A few days passed since the Winter Ball as Anya was sitting in the library, studying for finals, while hearing a conversation between Joseph, Thomas, and Charles right behind her.
Thomas was a young boy with short blonde hair. He wore a blue shirt with sleeves along with jeans while Charles on the other hand had short black hair and mostly wore a black shirt and jeans.
"Alright! Winter Break is coming soon. We need to figure out what we should do for the holidays." Joseph spoke to his friends, slamming some papers on the table as he sat down while Thomas and Charles nodded before one of them spoke out.
"Maybe we should hang out with all the girls during the holiday. Just find a nice place, and we could all hang out together." Thomas responded, smiling at his friends while Charles chuckled at this as he spoke to his friend.
"My good friend, I know quite well. You intend to use this opportunity to score with one of the girls, a date I might guess" Charles spoke to his friend with a smirk while Thomas chuckled.
"I-I mean, I do have a small crush on Anya, and that's about it; however, I'm only saying that because we should know our fellow schoolmates more." Thomas responded to his friend, blushing to himself while Joseph chuckled at what he just heard.
"You do have a point, Anya is quite attractive, although she can be a bit tomboyish at times, which isn't my style, which is ironic considering she is my rival when it comes to sports." Joseph responded to his friend while unknown to them, Anya was listening to everything they were saying.
"Not his style?! Tomboys are wonderful, but Joseph is free to have his opinion at the end of the day.." Anya thought to herself as she continued to study while also listening to the ongoing conversation between the boys.
"Ahh, I wonder what it would be like even to date Anya. I bet she'll take me to a bunch of plays considering her mother participates in them…" Thomas thought to himself as he imagined what it would be like to date Anya.
*Thomas' Fantasy*
Anya and Thomas sat in a lavish auditorium filled with people sitting in a row of chairs, waiting for the performance.
"T-Thank you for taking me out, Thomas. How did you know I was a fan of plays?" Anya asked Thomas, smiling at him while Thomas smiled back to answer the question.
"Well, you always talked about them, so I figured I would take you to see Romeo and Juliet." Thomas responded, blushing while staring at Anya, who smiled even more.
"How wonderful. You're such a gentleman.." Anya spoke to Thomas once more as she and Thomas kissed each other softly on the lips.
*End of Fantasy*
Thomas blushed madly after imagining such a scenario that he buried his face in his book while Joseph and Charles chuckled.
"I'm sure Anya probably likes someone else or she already has a boyfriend or something, but what did you even imagine to warrant such a reaction?" Charles asked his friend curiously while Thomas lifted his head from the book to respond to the question.
"W-Well, I imagined me and Anya watching a play then I also imagined us kissing, and, well I can't say the rest.." Thomas responded, blushing while Joseph slammed his hands on the table rather comedically as he began to speak.
"Imagining your crush in such a manner?! Anya would be disgusted at you, such madness from you.." Joseph spoke to his friend with slight disappointment in his voice while Charles nodded in agreement.
"I can't even imagine the look on Anya's face if you were to tell her this, but what did you even imagine anyway.." Charles asked his friend while staring at him with an intrigued look on his face as Thomas began to speak.
"W-We were holding hands.." Thomas responded, blushing madly to himself as this surprised Joseph and Charles greatly.
"T-That's all?! You had us worried for a second that It was something more risque, but I'm glad it was something wholesome and pure; however, I also have a girl I'm aiming for…" Charles responded with relief as he began to smile at his two friends.
"Y-yeah, and did you guys think I would Imagine Anya in such a way? Talk about crazy, and I'm also curious to know, what's your little dating fantasy or whatever?" Thomas replied, looking at his friend while he waited for whatever Charles could say next.
"Well, you both know about Mai, The transfer student from China, right? Well, I always found her cute, and my ideal dating spot is somewhere with flowers." Charles responded with a smile on his face, while Joseph and Thomas smiled at this.
"Oooh, Mai. I heard she's good friends with Nancy, Anya, and the others. She's pretty darn cute, so tell us about your fantasy." Joseph responded, smirking at his friend as he was ready to listen to the fantasy.
*Charles' Fantasy*
Charles and Mai were walking in a beautiful field of flowers on a spring morning, and the pair were having a good time.
"Charles, thank you for taking me out on this wonderful date. I appreciate it, my love." Mai spoke to Charles, smiling warmly at him while the young boy smiled back, sitting down alongside Mai.
"Of course, anything for you. I know you love flowers and all.." Charles responded, staring at Mai's beautiful face, which had a hint of innocence to it.
"I-I do. That's why I was surprised, but thank you, my shining knight in armor.." Mai responded once more to Charles before kissing him softly on the lips, making Charles blush madly
*End of Fantasy*
Charles blushed madly after telling his fantasy, while Joseph and Thomas continued to give their friend intrigued looks.
"Very wholesome! Mai is such a sweet girl, so I expect you to come up with something romantic. You should talk to her one of these days. We won't be high schoolers for long." Joseph advised his friend, patting him on the back while Thomas nodded in agreement.
"He's right. I know Anya might date that Calvin guy or whoever, but that doesn't mean we shouldn't give up on our quest to gain a girlfriend or two before we graduate in two years or so." Thomas chimed into the conversation while Charles eventually nodded understandingly.
"Of course, If Mai rejects me then I might go with Wanda, Nancy, or someone else who might want to be my lover." Charles responded, chuckling to himself while Joseph began to speak to his friends.
"Alright, I know that both of you are curious about me, right? I was going to say Anya; however, I don't want to repeat someone else's ideas, so I figured I might go with the famous model and singer, Cynthia." Joseph spoke to his friends, surprising Thomas and Charles greatly.
"C-Cynthia?! Doesn't she have a boyfriend or something? She also looks eerily similar to Anya as well, you cheat." Charles asked his friend, giving him a comedic pouty face while Joseph chuckled to himself before answering.
"I know; however, this is all just a fantasy, right? Reality doesn't mean anything, and besides, who doesn't love a country gal? I've seen her photos, and she's just full of spunk!" Joseph responded, chuckling once more as he began to tell his friends the fantasy.
*Joseph's Fantasy*
Joseph and Cynthia were rowing their boat on the Mississippi River, enjoying the sunny sky.
"This area is my go-to spot for when I'm feeling sad or down in the dumps, but I'm happier when I'm with you, so I guess I'm happy." Cynthia spoke to Joseph, smiling at him while the young boy smiled back.
"Of course, I know it's rough that you've broken up with your boyfriend; however, just know that I'm with you until the end of time.." Joseph responded to his "lover" while Cynthia smiled even more.
"You're such a gentleman. I should give you a kiss for being such a good boyfriend to me, I know you'll like that." Cynthia responded before gently moving closer to him, and right before they were going to kiss...
*End of Fantasy*
Charles interrupted the fake story as he began to speak to his friend.
"Alright! Alright! You do realize that Cynthia is like eighteen or nineteen, right? Why would she date a sixteen-year-old? Also, we don't…" Charles attempted to advise Joseph sternly; however, he wasn't able to finish his statement as Joseph slammed his hands on the library table in a comedic fashion which annoyed Anya, who was hearing everything.
"I know. I know, but Cynthia is a cute girl and.." Joseph attempted to say to his friend; however, Anya turned over to the commotion and began to speak her mind.
"Can you boys be quiet? I'm studying right now, and I could hear the entire conversation as well. Keep those thoughts to yourselves or at least discuss them privately, but please quiet down." Anya ordered the boys rather sternly as all three of the boys quickly quieted down while Anya went back to work, sighing to herself in annoyance; however, Anya had one more thing to say.
"And by the way, Cynthia is getting married next year in June, Joseph!" Anya spoke once more to Joseph before turning her head around to resume her studies.
"O-Oh..Oh…NO!" Joseph cried out in defeat, putting his head down while Charles and Thomas had shaken their heads.
Later on, Miss Joyce would kick the boys out for disruption which was a huge relief for Anya.
"Teenage Boys, always having their minds stuck in places where they shouldn't belong.." Miss Joyce spoke to herself, sighing while resuming her work for the remainder of that period while Anya continued to study diligently.
