Midoriya Izuku, his story could be summarized with a simple word "tragedy". Izuku began as an innocent child with a clear obsession with heroes, his favorite, the number 1 prohero "All Might". I feel like he is the only son and with an absent father who left him, his mother was the only figure he had and she had to work twice as hard to raise her little son.
The years passed and the life of the green-haired young man only got worse. When he reached the age of 4, all the children around him began to manifest their powers. For years it had been implied that quirks manifested in children up to the age of 4 normally, with rare cases of delays until the age of 4. 5 or 6 years old.
Izuku: Mommy... —The little boy with green hair looked at his mother, she was sitting on the couch next to him. They were both watching the news, one of the boy's favorite activities since this way he could see the heroes he admired so much. My...my gift j-just got delayed...right? I st-still have a chance to be a hero, right?
Inko: —The 31-year-old mother felt her chest constrict at the brittle voice of her only son. She had to be strong, she couldn't look fragile, not in front of him. "O-of course darling, don't worry my boy." She pulled him close to herself to surround him with her arms while she placed a soft kiss on his forehead. I know that my little Izuku will be a great hero, and you are going to light up this world just like you lit up mine." He kissed his son's forehead again, making him laugh.
Izuku: hahaha, mom...m-you tickle me—The boy wriggled trying to free himself from his mother.
Inko: A hero must know how to adapt to any situation, you must find a was out of any situation. He moved his hands to his son's ribs to tickle him even more, increasing his laughter. Come on son you can do it
Izuku: hahaha! Mommy stop tickling me so much! —Controlling his laughter, he managed to escape from his mother's grasp, showing a big smile—. I am the big hero Izuku! And I will not fall to any villain! The boy took the classic victory pose of the number one hero.
Inko: —A smile of genuine happiness appeared on her face, once again she had managed to clear all of her son's doubts—. That's right son, you will be the best hero of all, the one who illuminates the world with his smile. She hugged him again while kissing his cheek. Remember you will always be my lucky star.
Time passed and the lack of a Quirk stopped being a simple delay for Izuku. Inko knew it and that only made her stressed. How do you tell your child that he or she will never have power? Can he never be a hero?
The more days passed, the more difficult it became for him, he couldn't think of anything better than to encourage him and lie to him, let his little illusion remain and hope that one day he...just manages to accept it. Of course, the situation they found themselves in did not help at all, Izuku did not give up on his dream, she did not stop playing with him at being a hero and added to the harassment of a certain blonde-haired boy it simply...made everything worse.
Until one day the boy approached his mother and asked her to visit a doctor, the worst became present, Inko was not ready but her son would not take no for an answer. Without any other options, the woman accepted, a decision she quickly regretted.
Doctor: You should give up —The doctor was quick and concise, leaving the little boy in shock as he dropped a doll of his favorite hero.
Inko: W-what do you mean doctor? —Deep down I knew the answer to his question, but I still had a small glimmer of hope, I had to have it for him.
Doctor: When the powers became present, the scientists quickly realized that there was also another change in humans...an evolution, the loss of this joint of the foot -The man pointed to the little toe of the foot in an x-ray of the child- ... Nowadays it is rare to see a young child of this generation with it, but as you can see the little one still has it...in short... —He turned to see the boy and his mother—. You will never have a power or quirk as they are called today, this is a clear and strong sign of it
Inko collapsed right there, she couldn't hold back her tears as she watched her little son cry uncontrollably in complete shock as all his dreams shattered in front of him. He couldn't say anything to her, the words were stuck in his trembling mouth, a shaky hug being the only action he could take. A few minutes later the doctor asked them to leave because he had more patients to see.
Neither of them said anything along the way, night was beginning to fall but the young mother still wanted to cheer up her son. While they were walking, he visualized a small ice cream shop. He asked him with the best smile he could muster if he was hungry, to which the boy just nodded his head. After ordering two ice creams to eat on the way, they continued in the direction of their home. The atmosphere was still cold and silent, the young mother did not know what to say, how could she get over this, would she have the strength to get through it? Both of their thoughts were interrupted when a loud explosion echoed through the streets followed by screams, which alerted them to the danger.
It was a villain and some hero fighting in the middle of the street, Inko did not hesitate twice before taking her son in her arms and running in the direction of the nearest building that she saw open, it was a safer place to be inside than outside where the fight was taking place. main. They entered a small building that was barely three stories high. Apparently many others had the same idea as they were instantly pushed to the second floor by the large number of civilians that entered the building. The battle seemed to continue to escalate in magnitude as the explosions and small tremors only increased with every passing second.
Izuku: I wonder which hero is fighting?
Inko: I don't know, we should have gone home as soon as possible, I made us late for eating that ice cream - The mother felt guilty for being in this situation, she knew that heroes always did everything possible to save civilians but she didn't take it away. fact of being worried about her son—.
Izuku: Don't worry, mom, I know that... you did it to cheer me up — Now the little boy lowered his head in shame. Thank you... —He hugged her legs tightly causing some tears to run down his mother's cheeks—. And don't worry, the hero will protect us, he will save all of us-...
Suddenly a large explosion destroyed a part of the walls and the roof of the building, the blow knocked out the two members of the Midoriya family. Inko was the first to wake up, she was sore and felt very hot, when she opened her eyes wide she discovered that she was trapped by some rubble and the other parts of the building that had not collapsed were beginning to catch fire.
Inko: Izuku! Izuku! —He screamed at the top of his lungs, but his screams were muffled by other screams from the other civilians and the still constant explosions of the fight—. Izuku!
On the other hand, on the first floor, the little green-haired boy was regaining his sore senses. He felt a thin thread of red liquid go down from his head to his forehead and cheek, he also realized that his foot was trapped between some rubble and that his ears kept hearing a ringing that did not allow him to hear what else was happening near him. the. He looked up and saw a large hole that went through the roof of the building and continued until he was on the first floor where he was. It seemed that something passed through him and then he came out again through the same hole. Was it the villain?
He stopped looking up to check his surroundings and then his hearing returned, hitting him violently with the screams of despair and pain of all the civilians trapped in the rubble. But that was not all because he suddenly saw the lifeless bodies of some people crushed in the rubble, the scene chilled his skin and caused nausea in his stomach.
Izuku: Mommy! Mommy! —The frightened boy began to scream loudly as he writhed to free his trapped leg—.
Civilian: Shh...it's okay little one, everything is fine - A young man with three eyes appeared in front of the child with a sweet smile -. We'll find your mother, okay? Just let me set you free first
Using all the strength he could, he managed to lift the rubble enough to free the child. When he managed to do so, he tried to guide him to an exit to save him, but the little boy refused to leave without his mother. The civilian had no choice but to accompany him through the almost ruined building while it continued to burn.
Izuku: mom! Mommy! —He screamed at the top of his lungs as he tried to climb the stairs that were destroyed—.
Civilian: We won't be able to go up here, we have to get out before the smoke makes us faint. The other heroes will arrive, they will save your mother, I must save you.
Izuku: No! I have to find her…please… —Tears flooded her eyes—.
Civilian: —He tried to speak but another explosion caused more debris to fall from the ceiling, frightening him—. S-I'm sorry...I have to leave here, I'm sorry kid...
The man ran out of the building leaving the child alone, Izuku wasted no time and climbing the stairs as best he could with difficulty. When I reached the second floor I heard more screams of people but this time they were happy.
Woman: He's here, he's here!
Child: All Might! We are here, save us!
Many: All Might! All Might!
The screams of joy only increased while a characteristic laugh filled the atmosphere. Izuku smiled enthusiastically, his hero was here, although he had not seen him yet but that laugh did not lie to him. He quickly left his fanaticism to continue searching for his mother, now that he knew that All Might was here he had no doubt that they would come out safely but it did not remove his concern about looking for her and being with her.
It didn't take long before he heard her voice, when he saw her she was still trapped in the rubble. I don't hesitate to run up to her and hug her with all my strength.
Izuku: Don't worry, Mommy, All Might is already here! He will save us!
Inko: It's good that you're okay! The mother hugged her son tightly. S-she was so worried! —Tears ran down his cheeks as he kissed his son on the forehead—.
Izuku: Don't cry, mommy, he will save us, the other heroes will come too, everything will be fine —The boy tried to lift the rubble but he didn't have the strength.
The flames increased and the building continued to weaken, it seemed as if the structure would collapse at any moment. And no one had arrived yet, it was strange because the other people stopped hearing each other a long time ago. Were they isolated? Perhaps they were in another segment of the building that the heroes thought was empty?
Inko: Izuku...y-you must go—The woman looked into her son's eyes while caressing his cheeks—. I-I don't think he'll be there in time...
Izuku: No! I won't leave you! —He hugs his mother with all his strength—. He will come, he will come, he always comes, he always saves everyone! —Tears were running strongly from her eyes—.
Inko: S-sometimes a hero doesn't always arrive on time...it's fine, I'll be fine. Now all I want is for you to be safe, run and escape
Izuku: He'll arrive... he...
Young Hero: Someone is here! —Suddenly a hero with four arms entered through a gap in the wall, filling the child who was looking at him happily with relief. Don't worry, we're already here - The hero tried to lift the rubble that was holding Inko without success -. D-damn...it's heavy... —I continue trying, still without success—. S-sorry I don't have the strength...
Inko: Take out my son! —He shouted loudly when he noticed that the young hero was not achieving anything—. Call someone else but get them safe first!
The young hero nodded determinedly, taking the child in his arms who screamed desperately for his mother as he writhed in the young man's arms. Suddenly all the noise around her became almost inaudible as she screamed loudly, all those nights playing with her allowed her to find the opening between the hero's arms, taking a position that allowed her to kick him hard in his face, breaking free and falling. to ground.
Before the hero could do anything, the boy got up and ran to his mother without hearing her cries of begging for him to get out of there. Izuku didn't listen, he couldn't try to lift the rubble himself he had already tried, instead he ran to a column of the structure that showed a metal bar coming out of it. With all his strength he grabbed it and pulled it out.
Inko: Izuku! - I scream in despair -.
Young Hero: Stupid boy, you'll make the building collapse-...! —A second after removing the metal bar the building violently collapsed—.
[One hour later]
?: You're lucky he's still alive! —An unknown voice reached an unconscious Izuku's ears—.
?: It wasn't my fault, he kicked me and ran towards the pillar! —He recognized that voice clearly, it was the Hero who came to rescue them—.
?: We can put up with a death of an adult civilian, but that of an infant is a serious issue! I should take your license away right now
Izuku's eyes slowly opened, being hit by the light of a lamp above him. His whole body hurt, and some parts felt oppressed by some kind of cloth. Where was it? Where was his mother?
Young Hero: And what about him?! Technically this was his fight, the guy fights like he doesn't have civilians around!
?: He saved 90 people and defeated the villain who endangered them!
Young Hero: He saved the people on the third and second floors of that building. And yet he didn't realize that there were still two people trapped inside the second floor! —The hero raised his voice in anger—. If I hadn't decided to check just in case right now they would both be dead!
"Both of them? Are they talking about me and my mother?" Was the child's thought when listening to the discussion. Improving his vision, he realized that he was inside an ambulance, the doors were open, he tried to lift his head but could not when he noticed that he had a cervical splint on his neck.
?: Speak to me with more respect, young man, don't forget that I am the president of public security - The man spoke sternly -.
Young Hero: I don't give a shit! I did my job and I would have done it if that kid hadn't played the hero by causing the building to collapse killing his mother!
"Mom..." The tears didn't take long to come, the boy tried to move violently but he didn't have the strength, he tried to scream at the top of his lungs but not even his voice came out of him. "Mommy!" only inside his head the screams came out.
President of S.P: You will be suspended yor two months - He stated sharply, leaving the hero in silence. For insubordination to a superior, and you will not talk anything about this accident
Young Hero: What?! W-will they leave their mother's death a secret?!
President of S.P: And that of the other 12 civilians who died today, our symbol of peace is getting old. "We can't let the villains know, let the public know." The president looked sternly at the young man in front of him. And for your sake, I hope you keep your mouth closed. For the rest of the world, All Might won and saved everyone, and once again proved to be the symbol of peace that scares away villains and does not let a single life go out! Do you understand?!
Young Hero: ... —He looked away at the ambulance. Izuku continued to cry silently, unable to scream or move because of the pain, so no one realized he was awake. What...what will they do with him?
President S.P: We will get him treated, he will be healthy if that worries you. And what happens to anyone else is none of your business... —He approached the ambulance, closing the doors—. Now go
Shortly after, the ambulance began to move while the little boy continued heartbroken, repeating the entire conversation over and over again inside his head...
[10 years later]
A strong blow to the head brought Izuku out of his memories. He himself had given it to him when he realized that he was getting lost in his memories again, it was something he hated about him, he just wanted to forget everything and move on in his new life.
Izuku: How annoying... —He hit himself again, this time in the abdomen, knocking the air out of himself—. Stop remembering all this shit...focus on your mission
The young man with green hair jumped from the roof of one house to the next with great skill while scanning the streets and alleys of the city with his eyes. This was one of his most routine jobs, looking for civilians or little gang members with interesting gifts to be stolen by his teacher and adoptive father. Over the years it became one of the most boring tasks, he had the ability, he had the power, he trained and was still trained to kill the most powerful heroes in this country and yet he still received the order not to get into fights with them ... According to his father, it was not the moment to reveal himself to the world, not yet.
Of course, all that didn't stop him from sometimes deciding to accidentally "stumble upon" a lesser hero. He was always good at analyzing his enemy, his gift, and his abilities in combat, so it wasn't difficult for him to identify weak heroes. Mostly he always chooses the youngest and those without experience in real combat. and had fun torturing them until they finished. Of course, he always did it secretly without anyone seeing him, although later there were reports on the news about an unknown villain who hunted inexperienced heroes. When his father found out he pretended to be insane. But deep down he knew that for someone like the man who raised him nothing escaped him, but as long as he didn't say anything to him he knew that he had the silent permission to continue doing it.
Heroes...that word had stopped meaning what it had previously felt for many years. Now his eyes were open, he understood the poisoned world in which he lived. I had to purify him, I needed to heal him from those despicable people who only benefited from false altruistic acts. And if for that he had to kill, if for that he had to be considered a villain... well, let's just say that he had accepted it a long time ago.
Izuku: I think that's all for today, it looks like it's going to rain and I don't want to get wet again, these suits are very expensive —The young man turned off to go in the direction of his home. His father's tastes were always elegant, who would think that of someone who was considered the greatest villain in the history of humanity. And those tastes were transferred to him, unlike his older brother, so he always dressed in an elegant black suit, with a white or gray shirt and a black or red tie, everything depended on what he felt like that day. The last time I ruined one of my suits, Kurogiri scolded me for days...
As he continued jumping from roof to roof the rain started, the boy let out a frustrated grunt as he increased his speed. Everything seemed calm until a feminine scream was heard calling his attention. He stood still on top of a house while searching with his eyes until he found it, a young brunette girl slowly backing away scared from two men with a bad appearance.
The boy shook his head, it wasn't the first time he had seen two damn bastards try to attack young defenseless girls. He looked for a nearby hero and found one opening the door of his house about half a kilometer from the girl, using his speed and agility he landed in a few seconds in front of the hero.
Izuku: Excuse me sir, there is a girl escaping from two suspicious men about half a kilometer from here—He pointed with his hand where he saw the brown girl—.
Adult hero: Oh...w-well...excuse me but I have something very important to do - The older hero apologized, trying to open his house quickly. Besides, my shift is over young man, but don't worry, I know that another hero will arrive at any moment, after all we are mu-...
The man could not finish speaking because he felt something violently pass through his lung and stomach in the blink of an eye. With difficulty he moved his head downwards, encountering the scene of his body being pierced by some kind of two black tubes with red lines.
Izuku: Even giving them the chance to be a real hero...just once in their miserable lives! "You refuse," Izuku spoke with a dry tone while a third black thorn emerged from his finger, piercing the hero's head in a state of shock who could not do or say anything else.
The young villain retracted Rivet Stab, letting the old man's lifeless body fall. He shook his head angrily before kicking the door of his fighter open and then throwing the hero's body into it and closing the door. He didn't want someone to see him and call him a hero prematurely.
Izuku: Shit...what am I doing—He scolded himself before remembering the brunette he left behind, it had already been at least three minutes since he left her—. "I'm wasting my time..." The boy jumped toward the roof and began to run.
When he arrived at the scene again, he found the brunette closing her eyes tightly while she screamed desperately waiting for the attack of those two men who now had two knives in their hands. Izuku wasted no time and landed behind both men, before they made any movement he used Rivets to pierce their shoulders and forcibly drag them towards him while they screamed from the sudden pain they felt.
Izuku: Weren't they taught to treat a lady badly? —I ask with a cold look retracting the rivets from them—.
?: Unfortunate! —The bearded man insulted him while trying to get up—.
?: Wh-who are you?! —The other man shouted in fear because despite seeing a child, he felt that there was actually a monster in front of him—.
Izuku: No one important, but for their bad luck I have decided that my good quality action is to save that girl over there —I point to the young woman who was still with her eyes closed repeating something that she couldn't hear clearly—. But I'm also too lazy to put up with someone like you, so we'll be quick, OK? —He put on a sadistic smile as he used Rivets again, crossing the two men's bodies in many points—.
The green-eyed young man was disappointed by how weak they were, they could not stand almost anything. He moved away from their bodies and walked up to the young girl.
?: A hero is not afraid... a hero is not afraid... —The brunette quietly repeated the same phrase, something that seemed strange to Izuku—.
Izuku looked at her attentively for a second, her face, her hair, those cheeks that seemed to be blushing. She was undoubtedly someone different, was she an aspiring Hero?
Izuku: Even a hero can be afraid —I didn't want to scare her, although I didn't understand why. So he used the kindest voice he could—It's over, everything is fine. Come on, open your eyes "I promise you I'm not that ugly." He let out a small laugh, which worked for him because he noticed that she slowly relaxed her muscles and opened her eyes just as slowly. Do you see it? It's all good now. "I already took care of them, they will never bother you again." He said it with a smile while taking a quick look at the lifeless bodies from the corner of his eye.
?: Y-you...you killed them... —After the initial impression, now reality hit the young brunette. Starting to get scared, because if he killed them it meant that he was no better than the two men who tried to attack her— D-don't do anything to me...p-please
Izuku: —Her smile was erased for a brief second, he had just saved her and now she was scared of him? What was wrong with this girl? He won't do anything to you, if he wanted to do it he would have already done it - He rubbed his hair with some annoyance. - You should be grateful for taking the trouble to save your life - His tone went from a gentle one to a more irritated and dry one, it was not his intention but it had really bothered him to feel rejected even though he saved her from certain death or something worse.
?: Why did you save me? —Her question hit him squarely, leaving him frozen for a second—.
Izuku: Hmmm...—He put his index finger to his chin thoughtfully, he didn't have a clear answer, why did I save her?—Let's say that I don't agree that they harm someone who is defenseless, besides...if I can I will gladly erase two trash from this society." That answer seemed to be enough, although inside he knew it was a lie.
?: You're not a hero…
Izuku: hahaha I see that your little head is working a little slowly, huh? —He gently caressed her head, messing up her hair a little. —But yes, I'm not a hero, I'm a villain —She said it as if she didn't matter while her face was adorned by a proud smile. .—
?: A-a...villain? —If she was surprised before, this left her shocked.—
Izuku: —He kept his smile, the girl's reaction upon finding out that he was not a hero was more than funny—. You better go, don't think that my good deed of the day will be repeated twice - The boy shrugged his shoulders and turned his back as he walked calmly. - Forget that you saw me, goodbye
?: —She stood frozen watching him walk away, until she finally reacted and ran a little while shouting—Wait! —His scream made the boy's slow steps stop. —I-I just...I-I want to thank you...
Izuku: —"Thank you?" It was his thought but he shook his head. I don't need your thanks, I didn't do it for you, I just saw a good opportunity to kill two bastards...that's all.
?: Although t-it's like that...I...n-need to thank you properly. D-after all, you saved my life. W-what's your name?
Izuku: ... —Why was he so kind? He didn't need anyone's thanks, he turned around to repeat that he didn't. But then he connected his green eyes with her brown ones. That small, innocent smile on the girl's face brought back old memories that he thought were almost lost in time, or rather he tried to forget them. For a second he felt a small pain in his heart.—Tell me...Shigaraki, Shigaraki Izuku
?: S-shigaraki, thank you f-for saving me —She bowed while smiling happily upon knowing the name of her savior.—
Izuku: Yes, yes, you're welcome...I guess—She shrugged her shoulders to turn around again.—Now go home and don't walk alone through these streets again—And so he disappeared from her sight, leaving her alone again. -
He jumped agilely back onto the roofs of the houses and began running at high speed. He scolded himself internally for what he did, what happened to him?
Izuku: Did...a villain save an aspiring hero? —He beat himself internally while cursing himself. Without a doubt his father, nor his brother, nor anyone else could know this. Today he had made the mistakes that since he was a child he had been taught not to make and what bothered him the most was that he himself didn't even understand why. Then he stopped short for a moment as he looked back. —I don't even know what it's called...
