Sabaku no Kitsune: Chapter 35
Suna cemetery; 3 days after the 'incident': With Naruto
Naruto was standing in the Suna cemetery looking down at 3 graves with the still freshly turned soil; the graves of Iruka, Teuchi and Ayame stared back at Naruto in a deafening silence that rung in his ears.
Naruto used his shadow clones to dig the graves himself as he felt it was his personal duty despite the only things he was burying was their heads; Naruto had a look of sadness on his face and the only thing that brought him out of if was the sound of foot steps behind him.
Naruto turned around and saw Temari walking up with a solemn look on her face; Temari looked at Naruto and say the dried tear marks on his face and felt her heart pang. Temari knew that there were no words she could say that could help him.
"You know Temari" Naruto said in a hoarse voice "I met Old man Teuchi and Ayame when I was six; they were the first people other than the Hokage who actually treated me well".
"Really" Temari said walking up beside him and grabbing his hand; Naruto nodded and looked into her eyes.
"I hadn't eaten in three days at that point and it was raining super hard" Naruto said "I saw the old man wave at me but I began to run away; why wouldn't I, I thought he was telling me to leave". "As a began to run away he called for me to come back and come in for a bite" Naruto said "I had no money but he said 'no problem my boy' and gave me a free bowl of ramen".
"That was sweet of him" Temari said smiling and Naruto did as well.
"He told me I could come in for a free bowl everyday" Naruto said "Ayame also used to teach me how to read an write since I was illiterate". "Iruka sensei however… well he was different" Naruto said.
"How so" Temari asked.
"Iruka didn't like me at first; no surprise, I was always the trouble maker of the class" Naruto said "but over time he began to like me, he no longer saw me as his trouble child but as a little brother who needed guidance". Naruto reached into his pocket and pulled out his old Konoha headband "he even gave me this… it was his but he gave it to me when I graduated… after stealing the secret scroll from the Hokage office" he said sheepishly and Temari giggled.
"Now their gone" Naruto said bringing the mood down "and I never got to say goodbye"; Naruto began to tear up and Temari reached out and grabbed him bringing him to her breast as he began to cry.
"It's ok Naruto… let it all out" Temari said as she began to comfort her crying boyfriend.
Unseen by them Kakashi was behind a pole looking on 'you're lucky Naruto' Kakashi thought 'when I lost my sensei and Kushina I had no one to cry on; but you do'. Kakashi turned around and exited the cemetery 'I guess he doesn't need me here after all'.
Naruto stopped crying and took a breath "I'm good, I'm good" Naruto said and Temari wiped his tears.
"We need to go Naruto" Temari said "Gaara has summoned us; we have a mission"; Naruto nodded and cleared his throat.
"Lets go" Naruto said as he and Temari began hopping roof top to roof top towards the Kazekage tower.
Kazekage tower: With Team Obito, Gaara, Temari, Kankuro, Jiraya, Tsunade, Kakashi and Sakura
Naruto, Temari, Sakura, Kakashi, Kurumi, Karin and Obito were looking at Gaara who was sitting behind his desk with Jiraya and Tsunade at his side.
"I have called you here for a important mission" Gaara said to the 7 people in front of him "as you know as of three days ago Konoha was over thrown by Danzo; but what you don't know is that there have been other developments". Gaara got up and walked over to a map with pins on various points "Konoha and it's ally Taki have attacked us from the east capturing several important outposts; Taki has allied with Konoha due to a treaty signed by the first Hokage and the then leader of Taki" Gaara said and the others nodded "however another ally has joined as well… Oto".
"Oto; Orochimaru is on this too" Sakura said and Gaara nodded.
"Damn snake bastard; why can't he just crawl into a hole and die" Naruto said.
"He joined for unknown reasons; even so he has become another thorn in our side" Jiraya said "which is why I'm going to go into enemy territory and find out more info". Naruto went wide eyed at this.
"What, who are you going with; please don't tell me you are going alone" Naruto asked worried but Jiraya smiled.
"I won't be alone" Jiraya said "Ebisu and Anko will be with me; they are two of the best recon ninja we have". Naruto let out a sigh of relief and nodded.
"While he's doing that I have a mission for you all" Gaara said "Konoha like i said took several out posts, including one that's along a heavily traveled supply route".
"Let me guess; you want us to go and capture it" Obito asked and Gaara nodded.
"Yes, we estimate the enemies strength to be fifty strong; the majority will be from Konoha but the rest are auxiliaries from Oto and Taki" Gaara said. "Obito will be in charge with Temari acting as the guide" Gaara said
"Very well" Obito said "how you like that Kakashi, you may have ruled the roost when we were genin, but I'm in charge now". "What do you say about that" Obito said smugly; Kakashi however was reading his book and looked over to Obito.
"Oh sorry Obito, did you say something" Kakashi said and Obito became mad.
"You dick" Obito shouted.
'Geez pa; act mature' Kurumi thought embarrassed at her father.
'Kakashi, please, as you're girlfriend can you not do that anymore' Sakura thought rubbing her temples.
"Screw it" Obito said "be ready to leave in two hours".
2 hours later; Suna gates: With Naruto, Temari, Obito, Kurumi and Kakashi
Naruto and the others were all waiting at the gate for Karin "I wonder what's keeping her" Naruto said "oh wait there she is". Karin came running down the street with her back pack and came to a stop.
"Sorry; I couldn't find my extra pair of glasses" Karin said rubbing the back of her head 'oh man, that was close'.
Flashback; 30 minutes ago, Karin's apartment (hint of lemon)
Karin was slammed against the wall by Kankuro who went in and kissed her roughly on the lips; they kissed for a few seconds until he pulled away.
"I might die so I want to do this real quick" Karin said as she began to unbuckle Kankuro's pants.
"It's a good idea" Kankuro said as he turned Karin around and pulled down her shorts "let's make it worth it".
Karin but her lip as she felt Kankuro begin to enter her and gasped when he was fully in; Kankuro began to slowly but roughly fuck Karin from behind as she began to moan.
"Oh damn, you're so tight" Kankuro said as he leaned in and kissed Karin's neck.
Flashback end
Karin was rubbing the back of her head sheepishly and Temari was looking at her closely 'hair slightly messy, her belt one notch too loose, that glow' Temari thought before it hit her 'Karin… you red haired minx'. "No problem" Temari said with a smile "you guys ready to go".
"Yes we are" Obito said.
"You bet babe" Naruto said adjusting his fan.
"Alright, lets go" Temari said as they all ran out of the village heading east.
1 day later; Near the Suna-Konoha border: With Naruto, Temari, Obito and Kakashi
Naruto, Temari, Kakashi and Obito were all lying down on a hill over looking a small outpost consisting of 3 buildings, a guard tower and a stone wall surrounding the perimeter. Temari was looking through her binoculars trying to see the size of the enemy.
"What do you see down there" Naruto asked and Temari looked around.
"About forty guards; most are root but I see some Taki ninja as well, less than we expected" Temari said "what do you think we should do".
"I say we have you and Naruto hit them from all sides with wind jutsu" Obito said "after they get shook me and Kurumi will take the west, Kakashi and Sakura take the south, Naruto and Temari take the north and Karin stays in reserve and guards the east".
"Wow Obito; i guess after all these years you finally got some intelligence" Kakashi said and Obito looked at him with a tic mark.
"Shut it scarecrow" Obito said.
"Ok lets get into position" Temari said as they all snuck back.
A few minutes later Naruto created 10 shadow clones so which split up into 3 teams of three while the other one joined him and Temari on the North side of the outpost.
"Ready Naruto" Temari said as she opened her fan and Naruto did the same.
"You bet" Naruto said as he and Temari both brought back their fans.
"Wind Style: Wind Combine Decapitation" They shouted; Naruto, Temari and his clones all swung their fans all at once creating 4 walls of wind that rushed towards the outpost catching the defenders off guard.
The wind jutsu's hit the outpost like a unrelenting tornado as debris and men went flying around; after a few seconds the dust settled and Temari stood up and pulled out a flare launcher.
Temari fired a single green flare into the air signaling the attack to commence and she and Naruto rushed down to engage the enemy.
With Kakashi and Sakura.
The clones in front of Kakashi and Sakura poofed out of existence and they saw a flare go up "Lets go" Kakashi said and Sakura nodded.
"Right" Sakura said as both she and Kakashi ran towards the outpost; as they approached Sakura saw that the wall was still intact and she clenched her fist "chaaaaa" Sakura roared as she punched the wall. Using her super strength Sakura shattered the wall sending large stones shooting into the compound.
'That's so hot' Kakashi thought as he and Sakura entered the perimeter; Kakashi looked to his left and saw 2 root ninja under some rubble.
"Enemy ninja" one of them shouted; Kakashi took out 2 kunai and threw them hitting both men in their foreheads killing them.
Sakura looked to the right and saw 3 root ninja rushing towards her; Sakura rushed towards them as the first attempted to stab her with a kunai. Sakura dodged to the side grabbing his arm before snapping it as the bone broke through his skin; Sakura brought up her other fist and punched him in the head splattering his brains across the ground.
The second root ninja took out 4 shuriken and threw them at Sakura "Shuriken Shadow clone jutsu" the 4 shuriken multiplied into 20 and were heading towards Sakura. Sakura used the dead Ninja she was holding as a shield as the shuriken hit the body instead of her; Sakura threw the body to the side and went through hand signs herself.
"Earth Style: Earth Spikes" Sakura drove her fist into the ground and earth spikes began to shoot out and head to the 2 ninja; the closest one wasn't able to dodge as he was skewered through the stomach. The second ninja was able to dodge and draw out his sword before rushing towards Sakura.
Before he could get close however he heard the sound of chirping "Raikiri" Kakashi shouted as he rushed the last ninja; the root ninja put his sword in an attempt to protect himself from Kakashi's attack. Kakashi thrusted his raikiri forwards and cut through the sword and piercing the enemy ninja's chest.
"Don't worry my love I got him for you" Kakashi said with an eye smile and Sakura huffed.
"I could've gotten him" Sakura said annoyed but Kakashi just shrugged "lets just get going".
With Kurumi and Obito
Kurumi and Obito both rushed into the outpost and Kurumi immediately took out her sword and activated her sharingan; Kurumi looked to her side and saw a wounded Taki ninja on the ground. He had a piece of wood sticking out of his chest and she knew he wasn't going to make it.
Kurumi in a fast motion stabbed him through the heart putting him out of his misery; just as she did that she saw to her side another Taki ninja coming at her with a kunai. Kurumi brought up her sword and sliced the mans arm off making him scream; Kurumi then brought down her sword slicing the mans chest open spraying her with blood.
Obito saw his daughter take out 2 shinobi and was scanning around for the enemy; Obito saw a group of 10 ninja or so exiting the largest building and began to go through hand signs.
"Fire Style: Fireball jutsu" Obito puffed his chest and fired a large ball of fire towards the large group of ninja; the fire ball hit igniting the majority on fire while one escaped and drew his sword before rushing Obito.
"You're a dead man" He shouted; the ninja neared and slashed at Obito but Obito used his Kami ability to phase the attack through and the enemy ninja went wide eyed. Obito in a swift motion reached out and grabbed the enemy ninja's neck; in a single twist Obito broke his neck killing him instantly.
Kurumi looked at the 9 burning enemy ninja and gritted her teeth; she sheathed her sword before taking out several shuriken and throwing them at them. Kurumi with incredible accuracy hit all 9 purring them out of their misery.
"Lets go Kurumi" Obito said and she nodded as she and her father began scouring around for any others.
With Naruto and Temari
Naruto and Temari both entered the outpost and Naruto put up his big fan and brought out his gauntlet blade; Naruto saw 2 root ninja rushing towards him and got ready "stay back Temari; i got them".
Both root ninja had swords and the first one took a swing at Naruto who ducked under the slash before coming back up and locking blades with he second one; Naruto used his blade to pull down the enemies sword before delivering a punch to his face.
Naruto heard the other ninja coming from behind in order to perform a stab; Naruto grabbed the enemy he just punched and pulled him. The first ninja ended up stabbing his friend and Naruto went in for a killing blow; Naruto threw a punch with his gauntlet and the blade hit the enemy in the eye socket hitting the brain.
Temari was holding her fan when she heard a noise off to her left; Temari turned and swung her fan using the blunt side as a club. Temari hit a Taki ninja trying to sneak up on her hitting him in the head breaking his skull; the enemy was instantly killed when she heard another enemy come up from behind her. Temari once more raised up her ran and brought it down in an overhead chop.
The root ninja seeing this caught the fan just before it hit him; his arms were barely able to hold the weight as he tried to figure out what to do. But before he could do that he heard a shout.
"Rasengan" Naruto shouted as he drove his rasengan into the enemies stomach; the enemy was sent flying and spinning in the air until he hit the stone wall.
"Thanks for the assist" Temari said with a smile.
"No problem" Naruto said as he looked at his hand "I haven't used that technique in battle for years; it feels… like putting on an old pair of shoes" he said and Temari chuckled.
"Let get moving" Temari said and Naruto nodded; Naruto and Temari rushed to the center of the outpost and looked around. Then entire place was a mess as the building were destroyed and there were bodies all over the area; most looked like they were killed when Naruto and Temari did their wind jutsu but there were others with slash marks and shuriken in them.
"Hey guys" Kurumi said as she ran up with Obito "is that all?"
"I think so" Temari said surprised "i guess we did more damage than we thought… it's a little anti-climactic ".
"Hey Naruto" Sakura shouted as she and Kakashi ran over "is it over? Did we win".
Naruto looked around and shrugged "I guess-" Naruto began until he heard a shout.
"P-Please" came a feminine voice; everyone turned and saw 2 female Taki ninja come out from behind a pile of rubble "w-we surrender". Naruto and the others got on guard; both Taki girls had their hands up but they were not taking any chances.
"Naruto cover me" Kurumi said and Naruto nodded; Kurumi ran over and took out 2 zip-tie cuffs to restrain them "looks like we have some prisoners".
"Alright; a job well done" Obito said as he pressed the button on his communication device "Karin come in; it's over". On the other side there was nothing but static "Karin" Obito asked again worried.
"I guess you're talking about red here" came a feminine voice; everyone turned and saw a girl dragging an unconscious Karin by her shirt "she tried her best to stop me; but it wasn't enough".
Naruto looked at the female ninja and studied her carefully; she had tan skin and green hair, she wore a white skirt and a white short cut tank top and on her left arm there was a Taki headband tied on.
"Fu, you made it" one of the Taki girls shouted with hope; Kurumi proceeded to hit her in the gut.
"Shut it" Kurumi hissed and Fu frowned.
"Hey, you better let them go" Fu said in a warning tone.
"Or what" Sakura said; Fu frowned and began to flare her chakra as sand began to fly around.
"Or else you'll have to face the power of the seven tails" Fu said and everyone paled at the revelation.
'No way' Sakura thought.
'A jinchuriki; like Naruto and Gaara' Temari thought in panic.
'She's just like me' Naruto thought as he looked at Fu "hey Fu right" Naruto said and she nodded. "Lets make a deal; we trade prisoners and then you and me fight" Naruto said shocking all his friends.
"Naruto! No way" Temari said in protest but Naruto looked at her.
"She has Karin, Temari" Naruto said "I can handle this" he said.
"Fine" Fu said as she dropped Karin "let's switch places"; Naruto nodded as he and his friends went left and started walking to Karin while Fu went over to her 2 friends. Upon reaching her friends Fu took out a kunai and cut their cuffs and whispered "Asa, Mirika; head to the camp and get the others".
"Ok, be safe Fu" Asa whispered as she and Mirika ran away.
Naruto and the others got to Karin and Kurumi picked her up "she's fine, just unconsious" Kurumi said and Naruto nodded.
"Ok guys, get some distance; this is going to get wild" Naruto said and Temari looked at him worried "I'll be fine" he said and Temari nodded.
"You better come back" Temari said as she and the others began to walk away leaving Naruto and Fu alone.
"You're girlfriend is very pretty" Fu said "why are you staying; I would've just let you leave"; Naruto shrugged.
"Figured taking you out would help out my side" Naruto said "I'm Naruto Uzumaki, Jinchuriki of the nine tails".
"I figured" Fu said "Danzo told our leader that if we run into you make sure we capture not kill". "So I won't kill you" Fu said as she got into her fighting stance "how about you". Naruto smiled and retracted his gauntlet blade.
"I won't kill you either" Naruto said as he took out both of his small fans "But I will kick your ass".
Naruto and Fu both stared each other down as they waited for their moment; a small gust of wind came in between them and both Naruto and Fu charged at each other as the fight between 2 jinchuriki was about to begin.
