Luz tapped her foot as she stood outside her house, waiting for her bus.
"This is fucking stupid." Luz said.
"You opened a portal to Hell in the middle of school, Mija, what else are your father and I meant to do?" Camila asked, walking outside, "If it wasn't for your father, then you may have been taking away and dissected."
"Yeah, cause that will work." Luz reached up and snapped her own neck, "It will be hard to do that to me."
"Mija!" Camila said, grabbing her daughters head and realigning her neck, "You can't do that in public."
"I am the princess of Hell, the literal Anti-Christ." Luz said.
"You're still my daughter! I don't care if you are meant to bring the apocalypse, you will listen to your mother." Camila said firmly.
"Whatever." Luz said, crossing her arms.
"Now, your bus will be here soon, and your father wanted me to remind you to take your book." Camila said, handing Luz a large book with black leather and a pentagram and a book that was the complete opposite.
It was colorful, flowery, and something that made Luz act more like an adorable puppy than the heir to hell.
"The Good Witch Azura!... And... you know... my Devil Tome too." Luz said.
"Mmm Hmm." Camila hummed with a smirk, giving Luz the Devil Tome as well, "Your father told me to make sure you didn't leave without them. Remember, no spell practicing in public, don't steal anyone's souls, and NO OPENING PORTALS TO HELL." Camila said giving Luz a kiss on the cheek, "Adiós, te amo, también lo hace tu Padre."
Camila left Luz and went to work. Luz went to put the Azura book in her bag with her Tome when she noticed... her Tome was missing! Luz's eyes widened.
"W-w-where is it!?" Luz asked, looking for it, when she heard a hoot.
She looked up and saw an owl with a bag that had junk and her Tome in it! Luz's nails turned into claws.
"Okay, little guy, we can this the easy way, or the hard way." Luz said, "Give me, my Tome back."
The owl turned tails and rushed off.
"Oh? So it's the hard way then? Fine by me!" Luz shouted, rushing over the owl.
Out of the public eye, Luz's eyes turned black with red iris as she began to run in all fours!
'You won't escape me!' Luz thought as her eyes glowed red.
The young half demon ran as fast as her arms and legs could go, which was actually pretty fast, moving similarly to a wolf when running, but the owl eluded her grasp. The owl hopped into the old cabin and Luz followed it, not noticing that the door was glowing.
"Hooo!" The owl let out, flapping out the doorway!
"Give me my tome, you flying brown rat!" Luz shouted, pouncing at the owl!
The Owl flew away as Luz missed and landed face first on the ground. She growled as she picked herself up, wiping the blood from her nose.
"Where did that damn bird go with my Tome." Luz said.
"Finally, you're back!"
Luz heard that voice and went to the tent flap. She saw a woman with wild gray hair, in a red dress, with a bandana wrapped around her hears.
"Let's see what you brought." She said, spinning the Owl onto a stick, making it wood.
The woman pulled out a cell phone.
"Garbage."
She pulled out a diamond ring.
"Garbage."
She pulled out the Holy Grail.
'So that's where Uncle's grail went.' Luz thought.
"Garbage." She said, "Now this!"
She pulled out novelty glasses with spring eyes.
"This will make me rich!" She pulled out the Devil Tome, "And this... well this will make good kindling."
Luz's heart nearly started at that. She ran out, grabbed the book with one hand, while putting her other hand on the table and spinning a bit on it, and kicking the woman away.
"Don't burn my book!" Luz said.
The woman skid on the ground before rubbing her chin, glaring up at Luz as she rose to her feet.
"Kid, you just made a BIG mistake." She said, standing up with her staff.
"Your stupid bird started it when it took something very precious to me." Luz said, glaring at the woman as she raised her claws.
"Did you just call Owlbert stupid?" The woman asked, "Oh you're dead now kid."
"I already am." Luz said, getting on all fours and running at her.
Luz jumped and tried to slice the woman with her claws. To her surprise, the woman spun the staff and made a shield around herself.
'Magic?!' Luz thought, crashing into the shield and bouncing back.
"How's that feel, Kid?" The woman asked, before destroying the shield and turning the magic of it into a powerful blast, "Now try this on!"
Luz jumped over the massive blast with agility and grace that would rival Spider-Man. She landed on her legs and sprinted at the woman, except instead of her claws, she would use her fire. She formed the red flame in her hands and threw two fire balls at the woman. The woman spin her staff to block the fireballs, skidding back a bit as Luz rounded to her back!
"Think fast!" Luz shouted, slashing her in the back!
"Aaaah!" The woman shouted in pain before Luz clinched in a chock hold!
'What the hell is this kid!?' The woman thought, 'She has round ears like a human, yet she can use fire and her nails are as sharp as claws!'
She didn't realize how close she was, Hell is an accurate description of Luz. Refocusing in the fight, the woman backed up into another stand and slammed Luz into it, completely destroying it!
"You'll have to do better than that!" Luz shouted, not even feeling the impact.
She stood up and removed the wooden board that was sticking through her chest. The wound closed like it didn't even happen, even her clothes stitched themselves back together.
"What the fuck are you?" The woman asked.
"The one that will drag your soul to hell!" Luz said as she held more of her red fire.
Luz slapped her hands together and shrouded herself in her fire, charging at the woman as she set everything around her ablaze!
"Oh Titan!" The woman said before spinning her staff, charging up her magic and unleashing a large ice spell!
The ice and fire hit, causing a lot of steam cover most of the market. The woman held her staff and prepared for whatever came next. There was the sound of pages turning rapidly, and as the steam cleared, Luz stood there, her Tome in one hand, and a long black katana in the other. Luz closed her Tome and it floated in the air near her. Luz ran with her sword and swung at the woman, who immediately blocked it with her staff.
'Damn, this girl is tough.' The woman thought.
Luz didn't stop as she skillfully used the black katana, slashing and stabbing at the woman as she blocked or dodged her attacks!
"That's stick won't last forever!" Luz shouted, planning to slice through it and the woman.
She was about to when suddenly.
"Freeze!"
Luz looked and saw several guards. She turned away from the woman and gripped her Katana.
"Put the weapon down, or we will use force." A guard said.
"Try it." Luz said, getting ready to attack.
Luz took a step forward before the woman put a hand in her shoulder, pulling her back!
"Hey! Get off me!" Luz said to her.
"Sorry kid but it would be suicide to take on this many guards at once." The woman said, seeing about 15 coven guards surrounding her, "Come on, I respect you enough after our fight to at least save you."
"Wait, my book!" Luz said, seeing her Devil Tome.
She pulled Luz away as the book was taken.
"No!" Luz screamed as the woman jumped on her staff, flying away as she reached out to it!
It was too late, The woman dragged her onto the staff and flew away as the guards took Luz's Tome.
"Looks like one of them dropped some contraband." A guard said, holding the book.
"We'll take it to the Conformatorium until otherwise. Better it be someone safe then in the hands of wild witches." Another guard said.
They left the market while the woman landed a few miles away.
"Phew, that was close." She said.
"Close? CLOSE!?" Luz said, her eyes glowing red and her teeth changed into fangs, "THEY HAVE MY FUCKING BOOK! I CAN'T USE MY MAGIC WITHOUT IT! I NEED TO GET THAT BOOK BACK!"
The woman smirked.
"Well, maybe we can help each other." The Woman said, "I'm Eda the Owl Lady, and I might know where they brought that book of yours. I'll help you get it back, if you help me get something they stole from me."
"Help you?! Your bird tried to steal from me, you just tried to kill me, not going to work by the way, and you think you can just ask me for my help?!" Luz shouted at Eda, her red eyes glowing brighter!
"Fine, go get it back yourself." Eda said, "After all, you clearly know where it's being held."
Luz grabbed Eda by the neck and raised her claws... before lowering them.
"FINE!" Luz said, "Fine, I'll help you."
"Great!" Eda said with a smile.
"But when I get my book back, I'm gonna shove my sword so far up your ass, you'll be shitting my grip for a week!" Luz shouted.
"Yeah, whatever, now, do you know any humans?" Eda asked, "Because there's a barrier that only a human can get through where this stuff is being kept."
"I mean, I'm half human, so I could probably get through there." Luz said.
"Half human? Then what's the other half?" Eda asked.
Luz just giggled as she let Eda go, putting a finger to her lips.
"That's my secret.~" Luz said in a teasing song.
Eda looked a bit amused.
"Fine, keep your secret, I'll find out sooner or later." Eda said.
"Sure you will." Luz said, rolling her eyes as she turned to Eda's house. "So, you gonna invite me in or what?"
"What, you a vampire or something?" Eda asked, "No need to ask, just walk in, don't mind Hooty though."
"Hoo-"
"HELLO!"
Luz jolted from the sudden greeting as she turned and punched the voice, socking a bird face attached to a worm body as it stretched from the door!
"OW!" Hooty screamed in pain, his left eye now swollen and block.
"What the fuck is that?!" Luz shouted, pulling out her claws to attack if need be.
"That's Hooty." Eda said, "Now let us in Hooty."
"After getting punched in the face by a stranger?! No!" Hooty shouted!
"Fine." Eda said, "Be that way, come on Kid, we're going to get that book back."
Luz nodded before she did "I've got my eye on you" fingers between her and Hooty.
Eda got her staff out again and they flew back into the air.
"So, tell me something Kid." Eda said, "... Why do you act all mean and strict?"
"I'm not acting mean! I'm a demon, that's how we are!" Luz said.
"So, you're a demon, told you I would find out what you are!" Eda said, "But seriously, I can tell when someone is trying to act tough, and I can tell you aren't as mean as you make yourself out to be."
"That's none of your business!" Luz said.
"Kid, I'm just saying-" Eda was cut off by Luz's hovering her claws near her neck.
"Don't act like you care or know me when you just want to use me. Once this is done, I am OUT of this dimension!" Luz said.
"Fine, be that way." Eda said.
Luz was annoyed... because Eda was right. This mean and strict face, it was all an act. A cover Luz had to put on to please her mother and father, mostly her father but still.
'A demon needs to be tough, cruel, and evil, just like dad.' Luz thought.
But Luz didn't want that, yet she was too afraid of what her father would think about how she really felt. They land at the place and Luz looks at it.
"This is a prison." Luz said, "Prisons in hell are less horrifying."
"Hell?" Eda asked Luz. "You mean that place is real?"
"Of course it's real." Luz said, "Now where is the grandpa damned place they're holding my book?"
"It should be held at the top of the tower in the contraband room." Eda said, pointing to the top of the prison.
"Great, how do we get up there?"
"Correction, YOU will get up there while I cause a distraction." Eda said, pointing to Luz.
"Oh, so I'm just fodder. Great." Luz said, extending her claws again. "I better get climbing then."
"You'll be fine, I saw you pull a wooden board out of your chest." Eda said.
Luz rolled her eyes and used her claws to climb up the tower.
"Whatever, I'm sure you can do the same with that magic you're proud of." Luz said, climbing the tower.
"Maybe but I don't wanna risk it." Eda said, using her staff as a chair while flying upward. "See you at the top!"
Luz climbed to a window at the top and jump through it. She carefully looked around, not leaving the room until she was sure there were no guards around.
"Okay, now to find my tome." Luz said, looking around.
She put her hood up and summoned a black demon skull mask to cover her face.
"Hey, skull lady." A voice said, "How'd you get out of your cell?"
Luz turned around to see a woman, possibly a vampire via the fang, standing in a cell with her arms crossed.
"I didn't escape. I just came to get something that was taken from me." Luz said.
"Well, getting in is easy, getting out is the hard part." The woman said, "I mean, really easy, I got thrown in here for writing fanfiction."
"Fanfiction? What kind of crime is that?" Luz asked, confused by this.
"Right? It's nothing bad, just living food finding love. What's so criminal about that?" The woman asked, pulling out her writing journal.
'At least in hell the prison is filled with people that deserve it, like people that tried to assassinate my mom.' Luz thought.
"I'm in her because I like to eat my eyeballs. I can't help it, they're so tasty." A demon man with pale white skin and five eyes said before taking one of his eyes eye and eating it.
'I mean, I've partaken in a bit of cannibalism, it's a normal thing for most demons.' Luz thought.
"I don't see anything wrong with that." Luz said with a shrug.
"Well, you don't since you're a skeleton but thanks." The eye eating demon said as his eye grew back.
"Actually I'm not, this is just a mask." Luz said.
Luz took it off to reveal her human face, surprising them greatly.
"Whoa, you're human?" The woman said in surprise.
"Uh... not exactly." Luz said, "I'm half human."
"Half?" They both said.
"She is the destined one! The being created to end all worlds in a fiery blaze!" A third prisoner shouted, short with white skin and a big nose!
"Okay, what's her deal?" Luz asked.
"She's really into conspiracy theories."
"The world is a simulation! We are nothing but playthings to higher beings!" Big Nose shouted!
"Hmm, interesting." Luz said, raising an eyebrow.
'She's not exactly wrong.' Luz thought.
"Those... aren't crimes, maybe a bit annoying at best, but where I'm from only extremely dangerous criminals are behind bars, people that try and kill the... person in charge and stuff like that." Luz said, looking at the handle, "Hold on, I'm getting you out of here."
Luz walked to the handle and grabbed it before hearing/feeling the ground shaking beneath her.
"What the home?" Luz asked.
"Oh crud, it's the warden! Hurry and hide, kid!" The woman said to Luz.
Luz quickly ran into an empty cell and slammed the cell entrance shut. She then placed her hood and mask on as she moved back into a dark corner, blending in with the shadows as she watched a large demon man come into view outside the cell.
"What are you freaks talking about?" He asked, before stepping on a wanted poster.
He picked it up and saw it was a wanted poster of Eda, growing angry and crumbling it up. His fist turned into a hammer and he slammed it into cell bars. "One of these days, I'm gonna catch that vile woman." He said.
'Yeesh, someone likes their job too much.' Luz thought before Wrath looked into her cell.
Luz simply glared as he eyes flashed red, making it appear a full demon was inside instead of a half demon.
"Keep glaring like that and I'll have your head." Wrath said, only seeing the eyes.
"It grows back." Luz said, using a deep intimidating voice to mask her own.
The warden growled at Luz, tempted to test her words and open her cell.
"Leave her alone, you big bully!" Tiny Nose said, making Wrath turn to her.
"What was that… Pipsqueek?"
"We aren't afraid of you, ya bully! Our spirits and hopes cannot be broken!" Tiny Nose shouted.
Wrath opened the gate.
"Let's test that, shall we?"
"Bring i-" Tiny Nose was cut off as Wrath grabbed her entire body with his large hand!
"Let this be a lesson to all of you, you'll be punished if you don't shape up and fit in!" Wrath said, holding Tiny Nose up and crushing her in his grip.
Luz growled at him. Luz didn't know the demon but she knew for a fact that none of them deserved to be here as Wrath walked away. This wasn't justice or rightful punishment, it was sadistic torture. Luz pulled the bars off the cell and went over to the lever.
"I'm going to get you guys out of here, and then I'm going to kill that warden."
"Kill the warden? You?" The woman said in shock.
"Well, maybe I won't kill him, but I will make sure he NEVER abuses his power again." Luz said, lifting the lever.
Their cells opened up, revealing them her monster like strength before Luz walked off.
"Thanks, Kid." the woman said, "I hope to see you again."
Luz walked to a door and kicked it down, breaking it in two. She walked inside and saw two guards.
"Hey, who are-"
Luz ran and shoulder checked one guard into the wall, cracking it, before grabbing the other guard by the neck.
'Kill him, feast on his soul, embrace your inner demon!' Her inner Demon said.
'Don't do this, you aren't a killer.' Her inner angel said.
Luz delivered a headbutt to him, knocking him out and dropping him.
'No! He'll just come back and be a problem again, kill him!' Her inner demon shouted.
'You did the right thing.' Her inner angel said.
Luz growled.
"The only downside of my dad being the first angel is I have both his demon side and angel side in me." Luz said, "And you two argue all the damn time!"
Luz had to actually slam her head into the wall, cracking it and making her head bleed, to make them shut up as she contained forward.
'Will you two ever get along?!' Luz asked her inner angel and demon.
She doesn't even know why she thought that, the answer was no... and never will be anything except no. Luz entered the room where everything was supposed to be.
"This is the place. So where's Eda?" Luz asked, looking around the room.
"Hey kid!"
Luz jumped and turned. She grabbed Eda by the neck and held her claws out.
"Woah, calm down, it's me!" Eda said.
"Then don't sneak up on me like that! I could kill you at any moment!" Luz shouted, dropping the witch.
"Noted. Never throw you a surprise party." Eda said.
"Great, now what do we do?" Luz asked.
"Well, we hope that your human half is enough to get through this." Eda said motioning to the barrier.
"And that's it, I find the thing you need and my book then we leave?" Luz asked Eda.
"That's it, no loop holes. Cross my bile sack and hope to die." Eda said.
Luz walked up to the barrier and... couldn't get through it.
"Huh?" Luz let out, bumping into the barrier before knocking on it. "I can't get through."
"What? Dang it! I thought being half human would be enough but it seems like your demon side is the more dominant." Eda said, kicking some pebbles on the ground. "And if you can't get in, you can't get your book or the thing I need."
"So this was just a big waste of time, just... fucking great!" Luz said, punching the barrier.
"Yeah, well, might as well get out of here before the warden catches us."
"Fuck that! I'm not leaving without my tome!" Luz said, gazing up and down at the barrier.
"Well then how are you gonna get it? Dig under it?" Eda asked, joking.
"If I have to then yes!" Luz said, "That Tome is too important to me, it's one of a kind!"
Luz sharpened her nails and began clawing at the floor, quickly chipping some of the stonesway so she can tunnel underneath the barrier.
"Kid, you're going to get us caught!" Eda said.
"Good." A voice said from behind.
Eda gasped at the voice as she turned around, seeing Warden Wrath and two guards standing at the door.
"Eda the Owl Lady, I finally have you within my grasp." He said, smiling under his plague mask.
Luz noticed something... he had her book!
"I must say, this book is something else... where did you get it from?" Wrath said.
"None of your business! Now give it back or else!" Luz shouted, showing her claws.
"It belongs to you then? A human?" Wrath asked.
"Give me... my... book." Luz growled, "Or else."
"Or else what?" Wrath asked.
Luz held out her hands and two balls of fire formed.
"I kill you."
She threw the fire at Wrath, knocking him back and making him drop the book.
"My book!" Luz said before rushing towards it like a beast!
Luz grabbed it and let out a small sigh of relief.
"Back where you belong." Luz said before she opened the book, turning to a certain page.
Before she could, she was slammed by Wrath's hammer hand.
"LUZ!" Eda shouted in worry as the two guards rushed at her.
"Get the owl lady!" The guard said!
Eda spun her staff and blasted the two with magic.
"I don't know why that time is so important to you, but I'll never let you have it again human." Wrath said, grabbing the book and walking towards Luz. "But I will keep you alive long enough to tell me exactly what it is!"
"Fuck you." Luz said with a growl, pushing herself up.
"Have it your way then." Wrath said, making his arm into a scythe.
"Wrath, don't!" Eda shouted at him.
He swung at Luz, and she used her thumb and middle finger to catch it.
"What?" Wrath said in shock.
"Let me make something clear. You are VERY out of your league right now, that first hit was just a lucky cheap shot." Luz said, standing up and glaring at Wrath. "So either you drop my tome or you experience a whole new world of pain."
"Are you threatening me, human?"
"Maybe I am, asshole, what you going to do about it?" Luz asked.
Wrath made his other arm a hammer and swung at Luz, but she simply flicked his chest and sent him flying into the wall. Eda ran up.
"Okay, you got your weird book, let's get out of here!"
"Not yet." Luz said, picking up her book and turning to the same page again. "Someone needs to learn a lesson."
"Sorry but school is out!" Eda said, picking Luz up and hoping on her staff! "Gun it, Owlbert!"
They fly down the hall, but Wrath is on his way after them.
"You both won't escape! The owl lady and that book will be mine!" Wrath shouted.
"Uh, does this thing go any faster!?" Luz asked, "Or do I have to cook him!"
"Do not threaten my Palisman!" Eda said to her, "Maybe I was wrong about you, maybe you are evil!"
"I'm a demon! Of course I'm evil!" Luz shouted at her but felt some pain in her chest from saying that.
They made it outside, but Wrath was close behind, and knocked the staff down. The two went crashing to the ground in a small pile and dust as Wrath landed in the ground a few meters away from them!
"Luz, take this, go back to the human realm!" Eda said, handing Luz the key.
Eda ran to battle Wrath and Luz looked at the key.
'Are you really going to just leave her to battle him?' The Angel asked.
'She is a criminal, I can sense all the sins she's committed. She's no better than the souls in hell.' The Demon said.
'But there's also sadness, anger, heartbreak.' The Angel said, 'She deserves a chance, everyone does.'
Luz looked at the key, then her book, then at Eda.
"I know what I need to do." Luz said.
Wrath was making quick work of Eda, already knocking her to the ground.
"Well, Owl Lady, it's time to end this." Wrath said, raising his hammer arm.
He was hit in the back by a knife.
"Ahh!" He said, before turning, "Who dares attack me!?"
"I do." Luz said, her tome floating in front of her, "You will let her go, or else, I will hurt you in ways you couldn't possible imagine."
"And what will you do, little human?"
"I'm not human." Luz said as her eyes turned red.
Luz placed a hand on her tome and a black shadow formed around her hand, creating a Skull Knuckle Knife.
"A weapon? So that's what the book does it summons magical weapons!" Wrath said.
"Oh, it does more than that, but you aren't the anti-Christ, so it won't work for you."
Luz shut her book and rushed at Wrath, holding the knuckle knife tightly as he charged at her!
"I'll slice you to pieces!" He shouted, both hands turning into axe blades!
"Try it!" Luz said, charging at him.
She swung and clashed with Wrath, putting them both in a stalemate of strength!
'How is she so strong?!' Wrath thought.
'Weakling.' Luz thought, pushing Wrath back with ease.
In a blitz of speed, Luz delivered 4 cuts to Wrath on his right shoulder, left him, left Knee, and his open chest!
"Guh!" He grunted in pain.
Luz went for another attack, but Wrath swung at Luz, cutting her arm off and making her drop her knife. The arm and knife burned to ash and Luz grew a new arm. She opened her book and didn't even look as she pulled out a battle axe.
"Nice try but now it's my turn!" Luz said, swinging at Wrath, who jumped back but got a deep cut on his arm.
Luz looked at the ground as Wrath fell to the ground, while letting out a dark laugh, which quickly became echoey and more... demonic. She looked up, revealing her red eyes, sharp teeth, and several small patches of scales on her face.
"Tell me, Wrath... what's it like to see a TRUE demon?" Luz asked, with a voice that sent a chill down Wrath's spine.
"A-A-A-True demon?" Wrath asked with a stutter, slowly backing away with a crawl.
"Yes, a demon that makes you question EVERYTHING you THINK you know." Luz said, slowly approaching while dragging the axe on the ground.
Luz raised the axe up, smiling evilly as she did, slowly giving into her inner demon. Even Eda was a bit shocked at this side of Luz. Luz slammed the axe down, hitting the spot next to Wrath by just an inch. Wrath was terrified.
"W-w-what are you?" He asked.
"I am Luzifer Satania Noceda, daughter of Queen Camila and King Lucifer, I am the princess of the underworld, bringer of chaos... I am... the Anti-Christ."
"I-I-I don't now what that means!" Wrath said, stuttering.
"Hehehehe, well on Earth or the human realm as you might know it, it means I'm destined to bring the APOCALYPSE. Aka the end of days." Luz said, grinning widely as forked tongue hissed from her mouth, "In other words... don't make me mad."
Luz grabbed Wrath and threw him all the way into the tower of the prison.
"AAAAAAAH!" Wrath screamed before crashing through the other side of the tower.
Luz brushed her hands off and let her axe burn to ash. She picked up her tome and smiled.
"So, that's been taken care of."
"Yeah….." Eda said, still shock and slightly afraid of Luz. "Ready to go?"
Luz nodded.
"Hey, uh... you were right." Luz
"Huh, that's a first." Eda said, "About what?"
"I do hide my true self behind a mask of hatred and intimidation... being the princess of damnation means I need to show I'm not a push over... I don't like it, so... mind if I stay here for a while?"
"I don't exactly mind but are you sure, kid? This place probably isn't all that better than your home in hell." Eda assumes.
"Oh trust me, it is. And thank you." Luz said, smiling at Eda.
A genuine smile instead of a fake smile.
"Now, what was that was taken from you?" Luz asked.
"Well, not me but my friend. And I know this will seem stupid but it's a paper crown." Eda said.
"A what?" Luz asked in surprise.
"A paper crown, I know it's not much but believe me, it's very important to my friend." Eda said to her.
Luz got an idea.
"What about a real crown as a replacement?" Luz asked.
"A real crown?" Eda asked in surprise.
"Being the princess of hell means I have a couple, as I was growing, I had different sized crowns, so what size you need?" Luz asked.
"Um around this big?" Eda asked, drawing a spell circle to create an illusion of King's head. "Got anything in this size?"
"Hmm, yeah I think I got something." Luz said, opening her tome.
'I was about that size when I was four, so let me summon that crown.' Luz thought.
With a wave of her hand, Luz summoned her old crown from her book. Silver metal with obsidian gems around the base and amethyst gems on top of each point.
"Holy treasure!" Eda said with wide eyes.
"UNholy treasure actually." Luz said, grabbing the crown and closing her book. "Let's get this to your friend."
"Yeah, before anyone else shows up and tries to kill us... er... well more me than you." Eda said.
Eda hoped on her staff and let Luz get on before flying away.
'I have the bringer of chaos sitting behind me.' Eda thought, 'Guess my life just got a little more interesting.'
Arriving back at the owl house, Eda lead Luz inside as Hooty was keeping an eye on Luz.
"Well, now that that's been dealt with, welcome to... the Owl House!" Eda said, snapping her fingers.
The candles around the room lit up, revealing a mystical yet cluttered living room set up.
"Hmm, I like it." Luz said with a smile, "I mean, it's not as big as my family's castle."
"Yeah, keep bragging." Eda said crossing her arms.
"But it's still pretty nice." Luz said.
"Thank you but still." Eda said before she shouted. "KING! I'M HOME! And I've got something for ya!"
The ground started shaking.
"Who dares intrude upon I?" A deep voice said, "The king of demons."
A small furry creature walked around the corner, wearing a bath towel. Luz, being the powerful, feared, and violent demon she is... immediately hugged him.
"Oh you're so cute!"
"Weh?! Who are you?! Why are you hugging me?!" King asked, struggling in Luz's arms.
"I am your new roommate and new best friend!" Luz said, nuzzling King's skull.
"King, meet Luz... Princess of Demons." Eda said, "Luz, meet King, King of Demons."
Luz immediately put King down.
"Sorry, had I known I was in the presence of a fellow royal, I would have acted better." Luz said, playing along.
"As you should be I forgive you. I can understand that being in my presence can be much." King said, dusting himself off.
"It is still no excuse, I was raised better, my father is a King himself, I should've known better." Luz bowed and held out the crown, "Please, take this. A sign of thanks for being so understanding."
"Hm, it would be wrong to refuse a gift from another royal." King said, "Very well."
King grabbed the crown and placed it on his head, feeling the weight on his head as he could FEEL the genuine authority and power that came with a real crown!
"Yes, yes I like this! I thank you for your offering!" King said with a smile.
"Thank you for accepting it, King." Luz said, "Perhaps we can tell each other about the differences of the demons we rule over in our two realms."
"I like the sound of this!" King said with a nod.
"Yeah, you'll have plenty of time for that." Eda said, "Because she's staying here for the summer. I sure hope you know what you're doing, because I don't need your dad after my head, I have enough of that already."
"Don't worry, dad won't. You may be a sinner but you're not a bad person." Luz said to Eda.
"How can you tell?" Eda asked.
"It's a little something I've been able to do for as long as I can remember. Dad calls it "sin vision."" Luz said.
"I can see the sins you've committed, but I can also see your soul, you're a sinner, but your soul isn't dark." Luz said, "Unholy Fuck, you've committed a lot of sins!"
"Stop looking at my sins!" Eda said, covering herself.
"I can't help it, some of these are REALLY funny." Luz said, giggling a bit.
"It's specific too?!" Eda asked with a blush.
"Yep!" Luz said, "Oh wow, I did not need to see that one. Man, you were really flexible weren't you?"
"Ok, I'm done!" Eda said, heading upstairs.
"Do I even want to know?" King asked.
"Depends, how old are you?" Luz asked him.
King shrugged.
"I don't know…eight?" King said, seemingly unsure of his own age.
"Then no. You are TOO young to know what Eda's sins are. Even if you may have seen some." Luz said to him, "Now, I'm going to go get a room made so I can sleep. Want to come with?"
"Of course. A King must give a tour to a fellow royal." King said before crawling up to Luz's shoulder.
"Then let's be off, you noble king." Luz said.
With King on her shoulder, Luz walked through the house in search of a room she could sleep in. Her first stop was the bathroom, witch happened to look a lot like a normal one in the human realm.
'Good to know they have modern plumbing.' Luz thought before moving on to the next room, which happened to be filled with all sorts of medieval weapons.
Swords, axes, crossbows, shield, maces; nearly EVERYTHING before modern guns were created.
'Oh, I like this room.' Luz thought.
She came upon an empty closet, with a few boxes in it.
'This will do.'
"This is where you will sleep? You are a princess!" King said to Luz.
"I know but I'll managed." Luz said before opening her tome, "Just need a little help from hellish magic."
Luz smiled as she cracked her knuckles. With some energy flowing from the book, Luz made it spread around the room before beginning to warp it. The walls turned black and a chandelier with black candles and red flame formed on the ceiling. A large bed made of black wood was created, with red bedding formed, along with a black desk and dresser. Luz smiled and closed the book.
"Best part, I made the room bigger without changing the house shape or structure." Luz said.
King gasped in awe of the changed room, wondering how she did that and how he could learn that himself!
"This room is incredible!" King shouted.
"Thank you." Luz said, putting the book on her desk.
"If I were to ask, where would I sleep in here?!" King asked Luz.
"The foot of my bed if that's fine. It's the finest silk in all of hell." Luz said, walking to her bed and sitting on it, "Ah, now if only I had some liquor from my dad's wine cabinet, I'd ironically be in heaven."
Luz laid on the bed.
"You drink?" King asked, walking to the bed.
"Being half demon allows me to be immune to nearly all types of poisons, drugs, and alcohol." Luz said, "But, yes, I drink. It Demonic Wine taste amazing."
"Can you describe it for me? The only alcohol I've ever had is apple blood, and that was the kid friendly versions." King said, jumping on the bed and making himself comfortable.
"There's a drink called "apple blood" here? Oh I want to try that!" Luz said, "Anyway, demonic wine taste like souls of the damned, with a hint of grape."
"Oh!…And what do souls taste like?" King asked.
"Hmm, that's hard to explain. They don't have that much of a taste, more like a texture and temperature depending on their sins." Luz explained. "You know?"
"No." King said back.
"It's like... drinking hot water or cold water, the temperature is different and can make it different." Luz said.
"I don't feel hot and cold water." King said, "I can swim in the Boiling Sea without feeling anything, so I don't know about that either."
"Really?" Luz asked him.
King nodded.
'Huh, well, I can figure out more about him tomorrow, I need to sleep.' Luz thought.
Luz opened her book and snapped her fingers, causing her clothes to be replaced by black silk pajamas.
"So soft." Luz said, caressing her hand on the left sleeve.
"Yeah." King said, nuzzling against her left leg. "I've never felt anything this soft before."
Luz jumped into bed and clapped her hands, making the candles go out.
"Have a bad night." Luz said, closing her eyes.
"Don't to mean "goodnight?"" King asked.
"You'll get used to my terms, soon." Luz said, going to sleep anyway.
