Chapter 14
The morning was sunny, and the sun rays, blinded eyes. The students still were sleeping in their beds, boys and girls were split in pairs, each room had four persons. Pavel got up pretty early in the morning. The boy was rolling over in his bed, he tired of that and got up.
'Man, it's difficult to sleep in a new place.' Pavel moaned, 'I hope I won't awake the others.' he carefully left the room, he quietly opened the door and closed it in the same way. "Interesting is there anyone who has already gotten up?" he asked himself stretching his limbs.
Pavel was wearing a yukata which he was given after hot spring. Pavel was walking pretty quickly in order to get the shower first. He remembered how someone told him that it was in the end of the dormitory so he headed there.
"Man, can't wait to fight see how Ren will fight today." Pavel rubbed his eyes, "It was much better if we were with her in one team, however I don't mind to fight her, I will be able to see her in full her glory, but still, it's a bit sad we're not in one team."
"Thoughts out loud?" he heard a male voice behind him, Pavel quickly turned around he didn't await encounter someone.
"Oleg Semenovich." Pavel exhaled seeing his mentor, "Please don't scare me like that." He asked him then.
"Why got up so early? You have at least an hour." Tereshkov asked him with a risen eyebrow.
"Can't get used to sleep well in a new place." Pavel chuckled, "Always have such problem, and what about you? Have you gone to bet earlier? You didn't come to the spring."
"Kinda." Oleg nodded, "I had a bad feeling so I decided to check everything here."
"Bad feeling?" Pavel asked him, "Just don't tell me you think these scums are going to attack this place! Isn't it hidden and…" Pavel was about to start exclaiming, but Oleg showed him a sign to cool down.
"I don't know, will they attack it or not. Among them several former Taimanin, so I we can't be sure in it." Oleg explained his thought, "Don't think about that, maybe I'm just exhausted." Oleg pondered with a sigh, "Have you planned something for now?" Oleg suddenly asked him.
"No, I just wanted to take shower and hang around until you all got up." Pavel replied.
"Fine, then we'll wait for the main practice together." Oleg chuckled.
Both of them turned to the direction where the shower was. They reached their destination fast Pavel and Oleg took off their attires, and quickly took the shower, right now there was no one, so they did everything quickly letting to use it to the other people. After it they put on their clothes and went slowly by the corridors again.
"You seem thoughtful, has something happened?" Oleg asked him with an interested in his voice.
"Something like that." Pavel sighed, heavily.
"Is it about Ikenami?" Oleg asked him again.
"No, not at all." the boy shook with his head, "It's about the coming of me family." Pavel sighed heavily.
"Want to talk about it?" he looked at the boy, with some carefulness, "Or will hid everything like always?"
"Well, I think it'll be good to speak out." Pavel agreed, "After all you and Maria Sergeievna, gave me good advices from time to time."
"How about to talk at the training? We'll be able to talk and warm up before the practice." the boy nodded energetically. On their way Oleg decided to ask the boy about the subject of his ponderings, "Is it because of Andou?"
"Well, yes." Pavel nodded, "And not." he replied quietly after a little pause, "My family is going to visit me, and you know how my brother and my friend will continue to mock ever me not having a girlfriend and something like that."
"As I remember, Maria told me something about that." Oleg chuckled, "And what doesn't give you to find someone who will play a role of your girlfriend?"
"Honestly I did, and here's the main problem." Pavel mumbled, they went outside, he weather was sunny and not wind, it was quite surprising, but still they quickly remembered they're in south islands, "I asked Masami to play that role."
"I'm surprised she agreed for that." Oleg was impressed, "Did you have training with her?" Oleg looked at his student.
"Yeah, we practiced with wooden weapons, and she is really a tremendous opponent." Pavel replied quickly, "I even lost to her in the beginning. If she returns back to normal, she will be a really good hunter in the future, I think even scums like Archon and Richar will be scared of her."
"Nice to hear you thinking about her in that way." Pavel's teacher smiled and combed the hair of his, "And as I know understand, you wanted to ask Ikenami for that role, didn't you?" Oleg asked him.
"What? Pavel stumbled, "Oh, yes, I wanted to do that, but Maki told it's not a good idea, as Ren never likes such things. She also told that it'll be a bad idea to talk about it to Rinko too. And because of our trick she feels herself really messy, so it would be really stupid thing to do." Oleg nodded.
"Well Sato is with Ito, I've seen them several time in the academy, but what about Ogawa?"
"I know nothing about her, she is just and additional person in their team, I don't even understand, why she always with them, so I decided not to talk about it with her." Pavel explained.
"I see. I think you pondering quite a lot." Oleg shrugged with his shoulder also turning to the training facility, "You never know what the person would answer you to your question, asking never kills you, at the same time, I don't think Ikenami would reject your offer."
"Why do you think so?" Pavel was puzzled.
"You've already helped her several times. You protected her, when she was lectured by Asagi, you protected her during her fight with Mystic, so why she would reject you in such a simple request?"
"I don't want to start relations with such stupid excuses." Pavel didn't like the explanation of his mentor.
"However, you accepted the help of Andou."
"She offered me her help; I only told her about that, I didn't ask her." Pave turned his head away.
"You always complicate everything." Oleg shook with his head, "And what about your further practice with Andou? Have you got a straight plan how you're going to work with her?"
"I thought to discuss it with her today." Pavel replied, "I'm not good in meditation, so she can do it herself I think."
"And you say, I'm the not clever in girl themes." Oleg chuckled.
"What do you mean?" Pavel didn't like the respond.
"It can be a perfect opportunity to know Andou better, if she is going to play role of your girlfriend both of you are to know what you both like dislike, you should tell something about you and vice versa. It's like a maneuver in battles; you're to think everything perfectly in order not to be found in the lie."
"Like always you're right." Pavel lowered his head with a sigh.
"Hay boys you're kind early birds aren't you?" they heard a voice behind them; they turned their head back and saw a quite attractive woman.
The woman had green hair and revealing attire. She wore tight pants on her belly were two straps, and the lower part of her breasts was opened. She came to them, quite lecherously.
"Going for training?" she asked them.
"Something like that." Oleg nodded.
"Can I join you?" the woman got closer to the teacher, "I feel a little boring here, and hadn't got good warming up in a long time." she fixed her arms behind her head and stretched her spine, exposing her perfect body.
"First of it'll be good to know your name." Oleg replied examining the woman, "There must be some properties."
"Oh sorry, I'm Amaya, and what about you?" she presented herself.
"Oleg, Pavel." Oleg nodded and then pointed at the boy.
"Nice to meet you." Pavel nodded in greeting.
"Nice to meet you too." she chuckled, "What is it? Can remove your eyes from a gorgeous woman? What a duo of perverts." she chuckled again.
"It's just because someone likes to wear pervert clothes." Pavel replied immideately.
"So? Can I join you?" Amaya asked them raising her eyebrow.
"I don't mind." Oleg replied, "It'll be good to fight a new opponent." His eyes were directed at her belt where was a sword, which wasn't a katana at all, 'What an interesting sword, didn't know Taimanin use one like these.'
Now the three of them, headed to the training ground. The woman was energetically talking, while Pavel and Oleg were answering her questions. Both men quickly got used to her, and even asked some questions to Amaya.
They quickly came to the training ground; they decided to have a combat outside, because Oleg didn't want Sakura and Chikeko look for him for long. They quickly changed their clothes and started to discuss the way of their practice.
"So? How will we have our fight?" Amaya asked the man with a strange smile, "Two on one or one on two?" she asked him.
"I'll try alone." Pavel chuckled, exposing his sword, "Please, don't be easy on me."
"I've heard you." Amaya licked her lips, "You're from masochists, aren't you?" Pavel frowned, "I like such kids."
Then she exposed her sword, it was a cutlass, however it, was ore similar to saber. Oleg was surprised seeing it.
'Didn't know Taimanin use sabers especially cutlasses.' he looked at Pavel who seemed in the same state, 'Where did she get it?'
"Ready boy?" the green haired woman asked him, Pavel nodded and then rushed to the woman.
The woman dodged the lunge, and then quickly attacked Pavel too. Pavel could protect himself from the strike. The woman hold her saber still and attacked him pretty fast, Pavel protected himself and attacked her back. Pavel tried to understand his opponent, while the rival was only playing with him.
'Her moves are pretty sharp; does she always fight like this?' Oleg pondered watching at the fight, 'Some really well seen moves, which can be avoided easily.'
The woman suddenly did a strange turn, and then did a lunge, which wasn't blocked, and Pavel received a scratch on his arm, the woman licked the blade and chuckled.
"Pretty sweet."
"Man…" Pavel flinched seeing that, "You're really a crazy one."
"Probably." she chuckled and attacked him again.
The fight repeated, the boy was carefully now, however the woman still played with him, not attacking him seriously. But then suddenly she did two turns and two dangerous lunges, and after them a wide swing. Pavel couldn't protect himself from it and fall down onto the ground. Then she was about to give him another strike, but suddenly her blade was stopped, with Oleg's one.
"We don't fight till serious wounds." Oleg said watching at Amaya.
"Really?" she out on a semblance of sadness, "What a pity, I wanted to play with him more." she grinned.
Suddenly they started to hear some steps not far from them. They turned around and saw students, who were slowly coming to them.
"Well, I'm done for today." she waved to Russian hunters, "Have a nice day, hope we'll be able to play again." and then she jumped over the fence.
"What a strange woman." Oleg and Pavel said at the same time.
Little by little the students started to arrive. The first ones who came were Ren, Mai and Aki along with Masami, and then Maki and the rest started to appear. Chikeko came pretty fast too. Behind her was moaning Sakura, who rubbed her eyes and was talking to some students.
"Wow, you're already here?" Chikeko was quite surprised to see Russians in the training ground, "I thought you'd prefer to sleep a little longer."
"Just decided to warm up before the main program." Oleg responded, "And it was quite good."
"What do you mean?" Chikeko didn't understand the answer.
"We encountered another Taimanin, Amaya if I'm not mistaken. She gave Pavel a good lesson in combat."
"Amaya?" Chikeko seemed pondered, "With green hair?" Oleg nodded, "She is a very good teacher, strict, but can interest students, she is working a trainer here."
"Strict? Honestly I didn't noticed that in her." Oleg was impressed of this information.
"No, she always that, and never allow to others wander around without nothing to do, she also hate when it's too loud during lessons, and hate all kinds of foolishness."
'How interesting.' Oleg frowned.
The rest went to change their clothes too, while Oleg was pondered with Chikeko's reply. And Pavel thought about upcoming training.
The people returned pretty fast. The students stood up in front of the teachers and when the last student came into the line, Oleg, as the class teacher started his speech.
"Well students, today, we will have a practice, which demands a good team work. You're not only to fight personally, but also to help your comrades if it's needed. You can't predict what encounter you on your missions, and because of the danger of 'The Third Law', you must know how to coordinate your moves with your partners and not to fail your team." Oleg coughed at his fist, "We'll start the day with a little show for you, Ikenami, Tarasov!" Oleg shouted two surnames, the named students went out and came to the teacher, "We'll have an interesting situation, when the teammates don't know the possibilities of each other and they are to understand them during the battle. Igawa-sensei will help us in it." Sakura came to Oleg too, "Our formation is next, I and Ikenami and Igawa-sensei with Tarasov, is everything clear?" the students exclaimed affirmatively.
The named students went out of the line and joined the teachers they were fixed to. Pavel stood up, next to Sakura and Ren to Oleg.
"I hope you'll watch the battle carefully, after it you'll be asked several questions."
Then Sakura and Pavel went to the other part of the training ground, while Oleg and Ren went to the other one.
"Worrying?" Oleg asked Ren.
"A little." Ren replied, "It's unusual to be in the center of attention."
"You'll get used to it." Oleg replied, "After all, you've already exposed yourself, and it's a good opportunity for you to develop further." Ren looked at him, "You're a good hunter, and in the future you can become like Miss Igawa herself."
"Do you really think so?" Ren looked at him with wondered eyes.
"Of course." Oleg smiled, "That's why I'm letting you to shine now."
"Hey, snails!" Sakura exclaimed with a wide grin, "Are you ready?"
Oleg put his hand onto the hilt of his sword, and asked Ren, "Ready to show them what you are made of?"
"Hell yeah!" Ren nodded and exposed her short sword too.
Pavel and Sakura did the same and in a second both teams dashed to each other. Pavel clashed hi sword with Ren's one, and Oleg did that with Sakura.
"Time to fulfill our bet." Sakura chuckled.
"Yes, sorry not being in my old uniform." Oleg replied her with a grin too.
Sakura jumped aside from him and ran to Ikenami in order to deal with her fast, but she was stopped with a dagger, which was thrown by Oleg.
"So, we're using our skills aren't we?" Sakura wasn't surprised, "Then take that." Sakura ran to Oleg and put her hand to her shadow, it transformed into a shark, which was about to bite Oleg, but the man, quickly dodged its maw.
"Not, bad. Telekinesis against shadow manipulating, let's see what is better." Oleg prepared another dagger.
Sakura jumped and prepared to attack him from the air, but Oleg threw his dagger again, that made Sakura to parry it. That trick did Oleg time to attack, he squeezed his sword and did a lunge, at Sakura, but Sakura could parry it too, then Oleg moved with his finger and the dagger that was repelled a while ago, was flying at Sakura. The orange haired woman landed onto the ground and disappeared in her shadow, then jumped out of it and attacked Oleg.
Pavel and Ren were fighting without abilities; however their fight was breathtaking too. Pavel tried to attack Ren, with difficult strikes, but the girl could avoid them and tried to do the same. Both of them were fighting sharply and strict, but the fight has its own charm.
"Interesting, whose team will win?" Maki was moving her eyes to Pavel, then to Ren, then to teacher and back again.
"Difficult to say." Ketsu replied to her, "Both of them have equal conditions, bt for Ren and Pavel, I think Ren will kick his butt."
"Knowing Pavel, I wouldn't say he is an easy opponent." Aki commented, "He could train in pair with Rinko herself, and there're not many students, who can fight with her in equal."
"Hey, isn't Oleg-sensei bother with something?" someone asked the classmates, "It seems like he is to think of something."
"Hey sensei, how do you think who will win?" Chikeko was asked by some girl.
"I think Oleg's team will win, after all he is more skillful than Sakura." Chikeko suggested, "But still Sakura has a chance too, her abilities are more suited for combat." she was watching at Sakura, who tried to get to Oleg's shadow, and the Russian teacher tried to not to give her to do that.
"What about you Masami?" Maki asked the calm girl, "Which team you're hoping to win?"
"Only the time will show us." Masami replied calmly, 'But still, I hope Pavel will be able to win…' she thought then, watching at the boy and at the girl.
"Not bad Ren." Pavel praised Ren as they clashed their swords again, "The last strike was really a surprise."
"You too." Ren chuckled too, "Fight much better than during our first practice."
"Please don't remember it." Pavel replied, "I was just thoughtful." he looked at Sakura, who dodged the dagger, which was aiming at her back, Sakura dodged, the dagger but it cut Oleg's cheek, 'Is he planning to do what I'm thinking about?' Pavel dodged the lunge of Ren; Pavel jumped out of Ren and exclaimed, "Sensei! Changing!" Pavel ran to Oleg, who dodged Sakura's attacked and used his daggers to attack the woman.
'Damn, he noticed that.' Oleg frowned.
"What's happening?" Aki was quite surprised of such reaction.
"Things become more and more interesting." Mai looked at the battle with a well hidden interest.
Pavel could reach the man and tried to attack him with his blade. But then did a quick turn, blocked the dagger and attacked him again.
"Sorry, I won't give you to use seals." Pavel chuckled, aiming his sword at the teacher.
"Do you think you'll be able to stop me?" Oleg smirked; he saw that Ren was stopped on a half way to Pavel by Sakura.
"I'll try." Pavel smirked too.
"Ikenami!" Oleg shouted jumping away, and stretching his arm.
The girl froze and then flew to Pavel and Oleg, but not as fast as the daggers were flying. Ren reached Pavel and started to fight him again. Sakura ran to Oleg, who was holding Ren a moment ago.
'Quite an interesting way of using telekinesis.' Sakura thought, 'But I know some tricks too.' Then she shouted to Pavel, "Pavel run to Oleg!" Pavel nodded and ran to Oleg overrunning Ren.
Sakura ran to Pavel's side and when she got closer to his shadow, disappeared in it. And when Pavel was close to Oleg Sakura jumped out of the boy's shadow. Then Sakura's shadow started to move and turned into shadow spears, which were ready to attack Oleg.
"Sensei, you won't…!" Ren exclaimed.
'Done.' he smirked and then was pushed off of the spears, while the same was done to Sakura.
"Damn he finished it." Pavel mumbled.
"Finished what?" Sakura looked at him with misunderstanding eyes.
"The seal, sensei, he'll be a real problem for now, but not for long… perhaps five or seven attacks must be his limit."
"The seal?" Sakura thought, 'The thing he drew?'
"Ren, take Sakura, I'll deal with Pavel first." Oleg said to the tanned girl.
"Understood" Ren nodded affirmatively.
Ren ran towards Sakura, but the woman dodged her strike and ran to Oleg, while she was forced to fight Pavel. Oleg smirked, when Sakura was about to sneak into his shadow. He stretched out his arm and removed from Sakura for some meters.
'This ability really unnerves.' Sakura spitted, and then repelled two daggers, which were aimed at her, 'I must try to come closer to him, but how?'
Sakura glanced at Pavel, who was fighting Ren. The boy had some problems as the girl started to fight more strategically. Pavel tried to read her moves, but they were chaotic, so he wasn't able to predict all of them and the same was with Ren.
"Wow, they're really equal." Aki was surprised of the fight.
"Yeah, no one wants to give up." Maki nodded too.
"Sakura should cooperate with Pavel, in order to get Oleg." Chikeko said.
"What do you mean sensei?" Maki looked at the white haired woman.
"They're to get him from both sides, when Oleg is using his repulsion, the second one must attack the place he is dodging."
"I see." Maki responded.
'There's only one way to get him.' Pavel blocked Ren's lunge, 'I must help Sakura from other side.' Then he exclaimed, "Sensei! I'll take him from behind continue to attack him!"
"Understood." Sakura chuckled, and continued to fight Oleg in the same way.
Pavel pushed off Ren and headed back to Oleg.
'Two times are done; I think five are still with him.' Pavel prepared to strike his teacher.
He looked at Sakura, who had a perfect advantage in battle. Oleg stretched out his hand again. But this time he wasn't able to do his repulsion, because of Pavel, who was on the side he wanted to remove.
"Damn, why the hell I showed you my tricks?" Oleg spitted angrily.
He summoned his daggers and quickly jumped away from their directions. Then Pavel got closer to Oleg.
'The shrimp became faster.' he admitted with a slight smile, but then he noticed how his shadow moved, 'What the…?' then something started to jump out of it.
In next moment Sakura hit his blade and gave a strong kick at his stomach.
"Shit!" he rapped out an oath falling onto the ground.
He saw how Pavel was about to attack him again, but Ren protected him, standing between the two of them.
"Not bad Ikenami." Oleg chuckled, "Let's continued our fun."
"Still nothing." Kurenai exhaled as she investigated another route, "I can't belive it, as if earth seemed to swallow them up. We're looking for them for a lot of time, but still found absolutely nothing, but a cloth. If they really were captured these bastards did everything perfectly to hide their trails." Kurenai was irritated of the thought that there was no clue at least to the key where to start the searching.
Kurenai stopped on the roof top of some not big building, the Tokyo Kingdom, was lit by sun, but still her moves were undetectable.
"Interesting, has Ayame found something?" she looked down at the crowded streets, "Demonic abominations." Kurenai saw demons behind her, "How people abase themselves to work with them?" she turned her head to the right and saw nothing, but another buildings, "Interesting, will I be able to see that vampire again? What is he doing now? Looking for that man in the armor?" suddenly her eyes twinkled and looked to another place; she noticed something what hid behind the building, "Ayame." she put her hand onto her ear, "I think I found something."
Then Kurenai headed the route of the flying object. She jumped quickly in order not to be detected by other people and demons. She also didn't want to lose the target out of her sight. She remembered it's where it headed so she tried to follow its way. Kurenai reached the needed building and turned to the same side, and then quickly exposed her sword and a dagger protecting herself from some strange creature that looked like a bat. The creature attack the halfblooded human with its long legs, which had sharp claws.
"What the hell is that thing?" she pushed it off, "A demon?"
"It seems you could find something." Kurenai heard a voice, behind the creature, "And I hope this one is a Taimanin." in a second Kurenai saw a grey haired man with a white doctors robe.
"This person." Kurenai mumbled, "Etienne Richar, am I right?" Kurenai stood in a battle stance.
"The only one." Etienne bowed, "You don't know how I'm happy, I wanted to stop my fruitless hunt, when you suddenly encountered us." the man chuckled, "Get her!" he pointed at the woman, and the winged creature took a wing and attack the woman.
Kurenai quickly dodged the strike, but the creature did another attempt to attack the half human.
'Interesting, will it be able to defeat her alone?' Etienne pondered, 'I don't think it'll be able to defeat a Taimanin alone, but still if it can give her some troubles, the instance will be really impressive one.'
Kurenai decided to use her wind ability in order to get the monster, but her attempts were fruitless. The monster only flew and didn't attack the woman.
'Is it playing with me?' Kurenai thought, 'It wants me to lose my powers and then attack me.'
Kurenai dodged a dangerous attempt the monster to attack her, but then the creature continued to attack.
"How interesting." Etienne chuckled, "You can't get my pet with your wind abilities, it seems you're really a lame type."
'What if I try something like that?' Kurenai glanced at Etienne.
She jumped away of the creature and headed to Etienne on full speed. She prepared to strike him, when the creature headed to him for help.
"Reckless girl." Etienne grinned and prepared his sword for attack.
But then Kurenai jumped and hit the monster by its back, the monster lost its balance and bumped into the scientist.
"Reckless, but smart." Kurenai chuckled, "Now, tell me where are Yukikaze and Tatsurou?! What did you do to them?!
Etienne grinned feeling how a cold metal was pressed against his neck.
"Sorry, but I don't know what you're talking about. Who are these Tatsurou and Yukikaze?"
"What the…" Kurenai wasn't able to finish her statement, when suddenly something hit her.
Kurenai fall onto the ground, but then quickly returned onto her feet. She looked at the place, where she was a while ago and saw another creature, which had features of snake, its arms were long and it seemed that they hadn't bones at all.
"You'll pay for that, you filthy slut." Etienne wiped his robe, "I don't know anything about the one you said, but I'll promise you'll be suffering a lot."
The monsters started to get close to Kurenai, how suddenly a trident pierced the ground between her and the creatures.
"Sorry, but isn't it good to attack a lady in three?" they heard a voice, not far from them, but then they saw a grey skinned person with pointed ears and red eyes.
"You again?" Kurenai was surprised seeing the newcomer.
"Long time no see." Ezekiel grabbed the hilt of his trident and prepared to fight, "Questions later, let's deal with these ones first."
"I don't mind." Kurenai stood in a battle stance, "But I need the human alive, he is to bring me to my comrades." Kurenai frowned.
"I need him too." the vampire nodded, "He'll bring me to Walter."
"You want quite a lot, I must say." Etienne released several tentacles out of his sleeve and launched them at the vampire.
Ezekiel quickly cut them and did a summersault in order to dodge the other ones. The winged monster flew at him, but it was disturbed by Kurenai, and the humanoid snake headed to help to the scientist. Its long arms were good for medium lunges, it didn't attack the vampire in close, and Etienne tried to do the same. He took out several needles and threw them at Ezekiel. However, Kurenai's wind could repel them.
'Damn woman, her wind ability unnerves a lot.' Etienne thought, 'Maybe it's time to check, Walter's blood again?' he put his hand under his robe, 'I hope its modernization won't give me the same feeling.' but then his eyes were widened, 'The hell is that?'
Etienne saw how a red aura was used by the vampire, the snake monster fall onto the ground, it tried to get up, but the vampire wanted to deal with it, however, Etienne stood between them.
"Sorry, but I was working really hard to make these creatures, so I won't let you kill them." Etienne repelled his attack, 'This scum uses aura that means he is a dangerous one.' he thought then.
"Are scared?" the vampire chuckled.
"Dream on." Etienne licked hi lips, "I'd like to experiment with you, but I'm being late to my meeting point, so I hope I'll be able to get you next time." he did a pause, "Celine!" he exclaimed then.
And in no time both of them were covered with icebergs, which were destroyed in a second.
"Shit!" Ezekiel tried to attack the ice, but his try was pointless.
"They've gone." Kurenai wasn't glad with the result of their fight, she looked at the vampire with narrowed eyes, as if she still didn't trust to him, "Can I ask you a question?"
"What is it?" Ezekiel turned his head to the halfblooded vampire.
"Were you following them or just encountered at them so luckily?"
"Still don't trust me?" Ezekiel narrowed his eyes too, "Well, I had been chasing them for several hours and waited for a moment to attack."
"So, you knew about me and didn't help?!" Kurenai was shocked hearing that, "And you called e your friend, what friend will let to be friend be in danger and watch at it."
"I thought you're skillful Taimanin after all." Ezekiel replied calmly with a slight smile, "At the same time, I was checking the situation on their friends; I didn't know where were his friends."
"Since you were chasing them, didn't you see my comrades with them?"
"Which ones?" the vampire raised his eyebrow.
"Well one is pretty low." Kurenai showed, "And has brownish hair, her uniform is like a swimsuit, she has a sun tan and the other one…"
"No, they had no one with them." Ezekiel replied, "There were two other monsters with them and a woman, but this group headed to other location."
"I see." The half vampire nodded, 'But what did he mean he knew nothing about them?'
Suddenly they heard a shot and both of them quickly jumped to different sides.
"What again?" Kurenai quickly looked at the side where she heard a shot.
In next moment she saw Ayame, who stood between her and Ezekiel pointed her guns at the vampire.
"Kurenai, I'll assist you!" Ayame prepared to shoot, but, the halfblooded vampire could quickly grab Ayame's hands in order not to shot at the vampire, "What are you doing?" Ayame looked at her friend.
"It's the second time, when Taimanin want my death." Ezekiel chuckled.
"Ayame, it's a friend." Kurenai told to the human.
"What?" Ayame was stumbled of these words, "But since when?"
"He was the one who saved, from the demons, which attack me?" Kurenai looked at Ayame, trying to cool her down.
"So this vampire is your savior?" Ayame looked at Ezekiel.
"Yeah, something like that, and know he did the same again." she confessed.
"Well, nice to meet you." Ayame stretched her hand in order to handshake it.
"Mutually." Ezekiel nodded, "The name is Ezekiel, I'm a vampire, by the way, haven't you decided to join me?" he looked at Kurenai with interest, "Together, we could get Black and Walter and if your friend will join us we'll have a perfect additional power in fighting them."
"Sorry, but I don't think like that." Kurenai replied to him, "I don't associate myself with mercenaries, "And what about to join us? I think you'll perfectly fit in our collective."
"The same, don't associate myself with Taimanin." he chuckled at her question, "Well, I have to go, maybe I'll get these bastards if I hurry up, if you think to join me just come to my shelter, remember?" Kurenai only nodded and then the vampire disappeared without noise.
Ayame wanted to say something, but Kurenai didn't let her do that, "Let's return back, I have something to report to Asagi." Ayame nodded and both of them headed to the place they came from.
Oleg and Ren still were fighting Sakura with Pavel. The fight became more energetic than it was before, but Oleg and Ren started to protect themselves more, while Sakura and Pavel started to attack them. Sakura decided to do a good feint in order to get Oleg, she let Pavel to attack him and then did a quick jump to her colleague, she tried to hit him, but he successful blocked the attack with his daggers.
Sakura noticed that Oleg started to act strangely, so she decided to use it. She quickly dashed to him and hit him at his hand, Oleg decided to jump aside and exclaimed.
"We're surrendering." Oleg raised his arm.
"What?" Ren looked at Oleg, with wondered expression, "But?"
"I'm on my limit." Oleg said, "Didn't know that you're so terrifying opponent." Oleg looked at Sakura.
"Did you think I will be somewhat of a kid?" Sakura chuckled.
"No, after all you're from Igawa." Oleg chuckled, "And as I heard, all of you are terrifying."
"But still, I'm not as skillful as sis." Sakura replied, "However, can kick some butts even alone."
"What's going on, sensei?" Ren wasn't glad with the result of their duel, "I was about to beat Pavel."
"I wasn't going to lose that easily." Pavel protested, "I could stand much more than you think."
"Tell that someone else." Ren replied to him with a chuckle.
The students along with Chikeko came to the fighters and started to ask lots of questions, but Oleg showed them a sign to calm down.
"All of you want to know the reason, why I decided to give up." Oleg looked at their puzzled and excited faces, "The problem is that I was using a seal for some period of time."
"A seal?" Maki asked.
"What seal you're talking about?" another student asked the teacher.
"The seal that increases the ability of hunters. In Russia we use them from time to time, but only when the situation is dangerous or we have a good cover." he looked at Ren, "These seal can be drawn with our blood or with the blood of demons."
"And how do they work?" Chikeko asked him, "Are they some kind of a mere empowering or something else?"
"Well, each element demands it's one complex of seals, wind demands one, while water abilities demand another number of seals and etc. The problem is to remember them and knowing how much of your energy you should pour into them." he did a pause, but then continued, "Seal separate for three main categories, for attacking, for summoning and protecting, however, summoning and attacking can be similar in some ways."
"What do you mean sensei?" Ren asked him.
"Well, as I understand, you've started to think that summoning I'm talking about is similar to calling some monster or something like that, but it's not that, summoning type calls some kind of an anomaly, difficult to predict what it'll do, and not all hunters use them, because they demand a lot of powers. As for me, I've never used such type." he looked at the students, who were watching at him with interest right not, even Shig, who always tried to show himself cooled down a little, "How do you think what type of seal did I use right now? Attacking one or for defense?"
The ideas separated, some students started to say that it was attacking one, while the other part was voting for defensive type. Pavel only smile at such hot discussing, he came to Ren, and whispered something into her ear, the tanned girl only looked at him with interest and smiled too.
"So?" Oleg asked the class.
"For defense."
"For attack." There still were two groups.
"Well, it was defensing type." Oleg nodded at the answer of the first group, "As you could notice I only protected myself. Using it I could repel myself for some distance, it's a beneficial tactic, but still dangerous in using, you'll lose your powers fast, and won't be able to continue your fight, as for my I can use one seal for eight times, and gradually I'll lose lots of my powers on it. So if you don't have a mental user next to you, you shouldn't try to use them that way."
"By the way, sensei, who started to use seals in such a way?" Mai asked the teacher, "We use them only for sealing demons."
"It's a difficult question." Oleg looked at serious Mai with impressive eyes, even Chikeko and Sakura were waiting for the answer, "Seals is kind of dark magic or in other explanation a demons technology, and it depends on the number of demonic cells in your blood, if you have a lot, you can use them more than the one, who has not many."
"So each of us can use them in any case?" Sakura asked Oleg this time.
"Yes, but you need to reveal your powers without knowing your element or aspect, you can use them."
"Does that mean Pavel can't use these seals?" Chikeko looked at her colleague, Oleg only nodded.
"Well, for now we start our main practice!" Oleg commanded, "Split in two groups, you'll fight other teams, Andou, if you want you can be in practice along with Pavel or Ikenami."
"With Pavel." Masami replied with nod, "If he doesn't reject."
"Of course he doesn't." Oleg pushed Pavel at his back, "Now let's start our practice!"
"Sorry for my delay, Master Kuroi, I was pondered a little." Shiranui said to the white haired man with dark skin, who was sitting, on the sofa and was watching at the roof of the room, "Am I late?" she glanced the room which was a big a spacy office; she saw that only Kuroi was in it.
"Yes, I hope you have a good reason to be late for important meeting." Kuroi didn't seem glad.
"Accept my apologies." Shiranui bowed to him, "But I encountered my daughter with the people I was encountered before." Kuroi frowned.
"And what is the result of your meeting?" he asked her coldly, she even flinched of such voice.
"I retreated, because they had an ally, who is as strong as myself." Shiranui replied, she wanted to add something else, but she felt something behind her, she turned around and saw Kuroi, who was sitting on the sofa a while ago.
"As I remember, you promised to get you daughter, didn't you?" Kuroi put his hand onto her cheek, and then inserted his finger into her mouth.
"I promised." Shiranui mumbled, unclearly, "But, couldn't… my other side didn't let me to get Yukikaze."
"Your other side?" Kuroi frowned, "Is still resisting?" he looked her into the eyes.
"Yeah, but I taught her a lesson." Shiranui replied, "So I don't think she will interfere now." Kuroi pulled his finger out of her mouth and returned back to his sofa.
"Pretty soon it'll stop bothering you." Kuroi smirked as he sat back onto the sofa.
"What do you mean master?" Shiranui was wondered with such answer.
"I'm going to give you a special blessing." the man looked at the woman, who came closer to him, "Soon you'll become my favorite, as I'm going to make a demon out of you."
"But, I thought it takes a lot of powers!" Shiranui exclaimed, "Do you want to lose some of you power, what if…?
"Don't worry, I'll lose nothing." Kuroi chuckled, "Because of a special condition, which happens each decade, I'll be able to turn you into a demon, without losing my powers."
"So I'll be able to take the place next to you? And I'll be able to get rid of my past one at the same time?" Shiranui seemed glad and happy hearing that.
"Something like that." Kuroi nodded, "But I don't allow you to leave this place since now without my personal permission." Kuroi looked at her with serious eyes, "I don't want someone to capture you, especially for Black, you'll be a good target."
"But, I thought you would like me to capture Asagi." Shiranui chuckled, "She would be a good addition to your Majesty."
"We'll do it in its time." Kuroi looked at Shiranui, "Right now I want you to be prepared for the upcoming ritual, I think the position will be right in a few days, and I'll turn you into my personal favorite."
"I'll wait for that Master." Shiranui cooed, "And what was on that meeting? Have something serious happened?"
"Yes, we lost contact with Sasaki, as I was told his factory was attack by Taimanin and some other hunters, I don't know who they are, but I won't let someone to stand in my way." Kuroi squeezed his fist.
"If you want I can investigate it." Shiranui chuckled, "If you let me to do that, of course."
"No need, I've already received all information I needed. This bastard will pay dearly too, if he dares to appear in front of me."
"I'll cut his head personally for you Master." Shiranui chuckled at the statement of her Master.
"Which location we will investigate today?" Yukikaze looked at the map, which was between Doppel and Splash, who were discussing something with each other.
"Ah, it's you." Splash didn't seem surprised, "We think about it."
"Still trying to guess where to look for her mother." Doppel said putting a chip in her mouth, "We cleaned checked only three locations, and there are still four of them."
"Maybe we'll check them in groups?" Splash looked at Doppel.
"In what groups?" Doppel looked at her comrade, "What if Shiranui is in some of these locations and she will kick our butts?" Doppel took another chip.
"For example we can investigate on location with her and that boy, while Hush and Drunkard will check the other one." Splash replied, "Must I always explain everything?"
"If only in such teams, but I don't think it's a good idea to split even in such groups." Doppel replied to him, "We can check two locations per on time, and not to risk at all."
"I think Splash is right." Yukikaze sat next to him, "If we check more of locations we can be able to come for help to another one."
"The problem is they are separated pretty far from each other." Doppel pointed at the circles, "I don't think we'll be able to get to the other team in time. And what if we encounter a big amount of demons, like previous time?"
"Your truth." the blue haired man nodded with sigh of irritation, "So what? Another two locations today?"
"Yeah, like usually." Doppel nodded, and looked at Yukikaze, "By the way, where is Tatsurou? I thought he should be with you."
"He is training with a white haired man." Yukikaze replied, "He is wearing a white uniform too."
"Avalanche." Splash mumbled, "Hasn't this ice headed got something to do with commander?"
"Did you want to practice with the boy too?" Doppel chuckled at his statement.
"I want to discuss our formation for next sortie." Splash took out a cigarette of his metal box and burnt it with a match, "And at the same time, where is Drunkard and Hush?"
"Hush is charging, and Drunkard is talking to Commander." Doppel replied, "If you want you can go to them."
"No, thank you." Splash released smoke out of his mouth, "I'll give him an opportunity to report everything."
"I wanted to ask you one thing." Yukikaze suddenly asked them, "What made you all to join this organization? I mean you're all so different, and still you work here and don't leave."
Doppel and Splash looked at her.
"Well." Doppel didn't know what to say, "It's a very difficult question, I even don't know, how to start answering it. The problem is that no one joined us on their will, only because of need. Someone tries to find family here, someone wants to earn a lot of money, for something important, like helping to their close people, some people joined us because they lost faith in their governments."
"Wow." Yukikaze was puzzled with that answer, "And what about you two?" she looked at the woman, who looked sad now.
"As for me, it was a task to survive, someone dangerous was hunting me and I decided to join this organization."
"I didn't know that." Splash looked at Doppel, "Why didn't you tell us? We would…"
"No need to worry, this one is dead now, so I can breathe free now." she looked at him too, "And, will you tell you reason to her?"
"Because of my younger sister." Splash angrily replied.
"Did she do something?" Yukikaze didn't understand why the man changed so quickly.
"She was dumped with our damn government." he put out his cigarette, "If not it she would be alive, and that Eugene, if I see him again, I'll shove my sword in his damn ass!"
"Do you mean Russian politician?" Yukikaze looked at him.
"Yeah, Fedorov, as I understand he has visited you." Splash grunted, "I suppose, he told you how perfect is Russian government, damn bastard, better to chat about that rubbish in Russia."
"Hey, don't speak about him like that!" Doppel said, "I'm sure he didn't want your sister to be trapped."
"We've discussed it; I don't want to start that shit again." Splash looked at her angrily.
Yukikaze felt herself extra in their company, she didn't know what the two persons were talking about, and decided to go and let them discuss, their problems alone.
Yukikaze headed by the base, not knowing where she would come, but still tried to remember where the training ground was, where could be Tatsurou with that Avalanche she saw, but didn't get acquainted. She met some people in her way, but she didn't talk to anyone, and the people did the same, as if they weren't interested in her at all.
Suddenly she started to feel worried, as she didn't know where she was going, but then she suddenly stopped as she heard familiar voices. She looked behind her, and saw no one, so she quickly pressed against the wall and started to listen to the voices.
"Are you sure that it's true?" Drunkard's voice said, "Do you really belive into the chat of this scaly bastard?"
"I don't know, but he never lied to us before, at the same time, I checked it too, my eye sees something strange in the sky." the voice of Commander said.
"And if that true? What should we do? Even I would like to do that." Drunkard said, with a puzzled voice.
"Here's the problem, we can't predict where she can be, and the time is running out, if we delay, we will never be able to get her."
'Who are they talking about?' Yukikaze thought, trying to take a better position for listening.
"And what about these two? Should we tell them?" Drunkard asked him.
"Right now, no. Today you'll clean the as much locations as you can, and try to know where she will hide, only then do as you think."
"Understood." Drunkard replied, "How much time do we have?"
"Few days, maybe five or six, I honestly don't know, however the demons must know."
"And what about that lizard headed? Didn't he tell you?" Drunkard didn't like the respond.
"No, you know, he always tells the half of the information and when you need to hear it all he just tells the time will show everything."
"Yeah, and the time will tell when we all will know that damn thing." Drunkard was irritated too, "Well, I'll go and prepare myself, and check Hush at the same time. I think it's enough for him to charge."
Yukikaze gulped. She quickly glanced and saw nothing, what could help her to hide, she decided to turn around and continue her way, as if she wanted to find something. However, she quickly bumped at Drunkard.
"And what we're doing here?" he looked at the daughter of the Taimanin they were looking for.
"I was looking for the training ground." Yukikaze said like nothing happened, her voice was as energetic as always, "Splash said it was somewhere here, Tatsurou is training with Avalanche so I decided to check him."
Commander left the room too.
"Follow me, I wanted to talk to Avalanche." Commander said with a serious tone, Yukikaze flinched of this voice.
They started their way from silence, Yukikaze didn't know what to talk about with that scary man, but still the man decided to start the talk first.
"How was your first official mission with our comrades?" Commander asked her watching ahead.
"Amazing!" Yukikaze replied, "But still we couldn't get mom, and she could escape." she added with a lowered voice.
"Your mother is one of the best hunters, so no wonders she could escape, so easily from you." he replied to her, "If not Asagi, she could become the leader of you." Yukikaze looked at the man with wondered eyes, "Have you understand, how to fight with you teammates?"
"What do you mean?"
"I mean, have you think tactics, how to act in dangerous situations? Or you do everything according the situation?"
"Well, I think according on situation." Yukikaze nodded, "But still your people are really impressive, Drunkard helped us a lot, if not him we would be captured."
"He told me that." Commander nodded, "That's why you must think about strategy, if not to think everything you'll be dead quickly."
They came to the training room in no time, in its doorways; they saw a boy in the purple uniform and the man with white uniform, who fought each other. They stood in order to watch the fight, Commander was interested in the battle. He even didn't let Yukikaze to interrupt it.
Tatsurou tried to attack Avalanche, but the man skillfully dodged his wind lunges, and attacked him back with his ice attacks. It was easy to see that the man didn't fight seriously, however it was possible to see that Tatsurou did some serious mistakes, and Avalanche used them in order to teach the boy not to do them again. Then the white haired one increased his pace, Tatsurou did the same, but the boy started only to protect himself, and as Commander saw, his defense was pretty good, wind attacks protected the boy amazingly.
"Quite good moves for a young Taimanin." Commander said attracting the attention of the fighters.
"Commander?" Avalanche saluted to the man, "Nice to meet you."
"Good afternoon." Tatsurou bowed in greetings.
"Have something happened?" the white haired man asked the man with an eye patch.
"Just wanted to see how the two of you practice." Cyclopes replied, "How is he for you?" he was watching at the man.
"Well, the boy is very skillful." Avalanched clapped him by his shoulder, "However, he becomes thoughtful from time."
"It's a usual thing for him." Yukikaze chuckled, that made Tatsurou become confused.
"I don't do that too often." he replied, "I'm just thinking of a strategy."
"Your wind manipulation is really good." Avalanche said, "You perfectly use it for attack and protection, the perfect way for you is to fight on medium distances."
"Yeah, Oleg-sensei told the same." Tatsurou nodded.
"But you shouldn't do that often if you have a distanced partner, you're to pull enemies attention for yourself and let your comrade to deal with them, or you can let your enemies focus on your partner and help him at the same time, however it more difficult." Commander replied.
"I think the second idea is more difficult." Tatsurou replied, "You're not only to help your comrade, but to kill demons, which attack him."
"It's easy too, you shouldn't focus on the ones, who attack you, your opponent is to protect your back, while you protect him, just don't attack enemies who are behind you and everything is fine."
"By the way, Commander, have you ever done such a method?" Avalanche asked him.
"Yes, we often do it with Hush." the man nodded, "But his drone is a good edition in fighting, so it's a bit another story."
"By the way, Commander, Professor wanted me to tell you something, as he said it's about the action of 'The Third Law'."
"I see." he nodded to Avalanche, "Well if you two want to have a practice the room is in your service, but still don't forget you have another sortie today, so I hope you won't over do with that." the Taimanin nodded and the two mercenaries left the room in a slight hurry.
"Well Tatsurou, ready to run from lighting?" Yukikaze chuckled as she took out her guns.
"My wind won't let you touch me." Tatsurou replied and their practice began.
