Hey, guys. Here is another installment of the 'Think Yuu Can Escape, Izuku?' In this chapter, Izuku's oasis becomes disrupted after receiving the phone call that he most feared. Read and find out.
NOTE: Unlike its previous comedic predecessor, this story will contain darker elements.
Izuku hoped Miyoko didn't mind taking the day off. Class was cancelled for the day as well, giving him a bit of time to have a day off for a change.
"Who's ready for the zoo?" Nagisa said to Yuriko as the baby bounced happily in her bassinet. The amber-eyed woman pinched Yuri-chan's cheeks while she babbled in all smiles. "Oh, yes you are~! Yes, you are~!"
"It's great to see her natural glow." Izuku said happily, feeling proud that his daughter is no longer exhibiting any symptoms of illness. "She looks and acts like a joyful child."
Nagisa handed Yuri-chan her pacifier and kissed her on the cheek before letting her tend to herself. Still sporting her apron after fixing breakfast, she walked to the couch with Yuri-chan's father and hopefully, her official boyfriend resided.
"She's surrounded by happiness." Nagisa smiled, placing herself onto Izuku's lap. Rightfully seated at her throne as she bathed her nose into his air, inhaling its fragrance of oatmeal raisin shampoo. She latched herself onto him, making it abundantly clear that she didn't want to let go. Who would resist this emerald gem, this beautiful masterpiece that was handcrafted by the Lord himself.
Izuku nodded as he held onto her waist. He felt her sweet, tender kisses into his hair, feeling the warmth of her embrace. It gave him a joyful feeling in his gut — like a special birthday present from his mother or fresh batches of oatmeal raisin cookies from his grandmother. He couldn't recall the last time he had felt like this — a wholesome feeling that he prayed that would never disappear.
"By the way, I did purchase a crib for Yuri-chan. I'm going to clean out my office and use that for her bedroom," she said to him.
"You don't have to do that," he said.
"I didn't have to, I wanted to," she responded, kissing him again. "Love doesn't cost a thing. You two are my special treasures. Plus, I don't think Yuri-chan needs to see or hear the things we do when we need alone time." She giggled as she kissed him again. She could never get enough of kissing this cinnamon roll. "Lest we want another Kayama-sensei on our hands."
He chuckled nervously, instantly forgetting about telling the escapades surrounding his former Pro Hero History teacher.
"Should we get going to the zoo, baby." Nagisa asked, looking at her SmartWatch. "Plus, I know how you get with pinching pennies before peak times."
"It's called being economical." He responded, flicking her forehead. "You'll know when you become a parent."
She puffed her cheeks. "I think I am getting a little preview of that." She said, staring at Yuriko.
"Think you're ready for the responsibility of being a mom?" He asked her.
"If it's worth getting you, it's worth the risk," she answered proudly. "You're two are my special treasures. Who would refuse such gentle creatures like you?" She reached over and titled his chin. "I love you, Izuku. You're mine. Not in the sense of possession, but a spiritual allegiance. I am you and you are me. Yuri-chan is at the center and I want her to grow up surrounded by love."
He swallowed a lump in his throat, seeing her sincerity and the tensed look of her face confirmed it. Within, he wanted to cry. Is this what it feels to be treated as special?
Earlier that morning, he made up his mind to cease the relationship that he had with Yuu. Although their relationship with her mentally ended within the few months of her pregnancy with Yuriko, he wanted to make this official. As Nagisa slept beside him, he reached for his laptop and began looking online in search of attorneys that were involved with child custody cases.
He knew that this separation wasn't going to end smoothly. Separations that weren't exactly amicable would always end up that way. Nevertheless, this was his happiness at stake and he was no longer getting that from Yuu. If taking that route was going to keep his sanity and restore the peace in his mind, body, and soul, then it was worth the risk.
With All Might's connection with Officer Tamakawa at the police department, that was one less thing to hassle in regards to a restraining order. He knew that he would have to get his stuff from their apartment. They weren't legally married so there was no need for the process of finances and things. Honestly, she could keep everything that was in that house. The only thing he needed was right there with him — his precious Yuriko.
"I believe you, Nagi. Very much!" His emerald eyes glowed as he took his hand and cupped her cheek. She took in the warmth of his hand, kissing his palm.
"I love you, Izuku." She said with a fond smile. She leaned forward and kissed him on the lips.
Izuku was receptive to the kiss as he pressed his lips onto hers. It felt like fireworks were exploding in his brain. This felt right. It felt just right.
Nagisa invited her tongue into his mouth. His tongue and hers performed a dance as they bathed in the essence of what they called their relationship. His stifled moans were evident to her as she pressed him down to the couch.
She broke the kiss, creating a trail of saliva between the two. When he opened his eyes, he saw the beautiful sight of his girlfriend, showing a pleasant look on her face. "So this is what it feels like to belong to someone you love."
Nagisa took off her apron and dropped it to the floor. Izuku appeared concerned, knowing the direction where Nagisa was going. "Nagi, Yuri—"
He was cut off when she planted her lips onto his. He took in her tongue once more, despite trying to resist as he didn't want Yuri-chan to hear or see what they were doing.
"Don't worry," she said. "We're not going too deep."
He didn't believe that. She was hypersexual. "What about the zoo?"
"I'll pay for it. Just a quickie, Izuku. I want to make you feel good."
Although a bit irritated by the disruptive plans, he would be a liar if he didn't want it as badly as she did. "Ok," he said, giving in to the pleasure. "However, the bassinet in the bedroom now."
"Really?"
"I might approve this impromptu session but Yuri-chan won't get a preview of this until she is old enough to buy cigarettes." He folded his arms, making it clear that he would stand by his word.
"You're lucky that I love you so much." Nagisa pecked him on the lips as she stood up and walked over to the bassinet where Yuri-chan resided. "When I come back, get ready to come as well."
He recognized the firmness in her voice. He was turned on by the assertiveness of a woman like Nagisa. Admittedly, he had come to terms with his fondness of dominant women. It was their prowess, their leadership, their demands that were enticing to the teen. He hasn't really shared this with anyone, feeling repercussions or being belittled — particularly with the role of the fairer sex being reversed.
It made him feel like a hypocrite considering Yuu fitted his description. At the same time, abuse wasn't listed as a quality.
As he prepared himself to have another session with Nagisa, his phone rang. He reached into his pocket to grab it. It was probably his mother wondering if he received the care package for Yuri-chan. He answered it without scanning the caller.
"Hey, Mom. I didn't get the package yet. I'll see after Nagisa and I will take Yuri-chan to the zoo."
"Who in the hell is Nagisa?"
It was a shot through the heart. His mouth was agape when recognizing the voice. A voice he had never in a million years that would penetrate his eardrums from this phone. His heart wanted to leap out of his chest when knowing this very world he was creating was being destroyed just from this call alone.
"Yuu?"
"Who do you think it is, darling? Now answer my question. Who in the hell is Nagisa?"
He couldn't answer. Better yet, he didn't want to answer. He was becoming numb every second as the woman that was his "wife" was on the other end of the phone.
She chuckled. "It's okay, darling. You don't have to explain yourself. I'm back in town and we can discuss this when you and Yuri-chan come home."
The call disconnected. At the same time, so was his oasis with Nagisa.
"Alright, baby. Ready to take a ride with your kitty ca—" Nagisa's smile faded away when she saw her beloved slumped over on the couch. His head was buried in his lap. "Izuku? Izuku?" She rushed to his aid. "Baby, is everything okay? Is everything alright?"
He was silent. The only thing audible was his sniffling. She then eyed his phone and noticed the cracks that weren't there earlier. She grew worried. Something was wrong.
"Baby? What's wrong? Did something happen to Auntie?"
He raised his head up, showing his flushed cheeks and strained face. As much as he could muster, he responded. "She called."
He didn't have to say anything further. She knew exactly what he meant. She placed her arm around him, comforting him to the best of her ability. In her heart, she knew it was a matter of time. She just didn't think it would have been this instant. How did she know? How did she find out?
"Oh my God," she said as she gave light, feathery kisses. "Oh my God."
"She told me to come home. She told us to come home." He sniffled, wiping the tears with his arm. "I think she knows."
"Baby, you will be alright. We won't let that bitch do anything to you or Yuri-chan."
"You don't know Yuu like that. She isn't a person to trifle with. She isn't afraid to get her hands dirty," he said. The saying was true — when a person wants you, best believe they will find you. The heaven he was creating was now over in a way of a phone call. "I need to go, Nagisa. I have to get Yuri-chan and go home."
Nagisa pressed her hand against his chest and pushed him back on the couch. "You're not going anywhere. You're not going back to that bitch."
"But, Nagisa."
"You are not going back to a woman that misuses and abuses you," she said, showing a stern look on her face. "I refuse for you and Yuri-chan to go back to that hell."
Izuku wanted Nagisa to understand that if Yuu knew about this secret phone, what else did she know. Yuu could be ditzy at times, but that was the persona she perceived onto others. No one, not even her colleagues, knew what really moved Yuu Takeyama.
'Baby, you know our situation.'
'No, I don't!'
'Why are you trying to start a fight?'
'I am not starting anything!'
'You're acting like I am on trial. Better choose the right side. The plaintiff or the accused.'
"Why are you acting like this? What are you accusing me of? You don't trust your husband?"
'Watch that hostile attitude, Deku. Don't think you got balls to talk to me like that because I am out of town.'
'Baby, I love you. But when I get home, there better be an attitude adjustment or else I modify it for you.'
He firmly pushed Nagisa aside. He stood up from the couch, turning around to face the woman who provided him shelter and love in the past few weeks. "If not now, then when?"
"What do you mean, baby?"
His fists tightened, to the point where his hands were lightened. He shuddered before grunting. "If not now, then when? If not now, then when?" He stomped his foot. "If not now, then when? If not now, then when? If not now, then when?..."
A cadence was formed, stomping his foot at each syllable — heightening his attitude and aggravation concerning the situation. "If not now, then when? If not now, then when?"
He tried not to shout, fearing that he would make Yuri-chan cry. He walked to the counter where he had his keys. Nagisa followed suit. "Izuku, what are you—"
He cut her off, putting his finger to her lip. This was enough. He has had enough. How long will it be? How long before the inevitable? This solace nulled the pain, muffled the disdain he had for Yuu. Despite playing safe, it was only a matter of time. He couldn't run away from this. Now it was the time to face his wife, even if it meant not heading back to Nagisa alive.
For Yuriko's happiness.
"I need you to stay here and watch Yuri-chan," he said to her, holding her hand. "Don't go anywhere, do answer any strange numbers, don't do anything. I'll be back in two hours."
"But, Izuku…"
"Listen to what I am saying, Nagi." The look in his eyes indicated seriousness to the amber-eyed woman. This wasn't the look of fear she saw earlier on the couch. "If I am not back within two hours, take Yuri-chan to my mother's." He let go of her hand and went to the counter. Grabbing a pen and the back of a bill envelope, he wrote the directions to his mother's house.
"Take this and take Yuri-chan to my mother's."
"Izuku, you're scaring me."
"Just do as I say. I can't run from the shit anymore."
"Baby, the police—"
"Two hours. If I am not back within two hours, go to my mom's"
"But…"
"Do it!" A triumphant roar that came from the innards of his throat caused the once silent Yuri-chan to cry.
He shut his eyes, taking a breath as he was setting himself for the inevitable when he walked back to that home. He pecked Nagisa on the cheek and took the keys and headed for the door. It hurt that he couldn't tend to his crying daughter. Nagisa would take care of her. At least her sadness was due to being disturbed from a nap.
And not from the abuse of her mother.
'Doctor, I am not sure how Yuriko isn't getting these spots on her back. But, it certainly didn't come from me.'
'I believe you but you know that wouldn't hold in court if I were to report this. The stress Yuri-chan is inhibiting is due to some kind of obstruction. Is everything alright in the home?'
'Her mother has been stressed out lately. I can't say how things are with Yuri-chan whenever I am not at home.'
'Do you think Takeyama exhibits postpartum depression? It's very common with mothers after childbirth.'
'Yuu isn't always right in the head, chemical imbalance.'
'I'm going to pretend that we didn't have this conversation. As a doctor, I really should advise someone about those burns on your daughter's back. But as a friend, get Yuri-chan out of there. I know what Yuu is capable of and she doesn't need to be around that environment.'
'You know my situation.'
'Your daughter comes first. What is the court going to say when you two are hand-in-hand in handcuffs? Warning comes before destruction. Listen to me, Izuku. Yuu is hurting that child and that is why Yuri-chan is sick. Do what is best for your daughter and get out.'
A short time later….
The emerald-haired teen drove in Nagisa's car and parked about a block from the apartment. He turned off the engine and removed the keys from the ignition. Zero hour was upon him. He couldn't have cold feet, despite his fear of what would happen once he stepped inside. Whether it was today, tomorrow, or two months from now, Yuu was going to find out.
He went into his phone and pressed the recorder app. If anything were to happen to him — as evidence to the police or retrieved from the coroners, the proof was there. He looked at himself in the mirror before stepping out of the car.
Locking the door behind him, he briskly walked to his home where she was there waiting on him. Who knew what was on Yuu's mind and honestly, he didn't want to care. However, a part of him did. Despite how she was, that was still the mother of his child. Even if this was the last hoorah, the severance pop, the last call, this needed to be done. Yuu was unstable and a danger to herself. If anything, he was doing her a favor.
Hypocritical it may sound as he muttered to himself, but in this culture and in this society, nothing makes sense. People say and do what they want as long as it appeases them. He just knew that once he went in there, he wanted to put this to rest.
For the sake of his happiness, and Nagisa's and most of all, his Yuri-chan.
Meanwhile….
Miyoko's boyfriend and his sister stepped out of the car behind the coffeehouse. Miyoko should have been back home hours ago and he grew worried. This was out-of-character for the larger-than-life woman who would have normally notified them through text or call when she leaves and returns to her destination.
"Maybe she ran out of juice." His sister said as she locked the door to the car. "You know she can love this job more than you."
"She's a workaholic, yes, but this isn't like her. She was only supposed to be gone for a few minutes." He said as he looked at the clock. "Our plane leaves in a few hours and the airport is an hour away."
"She probably fell asleep in her office. The office is very cushy. A home away from home," said his sister.
"This isn't like Mimi, sis," said her brother. "If she plans to stay over, she would've called."
"Maybe it was that cutie with the green hair that caught her attention," she said as she licked her lips as she, too, thought the barista was cute. "I'll cheat on you for that carrot cake."
"She isn't like that, sis," he retorted. "Besides, he has a girl that caught his eye."
"Marriage is one thing. Boyfriend and girlfriend are fair game." She chuckled.
"No wonder the statistics of netorare continue to skyrocket." He clicked his tongue.
They walked their usual way to the coffeehouse, which was the back entrance. He had the master key in case he needed to assist her for a coffee or dessert run. He unlocked the door and his sister headed in first.
Upon entering, they were met with a cold breeze.
"Jesus, feels like Elsa has been through here." His sister said as she grabbed her arms and rubbed to keep warm.
It was dark inside, which was aberrant as it was supposed to be store hours. Another aberrant sign. It was rare for Miyoko to close the shop. Even with a blizzard, that shop remained open as usual.
He took sudden breaths, telling himself not to panic. Maybe Miyoko had to do an out-of-town run to get supplies. Although she knew better not to do that knowing they have to leave town, it wasn't out of her character to do so.
"I'm going to check on the goods…I mean check the thermostat. Be right back." She giggled as she walked through the kitchen.
He searched for a nearby light switch. When seeing one, he hit the switch but nothing turned on. Using his flashlight app on his phone, he looked at the ceiling. He didn't see anything displaying something wrong or out of place.
"Miyoko?" He called aloud. "Miyoko, are you here?"
He displayed the light so he could see the hallway of the kitchen. Everything looked clean, nothing to indicate that they were preparing for today.
"Miyoko. What's going on? Where in the heck are you?"
"Oh my God?!"
A loud scream disrupted his thoughts. Knowing it was his sister, he rushed to the source of her screaming. As he ran toward the dining area, he saw his sister running toward him.
"Sis?"
"Stay back, aniki."
"What do you mean?" He said, his voice rattling.
"Don't go in there, aniki. Don't go in there."
With his adrenaline building, something was wrong. He pushed his sister out of the way and rushed to the dining area.
In between two tables, lying in a pool of now-dried blood, etched with slash marks all through her body was Miyoko.
To be continued….
