It was a clear blue sky day on the Grand Line, a small boat floating across the calm sea. A soft humming filled the air, a bare foot swinging to the beat. A white haired woman with pale skin laid out in the bottom of the boat. A lavender halter top fit snug against her chest, light blue shorts hugged her hips.
She heard what sounded like a ship nearby. Sitting up she took note of the familiar whale figure head. A smirk graced her pink rose lips, 'found you.'
She abandoned her boat as she slipped into the ocean. She swam up to the side of the ship swiftly she climbed the ship's side, peeking over the railing her blue eyes scanned over the men aboard. The blue orbs fell upon a young man, onxy hair under a orange hat, freckles adorned the bridge of his nose, no shirt and black shorts.
Narrowing her eyes at the man she waited for her opportunity to strike. It wasn't long before a path cleared to the man, wasting not a moment the woman jumped the railing. Men around her were shocked at her appearance as she race for the man.
"ACE!"
Said man turned only to topple over with a yell. His orange hat flew into the air as a pool of white hair fell over his face. Swatting the hair out of his face the man looked up at the woman in shock.
"Luna?! What are you doing here?"
Luna pushed herself up as she looked at Ace, "what? Is it so wrong for a little sister to visit her big brother?"
The men around the two looked on in shock.
"SISTER?!?"
The sibling ignored the crew around them as Ace took in his sister's appearance, "WHAT ARE YOU WEARING?!?!"
He pulled her close to his chest hiding her front from the rest of the crews' eyes. The woman puffed out her cheeks in anger, "Ace stop it. This is ridiculous, I'm an adult."
Ace shook his head refusing to allow Luna to pull away. As the woman struggled against her stubborn brother a man with a purple jacket and blonde hair, made his way over to the two. Luna was finally able to pull away from Ace. Sighing she turned to the new man bowing, "ah I'm deeply sorry for my sudden appearance. I was so happy to see Ace once more I didn't full think of the consequences of me boarding the Moby Dick improperly."
The blonde chuckled as he looked over at Ace, "are you sure you two are siblings, yoi?"
Ace face fell, "oi Marco what's that suppposta mean?!"
A smirk crossed Marcos's face, "obviously because she has better manners than you, yoi."
The freckled man turned with a huff crossing his arms. Luna just giggled at the two before Marco's eyes fell back on her.
"We should go to pops come on, yoi."
Marco laid a hand on the young woman's back her lead her to Whitebeard's place on deck. Ace quickly stopped his sulking when he saw this, "OI Marco get your hands off my sister!"
Marco and Luna ignored Ace as they made their way to Whitebeard. Luna hide her awe well, the size of the man was amazing. The anime didn't do him justice.
"So you're the brat who infiltrated my ship?"
Luna couldn't stop the embarrassment from becoming apparent on her face. Scratching her head she shifted into a bow, "I terribly sorry for my intrusion. I was overwhelmed with the idea of seeing my brother I couldn't stop myself. I meant no disrespect to you or your family."
Whitebeard let out a roar of laughter, "calm down lass it's fine I wouldn't stop anyone from their family. Though I would like to know how you approached the ship undetected."
Luna stood up smiling happy at the Emperor, "oh I was on that boat over there when I saw the ship and swam over. Then I just climbed the side of the ship."
Marco raise an eyebrow at the woman before looking over to the side she climbed, only to see a small row boat that was suddenly destroyed by a the waves. The crews' eyes widen, "you came on that?!?"
Luna turned to look over with an angry pout, "well boo that was my boat."
Whitebeard laughed loudly before his eyes fell on the girl's back. A faint blue caught his eye as the woman's hair hide her back.
"Girl what is that on your back?"
Luna turned back to Whitebeard confused, "my back? Oh! You mean my birthmark?"
She turned with her back was facing the Emperor before pulling her ponytail over her shoulder. A blue crescent moon nestled between her shoulder blades. Whitebeard hummed in thought, "just as I thought."
Luna looked back at Whitebeard, "huh what do you mean?"
Ace came up behind his sister placing a hand on her shoulder.
"Yeah Pops what's going on? She's had that thing since we were kids."
Whitebeard rubbed his chin in thought, "Marco."
The Phoenix nodded turning he yell, "if you're not a Commander get bellow deck now, yoi. Don't come up until told other wise."
Luna was confused by the sudden change in energy, even Ace was confused. Once everyone was bellow deck Luna noticed Whitebeard lean forward. She turned her full attention to the Emperor.
"I'm guessing neither of you know the legend behind that mark?"
Both siblings tilted their heads, "legend?"
Ace's hand slide down over her mark. He always noticed the cold sensation but his hand flitched away. He hadn't felt cold since he ate his devil fruit but her mark just now. His eyes drifted down to the moon. Just now his hand was cold.
"The legend is from before my day, before pirates sailed the sea, and even before human civilization. It's said that the god of the moon and goddess of the sea were in love, but because of their responsibilities they could never be. So to show their love... they created a child. One born with eyes that were as blue as the sea, silvery white hair, and snow white skin. The child could harness the power of the moon, the sea would bend to their will. There hasn't been a child of the moon and sea sighting in several centuries."
Luna crossed her arms as she looked to the ground in thought. This revelation was troubling to say the least. Did the government know this legend? If so, did Garp hide her knowing what she would become? When she came to this world she didn't understand why there was a moon on her back. She never would have guessed this.
Marco gaze fell on the woman, if she was really the child of the moon and sea that explained how she was sailing in such a small boat on the Grand Line.
Luna took a step towards Whitebeard, "Sir Whitebeard may I intrude by spending the night? I'll depart by morning."
Ace sprung his sister around to face him, "what do you mean leave you just got here?"
Luna looked up at Ace, "well yeah Luffy will be starting his journey soon. I have to catch up to him before he arrives in the Grand Line. It will take sometime to make it back to the East Blue. The only reason I stopped in was to see you before heading back. I promised Luffy remember."
Ace hung his head at his sister's bluntness. Whitebeard laughted at the siblings, "look like you got your hand full brat. Girl stop with the formalities, you're my son's sister. That makes you family in my eyes, and of course you may stay here. Your manners may even rub off on some of my sons. Now I believe this calls for a celebration!"
The Commanders' went to call for their subordinates. Luna watched in amusement as the men brought out sake and food. Thatch walked over to the woman with a pleading look, "please don't tell me you have an appetite like your brother."
Luna just laughed, "no don't worry I eat considerably less than my brothers. Just hope you never have to feed both Luffy and Ace together."
The celebration went on into the night, it was late when Luna prodded her brother's side. Ace flitched from the sudden poke before looking down at his sister.
"What's up Sis?"
"I'm tired and ready for bed. Where can I retire?"
Ace nodded as he stood snatching his sister up like a sack of potatoes, he began making his way to his room. As they made their way bellow deck, Luna's blue eyes landed on a certain man.
Marshall D. Teach.
Ocean blue eyes darkened as they narrowed in anger as her thoughts went to Ace's inevitable death. She would Not allow Ace's death come to pass. She long decided that she had no choice but to use her knowledge to help change things. So when her powers started to appear she began having 'visions.' She made her visions come as dreams at first to explain not for seeing Sabo's accident.
A determined look crossed her face as she decided tonight after everyone fell asleep she would have a vision about that bitch Teach. She would not 'lose' another brother.
Ace tossed her onto his bed as he kicked off his shoes to join her. Ace settled next to her, tugging her close like when they were younger. Luna relished in her brother's warmth, "since you ate your devil fruit you're like a furnace."
Ace chuckled at her declaration, "I'm glad you stopped by Lulu. It was great to see you again. And don't think I didn't see your bounty, 300,000,000 berries."
Giggles escsped her lips, "the marines are just angry. Sadly they'll let any Joe Shmoe join the marines. They are either horrible weak or power hungry. Or worse both, I've been keeping Gramps busy with all my reports. Oh he sends his regards, still angry with you for becoming a pirate."
Ace let out a deep laugh, "of course he's still mad. He just won't accept that none of us were gonna be marines."
Luna smiled at the thought of Gramps, but her smile faded.
"Ace... You remember the incident."
Ace fell silent, "...Luna are you saying what I think you're saying?"
Luna bit her lip as she refused to met Ace's eyes.
"Ace... I need Pops and Marco to hear this too. We can't allow anyone else to hear this."
Ace sat up with a affective nod pulling his sister with him, moving to the side of the bed he slipped his shoes back on. He pulled her off the bed before making his way to the down the hall. Stopping in front of Pop's door he turned back down the hall.
"Wait here while I grab Marco."
With a nod Luna watched her brother disappear down the hall. She sighed heavily leaning against the wall as she started picking at her fingers out of habit, one that carrried over from her previous life. She didn't know how they would react, they saw one another as family. With Marshall being one of the first of the crew may make it even hard to convince Whitebeard. The only thing she had going for her was Ace vouching for her prior premonitions.
Her head raised up hearing footsteps coming towards. Luna stood from her leaning position as Ace walked up followed by a sleepy looking Marco.
"What this about yoi? Couldn't this wait until morning?"
The grim look on her face was enough of an answer for Marco. Signing Marco rubbed his head, "give me a minute to make sure Pops is up yoi."
Marco walked inside leaving the siblings alone. Ace noticed Luna's anxiety and grabbing the hand she was messing with, giving it a reassuring squeeze. Luna's eyes refocused as she looked up at Ace, a small smile graced her lips. Marco open the door for the two, ushering them inside.
Whitebeard now sitting up on the side of his bed, "why couldn't this wait for morning brat?"
Taking a deep breath she looked up at the man. Ace continued holding her hand, she doesn't like other people knowing about this 'power.'
"It could not. No one else can hear this. This might be hard for you to hear... I am sorry in advance for what I'm about to say."
This peeked Whitebeard and Marco's curiosity, their eyes shift to Ace. The freckled man nodded as he nudged Luna.
"There was another reason I came here. I-I have visions, Ace can confirm this, and that they are always accurate. Days ago I had a vision... one that contained a member of your crew. I would never forgive myself if I didn't pass this on before leaving."
Whitebeard held a hand out to the young woman, Luna walked forward grasping one of his fingers.
"Go ahead my dear, you have my attention and I will be opened minded." Luna allowed a strained smile to slip over her face. Sighing she closed her eyes as she recounted the 'vision.'
"I was on the deck over looking three people; Ace, Thatch, and... Teach. Thatch had just returned from a raid and was talking to Ace about the best item from the raid. A purple devil fruit. Now from what I understand on your ship anyone who finds a devil fruit has the right to do with it as they please. But it wasn't Ace's reaction I feared... it was Teach's."
Luna bite her lip as she took a deep breath, "the looked on his face. It was malicious. It was then the scene changed. There was a thunderstorm I'm unaware how many days after but..."
Ace placed his hands on her arms giving her a light squeeze, Luna leaned back against him, opening her eyes she met Whitebeard's own, "there was blood... a lot of it. It was pouring from Thatch's body and over him was... Teach with a bloody knife holding the devil fruit."
The three men looked at her in shock, Marco was the first to break the silence, "are you saying Teach is going to murder Thatch for a devil fruit?"
Luna looked over at the Phoenix, "unfortunately that's exactly what I'm saying. Though my visions are not set in stone, they can be altered. I'm informing you of this event so you may change the outcome."
Ace knew Luna, she's never lied to Luffy or him, he knew if she was relaying this informat that it was accurate. Looking back at the man he called his father he nodded, "Pops, Luna has never lied. I trust her with my life, these visions happened when we were kids."
Whitebeard nodded at the two siblings, "Ace take Luna back to bed she'll needs to be rested for her journey tomorrow. After she's off the ship we'll inform the other commanders of this. I want her safely away from the ship in case Teach picks up on anything."
Ace nodded as he pulled Luna back to his room, leaving Whitebeard and Marco. Once back in the safety of his room he pulled Luna into a tight embrass.
"It's okay Luna, you did great."
Luna breathed out a struggled breath her body shaking she peered up at Ace, "y-you're not upset with me? I just revealed that Teach is going to betray everyone on board."
Ace held her closer, "why would I be upset? You were just trying to protect everyone. Plus I know your word is as good as gold."
Luna pulled back before she cupped Ace's face in her hand, "Ace... if Teach is successful in his plan. I need your word, you won't follow after him."
Ace's eyebrows pulled together in confusion before realization crossed his face.
"...You saw more didn't you? Something with me in it."
Luna swallowed deeply her eyes not moving from his, "Ace I refuse to let you know of that vision. If you all can prevent Thatch's death then what I saw will not come to pass. Focus on stopping Teach's plan."
Knowing how stubborn Luna could be, Ace opted to just do as Pops said. Tugging Luna to the bed, "well I know I can't get you to change your mind. So let's just go to sleep."
Luna smiled greatfully at Ace before cuddling the freckled male.
The next morning Luna noticed Ace, Marco, and Whitebeard didn't let their decision from the night before become apparent. Several crew members were getting her a boat to use.
"Oh I won't need a boat. I'll never make it in time with that."
This caught everyone's attention Marco was the first to speak up, "then how are you gonna get back to the East Blue yoi?"
Giggling Luna made her way to the side, "that's easy. Ace you don't know this because I didn't learn of it until after you left."
Leaning over the side she gave a loud whistle. It was quiet for several minutes before the ship trembled, the waves around them rippled violently. A large creature broke the surface, a massive Sea King that resembled a sea dragon, blue in color placed two leg appendages on the railing of the ship. Everyone looked on in horror at the massive creature.
"Hey Calcifer, I'm in need a ride to the East Blue would that be alright?" The creature, now known as Calcifer, nodded. Luna looked back at the crew with a closed eyed smile, "I should be okay getting back."
Ace slowly moved up behind his sister grabbing her by the arm and tugged her away from the Sea King.
"What the hell is going on Luna?"
Luna gave a reassuring smile, "well I didn't realize they could understand me until I was almost attacked by the Sea King that guards our island. They've been my main way of transportation, I've seen many Sea Kings. Calcifer just happens to be the one to give me the most help."
"So that's how you've been getting around the Grand Line with such a small boat yoi?"
Luna just smiled at the 1st division commander, "yeah I'm even able to cross the Calm Belt with no issue."
Luna turned to Whitebeard bowing to the man, "thank you for caring of me Pops. And thank you for caring for Ace all this time."
Whitebeard laugh out loudly, "you're welcomed back anytime, and you can consider yourself as my daughter."
Luna smiled happily at the Emperor, "thank you Pops. I must get going or I'll miss Luffy. Knowing that boy he'll be just as fast as Ace was."
Luna gave Ace one last tight hug and a kiss on his cheek before jumping on top of Calcifer. Ace stopped her, handing her a vivre card, "this will help you fine me in the future."
Nodding the woman stuck the paper in her bra which caused some of the men to blush. Sadly for them Ace noticed turning he yelled at them.
"Oi Stop Looking At My Baby Sister!!"
Giggling she waved to them as Calcifer pulled away from the ship. Turning around she looked towards the horizon one thought crossed the mind.
'I'm on my way Luffy.'
