Thank you for the help of Xello in the comments, I realized I do notify on whose POV it is when I do my left-out-of-the-field stuff so I'm gonna try to remember that for the future! My ADHD may decide that it has other plans but I'm gonna try and see what I can do with my little brain cell I got lol
But we're backed to the normally broadcasted programming here so back to Vaggie's and Charlie's alternating viewpoints! Let's go, friends! Back to Vaggie :3
With the move up of the next Extermination Day, Charlie and I agreed that we needed to gather all our allies that we've made over our time here in Hell together and make a stable plan in case all things go to shit.
I walked up to the rememberable compound without a hint of hesitation before looking up toward the camera I knew was watching the front door and gave a small gave.
After all, Heaven wouldn't think that there could be heavy relationships here in Hell. Why not prove them wrong in more ways than one?
The doors opened quickly, allowing me access to the main entry of Carmilla's mansion compound. I walked in without any hesitation as I had been in Carmilla's halls more than a few times in my years in Hell and grew accustomed to her and her little slice of Pentagram City. Speaking of which, said woman greeted me with a large smile from the top of her stairs with wide open arms.
"Ah! My little ángel." I smiled wide as I nodded toward the taller woman who walked pridefully down her massive red staircase with her metal heels. "How is my favorite adopted daughter?"
"You never formally adopted me, Carmilla." I gave her a smirk as she shrugged.
"Never changed a thing in my mind, little one." She walked toward me and placed a hand on my head to ruffle my hair a little. "How's the girlfriend?"
"Wonderful and stretched thin as always." I chuckled to myself as I placed my hands behind my back. "You know, Charlie like."
"Ah she never changed a bit, that's for certain." She moved her hand toward my back and guided me up the stairs with her. "Come, come. What do I owe the honor for your presence here today?"
"Well, I can gladly say that you're the first Overlord to be trusted with this information, Carmilla, but there is a major development with Heaven and we need some outside assistance in case shit goes south." The Overlord gave me a puzzled look to her face as we stopped at the top of the stairs before opening the large metal doors that stored away her office space on the main floor.
"Well that certainly doesn't sound good, pequeña querida." She moved away from me and toward her desk before sitting down behind it with such grace and ease in her large heels that it would make people's heads spin in the human world. "Let's talk then." The door shut with a loud bang behind me but I didn't flinch a muscle as I moved to sit across from her.
"I'll begin with the fact that Charlie, Lucifer, and I had a meeting with Adam the other day to speak about the next Extermination Day as well as a few other concepts with the hotel." Carmilla already looked as if she was going to break someone as she put her hands firmly down on top of her desk with a stern look in her gaze.
"That wasteful excuse for an angel? Heaven let him be their ambassador for that conversation?"
"Trust me, all of us were thinking the same thing. But the important part of it is what information was presented to us from him." Carmine relaxed her form a little before quirking a brow.
"And what is that?" I took a deep breath as I knew the next set of words coming from my mouth would make the Overlord go into a blinded fury.
"The next Extermination was moved up. It's six months from now instead of a year." I heard a snap come from the desk that Carmine had her hands on which caused me to look down and realize the woman had gripped the ledge of it so hard in the middle that it split the top wood piece in half.
"They're doing what?" I nodded my head in agreeance with her anger as she took her hands off her desk and leaned back in her chair. I would have been in awe of how the desk was still standing in place, but there were more important matters to be worried about in this situation. "Mierda."
"I know. It's a shit situation all together."
"How did you take the conversation though, querida?" I shrugged before looking down at my hands that were bunched together in my lap.
"It was shitty seeing them again, I won't lie. For a moment I swore I was back in that alley with them when I first laid my eyes on Adam. It felt like I was right back where it started and it made my back ache with every word that he spoke." I moved my shoulders slightly as I imagined the unnerving feeling that spread across my faded scars as I stood in that conference room. "Charlie kept me grounded though and having Lucifer there was a blessing too. It kept the full attention away from me and on the subject at hand. Though Adam did make some comments on Charlie and me."
"I bet he did. If there is anything I heard from Lucifer is that the man is a pig." She scruffed at the idea as she crossed her arms over her chest. "But where do I take part in this equation? I know that you wouldn't be here if it wasn't more than just a message from Heaven."
"We think Heaven is going to take this chance to ruin the hotel," I spoke firmly as I laid out our hypothesis. "Charlie and I both think that Heaven wants nothing more than to take away the chance we have to fix the overpopulation issue and are afraid of what it would mean to their love of balance if we succeed. We're worried about what they might do if they deem our project a threat."
"So you need protection." I nodded as Carmilla connected the dots on her own. "Need just the weapons or do you need the men to back them as well?"
"All the sinners we've gathered at the hotel have a history of fighting in their living days so we're good on that front. Charlie is also recruiting more people as we speak through the help of Rosie."
"Oh, there is nothing more fierce than a cannable scorned." Carmilla smiled wide at the idea before rising from her chair. "Well, you can count on me and my girls to bring as much as we can to your shelter. After the last Extermination, you know I will never hesitate to protect my own."
"You know, when I heard that an angel was killed, I had a bit of a panic attack at the idea of who might have caused it until I realized that you're the only one in Hell who could pull it off." I smiled wide at the taller woman before standing up from my chair myself. "And the fact that I wouldn't have to worry about you slaughtering me either." This caused a small chuckle to come out of the Overlord as she walked around her desk to put her hand back on the top of my head.
"You're one of my girls, mi polilla. I help and protect my family with all I got."
"Para la familia." I smiled up at the woman before putting a hand over my heart. It was a saying that I learned quickly mattered a lot to the Carmine family and all those who worked under the Overlord in question. It was a swear of protection to those you cared about and a promise to those that mattered. It was what made Carmilla unique in comparison to some of the other Overlords of Hell. Those tied to her had a true purpose for their work.
"Para la familia." She smiled at me before placing her hand back on my back and guiding me to a different room. "But now how about we talk other things? I know you'll need some training since you may be a little rusty in your fighting style."
"I can fight pretty damn well, you know." I crossed my arms over my chest as Carmilla just laughed teasingly toward me.
"Oh my little one, you've got spirit. That's for sure, but let's be honest here."
"You saying I suck at fighting? I've kept a good bit of sinners from fucking with Charlie over the years." I smirked at her as she moved to ruffle my hair once more.
"And you fight as if you can never die, but we know the truth in that matter now." My smirk disappeared from my face just as fast as it had appeared. "So why don't I teach you a few things?" It was Carmilla's turn to smirk as I couldn't help but smile in reply.
"For the family, after all."
"That's my girl."

querida - darling
Mierda - shit
mi polilla - my moth
