Local Dragon Ruins History 9 (Waifu Catalog, Nasu!Mythology)

Throwing a translucent space displacement shield around Meredith and anchoring it to her took less than a second. Performing such feats was much easier when I was already actively 'grasping' a conceptual application that would allow me to do so like [Absolute Space].

Folding the space where my barely charged Ki Blast would send Nyx flying through so that she would end up on the other end of this pseudo-space was also just as trivial of an effort. I took a step forward, the space between us two became zero, I threw my future conquest over my shoulder and into the air.

She flipped and stabilized her aerial position above using a smidgen of her divine aura.

If I recall correctly, pretty much every significant DXD enemy (e.g. dragon, dragon-related beings and gods) threw 'aura' attacks at this point since combat boiled down to hitting your enemy with a stronger blast after getting around the latest hax or trick of the novel volume.

The local Greek Goddess smiled with excitement and swept back her hair dramatically in a way that reminded me of a shampoo commercial.

"Not bad at all! You caught me off guard, ensured Meredith's protection and brought us to a place where we could fight freely within a second. And also… at first I thought you were just a mere dragon but it seems that you have some divinity within you."

My answer to that was to stop hiding my aura and cloak myself in divine light, a minor composite application of my [Authority] that 'inspires' my people to strive towards victory while simultaneously enhancing every blow with the various concepts associated with 'Light'.

"Well it's not as if we got to properly introduce ourselves before you lot came in wanting to kill my newest recruit. I am a god of light and victory from another dimension, Nikaias."

I didn't mind making things clear to a woman that was to be captured and taken as my next wife.

"Another dimension? Yes, while you are certainly a god I can tell at a glance that your divinity is different from ours…" All of a sudden she covered her mouth with her hand and started laughing, "Hohoho, a chance to fight a foreign god? And here I thought I was just going to pick up Meredith and put her somewhere else for a bit… and for you to have a domain that opposes my own… it is very nice to meet you. I am one of the primordial Gods of Olympus, Nyx, the Goddess of Night. Now, let's have some fun!"

She swiped her hand and unleashed a wave of consuming darkness.

Enhancing my body slightly with Ki, I punched the incoming darkness and dispelled it with divine light. The battle maniac goddess was pleased with my action and responded by intensifying her assault through more waves, blades and countless bullets of darkness.

I fought hard against my instincts to just end the fight then and there. It would be too easy to momentarily use a brief moment of absolute control over time to defeat her. Simply using one more application of [Absolute Space] would allow me to dominate the fight and tire her out.

But I didn't want to do that. Though the end result of her getting stamped and captured remained the same, I could make things easier for myself if I increased her initial love and desire for me by defeating her in a dramatic fashion now that I had the [Zenryoku Zenkai] perk.

From my fingers I fired mini rapid Ki Blasts by the thousands, handily cancelling and smothering all her attacks. I blasted forth at the speed of lightning and punched her in the gut, sending her flying through the extended space in shock and pain.

I appeared right behind her and grabbed her shoulder, prematurely interrupting her flight path and making her aware of my presence.

She blasted her black aura at me with an expression in panic, one that I allowed to strike me seeing that it wasn't particularly powerful.

"Kuh…! What power… it seems that I have to go all-out now."

"By all means, go ahead. You are someone that I want to defeat at your best."

The Goddess of Night exposed a fearless smile as began exuding a mightier pressure from her body, "Funny. I feel the same way. Now stop holding back!"

I sent a wave of Ki towards the dark wave and quickly found that it was swallowed up. Not bad.

"Huh?" Then used Instant Transmission to teleport past the attack. "I see… This isn't your everyday darkness, this is Advanced Darkness."

"Wh-what!? Don't call it that! It's Primordial Darkness. Got it memorized?"

"Are you sure? It just seemed a bit stronger than your normal darkness. Should I call it intermediate darkness instead?"

"I said-"

Suddenly, I felt the familiar sensation of matter being 'decomposed' atom by atom arising from the far corner of this space, realizing what Demeter was doing, I moved and forcibly grabbed hold of Nyx from behind…

"Why you-!" She suddenly stopped when she finally began to sense the effects of a divine wave that shredded everything on an atomic level and hastened the death of organic matter in range coming towards her.

I cut the both of us out of the regular flow of time by 'stilling' it, allowing Demeter's 'tilling technique' to pass by us unharmed. I have gotten way too used to her variable deployment of [Scream Eleusis: Thou, Plough Through the Star for an Abundant Harvest] after training in the Hyperbolic Time Chamber with her.

Hades probably wouldn't die since he's a god of death… and Sothis wouldn't let her designated opponent die from an allied attack anyways, Angra Mainyu might manage to hang on… which is probably what Demeter was counting on, as part of our goals was to capture gods alive and gain strength from them before releasing them back into the wild.

"Okay, we can continue fighting now."

"What the hell was that?! That wave of death wasn't from Hades!"

"Eh, Demeter probably got tired and decided to go 'fuck it'."

"Demeter?!"

"I did say we were from another dimension. While the Greek Gods are certainly different they do exist in my world."

"She's with you."

"She's my second wife."

"Huh… ah, don't think I will be thanking you for that."

"Never expected you to. I was just making sure my opponent wasn't taken out by a third-party."

"Then we are in agreement. Now, let's dance!"

This time I powered up to 75% of my base power level and used a tiny bit of God Ki in my attacks. Unlike the natural born god Sothis, Demeter and I only managed to get up to 10% of our total Ki properly converted into God Ki after some intensive training together in the Hyperbolic Time Chamber.

Even so, to take on the gods of this world, using it to supplement our destructive Ki attacks is more than sufficient especially when we use it as a medium to contain our divine authorities.

Now each and every one of my Ki attacks easily destroyed Nyx's efforts, my high speed movement and instant teleportation was used to pressure her but not to strike her, in order to make sure that she knew that I had yet to begin fighting her seriously yet.

My seemingly effortless display (while technically sandbagging by not using any of my instant-win techniques) was driving her up the wall and she responded by using all her power in one attack to smother me with her darkness from all directions.

She couldn't raise her power any higher and sought to finish me off by gambling it all in one shot, it was the only move that she could make aside from running away.

This time around, I decided to conserve my energy so that I can finish her with a special move later on and used [Absolute Space] to effectively banish the attack as it reached me.

Her face went from confidence to fear in an instant.

"…Wha-! T-That's impossible! How?"

"Did you really think that light and victory were my only conceptual domains?"

"You… I see, so you have many more names as a god, don't you?"

"Not quite. I just didn't bother to declare the concept I truly embodied since it's too difficult for my people to grasp at this point. As for how I did it… remember, nearly all forms of attacks involve energy and will need energy to reach your opponent. No matter how powerful it is, if the distance ahead of it is infinite, your attack will not reach me. The distance between your attack and myself became both zero and infinite. Any sort of attack that cannot be sustained indefinitely cannot reach me."

From the look on her face I can tell that she finally figured it out.

Creating infinite space/distance between myself and any incoming attack will let me trap the opponent's attack in a way that it eventually runs out of energy and effectively makes it vanish.

It still had plenty of limitations and will backfire if certain conditions are met, but right now, it was the best way to make it clear to Nyx that she was utterly outmatched.

"Well then, time to bring this to an end."

"... Tch, are you going to kill me?"

"You admitted earlier that you weren't really planning to kill Meredith so I'll make sure you'll live too."

"Tch… for the record, I'm still not regretting my Longinus observation hobby."

"I didn't say anything."

I gathered my Ki and powered up to my strongest form, while still remaining in my humanoid shape, drawing out all my dormant potential power.

I would have explained what was happening to her but it sounded really silly to announce my transformation into 'Ultimate Nikaias'. Besides, the amount of power I was radiating was more than sufficient in striking fear into her heart… along with anticipation.

"Like hell you aren't trying to kill me!"

Nyx felt the danger as she tried to run away, but it was too late for that.

"Absolute Impact!"

I fired a wave of energy at her that entrapped her form by locking the space around her, then formed a large orb with my actual attack and fired it upon her.

The destructive power was contained within the sphere but didn't kill her thanks to me imbuing the idea of [Absolute Survival] into the attack. Many rats sacrificed themselves so that I could learn how not to kill anyone with a star-erasing attack.

I flew back down to Nyx and fed her broken form a Senzu Bean, then clothed her with a different dress (the only thing that came to mind was a certain virgin killer outfit) using my Clothes Beam before drawing a bit of blood with my teeth to capture her via Treasure Hoard.

Hauling the unconscious but healed goddess upon my shoulders, I contracted space and reappeared back to where everyone had gathered.

"Everyone alright?"

Sothis whacked my shin with Hades's staff.

"You horny dragon! Honestly! What were you thinking, oh wait, all you could think about was dominating the first pretty goddess you see and leaving your poor wives to fend for themselves."

I gave her a look, glanced at Hades's bound (and covered by nanomachines) form, Hades's stolen staff and then back at Sothis.

"I had full faith in my goddesses." Sothis huffed and smiled slightly, "Demeter, Angra Mainyu didn't manage to hurt you, right darling?"

Demeter was probably the 'weakest' in terms of offensive and defensive power given that Sothis and I had plenty of hax in that department. She was also the type of goddess to tank attacks because… well, she's gotten better at overcoming her innate goddess overconfidence… but she still keeps taking the first hit like those 'Joker' characters from Medaka Box.

My harvest goddess gave me her typical serene expression even as her divine core was busy analyzing the captured gods within her 'Evil Containment Wave' compatible spatial prison.

"Ufufu… I'm always glad for your concern, but the battle was a simple affair my love! After displaying my resistance to his considerable quantity of spells he had readjusted to applying more of his 'divine aura' into larger, but still feeble, spells that had caused negligible surface damage to my Aletheia."

The short version of her report is that Angra Mainyu underestimated her, ramped up and still got fucked hard when he couldn't penetrate her true form.

Demeter was probably just flexing by using her [Scream Eleusis]. What am I supposed to do with this woman… aside from fucking her brains out almost every night, that is.

"I really wish you would stop showing off like that. Dangerously smart people with the right weapons will take advantage of that one day and I don't want to see you hurt."

If we had fought a true battle before our first meeting then I would have used a cheap shot to draw some of her nanomachine blood and capture her through it after drawing the battle out for the 5 minutes the process required.

Rather than learning her lesson Demeter took the time to swoon at me as if she was my newly wedded wife. Which reminds me… I need to organize that wedding soon.

"I don't wish to be rude but can someone please let me out of here?"

Meredith Ordinton knocked on the spatial barrier I placed around her to draw our attention.

"Sorry about that." I snapped my fingers and released it in an instant. "I didn't wish for you to get hurt in the midst of the inevitable fight."

"I-it is of no consequence. I'm glad that one of the first things you did was to assure my safety. I don't think a typical god would do that when they start fighting against someone."

I nodded at what Meredith was suggesting, "The gods of this world value humans a lot less than we do. Or there's a distinct lack of wonderful benevolent goddesses with a strong sense of righteousness *Cough* Sothis!"

Sothis accepted the praise with a light blush, "Oh stop it! You dolt. It's not like I'm the only who cares."

"I only really started caring after I met Fayne, you see, it was on what was to be a typical day-." I was about to start explaining my backstory to Meredith when Sothis waved her hands in front of me a bit hurriedly.

"And you have done well since then, yes, yes, you tell that story to practically everyone we meet." It's because I adored her so much that I needed to tell everyone about her! "Now can we please fix this place up and go already? Haa… I want to sleep."

"If you sleep for more than 12 hours in one go I'm force feeding you a Senzu Bean." I doubted she used enough power to require several years of sleep but I wasn't going to let her use that as an excuse to be lazy.

We had taken several pieces of the captured gods (excluding Nyx) for future use then healed their bodies using our abilities and a Senzu Bean. After that, we returned back to normal space, dumped the gods back in their domain in the Underworld (thanks to Demeter's extracted information), fixed the cafe and departed for another country.

Meredith did not want to be in the United Kingdom for when she released her control over the people she brainwashed using her Sacred Gear, Alphecca Tyrant, during her time under Aka Manah's possession.

It was easy to get to Bucharest when I could just make our travel time zero. [Absolute Space] has most of my favorite conceptual applications; I love it so much. Sorry Sothis. Relationship ended with [Time], now [Space] is my best friend.

"Why Bucharest?" Meredith popped the question as we walked through the streets without catching anyone's attention. Hurray for magics that divert attention away from us.

"I'm going to save a Dhampir Princess from having her soul abused and extracted by the son of Lucifer as part of his plans to end the world by unleashing Trihexa."

"I understand the first part, but I'm drawing a blank on the second half."

"H-hwaaah! Did someone say Dhampir Princess? I could have sworn we're thinking about the same Sephiroth Graal user I was keeping tabs on." Nyx woke up from her 'nap' in a groggy manner upon my back (since I beat her, it was my responsibility to carry her).

"Morning, Lady Nyx."

"Morning, Meredith—wait, the sun's setting! It's evening! Thought you could catch me out, could you!?"

"Almost did~" The two of them seemed to be sharing an internal joke among themselves. Guess they don't have any hard feelings about everything. Meredith was confident enough in our strength that she didn't believe Nyx could make a move against her even if the goddess had wanted to either.

"Is it such a big deal?" I asked, getting a passionate response from my passenger.

"Of course it is! I'm the goddess of the night. If I can't even tell what time of day it is, I'll be a laughing stock."

These gods are worrying about the strangest things! And I'm a dragon god that does art as a hobby.

"Anyways, instead of carrying me like this…" Nyx swung herself off my back while hanging on to me, then repositioned herself in a very comfortable place in front of me, all the while giving me a lustful and inviting look. "How about we get straight to making some new children?"

I hid my eagerness and hummed with approval. Fuck yeah. My plan worked! In this position, I could just drop my pants, rip a part of her dress off, and have my dick pressing against her womb within 5 seconds.

Sothis smirked and glanced at Demeter, "Hey look, she's even more forward than you were."

"We are not alike! I sought love and she wants to breed immediately like Zeus!" Demeter denied the allegations.

"Hey, don't compare me with the old man. At least I don't wait around disguised as an injured animal before—" Meredith looked like she was walking on auto-pilot as the discussion between goddesses started revolving around sex. Hmm, what to do… book a room in a hotel and fuck them hard? Or business before pleasure? Decisions… decisions...

I took out my phone and started making purchases using my newly gained points to add more convenience to our lives.
