In the heart of New York City, Phoebe and her husband John lived a life filled with love, laughter, and a shared passion for all things supernatural. As members of the famous Ghostbusters team, they spent their days battling ghosts and ghouls with unwavering courage and camaraderie.
On one fateful April Fool's Day, Phoebe decided to play a mischievous prank on her beloved husband. She enlisted the help of one of their most devoted Ghostbusters fans, a young man named Alex, to pretend to be her secret lover. Little did she know that this innocent joke would soon spiral out of control.
Callie and Gary warned Phoebe not to do this sort of deed as this might not end in utter laughter. Phoebe assures them that everything is going to go smoothly. Callie and Gary will not be around when the act comes into play and let Phoebe ride her donkey of foolish stupidity. When getting things ready for her big prank, Phoebe waited until John returned from a day of busting with Podcast and Trevor.
As John returned home from a long day at work, he was greeted by an unexpected sight. sight. His own wife Phoebe locked in a passionate embrace with the guy named Alex. Shock and disbelief washed over him as he watched them kiss, his heart breaking into pieces before his very eyes.
But what truly shattered him was the look on Phoebe's face. She gave him a proud smirk followed by a playful wink directed at him. Anger flared within John as he saw red, unable to comprehend why his wife would betray him in such a cruel manner.
"You son of a bitch!." John yelled in utter anger.
Without hesitation, John lunged at Alex with fists flying, unleashing his pent-up rage upon the unsuspecting young man. The room echoed with grunts and cries as John pummeled Alex relentlessly while Phoebe desperately tried to intervene. Podcast and Trevor can only watch as this is not everyday they see in the firehouse.
"John!. No, Stop!. It's just a prank!." Phoebe cried out amidst the chaos, her voice trembling with fear and regret. But her words fell on deaf ears as John's fury consumed him completely.
It was only when Alex lay bruised and battered on the ground that John finally paused, breathing heavily as he turned to face Phoebe. Tears welled up in her eyes as she explained how it was all meant to be a harmless joke gone terribly wrong.
"Phoebe what you did was not a harmless prank. It was a harmful one. I can't believe you would do something like this." John shook his head while being heartbroken.
"John, I…I…" Phoebe tried to say something to defend her case but failed.
"I don't want to hear it." John walked past Phoebe. "I will be staying at Ray's bookstore for a while."
Overwhelmed by guilt and remorse during that time after April first, Phoebe made the attempt to reach out to comfort her wounded husband but found herself met with cold silence. The trust between them had been shattered irreparably by this cruel twist of fate.
"Mom and Gary were right." Phoebe shed tears and did not bother to wipe them.
And so, on that fateful April Fool's Day, love became tainted by betrayal and forgiveness seemed like an impossible dream for Phoebe Spengler and her husband John. Two souls torn apart by a prank gone awry.
