A/N: Well, I was GOING to update Dynasties & Dystopia today, but something came up.
Namely, a family member who lives with me caught Covid, which means I need to isolate, but I need to take care of her. AGAIN!
I'm in no mood to write properly at the moment, so here we are. As promised, this is the plot bin for my Arcane ideas. Don't consider this a new story. It isn't.
Merely a...sounding board, if you will.
As ever, I own no references, themes or memes!
And so, with that said...away we go~! Hope this puts a smile on your face.
"Gambling? Ha! I gamble with my life everyday.
Whats a game of cards compared to that?
"Deal me in."
~?
First Fragment
"I hear you like to gamble."
Sevika looked up as a strapping young blond sat at the table across from her.
"I do," she allowed slowly, cigar twisting in her lips around a small smile. "Whats it to you?"
"Oh, nothing" His voice was honey itself, warm and soothing. "I'm a bit of a gambling man myself, y'see, and I'm looking to kill some time."
She turned her head just so to regard him, taking him in at a glance, and nearly dismissing him without cause. Young. Twenties. Striking blue eyes framed by whiskered cheeks and a sandy mop of blond hair that looked to be in need of a good haircut. Dark trousers and a darker shirt, over which he'd flung a deep navy blue vest. There was a scarlet scroll bound to his arm, but her attention was drawn elsewhere as the hand attached to said arm laid a deck of cards out for her.
"Word on the street is you get things done around here." he spread his arms wide. "Whaddya say to a few rounds? I've got an offer to make you."

...she really shouldn't. Silco would be expecting her bright and early tomorrow. There was work to be done. A wise woman would call it a night here, take her winnings and leave. And yet there was something about his smile. As if he were waiting for her to do just that. Her false arm twitched under the red shawl she always wore, metal fingers fiddling restlessly with one another.
Screw it.
What did she have to lose?
"Alright," she allowed. "I'll deal you in."
The young man grinned. "You won't regret it."
As luck would have it, Sevika did. But that's a story for another time...
A/N: There, the plot bunnies are gone! Now I can continue~!
Surgery hurts. Surgery hurts a loooot. But silence from readers and reviewers? That hurts even more.
As ever, reviews keep this old man alive during this dark and crazy time. I ain't joking.
Seriously, we're all locked away anyways these days, its all that sustains me.

Silco chuckled as Sevika stumbled in. At least, she thought it was a chuckle.
"You're smiling. I've not seen that before...
She covered the love bite on her neck and coughed.
"What fun, what fun!"
Heimerdinger sighed. "My boy, how did you get up there?"
"Uncle Naruto! You're baaaaack~!"
"Oomph!" he toppled over with a grunt. "Little Vi used tackle! Super freaking effective...
"Heh." Vander chortled softly as he regarded the sprawled blond on the floor. "Tried to warn ya...
Powder landed on Naruto's chest a moment later, driving a low wheeze from him.
"This is my life now...but hey, I come bearing gifts!
Deidara scoffed. "You call that a bomb?!"
He clapped his hands twice.
"THIS IS A BOMB!"
R&R~!
