This will be a mult-chapter story that focuses on Emiya and whichever King version of Artoria that has been recently summoned to Chaldea.
Each chapter will serve as a different what if scenario or their own route if any you prefer to call them that.
The only Artorias that will appear will be Saber, Salter, Larter, and Lanceria.
I don't own anything.
"Master, maybe you should just..."
"Zip it, Emiya! Give me some more quartz! NOW!"
Emiya sighed, yet he did as he was told and gave his redheaded Master her last three quartz.
Today, Gudako Fujimaru, the last Master of Chaldea, accompanied by Emiya, was in the process of doing her annual summoning and like most other times mostly attained either mapou tofu, Black Keys, or duplicates of servants she already had.
Gudako's ever reliable Archer could see that his Master was close to losing it because of a lack of success, and despite Emiya's best efforts, Gudako refused to stop until she summoned a new servant.
As Emiya watched his Master put her last number of quartz on the summoning circle and then started praying, he could sense that something had felt... off about this upcoming summon.
Emiya wasn't sure how to explain it but as soon as he placed his hand on his chest, he could feel that something inside him, something familiar was now reacting to his Master's last summon of the day.
Perhaps one of the many weapons in his reality marble sensed that its original wielder was about to be summoned and eagerly awaited their arrival, except it hadn't happened before, so why now?
Who could it be that Emiya's Master was going to summon?
Was it someone they had met during their time dealing with the Singularitys, or was it someone that Emiya had met during his time as a Counter Guardian?
Or could it even be someone who knew him from another timeline?
After all, some of the other servants, Liz, Tamamo, and even Robin, to name a few examples, had called Emiya "Nameless" when they had first seen him, believing him to be the Archer that they had known from their Grail War.
Whoever it was, Emiya could only hope that it wasn't another version of a certain blue spandex wearing Lancer, Chaldea didn't need to have any more dogs.
As Emiya kept pondering, from the summoning circle, he could see a massive golden glow appear within the summoning light, Gudako began cheering, clearly happy that she was going to get a new servant.
"YES! YOU SEE THAT, EMIYA! LOOK AT THAT GLOW! AND YOU TOLD ME TO STOP! YOUR MASTER'S GONNA GET SOMEONE GOOD TODAY!"
While Gudako was dancing happily, Emiya found himself amused at the sight. Despite how his Master could change her personality in an instant, he did genuinely care for the girl and he was happy that after so many failed attempts, soon she would have a new servant to contract with.
Unless this was going to be another Stheno situation, then Emiya would need to have some ice cream ready.
Maybe all of the ice cream, just to be on the safe side.
That was a matter for later, for now, whoever arrived, Emiya would try to get along with them for his Master's sake.
Eventually, after the light died out, both Emiya and Gudako could see the silhouette of an armored figure appear.
As the individual became more visible, Gudako and Emiya both had mixed reactions to the identity of the newly summoned servant.
Gudako's eyes were brimming with excitement. She was overjoyed that she had gained such a strong servant on her side.
Emiya's eyes, on the other hand, were shocked and filled with disbelief. He couldn't believe it. How could this be the servant that had answered his Master's call?
While Emiya thought over what he should do next, Gudako walked up to the new arrival with her hand held out.
"Hey there, it's nice to see you again! It's me, Gudako, your new Master! Oh wait, sorry I forgot there's a chance you might not remember me from the last time we met."
As Gudako sheepishly rubbed the back of her head, Emiya, having heard the last thing she said, allowed himself to calm down.
There had been servants that hadn't recalled their past encounters, whether it be from a Grail War or having met in a Singularity, meaning that there was a chance that this was going...
"I do recall meeting you, Master."
"That's great to hear!"
The hopeful theory was proven wrong the moment Emiya heard the servant speak, quickly glancing at the door. He began slowly making his way towards it until he heard an all too familiar voice call out to him.
"Ah, so it was you that I saw."
Having stopped moving, Emiya reluctantly turned his head and then looked at the other servant, who then made her way towards him.
All the while, Emiya was thinking that he should have left earlier when he had the chance.
Why was fate so cruel at times?
To Be Continued.
The answer should be obvious.
Fate just likes messing with Emiya.
Joking aside though, this is probably something that some fanfic author may have already done before, even so, I've wanted to do write something like this for a while now, so I thought that I should at least get the first chapter out, since I had some time today.
Chapters will be uploaded monthly, so expect four more.
For now, I'll get back to working on "A Trio of Hearts for Emiya," and then I'll upload a chapter for "Indulge in the Emiya Experience".
Till Next Time.
