Issei POV
Almost four months have passed since the Hyoudou residence was renovated into a super luxurious manor with six floors up and three floors down. Yet, we still continued to find new rooms and functions hidden throughout the house.
"Let's have a bath together since we have this occasion".
Rias suggested when a mysterious door suddenly appeared in the corner of their huge bath… to reveal an even larger bath with a tropical jungle theme!
Installations that show up after some time have passed huh… Just how many secrets does the Hyoudou residence hold after going through renovation during summer…? The designer recommended by Ajuka Beelzebub really was something!
Issei had a lot of questions and no time to consider any of them since he was constantly distracted by the oppai bonanza right in front of his eyes.
Rias, Akeno, the Church-Trio, Koneko, Ravel… (Ophis swimming backwards while ignoring us) everyone was really getting along.
"Geez, Kuroka-san ate the Minoya's egg-rich pudding I kept in the fridge! I won't forgive her! I definitely won't!"
Koneko apologized to Ravel with her cat ears down, "I'm sorry, Ravel. I will make sure I tell Nee-sama. And I will buy you a new pudding."
Ravel shook her head at seeing Koneko who was really feeling bad about it. "No… It's not something you should be apologizing about, Koneko-san. I'm angry at Kuroka-san, so you don't have to apologize to me!"
"…Even so…she is my sister after all…"
Koneko and Ravel were really bonding over troublesome older siblings. Having his two juniors getting along even more made Issei smile with contentment.
…And then he happened to compare Ravel and Koneko oppai… Aaaaaah, he still had Koneko's matured appearance burnt in his memory! In the future, she will have a nice body like that! So he will definitely be looking forward to it! Even if she was currently-
-Issei promptly had a bath bucket thrown at his head! Ouch!
"…I know that I can't beat the current Ravel, so anyway, I decided to throw that at you."
Sasuga Koneko! Like always, she can listen to his thoughts whenever breasts came to mind!
"…Please don't stare at me that much, Ise-sama…"
At Ravel's shy response to his staring, he had no choice but to look away when Koneko started glaring at him harshly like always. Well, if he compared Koneko's harsh looks to the ones she used to give her sister...the tension Koneko and Kuroka had before is definitely disappearing. Koneko's frequent warnings to Kuroka had already become part of their daily routine.
Issei hoped that every day could be as peaceful as this.
Ever since the events that took place in Romania involving the vampires, Rizevim, and the appearance of two dragon gods from another world... things had gotten somewhat hectic for a while. Right now, Azazel-sensei had gone over to meet with Shiva, the strongest being (excluding Great Red), to get more information on their group.
Even though Azazel-sensei had been removed from his position as Governor, his personal connections with many of the influential and powerful beings of the world were still being put to use by the new Governor, Shemhazai.
… On the other hand, the Grigori really should just put Azazel-sensei back as Governor, if only to stop him from going wild, or just throw him into Cocytus!
It was already terrifying enough when he had been granted freedom to pursue his own hobbies, but with the visitors from another world arriving here, he had a really excited look on his face that made Issei want to leave the country to avoid getting caught up in whatever troublesome matter the madman cooks up.
… Ahhh, there's no point in thinking about such things. It's already out of his hands, with Issei's track record, he knew that he just had to roll with the punches.
Time to think of more pleasant things, like Oppai… speaking of Oppai, if Kuroka had been in the house then she would have surely joined them in the bath.
After forming the counter-terrorist team D×D, Kuroka and Le Fay have officially started living here and, unexpectedly, they had both blended in here quickly. They were living here in the Hyoudou residence even before the formation of the team, so it was bound to happen at some point.
Right now, Kuroka and Le Fay had gone off to a nearby general store to do some shopping. Since they lived in this house, they had to buy some of the daily necessities that they lacked.
…Now then, Issei decided that he'll have a discussion with Le Fay and Ravel about his official pact with Le Fay once he got out of the bath. For now, he was planning to have a five-year pact with her. Simply having a one or two-year pact with her would be a waste, but he wasn't ready for a ten-year pact, as he still had no idea about where he would end up in that amount of time.
It wasn't an exaggeration to call Le Fay a good girl. Her abilities were outstanding as well. So a five-year pact is just about right… he thanked Ravel in his heart for handling everything and giving him a talented devil's perspective. But the one who came up with that was his talented manager, Ravel Phenex.
Issei continued to enjoy his bath until the rare sight of Rossweisse entering the bath with a towel entered his vision!
"P-Please become my boyfriend."
… Is this real life?
With Rossweisse's words, Issei and everyone (minus Ophis) froze.
The silence dragged on until it was broken by, ironically, Ophis.
"This presence…" Ophis had a rare, surprised expression on her face, "It's the big one."
Before they could form a response, the doorbell was being rung from the outside and Ophis had shot right out of the bath like a missile!
Everyone rushed out to the front door, the girls used magic to make some clothes while Issei activated Balance Breaker to save both time and his modesty-
"Om nom nom! Tasty~"
Ophis was clinging on (while munching on apparently homemade cookies) to that handsome bastard dragon god who stole Valerie for himself! Issei wasn't sure how to feel about the guy, or whether he was an enemy or an ally.
On one hand, he saved Valerie from her dickhead of a brother, on the other hand, Gasper's childhood friend was acting like one of those H-doujin slave girls Issei regularly fantasized about before he became a devil!
"Help yourself, I overdid it last night on the snacks for a peace offering anyways."
The white-haired dragon in human form had a gentle expression as he indulged Ophis.
"Lord Nikaias, take a look at this array, this part that unlocks new doors and rooms is attached to the security system in such an innovative way."
Issei saw a familiar-looking cute girl wearing something like a Japanese school uniform, that reddish-brown hair and blue eyes… ah, it took him a second, but he remembered that the girl was Meredith Ordinton!
Le Fay considered the girl a friend and an equally talented Magician. Meredith was also technically a terrorist on the run, apparently, she had been brainwashed by that bastard Hades and his evil god pals to do their dirty work, but then the gods from another world saved her.
Nikaias, Sothis and Demeter (who was different from the local Demeter) had recruited Meredith to protect her from the Pendragon family and the British authorities that wanted her punished and back under their control. For some reason, Nyx, a goddess that worked with Hades on their schemes, suddenly defected to the foreign gods!
The whole situation was somewhat hard to believe but they all seem to be working harmoniously together back in Romania so Issei and everyone else just had to accept it.
"Hmm, that's because it also works as a reactive security measure. Even the normal doors and rooms might get closed off or rearranged if there were invaders."
Issei just realized Meredith and Nikaias were talking about the Hyoudou residence.
"Oh! So that's how it works… I feel like my position as a security magic expert is being undermined again."
"I literally have continent-spanning protections back in my world so…"
"Aaah, just you wait! Once I learn your style of magic then I'll be better than you at security and sealing magic! I don't need to find a different niche!"
Meredith said something that sounded like it came out of his father's mouth whenever mom told him to just take up some rich friend's offer for a different job with less workplace competition.
"More." Ophis tapped the other dragon god's shoulder, making him almost stumble on the first hit, but the other taps seemed to have no effect on him. Wait, this force... is she seriously tapping him in her 'Die Baka Red' strength, not that she had all her strength anymore but Ophis still had a lot of her power…
The white-haired dragon god took out a box of donuts and handed it over.
"Oi, Ophis-chan, you shouldn't take food from strangers." Issei could only deal with the strange reality in front of him now.
"Not a stranger. I will make him my mate, and then make him cook for me every day."
"EHHHH!?" Issei and everyone else were shocked! Ophis suddenly proposed to someone!
Nikaias had a wry expression on his face, "This little visit of ours just got more complicated." He then plucked Ophis off his arm and then handed her over to Rias, Ophis was trying to grab onto him with her short arms but he was softly batting them away, "I'm not a lolicon, you'll have to look like Meredith's age at the minimum before I consider marriage."
"I seem to recall a certain someone being married to a certain dragon goddess back when she looked barely older than Ophis." Meredith teased slightly and ended up annoying the dragon god, though his reply seemed as calm as ever.
"My love for her was pure and devoid of any form of sexual intimacy for centuries until her form was restored. Now that I have discovered the pleasures of sex my standards have changed to better match that of lawful humans."
Issei couldn't help but see those two as good friends, he found it difficult to believe that he once considered the idea that Nikaias was brainwashing Valerie and was using his overwhelming power to have his way with her.
Rias stepped in at this point to restore a semblance of normality to the situation.
"I've already got Nyx to send the invitations to your brother and a couple of other people we're interested in meeting here at Kuoh. Also, I have a tourist visa for Japan and I'm not really connected to the supernatural world here, so don't expect me to care about any territorial arrangements among the supernatural when I'm not even going to stay in this world for long. I'm just here for Meredith's sake."
Issei felt that the dragon god was being a little rude to Rias and felt like punching him, but again, the person in front of them was a god and there wasn't anything they could do about it.
He could still remember the sight of the white-haired god cutting Euclid in half with the flick of his finger while Issei was struggling against the devil. As he was now, Issei stood no chance against the dragon god from another world.
"We heard that Le Fay has been staying here lately. Is she in or is she hiding in the basement level where her room is?" Meredith asked while blatantly using magic to show their building's entire floor plans! "I would have found out myself but it'll take me another handful of minutes to fully hijack your magical surveillance systems."
What's with this genius magician?! Was his home's security compromised in just a couple of minutes?
Rias shared his frustration and was looking just as annoyed with their visitors.
"... She'll be back in a few minutes." Rias offered to let them both in and share a cup of tea, but the two of them declined, saying that they didn't plan to stay for long.
"Ah! Merediiiiith!" A yellow blur crashed into the magician in front of their house!
Issei had never seen Le Fay looking so excited to see someone before. Even Irina hadn't greeted him like that! Could this be the difference between mutual female best friends and self-proclaimed childhood friends?
"Ow! Le Fay, what are you, stop patting me everywhere! What are you doing?"
"Whew! You're alright! Vali said that he knew someone that suffered from dark possession magic before and that there were side effects-"
"-Geez, I'm alright, okay? Sothis shared some energy with me when expelling Angra Mainyu from my body so I didn't need to suffer for long."
Nikaias awkwardly scratched his cheek, as if he had just remembered something inconvenient. Issei only recognized that look because he knew Matsuda had the same tic whenever his friend thought about accidentally leaving his porn mags out in the open.
Meredith and Le Fay started chatting excitedly about their living standards as terrorists.
Issei almost forgot that the cute blonde magician was ever an enemy of theirs. Come to think of it, he really couldn't remember any time when Le Fay ever fought them, it was usually the rest of Vali's team...
"Is everyone going to block the entrance nya!?" Kuroka was apparently saddled with all the shopping bags and looked really ticked off, beyond that, however, Issei could see that Kuroka was ready to fight at any moment.
Compared to everyone else whose tension had disappeared after watching Nikaias and Ophis together like that, Kuroka was still on the edge and ready to fight or flee in an instant.
"Miss Kuroka, you better have compensated me for the pudding you stole!"
Ravel really didn't forget about the pudding at all! Kuroka wasn't even looking the slightest bit guilty.
"Well if it's pudding you want…" Nikaias snapped his fingers and brought out several floating plates of desserts, "Consider this a gift, I'll send them to your dining room for you all to share."
Koneko and Ophis chased after the food without hesitation. Whatever united front that they initially showed had been broken by the power of sweets!
"Miss Ravel, I'll be going out for a while to catch up with my friend."
"That's fine. Right, Ise-sama, don't you want to tell her?"
"O-oh! Le Fay, let's make a contract together later alright?"
"Hehe, of course."
If it weren't for Ravel, Issei would have forgotten to inform Le Fay on his decision, once again, he is thankful for his manager! Come to think of it, is it really alright for Le Fay to just go with the group led by the dragon god from a different world?
Well, they seemed like nice people, so it's probably alright. Although, her brother Arthur would definitely disagree and try to attack them since he's overprotective like that… Issei can't help but think he was forgetting something.
"Hey Kiba, am I forgetting something?" He asked his friend who had dropped by after receiving a magic transmitted message from Rias when Nikaias and Meredith appeared.
"... Come to think of it, it does feel like we've ignored something important." Kiba seemed to agree with Issei.
"Ahhhh! Where's Valerie!?" Gasper had just arrived and started asking about Valerie… wait, shouldn't he be more concerned about Valerie as well!?
Issei thought for a bit and suddenly started remembering a lot of other things they discussed the dragon god's group, like Ingvild 'Leviathan', the alliance of gods under Hades from what they learned through Nyx, Meredith's really scary ability to brainwash other people with her Sacred Gear...
… Could it be that they just got brainwashed into not putting up a fight-
-nah, it's probably nothing.
Le Fay should be fine, besides, Meredith is Le Fay's good friend.
There's nothing to be worried about.
Meanwhile in the Underworld...
"Ah, to be nursed back to health by my beloved sister~"
"-I'm only fixing your broken nose so that you can give us information smoothly."
"Please scold me more sister. Doesn't this remind you of our childhood when I-"
If they didn't need her brother's information so desperately then Grayfia would have punched her idiotic brother herself!
Her foolish yet brilliant brother had just galvanized that lunatic Rizevim into releasing Trihexa, which would all but assure great destruction and a huge loss of life, in the best case scenario.
Grayfia's husband, Sirzechs, had just left the interrogation room after punching Euclid's face in when he started spouting nonsense about how 'he didn't deserve her' among other rude things.
And since Euclid wasn't going to speak to anyone unless it was Grayfia herself, she had no choice but to treat this highly intelligent, but most definitely insane idiot to make the best use of their time.
Eventually, she had managed to get sufficient information on Qlippoth's plans to unleash the Apocalypse Beast, various locations where Evil Dragons are being created and several ways the plan could be accelerated.
Unfortunately, Grayfia had to promise on her pride that she would visit him regularly from now on, just to get all the useful pieces of information in an expedient manner. The things she does for the husband... and the Underworld, by extension.
The moment she had completed her task, she activated the magic circle given to her and teleported right into the designated meeting room, a few steps behind Sirzechs.
"-and Elmenhilde Karnstein have stated they'll be consolidating their territory and enforcing the new constitution. Ah-"
"-Apologies. Please don't mind me and continue."
Shemhazai, Grigori's new Governor-General, continued on about the state of the Vampire Faction after Rizevim's actions and how they were starting anew with the help of the 'visiting gods'.
Azazel stood between Shemhazai and Sirzechs, the latter was standing next to Serafall… who was occasionally shooting glances at the Seraph Gabriel next to her. Gabriel, Michael and Azazel seem to be the only ones in an optimistic mood today.
Grayfia's information retrieved from Euclid's 'interrogation' served to improve the atmosphere significantly and they quickly came up with an initial framework to deal with Rizevim.
"Hold on, Euclid said that other Holy Artifacts can speed up the unsealing process?" Shemhazai asked, "Did he give any examples?"
"The Holy Grail, the Holy Cross or Incinerate Anthem and the Holy Nail." Grayfia replied.
"We have the fragments of the true Holy Grail properly secured." Michael added, "As for the Incinerate Anthem…"
He looked at Azazel, who shook his head, "Still no sign of Walburga. But as for the Holy Nail…"
An image of Meredith Ordinton and related information regarding the girl was produced through their viewing technology.
"Rizevim won't be getting his hands on it anytime soon. For obvious reasons." Azazel smirked.
Everyone but Michael and Gabriel had the urge to follow Azazel's example.
If the old fool made a move on the 'terrorist' (as declared by the British authorities and Pendragon family had) then their Rizevim problem would be dealt with in no time at all. The battle itself shook all the realms, the planet had been cut apart and reformed as if nothing had happened near instantly by the powers of the new goddess, practically everyone had seen or at least felt the battle that took place in space. And then there was the last clash that involved the full release of Shiva's destructive power against Sothis's powers of creation... Azazel was happy enough to have watch if all from his very safe position on the ground.
They also found it ironic that visitors from another world literally dropped in after Rizevim left declaring that he wanted to invade other worlds with Trihexa at this beck and call. Beings from another world did arrive in theirs, just not for the sake of war, as Rizevim had intended.
Azazel's limited observations and a recent chat with Shiva had given them a good deal of insight into the gods from another world and the people they were gathering together. Sothis had dropped by to speak with Shiva again just before Azazel had made to do so, which made things convenient for them as the alliance now had a leg up over everyone else on the new 'visitors'.
Odin had been too 'busy' to join the meeting, nor did he send a representative, so the Norse faction would just have to get the information a little later.
"Sothis is a very motherly type of dragon, she's practically already adopted the girls they gathered up, and well, I'll like to see Rizevim survive having a planet detonated with him inside of it. And then there's Demeter and their mutual husband, Nikaias, to consider…"
Azazel went on to describe their divine domains, the situation surrounding Meredith and Nyx, then to his own thoughts on Valerie Tepes and Ingvild 'Leviathan' given everything he gathered thus far.
The circumstance around the descendant of the original Leviathan was a headache and a half so they decided to talk about the girl later.
Sirzechs frowned worriedly at the end of Azazel's information dump, "Having self-proclaimed 'visitors' of that power going around recruiting our people for a faraway battle against an out-of-universe threat doesn't sound like good news."
A strong goddess and three possible new Longinus users were going to leave with the three gods back to their world. It would definitely deprive their world of three powerful Sacred Gears and could cause strife with the Greek pantheon despite Nyx's near complete lack of interaction with her own family's affairs.
"They passed on an invitation to speak further through Shiva, rather than making a hasty decision, let us go meet with them." Michael was neutral of the group, wary of their power but also keen on potentially making a deal for those 'Senzu Beans' that Shiva had gotten from them.
Naturally, as good healing items were in short supply, a food item that could do substantial healing and recover a good amount of an insanely powerful being's energy at the same time would be classified as a Miracle level item. All members of the Alliance had wanted it and it appeared that Sothis (and the rest of the visitors) knew it too.
It was also conceivable that they had either used a Senzu Bean or used one of their native magical spells to heal Ingvild from the sleeping disease that plagued many devils. If they were able to secure the cure for sleeping disease that could strike at any devil, or at least acquire their services to heal a good amount of important devils from it, then the Maou Faction would gain a great deal of popularity and influence over the Great King Faction led by Zekram Bael, which would let them push and enforce their policies further.
The Grigori, Azazel especially, were craving the opportunity to follow along in a 'visit' to another world to advance their knowledge further. Sothis had revealed to Shiva that some of their gods had arrived from the stars, as in, were actually aliens. Demeter, for example, was a smaller part of an even larger Machine God that could wipe out the solar system with relative ease! Azazel's observations on Demeter's somewhat robotic speech and how she assisted Valerie to perform a mass resurrection of the vampires support the fact that the other world's Greek Pantheon were powerful machine gods. If they researched their technology then they could advance their knowledge by leaps and bounds!
As for the Heaven Faction, they weren't particularly greedy for more power or influence like the other members of the Alliance. Their concerns were mainly on how it would impact the stability and security of Heaven and their followers. Michael thought it would be good to attend the meeting and use their inherent ability to detect lies to gauge whether they were a threat or not. He didn't think they were evil since they assisted an innocent girl from being used by an evil god, rescued Valerie (albeit with dubious intentions), helped settle things in Romania and captured Euclid Lucifuge for them.
"I wonder if there are magical girls in another world?" Serafall was also contemplating the deep mysteries of the other world during the meeting. "Hey Gabriel, what do you think?"
Serafall froze at the beautiful sight of Gabriel staring dreamily at someone, or rather, a specific image among all the data being viewed by everyone.
"Gabriel?"
"Hmm, yes?"
"I-is everything alright?"
"Oh, yes! My apologies, I was distracted slightly. There's just something about this one, Nikaias, that is… interesting. Oh, I'm not sure how to explain it. Did you say something Serafall?"
"N-nevermind! It's nothing important."
Serafall wasn't sure why but she really wanted to blast that white-haired dragon god in the face even if doing so would be courting death.
"Hmm, I just got a message from my Ria-tan~" Sirzechs spoke up all of a sudden, "It looks like Nikaias and Meredith made an appearance in Kuoh."
"Did anything happen?" Shemhazai questioned.
"Aside from Ophis proclaiming Nikaias as her 'mate' so that he can cook for her every day, nothing else of import." Sirzechs answered with an amused smile.
"Well, that makes things convenient then. Perhaps we can visit Kuoh a bit earlier than scheduled."
Michael's suggestion made Gabriel's eyes sparkle with delight.
Le Fay POV
Le Fay was having a wonderful time reconnecting with her friend Meredith and meeting new people!
Nikaias and Meredith brought her into their 'family' pocket dimension; it was a beautiful tropical island with a wonderful ocean and an enormous manor.
Time flows differently here thanks to Sothis (who was super fun and nice to be with) and Le Fay could spend up to three days here before she needed to return for dinner.
She spent a lot of her time with Meredith and two other potential Longinus's wielders, Ingvild and Valerie who were really nice girls that suffered greatly. After hearing their stories and what Nikaias had done for them, Le Fay came to realize that the gods from another world weren't bad people at all. She came to greatly admire them all, Nikaias especially (and not just for his looks which made her heart go wild), after hearing that he started learning others as a god just after he had formed as a dragon, which meant that he must have an inherently benevolent nature.
Admittedly, the great food made by Nikaias also influenced her opinion, after all, no one that made food that tasty could ever be a bad person! Le Fay felt that she had been ruined for any lesser cuisine now, she would most certainly turn down any of Vali's instant ramen noodles when offered again.
Aside from playing on the beach, enjoying top class food, and sharing stories with each other, Le Fay had also spent time with Nikaias and his wives, Sothis and Demeter (Nyx was on the waiting list apparently) learning about their world and magic.
They also gifted her their research on the Biblical God's magic since she was a friend of Meredith's. Truly, Le Fay had a wonderful friend!
"Le Fay, please forgive me, I've been a terrible friend."
"EH?! What are you saying all of a sudden? I'm sure you're exaggerating."
Meredith almost made her drop her food! Nikaias had just finished preparing her lunch on her final surprise vacation day, it would be a travesty to have all that food ruined because Meredith wanted to play a prank on her.
"I'm serious, I'm… well, okay, I'll start off with the small things first."
"Alright, nom nom… I'm listening."
Meredith stared at her for a moment, before shrugging, "Yeah, sorry, you have a point. No sense in letting the food get cold."
They postponed their talk until after they finished eating. Nikaias' home-cooked food first, important talks second!
"First thing, though I detest the inherent abilities of my Sacred Gear, I did in fact use it to lower the propensity for hostile acts among the Hyoudou Residence and Kuroka. I didn't do anything more than that, and it would only last a couple of hours, but I still did it to the Dragon Emperor which I had heard, you are a big fan of, and his friends and family."
Le Fay thought for a moment and saw that Meredith looked genuine about it, and so she forgave her, "That's alright, I forgive you. Besides, I understand that they have… misunderstandings with your new family-" Especially when it came to Valerie, but after spending some time with them and understanding their motives for coming here (the Velber sounds super terrifying), Le Fay had become supportive of their actions, "-so I'm glad that you did everything you could to prevent a fight. I do know that the current Red Dragon Emperor can be rather reckless, just like Vali."
Her auburn-haired friend then continued on after smiling slightly, "Thank you. Uh, well, as for the second thing… it's alright if you want to stop being friends with me after hearing me out. Simply put, I've been very jealous of you."
"Eh? Why?" Le Fay was surprised, she didn't think her talented friend would ever be jealous about her over anything.
"Simply put, I… I did some thinking, it was wrong of me, but I was jealous over your bravery in following your brother to join Vali in his adventures… or misadventures if we're talking about the terrorist parts."
"Hehe, there were a lot of other misadventures, like that time in Atlantis."
Le Fay knew that Meredith loved hearing about them, her friend was a mischievous person at heart even back then at the Golden Dawn.
"Yes, you told me that one last night. Moving on, I resented you and bad-mouthed you privately for leaving the Golden Dawn and doing all those things that, in my heart, I felt that I could have done instead."
"Meredith…"
"Of course, in the end, I was just being a cowardly jealous bitch and had no right to speak badly of your choices when I wanted to have done the exact same thing. I just kept thinking that, 'no wonder Le Fay could do it, she's so talented and was born into the Pendragon family" while ignoring your own merits to make me feel better of myself."
She didn't know her friend felt that way. Even so, none of that was as bad as Meredith made it out to be, at least, not to Le Fay Pendragon. Meredith hadn't deliberately spread horrid rumors about her and kept her own feelings in her heart, she had even reflected and changed for the better.
Le Fay wasn't at all like her famous ancestor so she naturally forgave her friend.
"Oh, you're too good for me Le Fay… mn, is it wrong for me to say that I look forward to you forgiving me for the last bit?"
"Meredith! You shouldn't say it like it's a foregone conclusion." Le Fay pouted insincerely, she had a hunch that it wasn't as bad as Meredith suggested it was.
"Well…" Meredith inched closer to her and began telling her tale, "It takes a while to get around to it. I'll start off with my, admittedly irrational grudge, against the Royal Family…"
Le Fay patiently listened to her friend's backstory and subsequent re-evaluation of her views thanks to Nikaias and learning about how bloodlines matter less in his world, "To sum it up, while I mostly gave up any ideas on vengeance, I decided to be petty and came up with a little plot involving you."
"Hmm, and what might that be?" Le Fay asked curiously, figuring that it wasn't anything malicious.
Meredith smiled naughtily and hugged Le Fay all of a sudden, "I've decided to steal you away from the Pendragon Family, from Britain and this world."
Le Fay blushed and stuttered, "W-what are you talking about?"
"Hehe, I'm going to make you want to leave this world and join us in the other world."
Make me? Le Fay thought for a moment and wondered if Meredith had used Alphecca Tyrant on her. It would explain a lot of things, like how she couldn't get mad at Meredith or how she didn't think it was a bad idea to follow Meredith along.
Now that she contemplated the idea, she didn't feel bad about the mere thought of leaving her brother behind, forgetting about the contract with Issei Hyoudou, her commitments with Vali, and her friends.
All in all, after hearing about the opportunities in the other world, to learn and develop new forms of power, the chance to spend more time with her friend and Nikaias… it all sounded like a delightful experience and pleasant way to live her life.
Even though she might have been brainwashed, the idea of having her mind altered by her good friend to the point where she left everything she knew for a new world, a new life where she would most likely end up joining Meredith as one of Nikaias' lovers was a surprisingly nice train of thought.
"I'm not angry. I'm really not. But did you really-?"
"Nope. Not at all." Meredith smiled happily, seemingly pleased with Le Fay's reaction, "You're my friend Le Fay, I didn't and would not have used my Sacred Gear on you. That's the best part, what you're thinking, about leaving everything behind to come with Nikaias and I… that's all you."
"That's… all me?"
"Of course! Why don't you try casting a couple of spells, you know, the ones to check your mental condition?"
Le Fay did all the spells correctly and did find no signs of a major perception or memory change.
"I'm sorry for doubting you."
"No, please, it was right of you to be suspicious."
The fact that all her thoughts did in fact originate from her heart greatly embarrassed Le Fay!
"Noooo! You turned me into a perverted girl!"
"Huh? Wait, what does leaving for a new life got to-"
Le Fay ran away and used magic to change her clothes, she was about to leave for the portal immediately, only to remember her manners and rushed off to say her goodbyes to everyone.
It was especially hard to do so in front of Nikaias when she had just seriously considered becoming his wife, but Le Fay managed to do so and was given a dragon bone wand as a gift from him.
"I hope to see you again, Le Fay."
"Yes. I look forward to seeing you again. That is um… about your offer to tag along with Meredith for awhile…"
"Ah, you're willing to join Meredith for a week then?"
"No! Um, I mean, maybe a month or two, or a bit more?"
The dragon god smiled brightly, and joyously proclaimed, "Really? That's wonderful. I'll make sure you get the best treatment possible, in other words, whatever my wives get."
"Awawawa- t-that's very much appreciated. Anyways, I will be going now."
"Yes, stay safe. Oh, by the way, I don't know this Japan enough and I was wondering if you heard of any good bars to visit from your older friends?"
"A bar? Mnn, well…" Le Fay remembered Vali talking about one bar in particular, "How about the Black Dog bar?"
"That sounds like a very interesting place. Thank you for that Le Fay-"
Huh? What is this feeling? Is he petting her head? Why does it feel so nice, it feels better than how big brother does it…
"You're such a good girl."
Le Fay left through the portal with a skip in her step. She felt a little bit bad about canceling some of her other appointments for the next week, but it was for the best, it wouldn't be fair to anyone if she were to commit to anything when she was going to leave for a new world.
