Chancellor Sheppard's night was going from bad to worse, he had to cancel a date he was going to have with Ms. Dorothy to attend an emergency meeting after one of his students apparently got seriously injured.

Arriving at the meeting room he didn't even bother greeting his colleagues and simply sat on his spot. A steaming mug of coffee was already waiting for him, with a sign he ran his hands through his bald head before taking a sip from the mug in front of him.

"So" he started while rubbing the bridge of his nose "What happened exactly?" He lifted his gaze and regarded his colleagues

"The Slifer Red student Oleander Hemlock got injured after his duel disk exploded" Nurse Fontaine, the head mistress of the female Obelisk Blue spoke up while holding a medical report.

"How bad are the injuries" Sheppard braced himself for the incoming migraine

"Well, that's the interesting part," she trailed off while double-checking the report. "He doesn't have any serious injuries, other than a few minor scratches" she settled the paper down and sipped a bit of her tea.

"Are you sure these reports are accurate?" Professor Satyr, headmaster of the Ra Yellow dorm, spoke up while looking over the copy of the report given to him.

"I personally did the examination and didn't find anything; for all intents and purposes, he will make a full recovery," she said, annoyed after her medical skills were questioned.

"Good." Sheppard let out a relieved sigh after hearing the poor boy would make a full recovery. "Now regarding the duel disk," he said, flipping over the paper and being met with a picture of the duel disk in question.

The machine was a complete wreck; the once spotless and shiny metal was now burned and twisted in many spots, and the zones where the duelist would place their cards were destroyed beyond repair.

What caught Sheppard's attention was the deck, which was still attached to the destroyed machine. The cards were completely fine, and most bizarre of all, they didn't show any sign of damage whatsoever; they were pristine, as if they were recently pulled from a booster pack.

"Anything else regarding this incident?" The chancellor's eyes started to scan the room, just waiting for someone to speak up, and nurse Fontaine once again got up.

"Yes, according to one of my students, a girl by the name of Sadie Agawa, both she and Oleander encountered a..." She gave the document a quick glance. "A ´heterochromatic red dragon´ that bit Oleander's duel disk, causing the machine to explode," she said, sitting down again.

"And where is Miss Agawa?" he leaned in on his table while interlacing his fingers.

"She returned to her dorm." Fontained shook her head while having a melancholy expression. "Poor thing was obviously shaken."

"Chancellor" Crowler now spoke up "May I hold mister Oleander personal belongings until he fully recovers?" he was smirking internally, he'd get his hands on the slacker's PDA and-

"That won't be necessary, Doctor Crowler." Fontaine turned her attention to the headmaster of the Obelisk Blue. "Sadie volunteered to hold them for him," she said, giving him a happy smile.

"O-oh" He gave his colleague a forlorn look before slumping down on his seat and saying, "I see."

[ Obelisk Blue - Girls Dorm ]

Sadie was splayed across her bed and the heavens above, she was absolutely tired in every sense of the word. Shifting her position on the bed until she was lying on her side, her eyes idly wandered across her room until they laid upon a red jacket that was resting atop her desk.

She got up from her bed with a grunt and walked over to it. The once spotless red jacket now had brown stains everywhere, and the left sleeve ended in torn black fabric. Besides it, there was Oleander's deck and PDA, which still worked despite having a cracked screen.

She picked up the stack of cards in her hand; it was honestly a miracle that they survived the duel disk's explosion. She unconsciously started to go over the cards just to make sure that they were indeed fine, and it seems like they were fine and dandy.

But her eyes went wide when she reached the last card, and she immediately recognized it as the same dragon that caused Oleander's duel disk to explode. Did he always have that card in his deck? If so, why did it appear out of nowhere? It felt out of place, and yet at the same time, it didn't.

She settled the cards back in the desk and rubbed her temples as she could feel the incoming migraine, she was in no state whatsoever to even begin to answer these questions that were popping left and right

She placed the cards back on the desk and threw herself on the bed. She'd check on Oleander tomorrow, and hopefully he'd be awakened, but now she really needed to sleep.

[At the Infirmary]

He opened his eyes and found himself in a hospital room again. Was it all just a dream? Or did that explosion with his duel disk send him back to his world? He groaned while placing a hand on his forehead. His head felt like an oversized melon, ready to burst at any moment.

Getting up from the bed, he walked to the bathroom to wash his face. Even though he just woke up, he felt absolutely drained. He flipped the switch and stared at his reflection, and something immediately stuck out, and that was his left eye, which went from crimson to green.

He closed his eyes and smacked his cheeks; maybe it was his tired mind playing some kind of trick on him, but nope the eye remained green, he took a deep breath and walked back to room, sitting on his bed he rubbed his temples.

He felt weird, like there was an itch at the back of his head or a voice urging him to do one thing: duel. He wanted to duel someone badly, and honestly, he didn't care if he lost or won; he just wanted to challenge someone and savor every single moment of the duel.

Taking a couple of deep breaths, he calmed himself down. He'd do that tomorrow. Yeah, find someone to duel with and go to town with them.

He laid himself on the mattress, stared at the ceiling, and started to count sheep. Maybe that would be enough to put his mind at ease and allow him to sleep.

"One…two…three…four…five" Oleander quietly mumbled to himself

[ Six hours later ]

"Three thousand and one... three thousand and two... three thousand and three," he groaned as the first rays of sunlight hit his face. You know what? Forget about sleeping; he'd do that later.

The door to his room opened and nurse Fontained walked in, she was wearing a lab coat over her uniform while a stethoscope hung around her neck.

"Oh! You're awake" she had genuine surprise on her face before quickly changing to a smile, she looked down at the clipboard in her hands "You suffered one nasty accident with that duel disk of yours"

"Can I go now?" Oleander spoke up, not taking his eyes off the ceiling. "I want to duel someone."

"I will just do a check up to make sure you're indeed good to go" she walked over to his bed and pulled a stool.

It took about 10 minutes for the nurse to trough procedures, but once it was all said and done he was free to go, but not before being informed that the chancellor wanted to see him.

Oleander audibly groaned after hearing that, but he figured he might get something out of it, like a brand new duel disk, perhaps.

[At the chancellor's office]

Upon entering the room, the purple-haired youth noticed how nice the place was. It was an expansive room, and on the left side were two couches sitting opposite one another; between them was an expensive-looking rug with a glass table on top of it.

On the right side was a giant screen with a display beneath it, and in the very center of the room was a giant desk made of dark oak where the chancellor himself sat, a gentle smile on his face as he motioned for the purple-haired duelist to come closer.

"Good to see you are already up and about" the older man said while nodding to himself "Feeling anything?" he enter interlaced his fingers and leaned in on his desk

"An overwhelming desire to duel someone" Oleander responded while impatiently scratching his left arm. "Question: Will I get a new duel disk?"

"Good to know you are excited to duel someone," he laughed a bit while shaking his head. "But to answer your question, a brand new duel disk was already sent to your dorm room."

"Good now, if you excuse me, I gotta get my deck and-" He was about to get up when he noticed the chancellor's raised hand.

"Actually, I'd like you to stay a bit longer so we may discuss the events that led to your duel disk destruction." The older man now had a more serious demeanor on his face as his smile faded.

Oleander proceeded to explain the events of them leaving the card shop, their encounter with Odd-Eyes Dragon, and the dragon doing something with his duel disk. Of course, he didn't mention his left eye changing color when he first woke up; that'd raise more questions.

The chancellor, for his part, just sat there quietly and listened to the whole re-telling of the events, only occasionally nodding his head while making humming sounds.

"I see" he then got up from his chair and dusted himself "Well rest easy Mr. Hemlock we will look into this matter thoroughly, you are dismissed"

Oleander bowed to the older man before quickly seeing himself out of the office, leaving Sheppard alone with his thoughts.

Duel monsters appearing out of nowhere and attacking students—are the Shadow Riders already here? No, if they were on the island, he'd know, and besides, the Sacred Beasts didn't display any sign they were awakening.

Running his hands over his bald head, he reached for his phone and dialed the chairwoman's number. It was time to tighten the academy's security.

[In the schoolyard]

When Oleander finally stepped outside of the main building he basked in the sunlight streaming down upon him, what a beautiful day for a duel.

But he then stopped. Now that he was thinking about it, why the hell did he want to duel so much? While he enjoyed a duel every once in a while, he never felt such a strong urge to do so; however, he never got to finish the train of thought because he spotted Sadie rushing in his direction, and in her arms was his Slifer Red jacket.

"Y-you are okay" She managed to say between ragged breaths "I got your things right here, I held them for you unti-" but she stopped when she looked in his eyes "Why is your eye green?"

"I wish I had an answer," he sighed while running a hand through his hair. "When I woke up, it was already like that."

"Do you think it has anything to do with yesterday?" She was a bit apprehensive at that, clutching his jacket a bit.

They spent a few moments in awkward silence before Sadie quietly extended her arms to give his jacket back. He took his jacket into his hands and unfolded it, quickly noticing how good it smelled, but what really got his attention was the left sleeve, which had been replaced with purple fabric.

"The sleeve was burn and torn pretty badly, so I asked a friend to fix it" she stated in a bit of a meek tone while shifting her gaze to the ground "I hope you like it"

"I absolutely loved it." He stated that before eagerly wearing his jacket back, he fiddled a bit with the sleeve, and to his delight, it felt smooth as silk.

"Oh, I almost forgot." He reached for the belt strapped to her leg and pulled a purple deck box, "Your deck."

"Thanks!" He said it with sudden enthusiasm as he snatched the stack of cards from her hand. "Man, I can't wait for a duel," he giggled lowly to himself.

"Well I gotta go to my room and get my new duel disk and they sent me" he rubbed his hands with glee at the tough of dueling someone

The youngsters exchanged a few more words before they went on their separate ways, with Oleander having a noticeable hurry to his step.

[ Somewhere in the Pacific Ocean]

Amidst a violent storm, a ship and its crew defiantly fought against the furious ocean. Purple lightning strikes were falling everywhere, and each time they struck the water, the ship violently rocked back and forth.

The captain was doing his very best to keep the ship from tipping over, he saw many storms during his years in the seven seas but never something like that, the storm itself felt unnatural.

But suddenly it all simply stopped, the sky was still cloaked in dark clouds that would occasionally flash purple as electricity danced on them

For a brief second, the entire crew saw a creature silhouette amongst the black clouds. It had two massive wings, a tail that ended in two blades, and its most notable characteristic spike that extended from its mawl.

The monster roared, which caused massive lighting to strike down, temporarily blinding the crew. Once they recovered their sight, the monster was gone, and not long after the weather cleared.

[Author's Notes]

Hey there, folks! It's ya boy! Mac!

And welcome to Arc TwoTM! And we are already off to an intriguing start. It seems like whatever Odd-Eyes and Starving Venom did to Oleander affected him in more than one way.

And by the looks of it, Odd-Eyes wasn't the only Heavenly Dragon to show up in this world. I wonder where the last one could be.

And yup! That will be the deal with Arc Two: Oleander getting the other Heavenly Dragons, though their presence will cause some unexpected ripple effects across the dueling world. Oh well! I'm sure everything will be fine!

Anyhow, on a more serious note, I'd like to apologize for how long it's taking to fix Chapter 2. Writing duels burns the fuck out of me, and I am not feeling very well lately. Like I said before, some personal issues caused that.

Don't forget to leave a review containing criticism and suggestions! I read all of them!

But anyhow, that's it, folks! Mac, sign out!
