Dino Thunder: Chemical Beast!

Chapter 11: Everything explained.

It took a while to get the blood on her cleaned off and dress herself. Amelia was so dazed as she mopped the floor that not even Stevie's tiny whines were noticed. Thanks to Zeltrax and Elsa helping me dispose of all the corpses, the least I can do is clean the bloodied floors. With the mop head being dipped and squished into a bucket of soapy water, the depression she felt weighed on top of her usually energetic self.

"Why did it have to come to that?" In a whisper, she asked herself and plopped the mop head back to the floor to continue. "I'm unsightly. I'm ugly. I didn't want to add more to it... It's bad enough my scars are unattractive and that I can't fix my hair to appear more kept, but now I have my transformation issue in the way," Again, she spoke to no one in particular. "Here I am... I am almost thirty years old and I still don't have a boyfriend. Not like it'd ever get one anyway. Who would want to look at such an ugly lady like me?" Her whispers were hardly audible, for she recalled her past bullies criticizing and stealing her glasses or pieces of clothing.

How some groups of girls during her high school years would snicker and laugh each time she'd arrive at the front doors. Moments when she'd wait outside the girl's bathroom and wait for it to be cleared so she could go in, in fear of being shoved into a stall and blocked off by a bully to make her tardy on purpose.

Other memories of how men would pick on her and shove her into her locker, or ask her out to mess with her. Tease her, get her hopes up, cheat on her, it tore her apart during those days, and thinking back on them now only made her realize that not much has changed.

Taking a deep breath, in and out, the mop's handle was leaned against the wall closest to her. With a couple of gentle slaps to her cheeks and rubbing them with her palms, a smile was forced. "Get it together, Amelia! The past is the past and whether you feel lonely or not, you can't let it control you! Loneliness can be a burden but it can also be freedom.~ For instance... I can freely flirt and not expect anyone to feel anything for me! No one would want to be with a crazy and ugly chick like me, hahaha!" As she laughed and reassured herself, her hand wiped a stray tear before she got to work on the floor again.

Countless times she let her mind wander to places regarding Mesogog. Imagining him trying to drink through a straw to suck up a smoothie, to watching him swimming in a pool to save her from drowning. His eyes trained on her the whole time, it made her face turn red from the imagery and distracted her so much that she nearly slipped on the floor.

"Whoa!" Thanks to her hand pressing against the wall, she corrected her footing to refrain from falling, and with a sigh, giggles left her. "That was close! Oh- look! I'm almost done!" Cheerfully, she beamed and scanned her eyes over the now shiny floor that took roughly an hour or two to clean.

Quite literally, she was at the door in front of the lab room, rung out the mop head, and finished up the last bit. "Thanks to a few trips of renewing the water, the floor doesn't look red anymore!~" Amelia did her best to keep a positive attitude and clapped at her success. However, when the doors next to her opened, a very grumpy Mesogog halted next to her bucket and stared at her. Straight away, the redhead's expression fell to an awkward one before she averted her gaze from his golden ones.

Crap- crap, that's right... I was supposed to tell him everything. He was probably waiting for me to calm down, get dressed, and finish cleaning up. I overheard him minutes ago yelling at Elsa and Zeltrax... I think it was over the White Ranger again. Ah, so this must be Episode fourteen! So- that means, this is the beginning of the episode. This also means, his scene just finished and now he's leaving, probably too... Talk to... Me. Embarrassment began to show on her face when she kept her eyes on the hall, to pretend she was checking for uncleanliness.

"Explain... I have some time," Despite the growl in his voice, which she assumed was from his anger at dealing with his minions, she could tell his patience was thin right now.

"Okie-dokie," It was hard to keep her smile up, but she tugged on his wrist regardless and guided him away from the lab door. Surprisingly he followed and not one hesitant movement from him occurred, it was as though he approved of being dragged.

Into his Throne Room, she watched him sit down and was about to sit on the floor when she saw his claw gesture to the step closest to his seat. "Sit," There was an aggravated tone to him, which confused her to no end.

"No, no, it's okay! I'll just pull up a chair..." Her blue eyes scanned the surrounding lab in search of one but found none. "Somewhere- over the nonexistent rainbow," She was too busy looking to notice him face-palming and him standing from his seat, that was until she squeaked upon his claws around her wrist. He had walked over to her and dragged her to the steps. There next to his feet, she was forced to sit down, much to her annoyance, a pout on her lips proved it, and the fold of her arms. "No need to be so rude.~" Playfully she spat, sat like a lady on the step with a leg over a knee, and ignored him when he sat in his seat again.

"Tell me. You will sit there and explain!" Amelia had no idea what was going on in his head right now because his gaze on her was so focused and intense that she wanted to squeal aloud to fangirl over him.

Regardless of her situation, her happy facade dropped the second she opened her mouth to speak. She was reluctant to do so, given the possibility of him taking advantage or risking the storyline. "In my world- your world is fiction. I grew up watching this world's episodes, and series, and binged them as an adult too. I studied and learned a lot about you, Elsa, Zeltrax, and the Power Rangers," As she explained, she gulped at the thought of him possibly lashing out at her or getting angry but he didn't and surprisingly stayed quiet. "But... I had to hide all of that as an adult. So, when I made my portal device, I stashed away disks on many series I enjoyed and planned to use them to escape my world," There was a short pause during her hesitant explanation, and didn't peek at him at all.

"Ace Solar wanted me to join his facility, but a year ago was when signs of my DNA issue showed. That was when he started to experiment on me. It took me a year to escape, so I wanted to make sure that if I escaped, it'd be in a laboratory of some sort to help me defend myself against them. Besides, I picked your lab because I always wanted to see it in person and... Meet you in person," Just as she took a breath to give herself a minute, Mesogog intervened with questions.

"Then your act when you arrived, was to dissolve any potential suspicion we may have had. Which did not work. How are we fiction? How is it possible to enter a world that was made to entertain? Why were you so eager to meet me in particular and not the Power Rangers?" There it was, one of his few questions that caught her attention and caused her to hide a blush.

"This World is a television series and a website called Wikipedia, in my world, has loads of information on it. My device can take any coordinates a person can think of, say... If you needed to pee, you could envision your bathroom and it will send you there," For a moment, she paused, and tried so hard to avoid answering his latter question that was until he asked her again.

"Why me and not the Power Rangers?" There was a hint of impatience in his voice and she heard it, the faint rustle of his clothes told her that he leaned closer to tower over her head.

"B- Because... I can... Relate to you in many different ways," Amelia's cheeks burned, for she turned her body away from his intense gaze to avoid him possibly seeing her face. And that's not all! He's my childhood crush! But I can't tell him that! He wouldn't feel anything for me anyway, so it's pointless to mention it. Her voice was weak when she explained that bit, purely embarrassed from having no choice but to answer.

"How could you possibly relate to me? You know nothing..." Blue eyes stayed averted from him but she could hear how he cut himself off due to recalling that she knew him, from how much information over his world that she had. "You know a lot... About me. Then, you know about how I was created. If that is the case, how can you relate to me... When I wasn't made by normal means?" Finally, she could hear his tone softening and seeming more curious than angry. The faint rustle of his clothes and the subtle movement of his feet told her he leaned back in his seat.

"It's not how you were made... It's how you view the world and how you were an experiment. To me, humans have overpopulated this planet and you want to bring back the dinosaurs, so we sort of go hand-in-hand with our views. I was experimented on and I was an outcast to most of my peers. You know- being alone most of your life can be bad for one's emotional health," A faint giggle left her lips when she mentioned that part before she continued. "To be fair, you're the first person that has ever managed to tolerate me and not wanted to shove me in a box to make me shut up," There was some pain in her words as she recalled other employees at the Facility giving her scowls, disgusted expressions, and whispering about her behind her back. Especially the part when she remembered a guy stuffing her in a metal crate to supposedly throw a surprise party and ditched her there as a sick joke.

Slowly, looking up at him, she saw his head leaning back and staring at the ceiling deep in thought. Isn't he supposed to tell me to stop telling him my sob story and get to the point? He normally wouldn't care about this stuff, I think. He doesn't seem the type, given what the Wiki said about his personality. Expectation reflected in her blue eyes, for she found herself staring at him longer than she meant to and saw his gaze drift back to her. "Sorry!" As fast as she could her head whipped away and used a finger to adjust her more broken glasses.

"I am the first... Is it safe to assume, that no one outside of the Facility, knows of your transformation secret?" Questioned the beast, for his head tilted to look at her and for once there was genuine curiosity with little to no malice behind it.

She saw it in his eyes but nodded, and smiled. "I kept it well hidden. It's bad enough that I'm butt-ugly and that no one likes me!~ Why would I want to show something so unappealing, and that could have me be captured by the government?" Again, giggles escaped, however, it was accompanied by a sad smile that tried to seem convincing. There was a long pause, so when she viewed him again there was a distant look in his eyes that she could've sworn had anger in them or something around those lines.

"I want to fix your issue," As though what she said flew past his head, or so she thinks, he stood from his seat and marched down a couple of steps from his Throne.

What? Fix my issue? My transformation issue? Confusion settled on her heart at that moment and it was as if he read her mind, for he turned to face her with his hands behind his back.

"You took in a little bit of Raptor DNA and it put you into a primal state of mind. There needs to be a balance," explained the dino man, as he studied her from the small distance when she stood from the steps. "I want some of your blood as samples to play around with. If I can make it to where you are in your right mind, while you're in a different form, you will be able to accept that part of you and use it!" His head moved about when he talked, a prehistoric habit of his that he most likely hadn't noticed.

Blue eyes squinted at the beast with folded arms, she knew there was an ulterior motive. "Suspicious...~" When she smirked and took a step closer, his head tilted curiously toward her before she continued. "Mr. Mesogog. Known to be sadistic, evil, sinister, manipulative, cold-hearted, and probably later on becoming narcissistic due to his incredible amount of confidence!~ You must think I'm stupid enough to believe that you're wanting to do this for lil' ol' me!~ Come on, you and I both know that you just want to satisfy your scientific curiosity and possibly manipulate me into using my talent later, against the Power Rangers," It was as though she were spot on. Leaning over with a scolding finger and a hand on her hip, she explained and saw his jaw part in astonishment. "Am I wrong?" Now with both hands on her hips, it was her turn to cock her head to the side and remained leaned over.

"No. You're not. It's odd how you can assume such things and be accurate. But then again, you did not lie about what you told me moments ago," Growling lowly, there was a clear sign that he was annoyed by her statement and it hurt his pride having to admit that. "Then you must know how I think. Which is rare, because not many do," Out of the Throne Room, Amelia watched him leave and stood there with knitted brows.

"Yay! That means I'm special!" For a second, before he left, she could've sworn he covered his face with his claws on his way out and it made her giggle.

~~~~
I'm the first to tolerate her? She is manageable, she is useful, smart... Brave. And... Mesogog pondered and trailed for a moment as he wandered through the hall back to the lab. He couldn't get the image of her on top of him, out of his head. The amount of pain in her eyes compared to the facade he finally realized she puts up every day, he knew she was suffering. All of the scars he took a mental note of, what she explained to him, and what he'd observed so far, there was a kind of strength to her that wasn't physical. Strong. He finished and ignored the redhead who strode along, mumbling things to herself that he didn't care to acknowledge. He thought long and hard about what she said in the Throne Room.
Now it all makes sense. She knew about our world from the start. She knows about everyone in this world and our personalities, our pasts, our future that is yet to come, our powers and abilities. That day when she ate with me... She said that I would take advantage of her if she told me what she knew. That I would try to change the fate of our world if I had information about my future. I am finally getting the answers I wanted. Her behavior is due to painful experimentation and torture. She is socially awkward because she lacks experience and is shunned a lot by humans. She is talkative around me, Elsa, and Zeltrax, because we tolerate her, unlike others in her world. Over and over in his mind, he contemplated her behavior and the answers he was given. From day one to now, he put the puzzle pieces together and finally concluded, that she was heavily mistreated and was seen as nothing but a plaything to the Facility members.
She should be enraged... She should be seeking vengeance, or have the need or want to destroy Ace Solar and his Facility. Why is she holding it in? Her darkness, she needs to accept it and let it out so that they will leave her alone. Dr. Ray needs to exact destruction and bring them down, but why does she hold back? She has what she needs to end them! Her talent... Her power to transform could end their pathetic Facility easily, unless... She knows that she's not strong enough to handle them alone. Again, he thought, and for some strange reason, the image of her prehistoric features returned to the forefront of his mind. Like a plague, he can't seem to shake off, or like an image, he can't seem to shove into the recesses of his mind. The scars on her body, and the pain in her eyes, proved what was hidden beneath layers of her joyous smiles and laughter. He saw all of her, her true beauty that he didn't realize he liked.
When he was about to turn a corner, the mop bucket close to the lab doors was still there, and he grabbed her by the arm to yank her out of the way when he saw her about to run into it. "H- Hey! Oh- thanks!" Confusion tugged at his mind when he realized what he had done and shook his head, no answer was given to her.
Why did I do that? Red claws lifted close to the side of his face in an attempt to hide any potential signs of embarrassment. It was unlike him to do that, to save her from an accident that he'd normally prefer to witness and find amusement in. Nonetheless, he entered the room and saw his two pawns standing around.
Upon his entry, they froze and stood stiff as if they were prepared for the worst; which in his case they better be. Just seeing them was proof, that they failed to ambush the White Ranger, he didn't want or need any of their excuses. As he walked along past their backsides, a lot of his temper was being held back due to Amelia being nearby. "You two are miserable failures. You'll never be able to capture the White Ranger," He saw their attempts to be nothing but useless, a waste of effort, only until Elsa chose to try and explain.
"In his Ranger form, no. But- if we can find him in his human form, we might have a chance," Elsa explained, to which Mesogog heard Amelia step around them to peek past his arm and look at the device the goth worked on.
"Mr. Mesogog? Where's Buzzy Bee?" Concern could be heard in her tone, he, Zeltrax, and Elsa all looked over at her. Of course, Mesogog couldn't help but notice the subtle indication of fear when they stepped away from her for a second.
"It was... Paralyzed," The beast spoke, followed by Elsa who chose to finish his sentence for him.
"And was killed by laser shots," As if it was a touchy subject, the goth's brown eyes which were clouded with unease, returned to the device and continued to tap buttons.
"What?! My Buzzy Bee?! Not my Buzzy!" Flat onto a table, for once, Mesogog flinched when she dropped her head onto the surface and whined. "My poor little Buzzy... It was my very first Geno-Randomizer beast," Hearing her pathetic cries and whines and watching her crouch so she could continue to rest her head on the table, made amusement glint in his eyes.
"You could always make another one," Zeltrax's arms that folded weren't noticed by the Beast, for he was being entertained by Amelia's childish behavior.
"But it won't be the same! Buzzy was so adorable with its dead, eyeless stare! It was so quiet, too!" Slowly but surely, Mesogog watched her sink to the floor and scoot close to his feet with a pout.
"Amelia. Get off of the floor, you are being ridiculous!" The last word came out with an exhale, an attempt to scare her or show his agitation. Everyone froze, even he did, upon what he called her. Although, being a master of composure, he did his best to not show much emotion as he used his claws to adjust the collar of his shirt. Yes, finally, Mesogog used her first name and stepped out of formality.
The said redhead blinked curiously at him, confusion set in her eyes as she stood back up and stared at him. "Maybe so- but it was my first time receiving something from your Randomizer! Buzzy was special.~" He watched her poke his shoulder and dig it a little into his sleeve, the smirk that played on her lips turned into a full smile.
Why is she smiling? She confuses me. The shake of his head and grumble proved his annoyance. However, that didn't stop his blown-up ego from making his jaw slack to form his version of a smirk, over her statement of his Geno-Randomzier. He and Zeltrax walked away to be somewhere else in the lab.
~~~~

"I should have expected that! She ripped my men apart! That monstrous, inhuman redhead! I should've known she would resort to that- but I didn't consider that she'd be willing to risk their lives to do so!" Ace fumed as he wandered back and forth in his office.

"I was right when I assumed she'd use his dinosaur DNA to thicken her skin to defend herself! Corner an animal and it will bite! Hahaha!" He was beginning to go mad with her genius. But there was one thing he knew that only a select few of his Facility members did and that was something he planned to use against her, should the time come. "She's not even human... So why do I bother with pronouns? It... Is nothing, but an ingredient," As he opened his office door, down the hall he strode and halted at the lengthy glass window that exposed a lab from below. His dark eyes watched a man lay on the table clad in a simple gown, held down by straps that he knew not even Amelia could break through.

There was no sound, only the sight of the guy writhing in pain when a doctor stuck him with a needle. He could see the many veins in his skin turn yellow and the guy's eyes flash green until his complexion turned pale. There was no movement now, nor any care on Ace's face when he saw the man die before his eyes. He watched a doctor erase the guy's name off of their holographic pad that stemmed from a tiny device in their hands.

"No one will be as successful as Amelia. It's the best specimen, ever... Created," The scowl on his lips and the click of his tongue, made his annoyance known before he trotted past the window and the many padded rooms.

"Please! No more!" One guy's words begged as Ace passed by a room. "Just let me die!" There was a woman's cry for mercy when he walked past another, to which he ignored, and adjusted the collar of his trench coat. Others cried and banged on the doors when his shadow cast over their tiny windows, to him their voices were like everyday white noise. He could easily drown them out and sleep through the night, knowing what he was hoping to achieve would come to pass.

"Don't worry. Earth will still be here... You all will just be too stupid to notice, once you've been turned into hybrid creatures," His mumbles went unheard, for he opened the door at the end of the hall and came face to face with a tall Cyborg made of shiny silver metal. Its bright, icy blue, cybernetic eyes were as uncaring as his dark ones. "Ah, there you are. I take it- your nightly patrols have ended and you're off to recharge?" With a lift of his brow, he watched its head nod. Regardless of its femininity, its curvature that indicated a female, and its slender five-foot and eight-inch frame, he still referred to the Cyborg as it.

"Good. Your upgrades came out nicely. A lot of my men were slaughtered no thanks to Amelia, so expect you to do well on your part when we return to capture it. Mesogog has a Cyborg of his own, you'll need to hold it off while I take care of that annoying redhead, before she transforms again. I'm still waiting on some recruits though. Until then, continue your scheduled patrols," His words were authoritative, and absolute, when he saw the Cyborg nod again and walk away, he had to move from the door.

Past him, he watched two guards go into a padded room and stun the next test subject with a tranquilizer, before dragging them out and into the lower lab. "We won't get anywhere with these," The shake of his head and sigh that escaped, were proof of his disappointment.

~~~~
"Master! It worked!" Elsa's yell caught everyone's attention as she tapped at the device more and saw its current location. "I have him! The White Ranger in human form!" A tell-tale smirk played on her lips, most likely relieved for the success.
Unfortunately the device and such had to be moved to the Throne Room since Mesogog wanted to sit to ponder for a while. Most likely to keep an eye on Elsa to make sure she stayed on her toes and kept with her task.
As if on cue, the beast rose from his seat, and anger fueled him. "Tyrannodrones! Capture him, immediately!" It was as if he prepared for this moment, for he whipped his head to the side to see them all hunched over ready to pounce, and used an invisiportal to send them off.
Amelia, on the other hand, stood idly by to watch the display and scooted close to his side to tug on his sleeve. I need to pee! She could feel her bladder screaming and felt as if it were about to burst. Seeing him look at her with his prehistoric turn and lift of his arm, she made gestures towards the door.
"What is it?" He certainly was not in the mood for charades, she could tell, so she decided to just straight-up say it.
"I have to pee. Just letting you know where I'm going!~" There was almost a skip in her step when she jogged out of the room. The redhead wasn't aware of the beast following her, eyeing her, and growling irritably.
However, the moment she stepped out into the hall, he pushed past her to get ahead and it made her laugh. "Hahaha! What? Do you have to go too? I guess big baddies like you, have to take a dump.~" She almost wheezed at the image of Mesogog drinking too much liquid and doing the Pee dance, while giving out his commands. Her comment did little to stop him, for she followed him and not too far ahead he entered the bathroom that had a singular door, which opened upon his approach.
When it closed, she couldn't help but bust out laughing at his antics. Slumping against the wall and sliding down, her face was beginning to turn red. It wasn't long, maybe five minutes when her heavy laughter was nothing more than a few chuckles.
The moment she saw him in her peripherals, she jumped and saw his leaned posture with his claws behind his back. His golden gaze was trained on her exhausted self, which brought up another fit of laughter when she noticed his annoyance. "Hahahahaha! I'm sorry! Hahahaha! I imagined you really needing to pee while giving out orders, I couldn't hold it in!" Once again, her face turned red. She had to hold her stomach from how hard she cracked, it was enough to make her fall onto her side and curl up.
"I hope you choke," He finally got the idea. The image, of him doing the Pee dance and sprinting out of the room, telling his pawns to do as they were told. The thought was amusing, but he as the victim of such thoughts, hurt his pride. "No... I hope you pee yourself," With that, he stepped over her curled form and left her out in the hall.
"Get off me!" She heard Trent in the Throne Room complain some distance away, which gave her enough of a reason to calm herself down and catch up to the prehistoric man. Standing behind Mesogog, close to his backside, they both walked in, and before her eyes, she saw the boy beneath a net.
"So. The White Ranger pays us a visit, at last. Let's finally see, the man behind the mystery," Amelia watched him walk around the drones and the boy who she knew but giggled at his little unintended rhyme at the end.
Amelia wanted to do this part, she knew the drones would but she decided to go ahead of them and hold onto the net. "Drum roll, please!~" Strangely enough, the drones started to slam their hands on the floor as if she gave them a command and snorted a laugh at their random obedience. "Ta-daaaa!" On cue, she yanked the net off, accidentally flipped it on top of a drone that so happened to fall from the contact, and wiggled her hands in the air cheerfully.
"You," There was venom in Elsa's words, who was soon accompanied by Zeltrax's 'impossible!' comment, next to her.
"Amelia- Leave!" Hisses were heard when she saw Meso glare daggers at her little act.
"Psh- party-pooper," With puckered lips to show her playful side and the fold of her arms as she made her way out of the room, Dr. Ray peeked over her shoulder and saw Elsa crack a smile at her words. From there, she left, not without a giggle of course. Aw, man! I wanted to hear his softer tone! His voice... His eyes... Drool-worthy! Amelia internally whined as she trekked the halls and was forced to miss out on a scene she liked in this episode.
Oh well! Stevie should be awake by now, I better go check on him! I'm going to need to train him soon since he's getting bigger, and I have to feed him! Her simple walk turned into a jog to pick up her pace until she remembered something very important. "I gotta go, gotta go, gotta go right now! Pee!" As fast as her boots would allow her, she sprinted down the hall and into the bathroom.
