A/N: Double update today! This and What Could Have been.
I'm pushing real hard to update "Enemy" and "Dystopia", too. Sadly me muse is fighting me...
It really wants to write another Boys story, one with Naruto smacking Homelander around...and A-Train, too. After the latest episode, the temptation is there...
As ever, the Embers Rule Persists; if folks truly don't enjoy this tale, then...I'll not continue it. I can't bear to write something folks don't like, and working two jobs on a near back-to-back basis leaves my energy at an all time low. So by all means, speak up! Raise your voice! Make yourself heard!
As ever, I own no references, themes or memes!
Now then, with that said...awaaaay we go~!
Again, this is merely a fragment...
"I haven't had this much fun in ages!"
~?
Seventh Fragment
There were times when Naruto questioned his life choices.
These days, he liked to think himself a reasonable fellow; not the sort to fly off the handle in a fight, nor let his emotions get the better of him. He was better than that, you know? If time had taught him only one lesson, it was to stop and smell the roses.
.
..
...pah!
Who was he kidding! He'd made all manner of mistakes since he landed in this rotten world. This was hardly one of them. Zaun was a horrible place to live, the air so thick a man could hardly breathe. Only a madman would live down here, much less adopt two brats while contemplating a revolution. An speaking of children...
"He started it!
"No, he did!"
"Nuh-huh!"
"Yeah-huh!"
"Both of you!" He dangled Vander and Silco by the scruff of their necks and gave each boy a mighty shake. Why wouldn't he? They were children, after all. "Apologize to each other! Say you're sorry!"
He may as well have been speaking to a brick wall for all it mattered.
Vander scoffed, glowering with a black eye. "To him?!"
Silco reared back and spat. "Never! I'd sooner-
"APOLOGIZE! OR SO HELP ME! I WILL SHAVE YOU BOTH BALD!"
A/N: And there we go. A fragment, something that may or may not come to be.
A little wholesome goodness in which everything worked out.
As ever, reviews keep this old man alive during this dark and crazy time. I ain't joking.
Seriously, we're all locked away in isolation or worse these days, words are all that sustains me.
So in the Immortal Words of Atlas... Review...Would You Kindly?
No previews this time. Too depressed.
Feel's like the world's gone crazy.
R&R~!
