In all fairness, Naruto tried to retreat. He just wasn't quick enough. Summer pushed this small pink creature into his arms and he was lost. His legs locked up and his arms curled around his newborn daughter nearly of their own accord. Her cried quieted at once and just like that, he was lost.
Was this how Sasuke felt when he held Yang last month...?
