Calamity Ganon has been defeated. All is well in Hyrule and it would seem that Link and Zelda's troubles are finally over. However, not all is as it seems. With the Kingdom being left so long without a monarch, will all of Hyrule unite under one banner once again? With new enemies, political turmoil and romantic tension, things are poised to get in the way of the celebrations.

While Ganondorf is busy as king of the Gerudo and Linebeck is often out at sea, they hardly manage to find time to spend together- but with the right timing and allowances, find time for a bit of desert exploration.

AU! Set five years after the Calamity. Zelda and Link are busy rebuilding Hyrule and their lives, but whilst exploring the depths beneath the castle they end up unearthing an ancient evil which unexpectedly attacks them resulting in Zelda falling down a chasm to certain death. Although wounded, Link is determined to find her, unaware that rescuing the princess brings a new threat!

What happened between "Breath of the Wild" and "Tears of the Kingdom"? What challenges did Hyrule face - what struggles did they fight with, what joys did they share in? BCaU is an exploration in both worldbuilding and relationship-building. Mostly focused on Link and Zelda, and the development of their relationship over the course of the six years between disasters.
