A/N: Hey.

Sorry for the odd update schedule this month, I've been updating stuff that isn't RWBY as of late.

Some liked that. Some...judging by the insults...did not.

On another note, Crazy Equals Genius should be updated tomorrow. Furthermore, Killing Monsters and All Things Must are reaching their final chapters before the end of the year. Likewise! Daddy's Little Devil is nearly done as well. Best Served Cold is winding down as well.

Thought I'd made a point of mentioning that. Why, you ask? Hmm...I wonder...

Just because I'm not updating my RWBY stories every day anymore, I have people beating down my door, saying I've forgotten it.

Take an anonymous reviewer (Blueberry) and other users with an account (whom I won't name for the sake of discretion) for instance. I don't know how to say this anymore. I've forgotten nothing, I'm just trying to spread the love around. You say I've given up on RWBY? That it bores me? That I won't write it anymore?

You do realize I'm writing all this **** by myself now, right? No more team. Just little 'ol Neon.

So here, have this fragment while I work on the big guns.

As ever, I own no references, quotes, themes or memes. Not a wit or a one!

Lets have something a little spooky for the season, eh? Hope this makes you smile. I'm so tired...

"I'm haunting you~!"

Haunting

"You're better than this, Hazel."

The ghost was talking to him again.

Hazel growled a little to himself as he splashed water onto his face. Hard, jaded eyes consciously avoided the mirror and the sink below it, focusing solely on the running water within. He knew what -who!- he'd find staring back at him if he looked up. Blue eyes, blond hair, whiskered cheeks ever so slightly dimpled in a frown. To look was to acknowledge him, and he knew the moment he did he'd lose his temper. That would lead to another shouting match again, and if Tyrian or Watts heard him talking to himself one more time, they'd go straight to Salem.

To say nothing of Cinder.

"C'mon, don't ignore me!" he felt a hand on his shoulder and shivered a little at the ice cold fingers. "You know that won't work."

"I know you're barking up the wrong tree." Hazel closed his eyes and stormed through his transparent form ignoring the frigid shiver that followed. "Give it up."

"Never!" The voice hollered at his back as he stomped into the hall. "I won't rest until you listen to me."

He needn't look back to know the wraith was following him.

"There's nothing to discuss."

If he hadn't known better he would've thought it his semblance, but no, that was the ability to nullify pain. He didn't even know this kid. He'd just appeared one morning, this baffling blue-eyed blond, and started pestering him. Something about being a better person. Nearly a month of this now, and already he was at his wits end. Almost thirty days without rest, and still the bold blond continued to badger him, telling him to be a better person.

Hazel Rainart was beginning to go mad.

But he would be better. Once Ozpin was dead. No matter how many deaths that took.

"There's plenty to discus." Naruto's spectral form swept around him. "This attack on "Beacon" or whatever it is...you're seriously going to let it happen? Just like that?"

"Its too late to stop it." Hazel stalked right through him. "Cinder's already there. Before long, Beacon will be ashes."

The spectral shinobi crossed both arms before his chest. "And all those people will die."

Hazel looked away. "Its for the greater good."

"Greater good, eh? What would Gretchen have to say about that?

Something snapped. It might have been his temper. "What do you want from me?!"

"I want you to do the right thing!" Naruto bulled forward, azure eyes boring into him. "You know what that is!"

He slammed a door in the specter's face.

Naruto phased right through it. "You do realize that won't work. You can't run from this, Hazel!"

Hazel flung salt at him. "Begone, spirit!"

It passed right through Naruto. His smile was nothing short of cheeky. "Nope. I'm haunting you."

The giant flung hunkered down and covered his ears in a rage. "I won't listen!"

Naruto tilted his head just so. "You will...eventually."

One word summed up Hazel's existence.

"Aaaaargh!"

A/N: Because this strikes me as something Naruto would definitely do. And there we go.

(Previews!)

Salem flung up her hands. "What witchcraft and wizardry is this?!"

"Copyright!"

Arthur Watts flung up his arms. "How could did they just kill me off like that?! I had so much potential!"

Neji raised a glass. "First time, eh?"

"Shut up and let me drink!"

(EDIT: Clearly a reincarnated bit for the next two here...)

"Are you ready for your first day of initiation?"

Naruto fiddled with his blindfold. "Ready as I'll ever be." Sinister scarlet slits orbs peeked through the thick black cloth as he tugged up the fabric. " Do I have to wear this thing?

"To hide your eyes, you most certainly do."

His son sighed. "Everyone's gonna think I'm blind."

"Better that than revealing your true abilities."

...fine, fine."

"Look at you!" Ozpin wiped a tear from his eye. "They grow up so fast. Why it feels like just yesterday Glynda and I were changing your diapers."

Naruto went red from head to toe. "Daaaaad! You're embarrassing me! You're the headmaster for crying out loud!

Glynda patted his head. "Do watch out for strangers in the Emerald Forest."

"Mom! How the hell am I gonna get a team, then?! Ugh, can't believe I reincarnated into this mess...

Ozpin quirked a brow. "What was that?"

"Nothing!"

Salem slapped her forehead. "My son, why do you do this to me?"

Sasuke smiled softly to himself.

All part of the plan.
