In other news, its day 36 of site notifications being busted at the moment.
Folks get them in the app, but not on the web browser, which is becoming a proper pain for some of us. Hopefully they'll fix it soon...though it has been almost a month days with no response about the emails...
If this chapter gets a ton of feedback as well-hopefully!-then I'll do my best to ensure a weekly update again. If not...I don't know. I really don't.

In other news depression's starting to hit real hard these days. I've been writing here for fifteen years and yet sometimes I wonder why I do anything at all. I can't claim to understand what's going wrong with my head. I don't even know why! One moment I'm fine, then my mood craters for a few hours, then I'm back again for a bit, and the cycle repeats. Its rather annoying; as though I've become a prisoner in my own mind sometimes. Sure, what's one more mental problem on the pile. Not like I don't have enough, what with already being this old. Feels like every day is a battle sometimes. My doctor is of no help at all. Can't find a proper therapist to save my life.
Trying to find a decent an AFFORDABLE one is absolute hell, and its driving me bonkers. *siiiigh* Don't mind the rambling of this geezer...

"LETS USE THE OPEN SPACE SOME MORE!"
Amber ducked with a yelp as Tyrian rocketed overhead, propelled backward by the sheer force of Naruto's kick to hurtle off the road. His back struck a tree and he found himself wedged there, but only for a moment as the grinning warrior materialized to drive a fist into -then through!- his battered stomach. The tree burst into a pile of sawdust, then the poor faunus was gone, launched deep into the forest as one might fling a skipping stone across the lake. She didn't think for a moment that would put him down for good.
Mercury walked past her with a wink and strode over to the fence to retrieve his blade, still wedged into the wood.
His hand closed around the hilt-
And Tyrian Callows reappeared him with a yowl, diving upon him in a dervish of death, slashing and screaming and spitting like the lunatic he was. Her savior rolled his eyes and didn't even deign to look backward before throwing an elbow into the melee. Amber heard an awful crack. The faunus crumpled, clutching at his face, blood seeping through his fingers.
Naruto -Mercury!- turned to face him with an almost disappointed sigh. "I keep tellin' ya to put more force into your attacks."
"You bastaaaaaargh?!" his words warped into a wail as Wilt flicked out, severing his tail before it could reach him.
Naruto smiled. "What did I just say?"
It was not a nice smile.
Tyrian screamed.
He was still screaming when Naruto grabbed him by the hair and reeled him into a crushing kick. Up and down, right, left and center, he brutally battered his older opponent into the ground. There was nothing he could do to stop him; it didn't matter if he cut could cut through aura; whatever would he inflicted healed thrice as fast and only emboldened Naruto to be all the more vicious.
"Don't go breaking on me now, Tyrian! I'll keep playing with you until I get bored!"
Amber watched as he dismantled the Faunus like he didn't even exist.
Kinda made her wish she had popcorn...
