"Casper! High! Spirit! Oomph!" Mr. Lancer said, cheerfully before he hit the ground with Jazz, Octavia, and Vaggie standing next to him.
"Mr. Lancer, are you okay?" Jazz asked.
"Should we call the nurse?" Octavia added.
"Or the hospital?" Vaggie threw in.
"Ahh, Spirit Week. I love it so. The pomp, the circumstance, and mostly the spirit sparklers!" Mr. Lancer said, getting up.
"Jasmine, Octavia, Vagatha, did you know I was a cheerleader when I went to school here?" He asked, holding up a picture of himself as a cheerleader.
All three of them looked shocked and creeped out about seeing it.
"Really? Weird. No clue. Can I talk to you for a minute, Mr. Lancer?" Jazz asked.
Inside the school, Danny was walking down the hallway. He was on his way to meet up with Charlie and Emily when his ghost sense went off, causing him to turn to the door they were at. After making sure no one was around, he jumps into a locker to transform and phases himself through the door.
"About my brother Danny? He's been acting really strange lately. Like he's not himself anymore." Jazz said, thinking.
"Jazz, come on," Vaggie said, knowing what she was doing.
"We get that you're looking out for him, but you can't keep doing this," Octavia added.
"I'd talk to him, but I'm his older sister and he's just going to think I'm being bossy. And if he doesn't get some help, if he doesn't talk to somebody, all that frustration he's repressing could come out the wrong way." Jazz said, making her friends sigh.
"Are you forgetting that he's has Charlie and Emily with him?" Vaggie pointed out.
They opened the door to see Danny standing in a destroyed room, surprising them.
"Which they should be right now." She added.
"Good one, Fenton. You let him get away, you idiot." Danny whispers to himself.
Later,
The Fenton siblings sat in the destroyed room as a woman named Penelope Spectra turned down the temp.
"Is it always so cold in here?" Jazz said, feeling a bit chilling.
"Of course! I find that cold temperature keeps the mind icy sharp!" Spectra said.
"I don't think that's how it works," Octavia said, feeling this new person weird.
"And don't worry about this office mess, either. Stuff happens! No biggie. Right, Jasmine?" Spectra asked, smiling.
"It's Jazz. My friends call me Jazz." Jazz told her.
"Yeah, well, your brother calls you fink!" Danny said, crossing his arms.
"Danny, I'm just trying to help. Come on, we used to talk all the time." Jazz said, feeling a little sad.
"Yeah, when I was 8 and you weren't a fink," Danny told her.
Vaggie sighs, recalling the stories that Jazz used to tell her when they were kids. Even if she doesn't fully trust Danny back then, seeing siblings grow apart because Jazz wanted to be more grown-up has done a lot more damage than Jazz thinks.
"That's more than enough out of you, Fenton. Get to class while Ms. Spectra and I decide what your punishment is." Mr. Lancer said as Danny stomped away.
Vaggie and Octavia looked at each other and nodded.
"We'll keep an eye on him." They said, leaving the room.
"Unlike her brother, Jazz is one of Casper's best and brightest. She'll be giving the keynote pep speech at our centennial Spirit-a-thon on Wednesday." Mr. Lancer said.
"Right on! That's why I'm here. To pump up the pep, one student at a time." Spectra said.
Jazz saw the pictures and noticed how each teen looked miserable as Spcetra looked, younger in each of them.
"Jazz, Dr. Spectra is a highly respected motivational speaker and teen therapist. She's agreed to help pump up the volume on that old Casper High spirit this week." Mr. Lancer said.
A short man walked in holding some papers.
"And this is my assistant, Bertrand," Spectra said.
Jazz tries to wave at him, but Bertrand didn't react.
"Jazz, we're gonna have a super week! Wait'll you see what we have planned for the Spirit-a-thon! Right after your speech, show her, Bertrand." Spectra said as a board was pulled up.
"We'll set off this domino chain that says "Casper Spirit". Dominoes represent how each person's spirit affects the next person they touch. Slammin', huh?" Spectra asked, smiling.
"If by slammin', you mean weird, then yes." Jazz said.
"And the spirit sparklers go off afterward...right?" Mr. Lancer asked, hopefully.
"Oh, you bet they will," Spectra said, hopping on her desk with two sparkers in her hands.
"After all, what's spirit week without spirit sparklers?" She asked, waving them around.
"You know, you're a little over-peppy, but my brother might benefit from talking to you. But he's so mad right now, he'd never listen to me." Jazz said.
"Yes, well, he'll listen to me." Mr. Lancer said.
Later,
Danny sat in a chair with a sigh that said, Happy Chair as he wanted for his turn. Charlie and Emily heard what happened and decided to join him as support. They both knew that he was having a rough day and they knew that Mr. Lancer was overdoing it again.
"So, you're saying my popularity is, like, completely dependent on my beauty?" Paulina asked as she walked out of the office.
"I'm not saying it's fair, sweetie. But if you feel like you need something, like, a lot of makeup, I say go for it! You're the only you you've got!" Spectra said before turning to Danny.
"Danny...and Charlie and Emily?" She said, surprised.
"We just came for support. If this is private then we won't intervene." Charlie said.
"Oh, that's fine! Come on in!" Spectra said, hoping she would get them on at a time.
"I can't believe my stupid sister convinced Lancer to make this my punishment. And can we please turn up the heat in here? I can see my own breath!" Danny asked, annoyed.
Charlie nodded, though she couldn't feel the cold thanks to her fire powers. Emily started shivering the minute she stepped in, however.
"Wow, you do complain a lot. Hm." Spectra said before shrugging.
"Well, your sister did say you could be a bit of a baby." She added,
"What?!" Danny asked, surprised.
"Whoa, whoa! Back up?! Jazz would never call Danny that!" Charlie said, shocked.
"Sweetie, it's not your fault she thinks you're a loser," Spectra said, making Danny more upset.
"Wait, Jazz called me a loser too?" Danny asked.
"M-M. S-S-Spectra, if you're t-t-trying to help D-D-D-Daniel, then please d-d-d-don't say things that we k-k-k-know Jazz would n-n-n-never say." Emily said, shivering.
Charlie placed her hands on Emily's shoulders, sending a bit of her fire powers into her, slowly warming her up.
"Thanks, C-C-Charlie," Emily said, feeling warmer.
Danny smiled a bit before Spectra spoke up again.
"So, what's the story with you three? I hear rumors that you are all quite close." She asked.
"We're just friends. Been that for two years." Danny said.
"Plus, I'm already dating someone," Charlie said.
"I'm not i-i-in any relationship, but I make t-t-t-time for my friends," Emily said.
Spectra could sense their happiness and tried her best to keep a cheerful face.
"Hey, those are her issues. I'm not saying you're a loser, Danny. I think you're a great kid!" She told him, trying to cheer him up.
"Then why do I feel so miserable?" Danny asked, slumping.
Charlie and Emily touched his shoulders, knowing that was the opposite of what it was supposed to be.
"You know what I think? You might be a mess, but "mess" is just the beginning of "message"! Now go out there and be a better you." She said, letting Danny get up.
Danny sighed as he and his friends started to leave, only for him to slam into a wall. Charlie and Emily quickly checked on him, but he assured them he was okay.
After they left, Spectra sighed. With all three of them together, she could barely get anything from them. But she did get a bit of what she needed.
"Marvelous," Spectra said as her skin suddenly unwrinkled and looked young.
The door shut as Bertrand looked at her, crossing his arms.
"Why are you wasting your time on a messed up kid when we've got a big to-do planned for Wednesday?" He asked.
"Yeah, but Wednesday's still a couple of days away. Hmm. Teen misery is the nectar that keeps me looking fabulous. And that Fenton kid is like a walking spa treatment!" Spectra said.
"And those girls?" He asked.
"I can't even touch them! And you know damn well I can't touch that demon girl!" Spectra shouted before taking a breath.
She knew it would be tough wearing the boy down, but she had to make do with what she had.
"Hmm, then maybe I should up the ante," Bertrand said, smirking.
He soon transforms into a giant green wasp and flies out of the building, hoping to drive a halfa more miserable.
And here's part one. Since I had Octavia spend time around Jazz, I threw her, along with Vaggie at the beginning. And there will be a lot of people discovering Danny, Charlie, and Emily are the Trinty later into the rewrite. Besides the main three of Jazz, Vaggie, and Octavia, four other people will learn about them too. I'll keep them under wraps for now.
So, Danny is still affected by Spectra's words, but thanks to Charlie and Emily, they're not as strong. The reason Spectra can't touch Charlie and Emily is because of their true selves. And the fact that Charlie is the daughter of the Devil himself. Lots of ghosts know who she really is and don't dare mess with her. The same will be said once the Demons and Angels start coming in during season 2.
Also, eecobeo since there is not very much known about the demon you sent me in your version of the rewrite, I decided not to at him in mine. For those who are wondering, it's a demon by the name of Ronaldo.
