One of the walls suddenly had a massive hole punctured through it. At the same time, Lille Barro and Royd Lloyd ran right into it while being chased down by an army of Arrancar soldiers that numbered in the hundreds and still growing.

'Uh, Lille Barrow...' Royd asked while running behind the royal Guard. 'Haven't you track down Rudbornn Chelute by now! He is overrunning us!'

Lille Barrow then grunted his teeth. 'You think that if I already tracked him down, we still be running, fool!' He snapped back. 'Unless I'm given enough breathing room to track down his location and not have so many trying to gun my ass. Running is all we can do!' He then eyed Royd. 'Unless you have a better idea?'

The Sternritter then paused for one moment in thought and then came up with an idea. 'Maybe...' Royd then took several silver containers from his pocket and threw them at the soldiers.

'Gritz!' He uttered, and instantly, the thrown item transformed into a shield that had layers over each other and blocked the invading soldier's path. '

'There, that should buy you some time!' Royd said, and Lille immediately began using his senses to determine Rudbornn's location. After a few seconds, he found that the captain of the Exequias was in a nearby tower on his right.

Then with little hesitation, Lille Barrow aimed with his sniper rifle and fired—the beam of the x-axis pricing through all the tower walls with no resistance in an instant. Along through the bull-headed Arrancar's skull, and a second later, Rudbornn fell over dead.

'There, that should take care of everything, 'Barrow commented, seemingly confirmed when the Arrancar soldiers stopped attacking him.

Ryold then sighs in relief. 'Well, I am glad that is over. Now we can...' The bald man's eyes then looked up in concern. 'Wait...there not dissipating...'

Lille then expressed confusion.

'What, but I shot that sucker right in the head, I know it!' Barrow declared angrily. 'How could he still be alive?'

'I don't know...' Ryod admitted as he noticed a red glow coming out from one of the windows of the building. 'But it seems we may still be in trouble.'

Then without warning, the entire building the quinces were in was blasted apart by several mega cero cannon blasts fired by hundreds of more Arrancar soldiers outside.

Meanwhile, on the other side of Las Noches.

HahahaHa!' Both Runuganga and Battikaroa laugh.

'Do you see now, Quincy, how helpless you are!' Rumberion boasted of having felt the termers of the Lille's and Royd's battle with Rudbornn.

'Already, two of your comrades have fallen to the other forces of Las Noches, and soon you too will be joining them!' Battikaroa said alongside his brother.

Gremmy, however, laughs. Much to the two hollows' irritation.

'What!?' Runuganga snapped. 'Are you laughing in despair knowing your friends have fallen!'

The blond sterner then whips a tear from his eyes. 'No...' he said while his voice became low. 'It's a fact you think a member of the Imperial guard or even a sternritter would be killed so easily.'

Later back with Lille barrow and Royd. The dust of the cero blast settled to reveal that both of the quinces were unharmed, protected by a barrier of Blunt Vene.

'You learn his majesty's technique well.' Lille commented as he readied his gun.

Royd then let out a tired breath. 'I rather use this technique on enemies worthy of fighting, not cannon fodder,' he complains.

'True...' Lille barrow agreed. 'However, you should be proud that you could use it properly,' he complimented again.

Then Royd Lloyd nodded. 'Of course' he then looked around and saw the cavaliers were prepared to fire another round from their canons and then looked to Lille Barrow. 'The other one you targeted was a decoy. Have you determined where the real one is?'

Lille then remains silent for a moment before answering. 'As a matter of fact...' he then narrowed his eyes. 'I have...'

Within an unknown location. Rudbornn, Frown in frustration that his targets are still alive. He hoped that the decoy he made of him with the roots of his ressecion would have distracted them long enough to deliver the killing blow. Yet despite having them completely fooled, they withstood the surprise attack and have certainly caught on to his ploy.

But in the end, it doesn't matter.

So long as he concentrated his spiritual signature on one of his decoys, the quinces will never determine his location, and from that point on, it would be a matter of wearing them down until they were too weak to fight.

That is until he felt something pierce through his shoulder.

The captain of the Exequias gasped in shock at the wound that suddenly punctured through him and immediately began using Sonido to step away from his position.

'The target is on the move, and I have failed to pierce through his soul chain and sleep,' Lille barrow said calmly as he readjusted his aim. 'But given he is over ten miles away and a small target that is to be expected,' The African male then readied to aim once more.

Rudbornn was able to see through the eyes of one of his decoys that Lille Barrow was alone without Ryoud protecting him.

Surprised, the Arrancar wondered where the other Quincy went.

Unfortunately for him, he got his answer when a holy arrow pierced through his chest in the front, and to his frustrating realization, he saw Ryoud standing in front of one of the pathways with his bow drawn.

Yet despite being outmatched, Rudbornn merely laughed.

'You may have outmaneuvered me, Quincy. But in doing so, you have left your other comrade vulnerable!' The Exquias captain shouted as he immediately sent a mental command that ordered the rest of his soldiers to fire on their now wide-open target.

'Even if you managed to kill my soldiers, I will at least take one of you damn Quinces down with me!' Rudbornn boasted, and then the skull soldiers surrounding Lille finally charged up their weapons and fired, blasting the entire building that he was into rubble.

However, Royd Lloyd was unfazed.

'It seems that you are mistaken...' The brunette Quincy said, much to Rudbornn's confusion. Only to find out another beam instantly shot through this chest.

'W-what!?' The Arrancar gasped and then realized to his dread that the Imperil Quincy had managed to pierce through his soul sleep and chain, disabling his resurrection and powers.

'I was never meant to protect Lille barrow from attack...but rather to aid him in determining your location. considering that it requires a lot of focus to determine a target's exact spiritual signature over several miles' Royd then dispersed his bow. 'But once the target is located, it from then on only becomes a matter of firing at it.'

Rudbornn then gasped for air and then began to collapse to the floor. Bleeding out from his wounds as he stared at Quincy in disbelief.

'But...how?!' He spat out in confusion. 'How was he able to fire on me when all my soldiers blasted him to smithereens!

Ryoud then raised his eyebrow at the fallen captain of the Exequias, and then narrowed his eyes.

'It was because you misunderstood the power of the x-axis,' the Sternritter explained. 'It is not just a power that simply pierces through everything...'

Lille Barrow took a deep breath and saw all the skull soldiers fading into dust. Before lifting himself up he was satisfied that his target was finally eliminated. For at the very moment when the cero's nearly hit him. He activated his second eye to merge himself with his x-axis, allowing the enemy's blasts to phase through him while he gunned down their captain at the same time.

Still, if he hadn't been able to track down the Arrancar by locating the flow reshi, he gave off from the roots of his resurrection or found a way to keep Rudbornn still while taking his shot. There was no telling how long he would have to remain intangible before he managed to tag the Arrancar.

Lucky for him; however, he had a comrade to guide his steady hand.
