The soundtrack of choice: Hero A
'Damn it...' Ulquiorra cursed as he was pushed back across the ground by Jame's right fist, before conjuring one of his green energy spears and attempting to slash at his enemy. Only for the masked man to jump back at the last second and then began to gather spiritual energy and partials within his hands.
'Shower of Blazing Starlight' He shouted out and from his knuckles, several dozens of star-shaped spiritual energy beams shot at the 3rd Espada. Who quickly cut them all down with his green spear.
'When I first, faced off against that Quincy he wasn't all that much stronger than my sealed state...' Ulquiorra then eyed Orihime who cheered him on. 'But ever since that girl kept encouraging him, his power now rivals my Resurreccion' He then narrowed his eyes at James. 'Is this the Schrift's power I have been warning about?'
James then cracked a wide grin on seeing Ulquiorra pondering expression.
'Too much in awe to comprehend the power of my super-star!' The large man mocked playfully. 'Well, that is what I expect from a vile villain like you. For as long as my comrades around here cheer me on, my power is boundless!'
Ulquiorra then narrowed his eyes. 'Is that so? Then the best way to neutralize such boundless power...' He then suddenly appeared right behind Orhime. 'Is to silent your support. 'The Espada then jabbed his spear at the director, who immediately created a shield to block the attack. But as the Espada channeled more energy into his strike the orange shield began to steadily break apart.
However instead of worrying James merely smiles at Orhime.
'Do you think that is enough to overcome you, Ms. Inoue?!' The Sternritter challenged and the Woman smirked.
'Not even close!' She replied with determination and immediately, Orihime's strength surged to the point her shield was completely repaired and pushed Ulquiorra back much to his shock. Then in the next moment, the director unleashed a blast from her shield at the Espada, and even when the Espada blocked it the force of the blow was enough to push him back and send him crashing through several towers into the distance.
James and Orhimie then went to the sight where Ulquiorra crashed, with the latter steadily getting himself up.
'I see...' The Espada commented. 'Your schrift not only enhances your power when someone cheers for you but also anyone else within its range' He then adjusted his stance. 'This means that the best way to overcome such an ability is through the power of true despair' The man's spiritual power then began to inflate.
The soundtrack of choice: Invasion
'Segunda Etapa...'
Ulquiroa was then engulfed in a huge aura of black-green spiritual power that seem to darken the entire area around him and his spiritual pressure become so dense, that for Orhime and James, it felt less like Spiritual pressure and more like an entire ocean was being pressed down upon them. Then when the transformation ended the 3rd Espada was in his new second-release form.
His clothing was completely gone, revealing his slender white torso and hollow hole, which had a black marking that looked like dripping blood. His lower body was completely covered in black fur while a long slender tail stretched out from his back. His hands turn into blacked claws, while his feet become talons, and his Horns were replaced with ones that resemble long white bat-like ears. his irises turn into piercing yellow, and his sclera a sinister green. Giving the Arrancar the appearance of a demon from the lowest pits of the netherworld.
'Now then...' Ulquiroa spoke as he lowered himself to the ground. 'Let's see how much your cheering will help you now' The Third Espada then dashed at both Orhime and James and before either of them could react he grabbed the front of both of their heads and tossed them separately into two different buildings which they crash into.
Orhime was the first to recover and sent out a reject at Ulquiroa, but without even looking he merely swatted away the attack with a mere flap of his wings. Before sending his tail at her and forcing the director to block it. Yet the force of the blow was so great, that it both broke through her shield and sent the woman flying across the streets.
Then James tried launching a double kick at Ulquiorra's head, but the latter casually blocked both feet with his left arm. Even as the ground beside him was blasted apart from the sheer shockwave of the blow and before The Sternritter could even react. The Espada sliced open his muscled chest with his right claws, spraying blood everywhere and making the Super-Star, fall on his back.
'You must of realize now that it is hopeless' Ulquiorra declared menacingly. 'Even with the boost in power, your schrift gives to you and your allies. It can never compare to the power of a top Espada in their Segunda Etapa form
He then began to walk up to the fallen James and began to charge a black Cero Ocerues from one of his left fingertips. 'And by obliterating your body to nothingness, you will never rise with that power ever again'
James however merely laughed hoarsely. 'For an Espada who likes to spout out the inevitable...you are sure are naive
The soundtrack of choice: You Say Run
Ulquiorra's eyes then widen at that statement in confusion. While James continued.
'Due you truly believe I would be so arrogant and proud that I would take on one of the top Espada all on my own? Even the greatest of all heroes need help sometimes against villains that far outclass them and this is no different!'
Sudden Ulquiorra felt dozens...no hundreds of spiritual pressures coming at him and when they arrived all of them were Soldats and Officers who all wore various masks and customers over their uniforms, but what disturbed Ulquiorra the most was the fact that all of them, had spiritual power that was near the level of a sternritter.
'And thus I founded an army of Justice to both combats such a threat and share my power with so that we all could become...'
The rest of the costume men and women then join him. 'SuperStar Squadron Task Force!'
Then both their's and James's spiritual pressure rosed up to the point that now rivaled The Espada's level of power. Much to Ulquirroa's disbelief and when he turned to see James the man had all his clothing gone save for a black speedo and a gold diamond incrusted belt, showing his massively muscular body that now shines blue with his spiritual power.
'Now, creature of despair and doom' James spoke with a triumphant voice. 'How does it feel to be the one on the threat of annihilation!' He roared out and immediately the Sternritter and his squadron rushed at the Espada all at once.
'Lanza del Relámpago!'
A Desperate Ulquiorra shouted out as he then quickly conjured a more elegant green spear of Spiritual energy while he was able to cut down a few of the quinces that came after him with it. There were far too many for him to take on all at once as several of them managed to land several wounds upon him. Which were only held at bay by his high-speed regeneration and even worse was that those that the Espada felled were quickly revived by their companions.
Seeing now that his only option is to take them down all at once, the Tres rises as high up into the air as he can. While using his superior speed to keep ahead of all the super-powered quincies coming after him and then when he was at a far enough distance. He then readied his Lanza del Relámpago and aim at the ground below, hoping that the country size explosion would annihilate them all in a single move.
But just as he launch the spear, it was suddenly blocked by an orange transparent shield, and while it cracked against the power of the weapon it refused to break apart and then proceed to expand and trapped him inside a cage. Then when Espada looked down he saw that the cage was conjured by Orhime.
With nowhere to run the Quincy Squadron surrounded and flew around the Espada like a flock of doves, While James stood in the center of it to face down Ulquiorra, and then like a conductor, he raised both his hands and directed all his squadron to create a glowing blue pentagram out of Reishi.
Star Flash: Super Nova! They all cried out and then a gigantic mountain-sized star-shaped blast shot off from the pentagram and crashed into the trapped Ulquirroa. Shattering the cage that imprisoned him, which then sent the Espada crashing down to the ground below, before finally unleashing a magnificent explosion of blue fire that burn several city blocks into ash and stretched up thousands of feet into the air.
'HA, that is what you get for messing with the Soldiers of Justice Hollow scum!' One of the female mask Soldats cried out.
'Yeah, try to act all high and mighty now, while you are being burnt to a crisp!' Another masked Soldat male wearing golden a cape boasted.
'Enough!' James silence his squamates who looked at him in confusion. 'While I can understand the want to celebrate in successfully launching a powerful blow...' His eyes then glared through the rising explosion. 'This enemy is far from done
One of the Offiziere who wore a blue lucha mask looked at the Sternritter in bafflement. 'Far from done, but sir we reduced him to literal cinders with that combined attack. Not even high-speed regeneration would enable him to heal from that!'
The soundtrack of choice: Revelation
James then smiled grimly at his subordinate. 'If you doubt my words then judge through your sense...you will know the truth soon enough
Still doubtful the Officer then did as the knight asked and was stunned by what he had just sensed and when he focused his eyes on the explosion. He saw a skeletal figure slowly walk out of the blue flames and as it did, the figure was steadily becoming more whole, as organs, nerves, muscle, and flesh steadily grew over the skeleton until it eventually reformed back into the Third Espada. Much to the bafflement of the masked man and the rest of the squadron.
Ulquiorra then began to stretch out and flex his right arm. 'When a hollow becomes an Arrancar they have the choice of maintaining their high-speed regeneration or sacrificing it for greater power and out of all the Espada I am the only one who chose the former' He then glances at his right claw. 'And upon further modification of that ability, I can regenerate even after being reduced to ashes'
He then conjured another Lanza del Relámpago in his hand. 'So in the end all your combined efforts to bring my end it has only delayed the inevitable' The Espada announced coldly which made the rest of the squadron become disheartened until James step forward.
'Don't play so coy Villain scum!' He shouted. 'You may be able to regenerate from any attack, but that does not mean that ability is limitless!' The Knight loudly declared which made Ulquiorra narrow his eyes. 'Deny it if you wish but it takes a decent amount of your power to regenerate from our combine supernova and we both know that few more of them can push said regeneration beyond its limits!'
Ulquiorra didn't say anything, but his silence more or less confirmed James' judgment. Which in turn renews the resolve of his subordinates.
'Keep up the assault and never lose your heart Heroes of justice!' James yelled out while staring down his enemy dead in the eye in defiance. While Ulquiorra returns with a glare of contempt.
'For soon our enemy will fall!'
Meanwhile in the outskirts districts.
Kyiv and Harribel were clashing evenly against each other. With the Espada's steel hollow sword grinding against the ice cutlets of the Sternritters and when they pushed against one another, the very environment around them began to shake and crumble underneath their Spiritual pressure.
'It has been twenty years Jeager' Tia stated sternly while Kyiv smirked.
'And I can tell you have gotten stronger since then' He replied cheekily. But Harribel glared viciously at him.
'As I should be...' She sneered before pushing Kyiv away. 'After all, it was you who brutally massacred my fraccion and worse of all...' The Espada then pointed her Zanpakuto at him. 'Dared to spare my life when I tried to take my vengeance for them'
Kyiv then remains silent for a few seconds and then lets out a deep breath. 'Yeah...' He agreed in his head before getting into a stance with his ice-cutlass sword. 'And I was a fool to think this cycle will end any other way'
