It was springtime in April when the Generation of Miracles were gathered underneath a magnificent cherry blossom tree. The colorful group garnered little attention in the hustle and bustle of a local shrine's spring festival; although they (namely Kise) were occasionally stopped for pictures. It was a time of celebration for the season and for their recent victory.

"Can we go yet?" Aomine Daiki grumbled, swallowing the last of his dango. Festivals were not really his thing, especially because his mother made him dress up for the occasion. She claimed that a victor like him should at least try to dress like one. They argued until he agreed to wear a black yukata. It was comfortable and light, but anything besides his basketball shorts and tee shirts felt weird on him. Besides that, his body and mind were still abuzz with energy from their match with Jabberwock. While the majority of the group ignored him, a pair of golden eyes gave him a look.

"Come on, Aominecchi, don't be such a wet blanket," Kise said, his voice a mixture of teasing and annoyed. The insult earned him a scathing look from his tall tanned friend, but Kise was tired of Aomine's attitude. "We have a lot of celebrating to do here!"

"Plus all the delicious treats here." Murasakibara Atsushi interjected himself into the conversation, his words muddied by the mouth full of chicken he had stuffed in it. Kise and Aomine shared a disgusted look at their gluttonous friend.

"And don't talk with your mouth full, that's bad manners Murasakibaracchi!" Kise admonished with little effect on the purple giant. Aomine rolled his eyes, mumbling incoherent complaints to himself.

"Why don't you walk around the grounds to burn off some of that steam, Aomine?" Akashi's firm voice made little room for argument, the suggestion more of a command. Aomine glanced at the red head seeing a small smile on his lips. The emperor held a look in his eyes daring Aomine to tell him off and fight back.

"We can come with you too, Dai-chan!" Momoi exclaimed, pulling Kuroko forward with her. The shadow player held no visible reaction to the suggestion. Aomine stared nonplussed at the two, his childhood friend intertwining her hand with Kuroko's affectionately. If it weren't for the obvious displays of affection, no one would know that the two were dating.

"Yeah, your whining is getting really annoying." Kuroko said blithely. Before Aomine could react, Momoi grabbed his hand and pulled the two boys into the festival crowd.
