Rebuild SKL is Kaiser
ESKK: Now we enter chapter 7 so let's get things started.
(Start Akira dreamscape location unknown)
Akira found himself in what looked to be a crystal cavern of some kind. Walking through Akira glared at the varying reflections around him all of which displayed himself shirtless and most likely bare of clothing. As he continued through the chamber Akira glared at the images around him noting that this was a dream.
Eventually Akira arrived at a large chamber with a bright light radiating from the massive crystal formation before him. As the light dimmed Akira saw a familiar figure inside the crystal making him go wide eyed to this. Following it up was a trio of children laughing as he got closer to the crystal.
"Miki." Akira said to the girl named Miki. But then the laughter changed and from it screams of terror were heard and from it the crystal broke apart and a massive hand came forth grabbing Miki. "Miki!" Akira roared and thus he felt Kaiser rise behind him. "Let her go you BASTARDS!" Akira roared and in turn awoke to the world.
(The Waking World Wundur Akira)
Akira shot out of bed from his personal quarters on the Wundur the sheets came off of him as he stood up. Akira also had his fist raised as he recalled the dream again.
"Having those dreams again?" Kuzo asked as he looked to Akira. Akira glared at Kuzo and growled opting not to respond to him. "Just knowing the fact we're going to be hitting the Slum King soon must be really getting your engines running." Kuzo said knowing who the Slum Kings pets were currently. "After all that's where THEY are right?" Kuzo said and thus Akira had a knife pointed at Kuzo's neck who in response had a gun pointed at Akira's midsection.
"Shut your damn mouth." Akira said not wanting to be reminded of that incident.
"Just saying this is your chance to get them back don't screw it up." Kuzo said knowing that Akira won't get another opportunity like this. Akira scoffed and sheathed the knife as he began to get ready for the day. Kuzo did the same holstering his gun as he knew for Akira this was personal.
"Don't get in my way." Akira responded at the door and thus Kuzo smirked to this.
(Meanwhile with the Slum King)
The cruel excuse of a human being was looking out the window to his domain bellow and to the distance. His domain even from here he could still hear people screaming in agony from varying parts of his fortress. Some of the less fortunate were bisected by chainsaws, others were forced into killing their lovers, and his men got to have their way with any that tickle their fancy man, woman, and even children. The Slum Kings cruelty as a human being knew no limits hence why he had two humans as his pets. They brought him pleasures when he desired it and were a show of his own power.
At the moment Gendo Ikari was contacting him as he glared at the man in question. "Ikari Kiba and Death Star are both dead." Slum King said as Gendo knew of this.
"I know a change in our prior agreement has been made, kill Kaiser and their domains and resources will be added to yours." Gendo Said making it clear what he wanted.
"I wont have to go look for them… they will come to me." Slum King said with a grave growl deep in his voice.
"How are you so certain?" Gendo asked as he looked to the man.
"They did the same to Kiba and Death Star they will do the same here." Slum King said as he had his forces begin to prepare themselves for battle. "I also have reason to believe that something they desire is nearby." Slum King said as his scouts had found this facility a while back while looking for any runaways. None escape the Slum Kings domain the moment you enter you belonged to him. Anyway, the facility would not open and thus his scouts were forced to leave it behind at the time. "I will send some of my forces once I have confirmation meet them there." Slum King said and thus Gendo glared but obliged him for now.
"Very well if WILLE goes there then I have reason to send my EVAs there." Gendo said and thus he ended the call.
"This is utopia where men fight to their hearts content returning to their true forms." Slum King mused as he looked to the chaos down bellow and saw only beauty in humanities true form from his world view. "Truly a place that would spread my ambition to every corner of the globe." Slum King said all the while the girl cowered from the mad man who had done this to her and her friend.
'Akira-kun…' The girl bemoaned in despair as she awaited for the rescue that Akira had promised many years ago. Meanwhile her blond-haired friend simply glared at Slum King as he saw Slum King for what he was just like every other human being a failed project to be removed. They had both seen the worst of mankind and he was ready for Fourth Impact to clear the slate clean. Slum King will die as will every single human being on this miserable broken world.
(Scene Break the Wundur meeting)
Misato and Ritsuko once more stood in the war room with the table filled by those who need to be here. "Alright we can begin." Misato said as she saw everyone was here. On one side of the table was Akira, Kuzo, Eve, Jun, Hurricane, Flash, and Misty and on the other was Mari, Asuka, Hideki, Midori, Maya, Sakura, Makoto, and Shigeru. "Dr. Uzuki has some things to share." Misato said and thus Jun stood up.
"Ok before we can make a hit on the Slum King we need some new gear, after the first to battle he might be waiting for us." Jun began as the images of the Slum King was on display.
"Well, we did hit his fellow warlords and let the UN secure the locations." Asuka said making it clear they were on the roll.
"Yes, but beyond that he'll no doubt learn and adapt." Jun said and then got to the next bit which displayed a lockdown abandoned facility. "This used to be one of the facilities that I had used while I worked on Kaiser's construction not the main one where Eve originally discovered Kaiser and Wingle but an auxiliary one where I stored weapons and equipment." Jun said and thus Midori cut in.
"So, more ammunition why should, we waste our valuable time there?" Midori asked and thus Jun continued to speak.
"Because alongside Kaiser I was working on an EVA Unit that I never managed to complete." Jun explained which surprised the gathered people in this meeting.
"Wait you worked on an EVA and its just been sitting around?!" Midori accused but then Jun waved er off.
"Don't worry its incomplete so practically useless unless someone with the knowledge and the attention span completes it." Jun said not even giving Midori the benefit of a defense.
"Are you mocking me?" Midori asked and in turn Misato cut in.
"Midori sit down." Misato ordered and thus Midori did so while glaring at Jun.
"I can open up the place, it was designed to be self-sustaining and to recycle unused power." Jun said and then got to the next bit on the EVA. The images showed that it was in fact incomplete bits of armor were still missing and even the Entry Plug slot was still in need of putting together.
"Doesn't even have a number yet that's how behind I am on it." Jun said as Misato then looked to Ritsuko.
"Think we can complete it?" Misato asked and thus Ritsuko thought it over.
"I should if Dr. Uzuki still has the notes on this EVA Unit." Ritsuko said looking over to Jun.
"Meh their probably stored somewhere." Jun said with a bored tone while sitting on her seat. "But it's the next item that should be noted." Juns aid and thus the group saw what awaited them. It was a massive motorcycle that seemed to double as a skeletal Pegasus with tusks that was big enough for Kaiser to ride on.
"Ok color me impressed." Akira said as he saw the massive metal ride.
"Nice." Kuzo added as he wanted it.
"Kaiser wheels and by your reactions its most impressive." Jun said with a savage grin on her face at the vehicle. "I call it the SKL-RR." Jun revealed as Akira was almost salivating at the sight.
"But there is one concern." Eve and thus from her console switched the view of the map to an overhead view. "Our target is located here within range of Slum Kings fortress." Eve said showing their target may as well be on the doorstep. "If he makes use of long-range scanners or deploys a scout team then we may not be able to make off with any of our intended prizes." Eve said and this had gotten everyone on edge for good reason as well.
But then Akira raised his hand getting the meetings attention focused. "Leave that one to us." Akira said putting himself, Kuzo, and Kaiser on this. "We'll keep Slum Kings mooks off you guys long enough to get in and get out." Akira said as he then smirked to this. "And who knows while we're there… we might even take out Slum King for you idiots." Akira taunted and thus Ritsuko glared at him.
"Why you arrogant little shit." Midori began with a snarl in her voice only to be cut off suddenly by Akira again.
"But there is one thing we're going to need here." Akira said as now Misato was curious as to what Akira and Kuzo would need. The pair hardly if ever ask for anything so the mere fact they are asking now must be of some importance to the two pilots.
"Very well what do you need?" Misato asked willing to hear out what Akira wanted.
"We need an extraction unit." Akira said which got Misato's attention on this wondering why Akira even wanted that.
"What so you can snuff them for collateral damage?" Midori accused glaring at Akira but then Asuka cut in on this.
"Dammit Midori just shut the hell up." Asuka snapped glaring at Midori who was surprised by this. Now that Asuka knew she was not a clone she had to re-evaluate a lot of things about herself. Asuka still intended to kill Misato and Ritsuko but only after Gendo was dead.
Akira growled before he opened up the Slum Kings image where he had his two, 'pets,' on chain leashes. The image was still disturbing to many in the meeting as Hurricane glared at the man in his corrupted samurai armor. "I need a team to help me pull those two out of the hellscape." Akira said surprising everyone in the room with his request.
Misato was shocked but in a good way as Akira was showing he was not a complete psychopath who loves fighting. But… maybe a small test was in order just to see how genuine Akira was.
"Akira while I do commend your forwardness in this, I can't simply detach a small unit just for two people." Misato said as Asuka glared at Misato for those words.
"Assuming you can be taken at your word." Asuka said showing her trust in Misato was gone after the revelation.
Akira should have expected this, but he was not one to give up. After all he made a promise and he intended to keep it. So, Akira decided to play one card he had that he knew would get WILLE to grant the swordsman's request. "Even if one of them is a possible EVA Pilot?" Akira offered which got the meetings attention on her.
"Your joking." Ritsuko said as she heard this.
"How do you know this?" Maya asked suspicious of Akira's knowledge of this.
"Me and those two have a history." Akira said in a tone showing he did not want to talk about it. "She confided it into me, and I kept it hidden." Akira added but then looked to anyone wanting to argue with him on this.
"He could be lying." Midori said as she had been against the pilots for Kaiser and Wingle since day one.
"Then test her yourself after she's rescued." Akira said showing he was taking this path. "What do you got to lose?" Akira asked which caused Midori to glare spitefully at the Skull pilot.
Meanwhile Misato seemed to be thinking on it. On one hand this means Akira is providing a valuable resource to WILLE but at the same time there was no telling what sort of mental situation this girl and her friend were in. On the other hand, Akira might be lying to save her and while he basically lied to use valuable resources to save one person it would put Akira in a new light to some people. More so than that it was their job to save humanity after all and… she needed to be better also.
"Very well I'll approve your request." Misato said causing Midori to look shocked by this new bit of information here. But then Midori glared at Akira wanting to see him dead as soon as possible.
"With this in mind this spot here would be an excellent location to split off." Eve said circling one area of the map between Jun's facility and Slum Kings fortress. "The Wundur Flies in, drops them off and moves on to the facility." Eve said and thus Misato saw the logic in this.
"Then that's what we shall do." Misato said and thus everyone bar Midori agreed on the plan here.
"Do you even have a plan for your little extraction?" Midori asked glaring at Akira.
"Actually, we do." Kuzo said before giving his own display of the plan. "Akira and I will distract Slum King and the enemy units in Skull Pilder." Kuzo said as looked to Eve who then switched the images via a few commands to show a simulation of Kuzo's plan. "Slum King won't resist a fight so while he's distracted the extraction team will go in and retrieve his two prisoners." Kuzo said and in turn showed holographic VTOL's flying in and retrieving the pair of pets. "Once the extraction team gets them, they need to keep going." Kuzo said showing the VTOL's leaving the area while a robot and Kaiser appeared. "Do not stop for us do not wait for us get the VIP's and get the fuck out." Kuzo said showing that if the team stays then they'll suffer the gruesome fate of everyone who has crosses the Slum King.
"But you'll be left behind." Sakura said as she looked to Akira and Kuzo.
"Hey, don't worry about us." Akira said showing he was not afraid. "Killing that guy will be my absolute pleasure." Akira said with a sadistic smile etched on to his face.
"Very well then if no one has any objections." Misato began before pausing to see if anyone had an objection to Akira's plan. "Then I will conclude the meeting so I would suggest you all prepare." Misato said as she needed to gather the extraction team that would accompany Kaiser. With that everyone began to leave but Misato had one more thing to say… in private. "Except for you Akira." Misato said as this caused Akira to stop for a moment. "I'd like a word." Misato said and thus Akira knew he had to stay put for this woman's discussion. Normally Akira would have blown her off but since he made the request and she approved it he owed her.
(Later outside the meeting room)
As everyone left Asuka had opted to lean against the wall as she waited for her target. Asuka knew that Midori was starting to get out of hand and needed to be brought to heel. Asuka won't lie and deny her part in how Midori was acting ever since Kaiser joined up… no more like she had been like this ever since she joined up with WILLE after Third Impact.
Soon Asuka saw Midori and in turn she grabbed the girl and pinned her to the wall causing her to yelp. "Hey what's the." Midori began only to find Asuka glaring directly at the Pinkett.
"Shut your damn mouth." Asuka snarled as she glared at the shocked Midori she pinned. "I talk you listen understand?" Asuka said but then continued to speak without waiting for a response from the girl. "I get you got beef with him and Shinji but can it because news flash Midori, so does everyone else here but unlike you they can be professionals and put it aside." Asuka said making her contempt for Midori's actions thus far clear.
Midori however would not stand there and take this lecture without a fight even if it's from Asuka. 'What's going on here?' Midori's mind spoke as she tried to figure out why Asuka was against her the one who gave her a target to aim her rage. "Major how can you just stand there and not feel any sort of fury against any of them!" Midori yelled as she glared at Asuka. "He wears his face has his blood every day we look at him how can you not feel all that rage filling you up!" Midori yelled her own rage taking over now. "How can you sit there and not think about what that idiot did to destroy the world, if Shinji Ikari ever leaves the Gate of Guff, I will kill him first chance I get!" Midori yelled and thus Asuka did something out of the blue. She slapped Midori so hard the pink haired girl fell to the ground with a stinging red check.
Asuka glared down at Midori with a cold glare upon the girl with something Midori did not recognize from Asuka. Midori could still remember the words Asuka had told to her over 14 years ago when she was struggling to survive in the Post Third Impact world.
"You said there's no reason for this to happen. But there is. An idiot caused all of this. If you want to hit him, fight on. Fight and live."
Those words touched Midori deeply. On that day, in that moment she understood that her life would never be the same again. That is why she trained so hard every day. Each day could be her last, and she vowed to herself to live driven by a single feeling that could be described in several words: justice, revenge, determination, hatred.
And it was for this reason alone she could not understand why Asuka had slapped her and was taking Akira's and by extension Shinji's side. Nothing was the same since Kaiser and Wingle had joined up with WILLE. Just like on the day when Infinity Failure's red blood had touched her brown hair, permanently turning her hair into this unnatural pinkish color
She wanted to be there when WILLE went to retrieve Shinji Ikari and Unit-01 so she can see Captain Shikinami personally deliver the death penalty for that genocidal. But that did not happen the container was empty with only a replacement core that got the Wundur operational. On that day when the red blood of Infinity Failure that had touched her brown hair that day, permanently marking her, Midori became the person she is today.
The representation of feelings and the constant struggle between two people. Asuka Langley Shikinami, the person who saved her that day and who has been fighting to save the world ever since. Shinji Ikari, the idiot who cursed her life and the entire planet. Father and mother, good and evil. Right and wrong.
In other circumstances, in some other universe, perhaps Shinji and Asuka could have impacted themselves the people around them in ways. They could have even had biological or non-biological children. Children of Love.
But that was not the case for her. She was the child of hatred. The one who will never forgive Shinji Ikari's sins and failures. And Captain Shikinami is the same as her. She will certainly have no mercy. Or at least that what she had thought but now everything had changed. Akira the psychotic offspring of that genocidal idiot was the source, Kuzo was the source, Eve was the source, and most of all that skull mech was the source.
She still had the scar from where Akira had stabbed her when she tried to take justice into her own hands. The hand still shakes up whenever she thinks about it suggesting that Akira may have given her some sort of nerve damage that day.
Ever since Kaiser and Wingle joined the Captain had been acting in a completely strange and disturbing way. The changes were small at first, but they piled up with each successful mission thanks to Kaiser. The Angel while unexpected was where the changes came together and now, she's treating WILLE like they're the enemy… no she's treating anyone with prior NERV affiliations like the enemy.
The last two incidents with Unit-01 were also where the changes came with leaps. Twice already twice did Unit-01 appear when Asuka was in danger. Evangelion Unit 01 awoke from its slumber and instead of trying to destroy the world, attacked the enemies of WILLE, with a fury and types of attacks never seen before.
Also, the Captain's reaction when she saw that that idiot really did something was... No. Midori didn't want to think about that possibility. Justice will be served. She so desperately wanted that to be the case, but the look Asuka gave her was not giving her any confidence.
After all, Asuka Langley Shikinami has kept herself alive and fighting all this time driven by the hatred she harbors towards Shinji Ikari. There can be no other feeling or motive in the Captain's heart.
"You were lied to… I was lied to." Asuka suddenly said getting Midori's attention back on her. "The idiot is just a scapegoat for the actions of others." Asuka said as she glared down at Midori.
Looking at Asuka Midori saw it in her good eye the truth of Asuka's words. The feelings motivated Asuka during all this time wasn't hatred towards Shinji Ikari. But other kinds of feelings. In turn Midori could only respond with one word to her commanding officer.
"Disgusting." Midori said perhaps to spite her or perhaps to spite Shinji she was not sure. It felt like the world was turning against her saying her feelings were wrong and needed to change. No everyone else was wrong Shinji will pay even if she has to do the deed herself. Asuka simply walked off ignoring Midori like she was just some rabbit hopping by. Midori glared at Asuka and saw that even she had betrayed the girl as well.
(Meanwhile inside the meeting room)
"So, what did you want to talk about?" Akira asked as he leaned on his chair glaring at Misato. Ritsuko had left the room as well as Misato wanted this conversation to be completely private.
"Its about the two you wanted to get retrieved." Misato said as she looked towards Akira trying to decipher him. "Is the girl really an EVA Pilot candidate?" Misato asked wanting the truth from Akira.
"I already told you guys." Akira began but Misato cut him off.
"The entire meeting is private bar Ritsuko no one will hear about this." Misato said as Akira raised a brow at the woman.
"What you trying to be my friend now?" Akira asked almost accusingly as he found this out of character from Misato with his limited interactions with the commander of WILLE.
"No Akira you don't make requests like that in fact you hardly made any requests." Misato said as she wanted the truth from Akira.
"And its none of your business what my actual intentions are, all I'll say is that the Slum King and I have a score to settle." Akira said as he was clearly deflecting from Misato. "And I'm just trying to give WILLE a hand with another EVA pilot that's it." Akira said and thus Misato sighed to this. "Anything else or can I go?" Akira asked and thus Misato knew she had to let Akira go.
"You may go." Misato said and thus Akira left the room allowing for Ritsuko to enter right after Akira left. "Well?" Misato asked once she was sure Akira was out of hearing range.
"He's lying." Ritsuko said as she knew what this was. "Akira and those two seem to share a history a personal history in fact." Ritsuko said which Misato nodded to this.
"I suspected as much." Misato said knowing that Akira was trying to save someone. "Seems the big bad psycho has a heart after all." Misato mused knowing that if this had been earlier, she could have used this information against Akira.
"We could use this get him and his cohorts under control." Ritsuko said seeing the advantage of this, but Misato just glared at her for it.
"No." Misato said which got Ritsuko to glare back at Misato. "That can easily bite us in the ass and as we've already seen from Asuka, we can't make that risk." Misato said using logic to try and keep that girl save from Ritsuko. "We're both already slanted to die at this point might as well hold it off for as long as possible." Misato added as Ritsuko knew Misato was right. Akira would not hesitate like Asuka would but when Asuka gets her hands on them the redheaded pilot hesitate a second time.
"So, you're just going to accept she plans to kill us, Misato?" Ritsuko asked as she looked to Misato.
"Yes… we lied to her for her entire life… we deserve nothing less." Misato said resigning herself to what would happen. Ritsuko gritted her teeth when she heard this as she tried to figure out what was wrong with Misato. They did what needed to be done and thanks to it they had the best pilot working under WILLE's command. But now the weapon has broken its chains, discovered the truth, and has vowed to use the strength NERV and WILLE gave it to strike back.
"You're going soft." Ritsuko said and thus Misato smiled sadly to Ritsuko.
"That's your problem you have tunnel vision and treat the pilots like tools." Misato said sadly to her friend. "And I let you drag me down with my obsession with revenge." Misato said and thus she left the room leaving Ritsuko there alone.
The doctor stood there shocked at Misato's words to her. Why was this happening why was Misato changing the course? They needed every tool at their disposal and if the children could provide an edge over their enemy so be it. The soul was nothing when faced with the extinction of the human race and Misato was choosing to cleanse her soul over doing what was needed to save humanity.
Ritsuko gained a dark glare and was all but ready to shoot down Misato and take over… but she could not do it. She wasn't Misato who could come up with plans that would work. If Misato wanted to let Asuka kill her to repent fine, but Ritsuko was not a coward she will not sacrifice her life for a petty little girls temper tantrum.
(Scene Break Hidden Research Facility)
After half a day of travel the Wundur had arrived at their destination and sending out VTOLS Jun would open the air landing zone. So, while there Jun found the console and was putting the commands in to open the place up.
"So, you sure the equipment is still good?" Sakura asked as the place had been idle for over 27 years chances are some things may have gone bad.
"About 90 Percent certain." Jun responded as she was typing away on the console. She then hit the console and thus it activated causing a massive set of double doors began to open from bellow. Thankfully, none of the VTOLS had landed there and from it a platform rose up to allow the VTOLS to land. "Well make yourselves at home." She said with a smile on her face.
"R-right." Sakura said and in turn WILLE crews were moving in.
(On the Wundur's command deck)
Misato glared at the scene before her as she got word on what was going on. "The advance team has entered the facility." Shigeru reported from his station.
"Good have teams move in to secure the incomplete EVA and SKL-RR once they've located it." Misato ordered as she oversaw the salvage operation.
"Yes ma'am." Shigeru responded and in turn returned to his work. Misato then let loose a tired sigh as she observed the operation. It was going to take a while to get everything but so long as the SKL team manages their part they should be left undisturbed.
(Later in the Research Facility)
Jun was leading the crews through the reactivated labs as Ritsuko was also with her. Going through the facility it seemed to run similar to a standard NERV facility when housing an EVA even one still in development.
"Ok if memory serves the EVA should be through these doors." Jun said while entering a large room. When she entered the lights came on and inside it, they found what they were looking for.
The incomplete EVA most of its helmet was still being fitted but had been stopped because Jun could not be bothered with it. A few agents cried out in shock when they saw it as they did not expect the EVA there.
"Alright lets get to work we need to transport it and the equipment for it to the Wundur." Ritsuko said and thus Jun nodded.
"Alright have fun I need to get to the SKL-RR storage unit." Jun said as she walked off. "Boys lets go." She added and thus she led her team through.
"Commander." Ritsuko began to speak into her communicator. "We've arrived at the EVA storage area." Ritsuko reported giving her commanding officer an update on what was going on at the moment.
"Good the other teams have already begun the transfer of supplies and munitions into the Wundur." Misato responded which Ritsuko nodded to this.
"Understood we'll keep you posted on our progress." Ritsuko said and thus cut the call. "Alright people let's get this thing out of here." Ritsuko said knowing the sooner they load up the EVA the sooner they can leave and assist Kaiser.
(Back over on the Wundur)
Misato let out a small sigh of relief as they got a good number of supplies loaded up for their use. They were deep in enemy lines and the sooner they finish the sooner they can leave. Misato won't lie but she had a bad feeling just by being here and she wanted to get out of there as soon as possible. Suddenly her musing were cut short when an alarm began to blare.
"Status report!" Misato called out and thus Shigeru looked to her.
"Enemy contact sighted!" Shigeru called and thus Misato cursed at the change in their luck. "Looks like NERV has sent some of their own towards us and the locals are leading them!" Shigeru said judging by the scans he had gotten of the current situation.
"Damn." Misato cursed and then got into her operation mindset. "What is the statues of the transfer!" Misato called before Hyuuga spoke up with his response for her.
"They've found the SKL-RR and are preparing to release the locks for the EVA!" Hyuuga called and thus Misato heard this. Misato knew that they had to work fast and in turn needed to know every advantage and disadvantage they had.
"And the other supplies?" Misato asked needing more information on things. If she knows everything they have and don't have she can figure out a counterattack they can use for this.
"We've finished about 80% of the Transfer." Hyuuga said and thus now that she has all the information Misato knew what to do against their enemies.
"Halt any more of those transfers and focus on the EVA and the SKL-RR." Misato said but had more orders to give out. "Get Asuka and Mari to the EVA units and have Eve, Hurricane, Misty, and Flash to their own mechs!" Misato said and thus everyone got ready.
"Ma'am!" They responded and began the distribution of the command. Misato just hoped Akira and his team can pull through. For now, WILLE had to make do with what they currently had on hand here.
(Over in the Wundur's Hanger)
Alarms were blaring as everyone was running over to their designated stations. The Entry Plugs were being moved to the EVA units while Eve put on her helmet while running over to Wingle's Pilder. Nearby Hurricane, Misty, and Flash were heading to a lift that would take them over to their mechs as everyone got ready for battle.
"Hey, wonder spawn anything you can tell us about Slum King?" Asuka asked as she figured Eve would know something about him. "He is as cruel as he is unforgiving and so are those who would follow him regardless of being afraid or not." Eve said calmly as she opened Wingle's hatch. "Show no mercy because they won't give you that same benefit." Eve said reminding Asuka that they were humans who have embraced their primal origins.
"Well, she's a downer." Mari said when she heard this while all while she had been passing by. She had been heading to her own EVA when she heard the conversation going on. "So, princess ready for some action?" Mari asked hoping to get a response from Asuka.
But instead, all Asuka did was glare at Mari before turning to where her EVA Unit was currently docked. "Let's just go." Asuka said and thus she headed over to her EVA for the coming battle.
Pausing a second Mari had been caught completely off guard by this. "She's changing." Mari said before she headed to where her EVA was docked.
(Later on, the Wundur's hull)
Unit-02 and the Mk. 8 EVA rose from the Wundur with rifles in hand ready to face those attacking them. Following up was Wingle as Eve flew in with her Pilder. Attaching to the crown Wingle activated with her topaz-colored eyes flashing to life. Finally, was Hurricane, Misty, and Flash who rose in their newly upgraded mechs thanks to Jun Uzuki's tinkering. The Psycho Gears have been changed and now looked more like Wingle minus the wings. With brand new weapons and the like they were now the Iron Maidens.
Hurricane's mech was equipped with a large spear or halberd, Flash's maiden was a pair of twin swords held at the ready, while Misty's Iron Maiden was holding a massive cannon. The Iron Maidens were also equipped with concealed guns in their breasts and when asked why Jun simply said she always wanted something similar. They all stood at the ready for whatever foe was coming their way as Asuka herself growled over the battle.
"Nothing is ever allowed to be easy for us." Asuka said as she sounded upset. "Well at least I have something to lash out my frustrations on." Asuka added as she smirked in a way that Akira would have done. Mari saw this via the communications link and had a pretty good idea where Akira gets his hot-blooded nature.
"You all know your mission." Misato said as she contacted the team on the Wundur. "Defend the transfer and don't let the enemy get past you." Misato said as they had the advantage with the Wundur, but it was anyone's guess how long that advantage would last them.
"Yes ma'am!" Came the ladies as they were all ready to fight.
(Meanwhile over with Kaiser's team)
Akira and Kuzo were on a ledge with the Skull Pilder and couple of VTOL's with the extraction team they asked for. The fact they got here undetected was nothing short of a miracle here. Of course, what they found did not kindle joy from any of the crew.
"Jesus its reeks around here." One of them said as Akira scoffed to this.
"Well due you think he actually buries his dead." Akira said as one of the agents gulped before looking into the binoculars. What he saw were people gutted and impaled on pikes which was so grotesque the man ended up vomiting from the sight of it. They can even hear people innocent people screaming from the fortress as there was hardly ever any silence from this place.
"It's a fucking house of horrors isn't it." One of them said swallowing a bile of fear in his throat.
"Yeap." Akira said as he looked at the fortress while Kuzo was viewing through a pair of binoculars he brought. "Still stumps me how this asshole has a castle." Akira said waiting for the moment to bomb the place and every horror inside to smithereens.
"Well, it's a bit much but we're not exactly here for sight seeing." Kuzo said as he put the binoculars down. He then turned his attention to the crew they brough knowing they had to act fast with precise surgical precision. "Ok shit stains you all know the plan Akira and I will go in with Skull Pilder and cause a scene and get Slum King out of his throne the rest of you move in and get the hostages." Kuzo said but then got to the major bit. "Do NOT wait for us get in get out and keep flying back to base am I clear?" Kuzo said showing they had to clean house here.
"SIR!" They all called out ready to roll out.
"Good keep the VTOLS warm." Kuzo said as he and Akira began to board Skull Pilder. With that they activated the engines and flew off.
(Later in Slum Kings Fortress)
Two guards were standing watch at the main gates as one of them seemed annoyed while the other was just bored. The bored one was actually happy to be out here instead of inside where the smallest of mistakes could end him like the people on pikes nearby… yes, a gruesome scene but better here then inside. The annoyed one wanted to be inside so he can have his pleasures from the pleasure pets within.
They waited for the shift change to occur when all of a sudden, a pair of rockets flew at the gate. Before they could act the rockets hit their marks and destroyed the gate. The guards died an explosive death as Skull Pilder flew in and began the distraction.
"Enemy attack return fire!" A soldier called out as gunfire began to go off with the target being the Skull Pilder. Auto turrets were active as Skull Pilder flew through the enemy forces the pilots were taking them out with their own weapons and some flares.
(Meanwhile with the Slum King)
The Slum King saw what was going on from his window with a contemptible glare. "Their attacking my headquarters directly to protect their vessel." Slum King snarled as he glared down upon the chaotic scene. "What a bunch of inept idiots!" He added while glaring down at the Skull Pilder. He knew his forces were now in position to begin their attack on the Wundur. They did not need his confirmation to begin their attack.
(Meanwhile back at the Wundur)
The enemy forces had begun their attack on the Wundur as gunfire and the like was going off. Wingle lead the charge with the Iron Maidens and the two EVA Units as they knew what to do.
"Don't let them get close to the Wundur!" Hurricane called out as they knew as much.
"Right!" Flash and Misty called as they then went on the attack.
Charging in Misty fired off her cannon while Hurricane and Flash charged in with Wingle against a group of mechs and EVA units. By the look of things NERV had deployed some of their Mass Production models for this fight. Asuka and Mari with their EVA Units stood with Misty and her Iron Maiden unit as they provided support fire for Wingle and the two remaining Iron Maidens with her.
Asuka was not going to let them get the upper hand on them because if they did Shinji will be forced to act. And if Shinji is forced to act then he'll be left vulnerable for NERV to drag his EVA out of the Guff trapping him in this reality.
Flash roared as she sliced two mechs to ribbons with her swords as Hurricane bisected one with her large halberd. Following it up was Wingle as she flew at the enemy EVA Units when she was nearly blindsided by the Mark 6 EVA Unit who fired a beam at her. Wingle weaved around it as she was met with the navy-blue EVA hovering before her.
"You, again." Eve said as she glared at her opponent.
"It seems we meet again, grandchild of Lilith." Kaworu said calmly as he recalled facing Wingle when the Wundur had escaped him, and the Ayanami unit sent to retrieve Shinji.
Eve didn't respond and charged into the fight with Wingle. The two clashed as Wingle gave Kaworu no time to put up his EVA's AT-Field. The area was turning into a warzone as WILLE worked to get both the incomplete EVA unit and the SKL-RR onboard the Wundur and escape. That is assuming that they're distraction was doing their parts.
(On the Wundurs command deck)
Misato heard all the commands being given and was organizing everyone to act as needed. Turret fire was going off as they hit the enemy forces with increased forced. This was a battle they could not lose less they find themselves tortured and mutilated by the Slum King. The madman had made it very clear that he was not going to let anyone who entered his domain ever leave again.
(Back at the enemy fortress)
Skull Pilder was flying through the battle still as now the turrets were aimed at it. The jet avoided them as best it could as Akira and Kuzo saw they had the enemies attention here.
"Well, we got their attention." Kuzo said and thus Akira smirked.
"Yeah!" Akira said before he opened up the cockpit and drew forth his sword. "Now for the fun part!" Akira called out and in turn jumped out of Skull Pilder giving Kuzo full control.
Akira landed on a roof and somehow, he managed to break it into a small crater from the landings impact. Akira then charged in and began to hack and slash his way through the guards while Kuzo flew off to provide Akira with cover fire. While Kuzo flew by, he saw the Slum King and gave him a death glare. Kuzo may be a psycho but what the Slum King does crosses several lines even by this psychotic gunslingers standards.
"So that's the Slum King." Kuzo said while glaring at the man understanding a bit why Akira hates this guy.
(Meanwhile back over with Akira)
Akira smashed through a window and began slicing his way through the guards. Blood flew from the guard as Akira gave them no time to react to him. HE even stabbed one that was coming behind him by switching his Katana to a reverse grip. Once that was done, he ran off as the blood began to pool on the ground.
Running into a hall Akira saw dead bodies hanging from the pillars but ignored them before moving to cover as gunfire came down on him. Akira then drew from his person throwing knives and proceeded to hurl them at the guards firing on him. In doing so Akira managed to hit all of their heads without fail before he continued on to his target.
He continued on his path as Akira had a mission to complete. He entered the next room and soon found more guards coming at him from a bridge. Bellow was a river with savage creatures swimming around. Akira grinned to this and cut the rope on the bridges side. Acting fast Akira managed to swing his sword and wrap the ropes around his victims necks before using the rope to swing under the bridge bellow. The men fell into the water and if the rope had not hung them well the creatures bellow would get them. Akira took a small moment to watch as the sharks moved to new pray and began to tear them apart. The soldiers cried out in agony as their blood stained the water red causing Akira to grin sadistically at the scene going on below. Akira continued on and eventually found the final steps to Slum Kings throne room. Climbing the steps Akira had every intention of finally putting the Slum King to the grave.
Akira soon found the final door and proceeded to kick it down before entering the throne room of the bastard. "Well, you're an amusing boy." The Slum King was heard and turning to the throne Akira saw the man there. On either side of him were the chains attached to the girl and the boy he kept as his pets.
The girl looked and saw Akira there and her eyes flared up with a hope not seen in years. "Akira!" The girl called and thus the Slum King heard this.
"Oh, so it seems you know these two." The Slum King said when he saw a flash of some emotions pass by through Akira's eyes. "I can see your reasons somewhat on why you decided to barge in here boy." The Slum King said as he glared at Akira spitefully.
"Yeah, you took something from me so I'm here to take it back." Akira said but he was not done yet. "But even if you didn't, I don't need a justifiable defense." Akira said before pointing his katana at the Slum King. "We fight because we wanna fight and we smash because we wanna smash and that's all." Akira said pointing his katana at Slum King ready to fight him.
"How interesting." The Slum King said as he then began to rise from his throne dropping the chains. "Alright you brat have it you let's see if you have what it takes to finish me!" Slum King called out while drawing his sword and thus Akira was ready to face this waist of living.
"I'll make sure you regret that." Akira said as he held his Katana in both hands now. "Now let's have some fun!" He called out before charging in to fight the Slum King here and now.
Their blades clashed as they went at each other two warriors with a lust for the ultra-violence locked in mortal combat. The Slum King was strong as he was large, but Akira was smaller and faster by a large margin. The Slum King smirked at Akira when they were locked before parting and the battle continued between them. During this Michi and her friend Ryo watched as Ryo simply glared at both while Michi had hope that Akira would win.
Akira's tactics were mainly to charge in and get close and due to this Slum King was able to keep up with the younger swordsman. The two then parted as they kept their guard up.
"Your pretty good at charging in close." The Slum King began as he looked to Akira. "But all your doing is getting closer to Hell!" He said as Akira only grinned to such a declaration.
"Yeah, that's just the way I like it." Akira said as he then licked the handle of his Katana moving a small part of it into a slot like.
The bastard hummed a bit when he saw what Akira did. "I can only assume that was some kind of pathetic insult meant for me." Slum King said as he saw what Akira just did there.
"It just means I'm getting a little bit more serious now." Akira said before he charged in once more to take on the Slum King. The fight was going away from the throne as Akira and Slum King did battle against each other. This was Akira's plan draw the Slum King away so WILLE can move in and get Miki and Ryo away to safety.
Soon enough Akira went flying out the window and landed on the roof below still able and ready to fight. The Slum King followed suit and landed on the roof across from where Akira landed. "There are two things I hate in this world those who do not fear me and those who oppose me." Slum King said as Akira grinned at the insane man. "Those who do not fear me I show them true terror." He began as he glared at Akira. "And those who oppose me shall receive a punishment they will remember for a lifetime just like those two, dog people." Slum King said and thus Akira roared in fury and charged at Slum King. The two clashed for a bit as Akira was fighting just as savagely as the Slum King.
Just then VTOLS were heard as soon enough the plan was working. The Slum King saw this as Akira smirked to this. Following suit was Skull Pilder as it flew by after taking out the anti-air defenses to keep the VTOLS from entering the area.
"I see now your one of those stupid fucking Skull devil Pilots." Slum King said as he was focused on the Skull Pilder. "Now I want to fight and defeat the Skull Devil." Slum King said not even looking at Akira anymore who got annoyed.
"Are you saying that a flesh and blood one on one fight with me isn't good enough for you?!" Akira demanded as he pointed his Katana at the Slum King.
The Slum King then directed his attention back to Akira while the WILLE crew were getting the two out of his throne room. "If you die, I'll no longer get the chance to go against your robot and that would be a terrible thing." Slum King said as Akira got even more angry at the warlord standing before him. "Now fight me with it I'm going to use my robot as well." Slum King said as he began to walk off to get his robot.
Akira was about to chase after him before two mechs under Slum Kings command showed up. "Either pilot it or be crushed where you stand!" Slum King called out while walking away.
"Say what?!" Akira asked before he had to jump out of the way when the robot tried to crush him. "Hey Fatso, don't turn you back on me!" Akira called out hoping the WILLE Agents got Miki and Ryo out of that place. Just then the robot was about to try again only to be hit by a rocket curtesy of Skull Pilder. Flying in Akira sheathed his sword and then ran and jumped back into Skull Pilder's via the machines opened cockpit.
(In the Skull Pilder's cockpit)
Akira took his spot once more as he glared at Slum King walking off. "Fuck this I forgot how nuts that guy was." Akira said as he glared at him.
"Well, you're not one to talk, Akira." Kuzo said with a smirk on his face.
"Well, if he wants to see Kaiser that badly we'll give it to him!" Akira announced ready to kill Slum King with their skull mech.
"Alright let's do this then." Kuzo said and thus began the summoning to awaken Kaiser.
(Back outside Slum Kings fortress)
The mountain began to shake and rumble as Skull Pilder flew towards it despite the enemy fire going down on them. Soon the mountain shattered revealing Kaiser hidden underneath it ready for battle. "Pilder!" Akira called out as the Skull Pilder shifted its form to dock into Kaiser's crown.
"ON!" Kuzo called out and thus Skull Pilder joined with Kaiser in his crown activating him.
(Meanwhile with the extraction team)
"Come on hurry!" A soldier called out as they moved in towards the shocked Miki and unfeeling Ryo.
"No stay back! Stay back!" Miki began to panic but the soldier pulled down her mask to reveal a woman.
"Don't worry your safe now." She said to assure Miki she was not going to be hurt or touched like the Slum King had done to her. She was surprised as a blanket was wrapped around her and Ryo before the soldiers began to carry the two out of the throne room.
"Lets move the sooner this is done the sooner we can get out of the line of fire!" The captain said as they all began to load up into the VTOLS in order to escape. Once everyone was loaded up the captain made the call. "Let's go! Let's go!" He called and thus the VTOLS began to fly off before Slum King returned or worse his robot took them down.
(Back outside to the battlefield)
Enemy fire began to go off as Kaiser was being hit by all of it. But instead, Kaiser jumped up drew his Ganzanto holding the massive weapon in both hands before coming down and cleaving an enemy mech in two. The robot exploded as Kaiser then shouldered his massive weapon.
"Guess what." Akira began as he currently had a sadistic smile etched onto his face. "This little place just became a nice slice of Hell!" Akira called out before Kaiser charged in against his foes and began to cleave through them with the Ganzanto. Akira let out a road as he fought off the enemy mechs serving the Slum King. The VTOLS meanwhile were making their escape as Kaiser was covering them staying behind to ensure that both of the Slum Kings hostages, they got would made it out alive.
Just then a group of ranged fighters began to fire at Kaiser who used the flat side of the Ganzanto as his own makeshift shield. "These guys are a real pain in the ass!" Akira called out clearly annoyed here.
"Well, I do better with projectiles then you do." Kuzo said which Akira knew that fact about Kuzo well enough. Thus, Akira switched out with Kuzo and in turn Kaiser once again drew his Breast Triggers for battle. Kaiser avoided the enemy shots and got close to Slum Kings followers before he opened fire at them at pointblank range. The gunfire went off as Kaiser spun on his feet to take out all of the foes with as a gunslinger. Soon enough the group of foes were dealt with as the VTOLs were now out of firing range meaning they can get back to base.
(Back at the Wundur Battle)
The battle for the Wundur was ongoing as the vessel was providing excellent support for their forces. But still they were outnumbered and moving the last of the equipment onto the Wundur. The SKL-RR was secured and now they had to secure the incomplete EVA Unit into their mighty vessel.
Flash blocked an attack with her swords before kicking the foe away from her. She then followed it up with an attack from her chest. The robots breasts opened up and fired of several rocket shots from them hitting the enemy mech with its might.
Misty fired against an EVA unit when Hurricane came down with her halberd and cleaved the EVA in two. "Got you." Hurricane said with a smile on her face.
"If this keeps up, we may not be able to secure the Wundur for launch." Flash said with concern in her voice for the current battle.
"We need to hold out for as long as possible!" Misty said as she knew they had to do what needed to be done. "We're the Iron Maidens we need to hold the line!" She added and thus they had to do what they had to do.
Meanwhile over with Wingle she and the EVA Mark-06 were at odds as they had landed on the ground close to where Unit-02 and Unit-08 were. Asuka and Mari joined up with Wingle as they all had weapons ready to face this foe.
"Hey, Wonder spawn let us take out the AT-Field!" Asuka said as she glared at the enemy EVA before her.
"Yeah, without Kaiser you need some help with AT-Fields." Mari said and thus Wingle looked to the two and nodded.
"Alright!" Eve responded and thus the Wingle and the two EVA units were now ready.
The three then charged in and began to attack the Kaworu and his EVA unit. Wingle attacked first to get the AT-Field up and when that succeeded Asuka and Mari joined and hit the AT-field with their own to neutralize it from their foes arsenal. Once that was done Wingle rejoined and kicked Kaworu's EVA down the hill they were fighting on before she landed and rejoined Asuka and Mari.
"Well, this should be interesting." Kaworu said as he had his EVA get back up to continue fighting this foe.
(Back at Slum Kings Fortress)
Kaiser stood at the center of the wreckage of the Slum Kings fortress with the Breast Trigger still out showing Kuzo was in control. It was a slaughter for Slum Kings forces as now only the human sized ones were left. Seeing what Kaiser done to their fortress had many of them fleeing from the scene hoping to use the chaos to finally escape. As Kaiser stood there for a bit rumbling was heard and soon enough a massive statue of a demonic face rose from the ground. It then split open releasing its contents revealing it to be Slum Kings own personal mech inside. The robot walked out to face Kaiser showing that Slum King truly did wish to test his metal against Kaiser.
"Hey look there he is." Kuzo said recognizing Slum King had finally joined the fight.
"Yeah, I see him, a royal ass if you ask me." Akira said ready to finish off this remorseless beast.
Just then Slum King began to speak as he looked to the Skull Robot, Kaiser. "How did you mech end up looking so damn ghastly?" Slum King said through his mechs built in exterior speakers.
"There's a bit of a long story about that." Akira said as he glared at Slum King waiting for this. "Nobody but us can handle piloting it." Akira said and thus Slum King laughed at the pilots inside their mech.
"You two morons can't beat me and that will end up being your destiny." Slum King said with his mech pointing its spear at Kaiser.
"Uh-oh he said the D word." Akira said knowing how Kuzo gets when someone says that.
"Our destiny huh?" Kuzo asked as he glared at Slum King now wanting a piece of him for that.
Slum King noticed this and raised a brow with how Kuzo spoke. Yes, he can see it this boy the gunslinger was no regular human. This may prove to be even more interesting if he can beat Kaiser then Slum King gains all he desires.
"Come on Kuzo let's switch out!" Akira called out as he wanted another shot at Slum King to finish this.
"No, you gotta let me stay in control." Kuzo said as he was not budging from this.
"What's the good of that?" Akira asked as he really hoped Kuzo knew what he was doing here.
"There is a lot of things I hate about this guy." Kuzo said with a deep look upon his face. "But the minute he used the word destiny like that pissed me off." Kuzo announced showing he was going to send Slum King to hill for using that particular word.
"Fine if it means that much to you Kaiser is all yours, I got my swing at him already." Akira said as he then sat back for the fireworks. "But Kuzo the minute you get into trouble." Akira began but then Kuzo cut him off.
"Yeah, I know Akira." Kuzo said as he got ready to for his own crack at the Slum King himself. "I'll take you on." Kuzo said through the exterior speakers while Kaiser took a battle stance with the Breast Triggers. "Why don't you come and kill a little time with us?" Kuzo offered making a bring it on gesture with his right hand holding the Breast Trigger.
"That sounds really wonderful to me." Slum King said and in turn he made the first move. The robot Slum King commanded spun its spear before throwing it at Kaiser like a Javelin. Kaiser in response fired off the Breast Triggers at the spear but the bullets did nothing to stop it thus forcing Kaiser to jump to the side to dodge it. But when Kaiser landed Slum Kings robot was already behind the skull mech and thus he was about to punch Kaiser. But thankfully Kuzo managed to stop the attack and keep Kaiser safe from it by deflecting it. Kaiser switched the hold on his gun to use it as a tomahawk, but Slum King took the opportunity to grab Kaiser and throw him over the side showing how nimble the robot was.
However, Kaiser spun in the air before firing upon Slum Kings robot with his guns. Alas Slum King's robot was made of sterner stuff as the bullets all bounced off Kaiser hitting his fortress killing off many of his followers who still remained. Kaiser landed on the ground with a flip and saw as the smoke cleared Slum Kings Robot was unharmed.
"I have the superior edge in power, speed, and armor! And I'm a far superior pilot!" Slum King announced which served to anger Kuzo even further. Kuzo then let loose a flurry of bullets upon Slum Kings mech, but the bullets kept bouncing off of Slum King's robot, like small pebbles. "So, you don't like the word destiny." Slum King said as the gunfire kept going.
"Shut up!" Kuzo roared as he kept the gunfire up.
"You better watch out your just the kind of boy who destiny loves to toy with!" Slum King announced as Kuzo was growing enraged here. "I've met with many like you before boy I worked with NERV so of course I've had the opportunity to meet with Ikari's Ayanami clones." Slum King said as he looked to Kuzo getting into the gunslingers head. "And I know how to spot a clone when I meet one." Slum King said and thus Kuzo's rage was growing wilder. "So, if you're the clone who is your original?" Slum King asked as he was getting inside of Kuzo's head.
"SHUT UP!" Kuzo snarled and thus he reloaded the Breast Triggers before he opened fire and charged at Slum King.
Akira saw this and saw Kuzo was acting wilder then normal. "Yo Kuzo calm down your acting like me!" Akira called out as he saw Kuzo was unsettled right now. But Kuzo did not hear Akira as all he saw was a floor of red a floor covered in blood as he looked down upon someone who wore his face. In the darkness he saw several other men with his face all of them dead hence why the floor was covered in blood, their blood.
When Kaiser grew close Slum King made his moved and appeared in front of Kaiser. The Slum King then smacked Kaiser through the walls and down the hill of his fortress where he landed at the bottom of the large ditch bellow. All the while Kuzo and Akira were not having a good time here.
(Back at the Wundur battle)
The Iron Maidens kept their defensive going as the Slum Kings forces with the aid of NERV continued their assault. But then Misty pulled the trigger, but nothing came from her weapon. "I'm out." Misty said dropping the cannon and switching to her breast guns.
"I'm not sure how much longer we can hold out." Flash said as the Iron Maidens were starting to struggle against the assault of NERV and Slum Kings own forces.
Meanwhile Wingle with Asuka and Mari were still fighting Kaworu as the NERV pilot was without his AT-Field right now. Asuka then charged in and in turn Kaworu went low to grab her and keep her at bay for a bit. He then used the time to throw Asuka over his shoulder before Wingle flew in and kicked Kaworu down. Asuka fell down the hill a bit and when she hit the bottom she tried to get down. Cursing at this Asuka began to get back up only to suddenly be blindsided by a new enemy contact odd devices with a pair of EVA like arms attached to them.
"What?!" Asuka asked in time for the arms to grab her and wrap around her EVA. Asuka struggled to get free, but the arms would not release her from their grip. What followed next was Asuka crying out in pain as the arms released an electrical surge as they were now hurting Asuka and her EVA.
As this was happening to Asuka the opposing EVA's surrounded her but did nothing to finish her off just watched. Despite the pain Asuka saw this and in a small part of her mind she was confused as to why they won't finish her off.
(Meanwhile back on the Wundur)
"Unit-02 is suffering severe damage!" Shigeru cried out as they saw what was going on.
"She's surrounded by enemy EVA's, but they aren't doing anything to her." Hyuuga announced as even Hideki found this strange.
"Why won't they finish her?" Ritsuko asked as Asuka for all intents and purposes was dead in the water.
"Unless finishing her off isn't their intent." Misato said and thus it hit her. "They're trying to get Unit-01 to appear!" Misato called and knew they had to help Asuka now. "Mari Eve disengaged and assist Asuka; they're using her as bait!" Misato ordered knowing they had to act fast before Unit-01 and Shinji act to save Asuka from the danger.
(Back in the Wundur Battle)
"Right!" Mari called out and thus she pinned the Mark-6 EVA. "Go I'll cover for you!" Mari called and thus Eve nodded to the girl.
"Understood." Eve said and thus her Wingle took flight to assist Asuka. But it seems NERV saw her coming as their Nemesis Units were in the battle and attacking her Wingle. They weren't trying to beat the Wingle Unit but simply keep it at bay long enough for Unit-01 to make its appearance for Asuka. At the rate things were going Unit-01 was bound to make its appearance once more.
'Please Shinji don't come out.' Asuka mentally begged as she knew if he response then they would be royally screwed.
(Back to the Kaiser Battle)
Kaiser as at the bottom of the ditch as Kuzo and Akira were regaining their senses. "What the hell are you doing Kuzo?" Akira asked as he got back up.
During thing Slum Kings robot approached them as he had retrieved his spear prior to coming down. Kuzo saw him and then snarled at his foe. "Screw you asshole I'm my own man! I live the way I wand and die the way I want!" Kuzo yelled before he fired on Slum Kings robot while letting out a feral roar. Kaiser then ran out of ammo but instead of reloading he put the guns together and from them a large shaft was produced from the barrels making the guns into a war axe for Kaiser. "My life belongs to only to me and nobody else you hear!" Kuzo bellowed as Kaiser spun the axe and took a battle stance before charging in against the Slum King.
Slum King managed to block the attack as Kaiser was now fighting almost ferally thanks to Slum Kings words. "I happen to feel the same way about mine and now I will teach you a lesson." Slum King said with a malicious laugh before he began to fight back.
The two mechs went at it for a bit as clearly Slum King had the advantage over Kaiser right now. Soon enough Slum King slugged Kaiser in the face sending the skull robot tumbling to the ground from the strike.
"Kuzo switch with me!" Akira called out as he knew Kuzo was losing his cool. Kuzo meanwhile was having something of a panic attack as he saw the memories before his eyes his origins his birth and the death of all of his other selves by his own feral hands.
"I am the only one, I am the only one; I am the only one." Kuzo repeated almost like he was in a trance as Kaiser got back up. "I AM THE ONLY ONE!" Kuzo roared as Kaiser charged back into the fight that he was losing currently in, again. Slum King however was ready and soon used the maw of his dragon spear to catch Kaiser's head in the gap of the weapon. Slum King then followed it up by releasing a flash of electricity that surged through Kaiser and Kuzo causing the pair extreme pain from the attack.
When Slum King stopped his attack Kaiser fell back and hit the ground hard. Kuzo regained himself and just as he was about to have Kaiser get back up Akira appeared and punched Kuzo across the face so hard, he knocked his co-pilot out cold.
"Stupid ass." Akira said with a growl but just after he said that Slum King had grabbed Kaiser by his head and hoisted him up. Slum King then threw Kaiser down the ledge where the skull robot rolled down it like a broken doll. During this Akira was being thrown around the cockpit as he was not wearing his seatbelt nor in his own seat. Eventually Kaiser hit the bottom of the hill defeated by the Slum King who approached the skull robot down below.
Akira growled as he got back up but was bleeding from his head. "What the fuck is going on?" Akira growled as he tried to regain his senses from this.
Slum King however was deeply disappointed with the turn out of what had happened here. "That was truly a disappointment yet very fun at the same time." Slum King said as Akira then snarled at him.
Taking Kuzo's controls Akira began to force Kaiser back onto its feet and got ready to forcibly switch out to change the tides of this battle. "Don't think you've won just yet." Akira snarled as he glared at that Slum King. Instead of responding Slum King swung his spear and thrusted the weapons pommel at Kaiser ready to finish off the skull robot once and for all. Akira acted and to avoid the Pilder being hit moved Kaiser enough so that his right eye was hit instead. The force of the attack however broke through and destroyed Kaiser's right eye.
Kaiser however was defiant till the end as were his pilots. Thus, he grabbed the weapon attempting to force it out while causing the oil gushed through Kaiser to seep out like blood. Once Kaiser got the weapon out the oil spewed out like blood and as Kaiser began to fall back finally defeated.
"I can't believe this… how can this have happened?" Akira asked as he was starting to lose consciousness. "It's just like… that day." Akira said recalling the day he lost what little light he had in this world turned Hell.
"This is so boring." Slum King said ready to finish off Kaiser and chase down the VTOLS sent by WILLE. "NOW DIE!" Slum King roared and jammed the spear into Kaiser's chest creating a rippling surge of electricity. The surge was so great that when it eventually came to an end the ground beneath Kaiser caved in and in turn the Skull mech fell down to the dark abyss bellow.
Slum King smirked at his apparent victory and began to take his leave of the scene knowing he had bigger fish to fry. WILLE did not fear him and defied him… he planned to deal with that group himself. Gendo wanted WILLE distracted with obstacles and right now Slum King did not care for that. He will take all that the world has to offer and make it his own. From what he recalled Misato or Ritsuko may prove to be good replacements for Miki. But if not either of those woman Mari or Asuka would suffice as well with Katsuragi's son being his replacement for Ryo when he finds the boy and destroys him.
(Meanwhile in the chasm Kaiser)
Kaiser had landed at the bottom of the chasm with his halberd nearby and was sitting in an underground lake. The water was surprisingly blue no doubt being spared by the Second Impact due to being this deep underground.
But despite this the impossible had finally happened, Kaiser has lost. Akira coughed as he began to regain himself if only barely. "You son of a bitch." Akira cursed as he tried to get back up. "You lost your cool and now… we're in total Hell. It's your fault." Akira said to the unconscious Kuzo before passing out next to him.
And thus, Kaiser laid there defeated and broken and with it all hope for humanity to ever defeat NERV.
