Chapter 2
The Weaken Light
It had been a week since Luz went to the Boiling Isles and despite doing some good. She was blindsided by that one Witch that Tasered her and it weaken her powers she had lost the vast majority of her powers. Right now she was testing which powers she had and which she didn't.
So far she had her Water Shot, Mist Dash, Pipe Dash, and Geyser Boost.
She however lost her Waterfall Drop, Bubble Bomb, Water Thrusters, Water Blast, Aqua Rocket, Lake Cloak and the Tidal Surge.
She even lost her passives powers such as Undine's Path, Water Walk and Water Breathing.
Worse of all she felt her Karma reset which was required for some of her powers.
She never felt this weak since her time in Curdun Cay.
"Ok this sucks not did I lose a vast majority of my powers but my other powers are weaken as well." Luz said.
Then she heard a familiar voice.
"Come Luz you shouldn't have to worry about that. You'll get them back." Vee said.
Oh right the girl she met in the hospital was actually Vee or Victoria Noceda as she called herself.
Turns out she and Hooty became friends and it was Hooty of all people who told her about what Victoria meant.
The word itself meant victory. But to her it meant a Victory over Belos.
Also Hooty gave her the idea to base her human form on Luz and turned out to be an excellent baker.
Anyway the reason Vee wanted to use their surname is because it wouldn't look weird seeing some random girl entering the Noceda home all the time. Initially that plan was to make Vee her half-sister born due to a crazy night that both Manny and Camila had involving 5 people (three women and two men), a llama with clown makeup and whole bunch of bananas.
Luz shuddered at the fact that it actually happened. Turns out both she and Dad were Bi who knew.
Anyway after that embarrassing moment Camila told them it wouldn't have worked for several reasons.
All three women were on birth control, one of the men had a vasectomy and the other was Gay.
So that plan went to bust. So they opted to just simply adopt her under the pretense that she ran away from an abusive home.
That surprisingly worked.
Vee was still a nervous snake girl and still called Camila Ms. Noceda and not mom. Yet.
Baby steps are a thing after all.
"Thanks Vee. Does Mama still those Blast Shards and Core?" Luz said.
"Yeah she does. She was wondering when you would use them." Vee said.
"Alright let's go back home." Luz said as Vee nods.
As they got back home Luz and Vee saw Eda and Camila talking and from the looks of it. It was something serious.
"So you think there are more Blast Cores for Luz?" Camila said.
"Yup I heard one of my competitors named Adegahst was seen having a black briefcase with three yellow letters on it." Eda said.
"DUP I'd imagine." Camila said as Eda nods.
"Yup now we just need a way to get it out of his hands." Eda said.
King, who was watching Bluey on TV Chimed in.
"Hey don't you use Luz to trick Adegahst into giving her the case." King said.
"That would be a good plan if Luz had all of her powers." Eda said.
"That nut job is pissed that you're stealing his business. So do this make Luz handle today's deliveries she goes into Adegahst home and she can take the case and boom more powers." King said.
"Yeah but my question is how do we get Adegahst to act?" Eda asked.
That was then when Luz piped up.
"We make him think I am a naïve girl wanting to do magic." Luz said.
"Think he'll do it?" Eda asked.
"No idea. But it wouldn't hurt to try." Luz said.
"Just be careful Mija." Camila said.
"I will Mama." Luz said.
That was then Luz received a notification on her phone.
A Conduit's Roost
City Crow: Yo Luz where you at?
Neon Hawk: seriously kid where are you?
Video Owl: Luz are you there?
Luz cringed at this and looks at Eda.
"Go on kid I still have mine." Eda said showing her fossil of a smartphone.
A Conduit's Roost
Water Owlet: guys I'm ok
City Crow: damn it kid glad you're safe.
Neon Hawk: where the hell were you Little Light?
Video Owl: yeah what Fetch said?
Water Owlet: well… you'll never believe who I found
Mama Owl swoops down
Mama Owl: heya kiddos guess whose back
Video Owl: EDA!
Neon Hawk: Holy Shit Eda!
City Crow: I think I speak for the three of us when I say WHERE THE FUCK WERE YOU?!
Mama Owl: Sorry kiddos but where I'm from I don't have Wi-Fi
Neon Hawk: damn if Sims was there then he would be RIP.
Video Owl: Not funny Abigail
City Crow: oooff real name used. Any who what happen to ya Luz we heard that you were in the hospital from your Ma.
Water Owlet: some A-hole tazed me not only that but it somehow made my powers weaker
City Crow: HUH?!
Neon Hawk: WHAT?!
Video Owl: HOW?!
Water Owlet: no clue but don't worry I manage to get a Blast Core and Shard from an old DUP case
City Raven: huh talk about luck, need any help finding more
Water Owlet: Nah Delsin I got this
City Crow: alright have you used them yet
Water Owlet: I'm gonna use them later Delsin
City Crow: Alright Luz good luck
Video Owl: talk to you later Luz
Neon Hawk: Keep safe Little Light
Luz decides to use the Blast Core then the Shards. She opens the briefcase and sees both the Rayacite Core and Shards or Blast Core and Shards ready for use.
"Ok Core first then the Shards." Luz said as she picked up the Blast Core.
She then drained the core of its power and at that moment Luz's eyes shone a brilliant blue as water surged throughout her entire body.
Soon images played out in her mind and what felt like an eternity only lasted for a few seconds.
Luz then fell to the ground panting.
"Oh hell I always forget about that part." Luz said as she gets up.
Soon she looks at the Blast Shards but decides to use them later.
"Ok let's do this." Luz said as she used her powers.
With one hand she took the stance to fire a normal Water Shot but instead of firing it right away it became bigger and bigger until Luz launches it destroying a nearby rock.
Luz smiles as she looks at the damage done.
She got her Water Blast back.
Sometime Later
Boiling Isles
Luz was delivering the potions Eda had made for her clients despite being a wanted criminal she made some really good potions. From Burn Cream and Snake Oil to Booster Drinks and Scar Salve.
She was good in what she did. Too bad her mom was a bit of an Anti-Vaxxer or Anti-Potioner in this case.
Well any who she looking for a person named Adegahst from he was a wizard which were loners compared to Witches.
Basically Eda told her to find a guy with bathrobes and sandals.
King was eating another Not-Dog which turns out tasted pretty good. Soon they stumbled across a large castle that looked like something out of her Good Witch Azura books.
"So bet you 5 Snails that Adegahst's place." Luz said.
"Suckers Bet if the guy is a wizard then he must use Illusion magic to disguise his home." King said.
"Let's go King might as well see what he wants." Luz said.
Luz opens the door to find both a home and a man which looks like a stereotypical wizard would have.
"Ah you have come young one the 12 Star Beasts have foretold of your arrival come, come have a seat." Adegahst said.
Luz does so.
"I know what you are after Young Conduit." Adegahst said.
This surprised Luz as she knew that no one other than Eda, King, Hooty and Vee knows that she's a Conduit.
"How do you know that?" Luz said shock that this random person knew.
"Ah yes the Wicca Coven told me about you and your kind. They told of The Lighting Saint, The Great Liberator and The Beast." Adegahst said shuddering at the mention of the Beast.
Luz's POV
To say that I was shocked was saying something this guy knew about the Conduits. It was then that he mentioned the Wicca Coven. From what he told me, the Wicca Coven was a new coven that appeared 10 years ago and challenged Emperor Belos. They won and they requested that they be allow to use any type of Magic. Belos acquiesced knowing that he lost.
Since then they collected and made a lot of useful things for the isles.
The more I heard about the more them the more they reminded me of The First Sons.
Well Adegahst told me that if I wanted the Case I needed to help him with a simple task.
I was to get a small vial of King's Blood and deliver it to the Wicca Coven HQ. He gave me a map leading to the most recent HQ.
Normal POV
Owl house
Luz and King came back to the Owl House where Luz told her about what happened.
"The Wicca Coven I forgot about those guys but yeah from what you told me they definitely remind you of those First Sons assholes. So they want a vial of King's Blood." Eda said.
"Yeah he wants me to deliver it to the Wicca Coven HQ." Luz said as she shows Eda the map.
"Alright then first things first King!" Eda said as she called for King.
King rushed towards them.
"Yeah Eda what do ya need?" King asked.
Eda held out a Needle, a vial and 5 lollipops in her hand.
"5 lollipops if you help me fill this vial with your blood." Eda said.
"10." King said.
"5." Eda responded back
"9." King said.
"6." Eda said.
"7" and I won't go lower. King said.
"Ok you got a deal here's your 7 lollipops you glutton." Eda said as she gives the lollipops to King.
"Alright then let's get this over with. Though the next time you want my royal blood I expect to paid in Booberry pies." King said.
Eda's eyes widen as she realized that she made a deal with king.
"Nice one kid I've taught you well." Eda said.
"Weh!"
Only for Eda to poke his arm and takes the blood. But rather than the red blood that's' common to both Witches and Humans it was a bright blue. For some reason the blood looked familiar to her.
"Alright then… here you go Luz." Eda said as she gives her the blood filled vial.
"Well damn I guess King is a real Blueblood." Luz said with grin.
"YES! My royal lineage is real!" King shouted in cheer.
"And now I have to deal with King lovely." Eda said as Luz left.
After she left Eda took another look at the extra vial she got.
"There's no way… right?" Eda said.
Sometime later
Wicca Coven HQ
Luz had arrived at the Wicca Coven HQ where she was supposed to deliver the vial.
She saw a pair of guards just outside both of them with the same kind of staff that one Witch stabbed her with.
The guards soon and spoke.
"Halt! State your business!" Guard 1 said.
Luz showed them the vial while Guards 1 and 2 nodded.
"I see that you have it good. Adegahst told us that you'd be coming go right in." Guard 2 said as he lets Luz pass.
Luz then entered the building where she was slightly disappointed. It looked like a normal government building.
Then a receptionist saw Luz.
"Excuse me are you Luz Noceda?" The Receptionist said.
"I am who told you?" Luz said.
"Adegahst said you'd be coming here with the sample." The Receptionist said.
"(Of course he did)." Luz thought.
"Any who let us get the vial to Lady Salem shall we." The Receptionist said.
Soon the Receptionist led Luz to the main office of Lady Salem.
"Alright then kid you're as of this moment. Just go in and give the vial alright." The Receptionist said.
Luz Nods as The Receptionist leave.
The Water Conduit looks at the doors and took a deep breath and opened them.
Luz's POV
I opened the door and what I saw shocked me I knew her name is Salem and these people reminded me of the First Son but god I did not expect to find a magic Kessler.
The Kessler-like person I saw was Salem. I knew that she was a woman. She was tall, curvy but definitely had some muscle the top half of her face was hidden by a cat mask. She wore some clothes along with some armor and a white cloak on her back was that staff again.
She introduced herself and welcomed me to her HQ. She also explained that she wanted a favor from me.
I was skeptical about it at first but she assures me that she is no Moira which spooked me that she even knew about her. Anyway she told me that Adegahst had stolen something from the Coven she showed me and it was the very briefcase that he had.
Salem told me that I can keep the case if I brought Adegahst to her.
It was a simple task and I accepted it. I gave her the vial and surprisingly she gave me 5 Blast Shard as an advanced payment. She also gave me a medal to prove that I did the task.
I nodded and left.
Just as the door was about to close I hear Salem say something.
"Good Luck Little Light"
Outside of Wicca Coven HQ
Once Luz got out she took out her new scroll she got from Eda and called her.
"Eda it's me I just gave the vial to Salem and get this Adegahst stole the case from the Wicca Coven." Luz said.
"Shit kid didn't think he'd have the balls to do that?" Eda said.
"Well Salem told that I can keep the Blast Core if I get Adegahst to her." Luz said.
"Good you know your way back to that bastard?" Eda asked.
Luz nods and tells her as such.
"Good kick his ass for me kid." Eda said.
Luz then hangs up and Mist dashes away.
Up on top a balcony stood Salem. With a small smile on her face she calls for one of her guards.
"Noren." Salem said.
"Yes Lady Salem?" The now named Noren said.
Noren is a Witch with some Demon Ancestry specifically of the bug variety. He has silver hair with blue eyes. Dressed in the Wicca Coven's uniform hold the same staff as Luz.
"As soon as Noceda incapacities Adegahst you are to capture him and assure she gets the briefcase." Salem said.
"As you command Lady Salem." Noren said as he flew off not with a staff but with his dragonfly like wings.
With Luz
Luz Arrives at Adegasht's castle as soon as she gets there she kicks down the door revealing a stunned Adegasht.
"Oh young Conduit I- didn't expect you back so soon." Adegasht said.
"I know you stole the briefcase." Luz said.
Upon hearing that Adegasht frowned.
"It would seem I don't need to pretend anymore. Prepare to face my awesome power." Adegasht said as he wiggled his fingers and shouted random words.
Which were used but not limited to the following. Shazam, Kaplooy, Abracadabra, Wubba Lubba Dub Dub! and Kablam!
Luz was not impressed as she fired a Water Blast at Adegasht causing him to hit a wall.
Once that happen the wizard's castle slowly transformed into an old shack.
"Huh so you're just a scammer and a gross one at that." Luz said.
Soon Adegast's true form was revealed to Luz, his body consists of his large head, along with a series of prehensile tentacles. The underside of his head is attached to a pair of spindly, black arms and a clutch of gold spheres. The demon's gruesome face is pale and pouchy, with two bulbous eyes above his cheeks, with two narrowed eyes that resemble nostrils. His mouth lacks lips, showing his pale yellow teeth. His pupils are amber in color.
Luz took out her sword and channeled her powers into it. Knowing that this was about to go down.
Adegasht lashed out first with his tentacles. But Luz dodged them and slashed them with her sword.
"GGGGGGGGGGGAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHH!" Adegasht roared in pain.
Luz then followed up with a Water Blast to the eye.
"AH Titan damnit! Just stand still and die!" Adegasht shouted as he used his tentacles once more.
Luz tried to fire another shot of her powers only to run out.
"Oh tiene que ser una maldita broma." Luz said as she dodges another tentacle.
"Great just great vaya momento de no tener agua." Luz said.
Adegasht then captured Luz with his tentacles.
"Got you little bitch." Adegasht said as he captures Luz making her drop her sword.
Luz struggles to escape the tentacles that are crushing her.
Why the hell did she go alone if she had all of her powers she would have taken this bitch down especially since she had no way to recharge…
Ok that was a lie she had a way to recharge but… she didn't like it.
But it looks like she has no choice.
With her free hand she lowers it down touching Adegasht tentacle.
Only for a water tank to smash Adegasht's face in.
This caused Adegasht to let Luz go and the water tank to break releasing it contents.
Luz seeing an opportunity drains the water thus recharging her powers to the max.
Ok Hijo de Puta let's do this. Luz said as fires another Water Blast.
It hits Adegasht directly along with another and another until he was beaten.
Now reduced to tiny version of himself Luz walked towards Adegasht as he begged for mercy.
Luz's POV
Look at this guy begging for mercy after nearly killing me.
I could always kill him to assure that he won't be a problem anymore. But I could lose out on the Briefcase.
Or
I could leave him be and let Salem handle it and get the Briefcase.
What should I do?
Normal POV
"Adegasht I'm not going to hurt you I'm taking you to Salem." Luz said as she made her choice.
In her mind a single image was shown. It was Two Luz's a Purple one with a staff and a Gold one with a sword neither one facing each other and a single word could be heard over and over again.
Activist
"Miss Noceda I'm here for Adegasht." Noren said as he holds up a tiny cage.
"Did Salem send you?" Luz asked as Noren nods.
"Ok just need one thing from this little guy. Where's the Briefcase?" Luz said as Adegasht points to a corner of his home.
Luz then hands over Adegasht to Noren and finds the Briefcase.
"Thanks for the help Noren." Luz said as she Mist Dashes away.
After Luz Left Noren picks up his scroll and calls Salem.
"It's done Adegasht is captured." Noren said.
After a bit Noren nods.
"I understand Lady Salem." Noren said.
Then Noren leaves with Adegasht as he returns to HQ.
Outside of Adegasht's Castle
Luz was now outside of the Bug Demon's castle. With briefcase Luz knew she had won. The as she takes a turn she sees an empty wall.
Luz looks at the wall and thinks to herself.
"(Hmmm… it's missing something)." Luz thought as she does the picture frame thing.
Then in a flash Luz gets an idea.
Take out a spray can from her pack Luz gets to work.
2 hours later
It had been two hours since Luz started and she smiled at her work.
It was Delsin's True Hero Symbol flying over a cheering crowd under a beautiful night sky.
"As a great man once said the Journey of a Thousand miles starts with one Kickass Tag." Luz said as she took some photos.
As she admires her work Luz then notices something on the night sky she had painted. It was some sort of symbol.
The line stretches from the bottom of the circle to about two-thirds up. A perfectly horizontal line connects two sides of the circle, one-third up from the bottom of the circle. The ends of the horizontal line are connected to the top of the vertical line. Two slanted bars cut through the vertical line just above the horizontal line. In the space between the top of the vertical line and the top of the circle, a circle that doesn't reach the top and two tangents from the circle to the top finish the symbol.
"Hell is this?" Luz asked as she draws the same symbol on her notepad.
When Luz touched it the paper it was on crumpled up and turned into a ball of light.
"No way. I. I did magic. Hice Magia." Luz said as she drew another symbol.
No it was a Glyph. For some reason they're called Glyphs.
"I can't wait to tell Eda!" Luz said as she dashed back to the Owl House.
Only to for girl to look at Luz's art and post it at Penstagram.
"This looks nice." The girl said with a smile.
With Eda
Eda was exhausted but she now knew that this was real. This was Titan's Blood.
Titan Above, Below and in My Home. Eda said as she looks at a sleeping King with a half-eaten Booberry Pie near him.
Firem78910: and with that Chapter 2 is done and yes not only Luz lost most of her powers she also starts fresh on her Karma level
Haman: speaking of Karma we will be giving Luz Karma moments as to how you can tell them apart This is Evil Karma and This is Good Karma though this is arbitrary since we will make Luz go max Good Karma
