A LONG TIME AGO IN ARENDELLE...

A horse as white as snow was shown to be riding deep in a dark forest with two women riding on the horse, but one of them was controlling the horse. After the horse stopped into a cave, two women came down and one of them appeared to be Ingrid along with an old friend by her side.

"I'm not sure if this is a very good idea, especially for me, Ingrid," The other woman said to her friend who was like a sister to her. "I might end up in a lot of trouble."

"It will be worth it, I promise, and I'll make sure nothing bad happens to you, Jadis," Ingrid reassured her friend, putting her hand on the other woman's shoulder. "He'll listen to us, one way or another and I promise you that."

The other woman named Jadis sighed and nodded in response.

"You do trust me, don't you?" Ingrid then asked her friend.

"Of course I do." Jadis replied.

"All right, then I better get to work before we see... HIM." Ingrid nodded.

"Do what you must then." Jadis allowed.

"Thank you." Ingrid nodded as she then knelt down, taking out a certain hat and hid it under a rock with her special magic.

Jadis stood by and waited to see what would happen next, but it was then time to move on and go see who they were planning on seeing.

Some time passed and they soon saw a certain white bearded man in a red robe who was sweeping up around his residence until he saw them coming. "I know who you are and I can be of no help to you." he then said to Ingrid as she came by first along with her friend Jadis.

"No, of course not. You're an errand boy long past his prime," Ingrid replied. "We wish to speak to the one you work for." she then demanded.

"There are many who desire an audience with the sorcerer, but he speaks only through his apprentice." Michael retorted bravely.

"Then tell him, Apprentice, we wish to make a deal." Jadis stated as bravely as she could, but not as brave as her friend Ingrid.

"The sorcerer does not make petty deals, especially with those who have succumbed to the darkness... Like you two." Michael replied.

"I think in this case, he might make a small exception. We'll see," Ingrid smirked. "We have his hat."

Michael looked wide-eyed as he put his broom away and brought out his sword, holding it against Ingrid's throat, but not piercing her skin. "You have no idea the forces you are dealing with." he then said in a warning tone of voice.

"Hmm..." Ingrid smirked as she wasn't scared, though Jadis looked concerned for her friend.

"Tell me where it is." Michael demanded.

"Oh. No. Did you think that I was foolish enough to bring it with me?" Ingrid smirked.

"Yes, of course, Apprentice," Jadis added. "The hat is hidden far away. And unless he gives us what we want, the sorcerer will never see his hat again."

Michael narrowed his eyes as he retracted his sword then. "And what is it that you so desire?" he then demanded.

"Happiness. The kind I haven't known in a long time until I met Jadis..." Ingrid explained, smiling fondly at Jadis. "Since I was a little girl, running in a field with my sisters, chasing a kite. Our love made us strong. Until it didn't. My sisters could never accept who I was because they were... Ordinary. I want a new sister, born with magic, like me."

"I'm one of the new sisters." Jadis spoke up.

"Yes..." Ingrid nodded. "My niece, Elsa, will be joining us. We need a third magical sister... A perfect match."

"And there will even be a descendant." Jadis added.

Michael narrowed his eyes thoughtfully in response. "A match like that will be extremely hard to come by. It could take time." he then told them.

"Tell the sorcerer we are very patient women," Ingrid replied. "We are willing to wait as long as it takes to find a perfect sister."

"No matter how long it takes." Jadis added.

In present day, Elwin was shown to be staring at the book he was given about his heritage, showing to be in study hall at school. "All this time I was idolizing Jack Frost and he was my father and Elsa is my mother... I just don't know how to deal with that... What can I do though?" he then muttered to himself, being alone with his thoughts, wondering what to do next.

"Elwin?" A voice suddenly asked.

Elwin was startled by that since he came in here to be alone since no one else was around and he turned around to see that it was a certain girl training to be a warrior just like her mother.

"Lonnie, what are yo doing here?" Elwin asked her. "School got out hours ago."

"I've been out all day and night looking for you. Everyone has." Lonnie said as she came to see him with a small smile.

"I told them all to stay away. I can't control my feelings and powers right now," Elwin replied. "Listen, don't worry about me. I'm gonna find a way to fix this, but until I do... You gotta go."

"No," Lonnie insisted bravely. "You shouldn't think that pulling away from people will fix your problems, please just let me help you."

"Lonnie, just wait. I..." Elwin frowned.

Lonnie came a bit closer only for Elwin to lose control of his powers and suddenly pushed her away with his magic before he cupped his mouth.

"LONNIE!" Elwin yelped as she fell to the ground next to one of the computer desks. "Lonnie, are you okay?" he then asked her softly.

"Yeah, I-I'm fine." Lonnie reassured him softly as she rubbed her neck, though she found blood trickling on her fingertips.

"Is that a cut?" Elwin asked in concern. "Lonnie, what did I do?"

"I-It's fine. I'm okay." Lonnie said to him as calmly as possible.

"I'm sorry. I'm so sorry." Elwin said as he began to back away.

"Elwin." Lonnie frowned.

"Stop! Please, don't come any closer," Elwin said, feeling emotional right now. "Just go, Lonnie, you gotta go!" he then added, though he lost control again without hurting Lonnie this time and she suddenly ran off.

Mrs. Spratt was about to knock off from school after having her second after school snack until she saw Lonnie bleeding and sighed before bringing the girl inside to examine her. Elwin panted heavily before frowning as he felt bad for what he had done to the girl he had gotten very close to recently.

"I know exactly how you feel..." Ingrid's voice said before Elwin blinked and looked over to see that he wasn't alone. "Seeing the fear in her eyes. You are out of control, but, Elwin, you're not going to hurt me. Nor should you. I'm on your side. We're family after all."

"Just leave me the hell alone." Elwin grumbled as he decided to leave the room.

"You can run, but it won't help," Ingrid advised him. "The only way this ends is you embracing who you are."

"If it means hurting people I care about, no, thanks." Elwin scoffed as he then left the classroom while hugging the book he and Elsa had found before.

"So much like Emma." Ingrid commented to herself.

Meanwhile, Rumple came into his shop. He found a lot of strange things, such as electricity crackling, a tube with bubbling liquid, a projector whirring, and there was even a capped and vested wind-up monkey that was clapping cymbals. He then smirked as he came closer and had a sneaking suspicion. "If you're trying to hide from me, Miss Swan and young Elwin, you're doing a poor job." he then said with a small smirk.

"We're not hiding from you," Emma said as she came out along with Elwin from the backroom. "We're hiding from everyone else."

"We're quite a pair, Mr. Gold." Elwin added.

"Ah. So Belle tells me," Rumple nodded. "She was watching Baby Leo all night and your friends have been missing you, young Elwin, especially my Benjamin and Gabrielle."

"While my family was searching for me, I know," Emma said softly. "My magic is hurting people, Gold... People I love."

"My magic has been unpredictable too, sir," Elwin added. "We need you to help us control it."

"What makes you think I'm your best option?" Rumple asked them curiously.

"Because I... Hurt Henry." Emma confessed.

"And I hurt Lonnie." Elwin added softly.

"What?" Rumple frowned in concern.

"I... They're okay, but it was just luck. You're probably the only person who's safe around us right now," Emma replied. "We need you to help before we hurt anybody else."

"There's only one way to help with this affliction." Rumple admitted.

"Well, just fine."

"Do it." Elwin added urgently.

"You haven't heard what I have to say." Rumple reminded them.

"I don't care. My son is in pain because of me," Emma insisted. "Just fix it."

"And one of my best friends around here." Elwin added.

Rumple nodded before he took out a scrap of paper and opened it up to show some writing on it. "This... is an ancient spell. It's designed to take away light magic from those who choose to part with it, but the effect would be permanent." he then explained to them.

"Does that mean we'd both lose our magic?" Elwin asked.

"Yes." Rumple nodded and confirmed.

"But then we'd be-" Emma began to say.

"Ordinary," Rumple finished. "But... Your magic would no longer hurt the ones you love, and you would be able to embrace your son and girlfriend." he then added.

"...Lonnie isn't my girlfriend." Elwin replied before blushing.

"That's not what Amalie Bonfamille has been telling me." Rumple said quietly o himself.

"Do it." Emma urged him.

"Well, unfortunately, Savior Magic doesn't go quietly. Though the spell won't hurt you, it will destroy almost everything else within a city block," Rumple explained. "That would make for quite a macabre sight at Granny's, don't you think?" he then added.

"So let's find somewhere else out in the woods." Emma suggested.

"As you wish. I think I know... Just the spot," Rumple said before he brought out a map and then circled a spot with a pencil, showing it to them. "Here... Is an abandoned manor. Right here. You meet me here at sundown. And I'll have everything prepared."

"Thanks, Gold." Emma said, sounding relieved.

"Please don't tell anyone we were here." Elwin added.

"Don't worry about me, dearies," Rumple smirked. "It'll be our little secret."

"Well, thanks, Mr. Gold," Elwin said with a small smile. "I'm a little unsure about this, but I guess it can't be that bad, right?"

"You won't know until the time comes." Rumple reassured him.

In the meantime, Will was drinking some coffee at Granny's Diner until Robin joined him and took the mug away from the former Merry Man. "Hands off. That's me lunch and dinner." he then complained to his former boss.

"Sorry, friend, but I need to pick your brain and I need you sober as Friar Tuck on a Sunday when I do it." Robin replied urgently.

"I'm not sure Sunday's ever made any difference for that man," Will smirked. "What's happening?" he then asked.

"Regina needs our help," Robin explained before he took out a certain storybook that the town of Storybrooke knew all too well by this point. "This book."

"Funny. You were never much the reading sort, Robin." Will pointed out.

"It's not mine. I stole it." Robin explained wearily.

"Will: Ah, well, that sounds more like you," Will smirked. "So, what's so important about a book?"

"Whoever wrote this imbued it with magical powers... Powers that could change Regina's future for the better," Robin explained. "We need to figure out who did this."

"Information about the writer of a magical book," Will remarked thoughtfully before he looked around. "I might just have an idea." he then admitted.

"Excellent." Robin approved.

"But I'm gonna need me lunch and dinner back." Will demanded.

Robin scoffed and pushed back over the coffee just as Goldie could be shown walking down the street, catching his attention briefly.

"See, you ain't been in this town as long as I have. There wasn't always magic, but when it came, it started at one place: the clock tower," Will explained. "See, for 28 years, them hands didn't move. Time stood still. Then one day, tick-tock, it bloody did."

"I'm afraid you've lost me, Will," Robin shook his head. "I understand the significance of the magical clock, but what's that got to do with this book or its author?"

"Do you know what's under that magical clock tower?" Will asked rhetorically.

"No." Robin admitted.

"A library." Will replied.

Robin looked wide-eyed and then looked intrigued. "We'll have to get in and I know someone who's good at breaking and entering." he then said.

"I doubt that Lotus lady will want me interracting with that kid Jay for a while." Will replied.

"Not him..." Robin said before looking out the window.

Goldie was shown to be walking down the street, minding her own business until she flinched as she heard her name shouted right behind her.

"GOLDIE!"

"Jeez Louise, Robin, you scared me to death!" Goldie complained as she turned around and faced her brother. "I was just dropping off Koda at a playmate's house!"

"Well, since you're not busy, now you can help us." Robin remarked.

"Us?" Goldie asked, raising an eyebrow.

"Will is coming with me to the library and you're coming with us." Robin explained.

"I am?" Goldie then asked.

"Yes, you are," Robin nodded. "I may be The Prince of Thieves, but you're The Princess of Breaking and Entering."

"Oh, you do that one time and I swear that's all anyone ever knows about you," Goldie rolled her eyes. "I mean has that Alice girl have ever been to other places besides Wonderland?"

"Funny you should mention Wonderland," Will commented as he suddenly came out of the diner after Robin. "I can't tell you much about Alice, though I've been able to meet and bond with The Red Queen and a whole lot of other things like The Jabberwock-"

"Will, Will, we don't have time for your Wonderland stories, okay?" Robin interrupted him. "We have work to do right now and it involves my sister."

"Right this very moment?" Goldie asked with wide eyes.

"Yes, the sooner the better," Robin nodded. "We need to get to the library because Will says there's something important there that we'll need to help Regina."

"I think you fancy The Evil Queen, Big Brother." Goldie smirked at that.

"You're not the only one." Will smirked back in agreement.

"You're both very funny, now come on, let's get moving." Robin rolled his eyes and then suggested.

"I don't know if I can go right now, I, uh... I have something to do back home." Goldie then said nervously.

"What's the rush?" Robin asked. "You just said you dropped off Koda at a playmate's house."

"Well, yes, I did say that, but, uh, I just need to go home right now because, uh, the stove is on." Goldie then said nervously.

"You left the stove on before you went out?" Will asked suspiciously. "Not a very good example for Koda."

"Nor Roland since we're going to be living in this kind of world from now on," Robin added firmly. "Goldie, what are you hiding?"

"Hiding? I'm not hiding anything!" Goldie grinned bashfully.

"Goldie..."

"Honest, I'm not, I'm not guilty at all!"

"Gilda Locksley..."

"I'm just very busy, okay?" Goldie replied as she tried to stay strong.

"Well, whatever it is, it can wait, you need to help your big brother now, okay?" Robin said to her, trying to take charge as usual. "I promise you that I will make it up to and then you can go home after you help us."

"No one's waiting for you at home right now anyway." Will added.

Goldie bit her lip as she wanted that to be true, but it obviously wasn't but she knew she couldn't tell them the truth right now. "All right, I'll come help you guys." she then sighed and relented.

"Good," Robin nodded before he smiled. "Now was that so hard?"

"Kinda, like Papa's old chair which was too soft." Goldie muttered quietly.

And so, Will and Robin began to head to the library right away.

"I'm sorry about this, Neal." Goldie whispered to herself as she went after them to avoid suspicion.

Soon, they made it to the library as Goldie began to pick the lock with her bobby pin and the door soon opened.

"I've tried this one before. Probably easier when I'm not drunk and getting punched," Will began to monologue to himself. "It's a pin tumbler with six pins. Not the easiest. With a bit of luck and a light touch, the old will Scarlet-"

"Hey, Will! You coming or what?" Goldie called as she and Robin already made it inside.

Will blinked with wide eyes. "On the other hand..." he then said to himself before following them in.

"That friend of yours, Robin." Goldie deadpanned slightly.

"Yeah, I know." Robin admitted and agreed as they went inside after that.

In the meantime, Mary Margaret, David, Elsa, Killian, and Harry went back to the loft.

"You'd think a big yellow driving machine would be easier to find." Elsa commented.

"One would think." Harry added and agreed.

"Perhaps she doesn't want to be found, since, you know, that's what she bloody told us." Killian reminded the rest of them.

"Well, the good news is thanks to the ice wall, Emma can't leave town." David remarked.

"The longer she isolates herself, the worse it'll get," Elsa advised them. "Her magic will just keep spiraling."

"Elsa's right. This was a bad idea coming home," Mary Margaret agreed, sounding emotional all of a sudden. "We should still be out there searching.

"Hey, this isn't your fault. It isn't," David said, trying to reassure his wife and cheer her up. "We'll find Emma, but we've been searching all night. Everyone's exhausted, yourself included. So we refuel, we regroup. And we go out, and we find our daughter, okay?" he then suggested calmly.

"Okay." Mary Margaret nodded.

Henry then suddenly came into the room. "You don't have to look anymore." he then told the adults.

"Kid, where'd you come from?" Harry asked. "I thought the others said you were upstairs and asleep."

"He's right," Mary Margaret added. "We told you to stay here."

"What happened?" David asked their grandson.

"I snuck out, okay?" Henry admitted. "I'm sorry, but I found her."

"How is she?" Mary Margaret then asked.

"Is she okay? Is she hurt?" David added.

"She's out in the woods," Henry explained, showing his small scar. "I thought I could help calm her down, but when I showed up, it just made things worse."

"Come with me. I'll clean you up in the bathroom." Mary Margaret offered as she came to her grandson calmly and brought him to the bathroom.

"That's a pretty bad scrape, though I've had worse." Harry commented to Henry.

"Rufio?" Henry guessed.

"Aye," Harry nodded. "Pretty much second in command in Neverland back in my day when I ran away from home until Dad stepped in and saved me even if it meant killing Rufio." he then added.

"Deep." Henry commented as he and Mary Margaret went off to the bathroom.

"So, is this good or bad?" Harry then wondered. "Since Henry tried to help, but it led to an injury?"

"This is bad news," David explained. "If anyone can calm her down, it's Henry."

"Okay, that does sound bad." Harry admitted.

"When your powers are out of control, everything's upside down," Elsa suggested. "You don't want to be anywhere near the people you care about."

"Wonderful. Well, shall we send Sneezy after her, then? Or Happy?" Killian scoffed in response. "Which is the dwarf she despises?"

"You seem like you've been there before yourself." Harry commented to Elsa.

"Yes, as a matter of fact, I have," Elsa admitted. "I was so scared that I would hurt Anna until I finally realized you can't run away from the people who love you because, in the end, they're the only ones who can help you."

"We're going to need to put some ice on that, but you should be fine soon." Mary Margaret said as she left the bathroom with Henry.

"Thanks, Grandma." Henry replied softly.

"Mind if I help?" Elsa offered.

"You wanna help out?" Mary Margaret asked.

"I might as well, besides, I might know the perfect tool you guys need to help Henry feel better." Elsa reassured with a small smile.

"Well... Thank you, Elsa," Mary Margaret said with a small smile back. "We appreciate it at least."

"Of course." Elsa nodded as she came to go upstairs with Henry while David and Mary Margaret waited downstairs.

After a little while, Elsa soon came back down after checking on Henry for them.

"How is he?" Mary Margaret asked.

"I gave him enough ice for the week," Elsa explained with a small smile. "It should help with the swelling."

"No. How is he?" Mary Margaret then emphasized, meaning for Henry internally rather than externally.

"Upset," Elsa sighed and explained a bit more. "I just wanted him to understand Emma's magic is tied to her emotions, like mine. The reason she hurt him is because she was trying so hard not to hurt him. It sounds very convoluted when I try to explain it now."

"No, no. Um... It makes perfect sense." Mary Margaret reassured her.

"Where's Henry?" Regina asked as she suddenly burst into the room. "Is he okay?"

"Where did you come from?" Harry asked Regina.

"Nothing for you to worry about, now about Henry?" Regina replied and then reminded them why she was here.

"He's fine. He's upstairs," David replied. "We've been trying to call you all night."

"Well, I'm sorry if I don't respond to your every summons! Though I did bring that locator potion you wanted. Maybe next time, try leading with, 'thank you'," Regina scoffed as she brought out a vial and slammed it down on the table, intriguing Elsa curiously. "Now, may I see my son, please?"

"You might want to finish buttoning your shirt first." Mary Margaret suggested.

Regina blushed and covered up her shirt since her chest was nearly fully visible until she covered herself. "Oh. Well, I was in a rush to get here." she then explained, sounding a little bashful.

Mary Margaret hid a small smirk, unable to help it.

"A locator potion. How does this work, exactly?" Elsa remarked and wondered.

"We just pour it over anything that belonged to Emma." David explained.

"How about this?" Harry asked, seeing a scarf on the map his father was looking over.

"That could work." David nodded as he accepted the scarf until they all heard the ringing of a phone.

Mary Margaret took her phone and checked it. "It's her." she then said before answering the phone urgently.

"Hey, Mom. It's me. Did Henry come home?

"Oh, yes, yes. No, he's fine," Mary Margaret said, trying to calm down while talking on the phone since her daughter just disappeared on her like she did. "Emma, I am so sorry about what happened yesterday. I don't want you to ever think that we are afraid of you."

"Don't worry. It doesn't matter." Emma reassured her mother.

"No, of course it matters." Mary Margaret reassured.

"This is all gonna be over soon," Emma reassured her mother. "I just needed to tell you that I'm okay. I-I have a way to fix everything. Elwin is here with me and we both have an idea."

Elwin was shown to be near the pond with Emma and was smiling softly at the harmless ducks with their little ducklings.

"Emma, no, wait!" Mary Margaret then said only for Emma to hang up suddenly.

"What did she say?" David asked in concern.

"She said she and Elwin are going to get rid of her magic... Forever." Mary Margaret explained.

"Elwin is with her?" David asked.

"Sure sounds like it." Mary Margaret nodded.

"How is that even possible?" Elsa wondered. "And why would Elwin do that?"

"She said it will all be over soon and she can't wait to be home for a cocoa with cinnamon." Mary Margaret explained softly.

"Did she say anything about the method?" Killian asked. "If it was a spell or... A magic object of some kind?"

"Who cares how she's doing it? That's not what matters here." David scoffed.

"And Elwin wants to destroy who he's meant to be as a Snow Prince." Elsa added with a frown.

"No, you're absolutely right. I wonder if she tried to call me?" Killian remarked and went to grab his phone from his pants or jacket pocket, though he didn't feel anything. "Bloody hell. I left my talking phone in the back of your truck." he then guessed.

"It's just called a phone." David rolled his eyes.

"What an impractical name," Killian replied as he left the room suddenly. "I'll be back in two shakes."

The others glanced around and Harry poked his head out the door when Killian thought he had closed it behind him.

"Emma, it's Killian. Call me right away, or you may never make it home for cinnamon and cocoa... Ever," Killian said, making a call on his phone which wasn't lost after all. "Dammit, Swan. Don't tell me you trusted The Crocodile." he then grumbled after hanging up.

Harry looked a bit wide-eyed at that before he went after his father, though was planning on going somewhere else.

"Son, I'll be right back, I don't need help to look for that device." Killian said to his son.

"Oh, yes, I know, but I think I wanna go out and maybe see some friends." Harry explained bashfully.

Killian glanced at Harry, though he could tell that his son wasn't exactly lying, so he nodded. "Very well, Harry, I'll see you later then." he said.

"See you later, Dad." Harry added.

Killian gave a small smile as Harry smiled back and soon, the pirate father and son stepped outside, but went their separate ways.

"Now, if I were to be the son of The Crocodile, where would I be?" Harry pondered to himself.

David and Mary Margaret sat alone together, looking through old pictures that they did have with Emma since they missed a lifetime with her.

"Hmm. I've always liked that picture," David smiled at one photograph. "Emma has your eyes."

"She has your smile," Mary Margaret smiled back. "Do you remember when you took it?"

"How could I forget? That was the party we had at Granny's after Emma helped us go up against..." David recollected until he trailed off and tried to remember himself. "Pan or Anton the Giant?"

"Try Cora." Mary Margaret clarified.

"Oh. We invited Happy to that?" David said and then wondered.

"I guess it's easy to lose track," Mary Margaret reassured him. "She has saved Storybrooke a lot."

"Mm-hmm. I'm worried about her, too, but Emma is tough," David agreed. "She'll be fine."

"What if she's making a mistake? Because of us," Mary Margaret said with a small frown. "Shouldn't we be out there trying to convince her not to give up her magic?"

"Well, it's her choice, not ours," David remarked. "She knows we support her, no matter what, and if losing her magic is what she wants, well... Maybe it's not such a bad thing."

"But it's part of who she is... A Savior. I mean, she was born this way... A hero," Mary Margaret reminded him. "So isn't embracing that the right thing?"

"Well, if The Snow Queen is doing all this because of Emma's power, maybe... Getting rid of it is the heroic thing," David replied and then refreshed his wife on how this story all started. "Do you remember the night Emma was born? Before we put her in the wardrobe, you said we had to give her her best chance. Maybe now her best chance is for her to be... Normal."

Elsa listened in on the conversation and soon decided to use the potion on Emma's scarf and left the loft with it to find both Emma and her estranged son.
