A/N: PLEASE read this note. I beg of you.

First, Double update day! I just finished updating A Most Unlikely Berserker when an idea hit me. So here you go. Hope you enjoy.

Second I have to keep writing, my grandmother's funeral is taking place in a few days and I can't bear to think of that.

Because if I THINK about it, then I'll start crying again, and once Is tart I won't be able to stop.

In other news, I've gotten a load of requests for NarutoxRWBY stuff. I had a dozen yesterday, but I managed to shift them away into the plot bin, though it hurt. Unfortunately three of said ideas are just itching to be written. Working titles are, "The Gods Must Be Crazy" and "Crazy Equals Genius" as well as "Practice Makes Perfect."

I don't want to spam a bunch of new stories, but the ideas are just so goood...no! Bad Neon! Resist!

In any case, here you are. Hope you enjoy this little drabble in the meantime.

As ever, I own no references, quotes, memes or themes. Not a wit or a one!

I'm off to have good cry, hopefully I'll get this out of my system.

...looking forward to your reviews. See you later.

"See, that's the thing. There's always a bigger fish.

"And you? Oh, buddy...you're just a tiny guppy in a small pond.

There's a whole ocean out there. And there are sharks in these waters."

Monster Like Me

It wasn't supposed to be this way.

Adam Taurus was a man with a plan.

This? This was very much not a part of said plan.

He would slay Sienna and lead the White Fang to glory. Simple, no? He knew he could kill her. He was strong. She was weak. His time was now. Hers had long since passed. She held the White Fang Back with her words, kept them from realizing their true glory. She did not understand. She would never understand. The attack on Beacon had been a triumph, a moment of blazing glory for their kind. Many celebrated it. She did not. She condemned them for it, threatening to cast them

He hadn't expected Sienna to have a guest when he came to kill her.

"Adam." she saw him and smiled, reclining upon her throne. "How nice of you to join us." a clawed hand beckoned. "By all means, approach."

Taurus went still. Suddenly, the sealed doors behind him felt more like a trap for him than her. He shook the feeling off. His gaze flitted to the individual standing at Sienna's side. Whomever they were, they'd taken great pangs to conceal their identity; that dark hooded cloak wasn't enough, they even wore a strange fox-mask of sort. From this angle he couldn't discern their gender. Was it a man? Or a woman? They were too slim for him to make any reasonable assumptions. He was tempted to consider the former, but one could never be sure.

One hand flew to Wilt's hilt.

"And who is this?"

"Hmm?" She turned toward the Masked Man and granted him an almost catty smile. "Oh, right. You've not met him." she touched a hand to the stranger's shoulder. "Come now husband, don't be shy. We're all friends here are we not?"

Adam stopped short. "Husband?"

Oh dear.

With nary a sound, the stranger pulled back his cowl and removed his mask. A tan face was revealed, framed by blond hair and blue eyes. His smile was a placid one, but Adam wasn't fooled. He'd seen that kind of smile before. This was the look of a man with a silver tongue. He would not be taken in by his words. He steeled himself against anything the blond might say.

"Well, don't you remind me of tall dark and broody...

Well, except that! No! Enough stalling. His time was now. He had waited years for this. No longer!

"Sienna!" Adam ignored her quirked brow. "Your time is done-From this day forward, I will be the one to lead the White Fang-

"Ha!"

He wasn't prepared for her laughter.

"What's right for the White Fang? Is that so? Ohhh, Adam." she wiped a mirthful tear from her eye. "Kill him."

The blond sighed and started down the steps. "Can I have his sword?

"But of course, Naruto."

Adam tore Wilt free from its scabbard.

"If you think I'll just step aside and follow beneath you, you've got another thing co-ack?!"

There was no word or warning. One moment he was balking at the brash blond before him. In the next? Blood spattered the floor. He looked down. Blinked. Balked as he stared at the bloody arm protruding through his torso. What trickery was this? This...this wasn't happening. It couldn't be happening. Firm fingers closed around his heart and he had a moment of awful realization. I've blundered. Then they tore it away and he couldn't realize anything at all.

"Nothing personal, kid."

Adam pitched forward onto his knees, gasping for air. Death! This was death! All the colors of the world were fading away, replaced by gray. Darkness crept it. His good eye squinted against it, trying in vain to blink back the black. He fought to push himself upright, but his limbs failed him. And the floor was so very comfortable. He just needed to rest. Yes, that was it. Close his eyes for a moment, muster his strength. That sort of thing. He'd wake up refreshed and kill them all...no! Resist!

"Well done, dear." Sienna crooned, regarding his killer with a lidded gaze. "Sharp as ever. I expected nothing less from you."

"I'd hope so." rusty laughter filled the air as he returned to her side. "You were the one marry me, you know...

Naruto walked right over his body, paying no more attention to him than one would an ant.

"Now, if you want to start a revolution, you have to win hears and minds...

No...No...the White Fang was his to rule! Not theirs!

Adam tried to speak, to utter one final word.

All he managed was a bloody gurgle.

Naruto looked over his shoulder.

A lone blue iris winked at him.

"Sweet dreams, bull boy."

Shadows swept in.

A/N: Ding-Dong! Adam's dead!

Aaaand there we have it. This drabble is done.

"Now wait just a sec, don't tackle me-OOMPH!"
