The Garfield Movie, not to be confused with Garfield: The Movie which was live action, while this movie was animated, was alright. Nothing special, but alright and entertaining enough.
Chris Pratt was Garfield this time around. I know, he was Mario in The Super Mario Movie last year, and it feels like he's in everything nowadays. So, who will he play next in your childhood? And once again, he sounds like Chris Pratt, but you have to admit, he kinda fits as the Garfield voice.
In this movie, Garfield and Odie are whisked on an adventure and have to team up with Garfield's father, Vic, who is voiced by Sameral L. Jackson, who Garfield hates for abandoning him in an alley as a kitten.
So yeah, this review is being posted on a Monday, so sue me. I dare you. The trailers were released on Mondays, as least one of them were. Coincidence or coincidences? I think not! They knew what they were doing, at least I assume so.
So, if you like that lazy, orange, fat, lasagna loving and Monday hating cat, I think this movie will be fine for you. It doesn't ruin it really. No movie or TV show about Garfild really does. They'll all completely harmless, including this movie. BTW: Garfield's birthday is in 2 days, Juneteenth. (June 19th)
