Meanwhile at Higurashi Shine, Modern Day……
Momoi tapped her foot impatiently, each second Aomine took to meet them weighing upon her burgeoning ire. She pulled out her phone and attempted to call him once again. What the heck was taking him so long anyway? When her call went straight to voicemail, she leaned her head on Kuroko's shoulder.
"It's bad enough that the others left without us, now Dai-chan is ditching us too?" Momoi groaned. Kuroko was too busy working on a popsicle he got from one of the closing vendors to respond before Momoi continued. "Are we being too much?"
"No. Aomine just can't keep still or answer his phone to save his life." Kuroko answered, nonplussed as he swallowed a chunk of popsicle. "Just text him that we'll meet up with him tomorrow. Besides, you wanted to have 'us' time, remember?"
Momoi considered her boyfriend's words for a moment. They have only been together for about a month, but she had only managed to get one date with just them. Somehow they ended up gathering the whole Generation of Miracles on their outings. The pinkette postulated that the group acted as her older brother's which was endearing, but pissed her off when she wanted alone time with Tetsu. Nibbling on her inner cheek, Momoi reasoned that Dai-chan could find his way home just fine. He would understand wanting some alone time, right?
Slipping out her phone for the last time, Momoi shot Aomine a quick text telling him they'd see him later. Hand in hand the pair walked down the steps of Higurashi Shrine. Little did the pair know how long later would be.
