Jirou cringes. "What do you mean?"

"It's been so long since I've seen another woman, let alone touch her."

Jirou takes a step back. "What are you saying?"

"You may not have very... ample tits but in a world like this, beggars can't be choosers."

"What the fuck are you talking about? I am not a fucking whore!" Jirou snaps, blushing and putting her forearms over her chest subconsciously.

"I knew it." Ratchet chuckles. "You're not doing poorly; you're doing well."

"What do you mean?"

"All the bitches that traded with us in the past, they were willing to give every piece of their bodies to us in exchange for food and supplies. You guys are refusing, which means you're not desperate enough. Not being desperate enough means you're well-stocked on food."

Ratchet looks at Textile and nods.

Textile nods and returns the gleeful look.

Kaminari takes a step back, flinching as his hand travels to the back of his pants, where the revolver is.

"If you guys went to UA, you have enough to share. Any chance you can take me and my group in with you?"

Kaminari grips the handle of the revolver.

"We can't do that," Jirou pants. "we can barely take care of ourselves."

"I think you need to stay back," Kurorio warns as Komori hides behind him. "You don't want to mess with us."

"We've took on some legit villains," Mineta tells him.

"So have we," Textile replies. "It's been seven months; how do you think we survived for so long?"

Ratchet laughs. "I thought you UA students were heroes. How sad. Even in the darkest hours, you're just a couple of selfish human beings."

"We want to save you but we can barely protect ourselves," Jirou argues.

"I thought heroes were supposed to be selfless but you're not; you're the opposite."

"The only hero in this world is All Might," Textile says.

"I'm just glad I got I had the privilege of getting to meet the symbol of peace before he met his end." He reaches into his pocket.

"Take your hands out of your pocket!" Kuroiro barks.

"Or what?" Ratchet digs around in his pocket. "You going to arrest me?"

Textile reaches into her inner jacket pocket.

"Take your hands out of your pockets!" Jirou orders, raising her jacks.

Ratchet scoffs. "You're in no position to be giving us orders, honey."

BANG!

Ratchet falls to the ground with a hole in his forehead. A split second later-

BANG! BANG!

Textile falls to the ground with two bullet wounds, one in his throat and the other in his chest.

"Aah," Jirou yells and covers her ear. Turning around, she sees Kaminari holding the revolver with smoke coming off the barrel, a horrified look on his face.

"Kaminari?" Jirou winces, reaching out to grab hold of something until she regains her balance.

"What have you done?" Kuroiro asks with a blank tone.

"They put their hands in their pockets," Kaminari answers.
