Hi everyone! Wow—it's been over a year since the last time I worked on this story! But I'm back, and with me, here comes the next chapter of "Optipinkstic!" I hope you like it!
Chapter 9
Rose, Juleka, Luka, and Ivan stood outside the TVi Studio, the latter three's instruments set up before them, ready to be played. Some music book stands were propped up in front of each member of the band, and on each stand was a piece of paper that had lyrics and a particular tune written on it by Rose.
"Alright," announced Rose, "is everyone ready?"
"Yup," said Ivan, with the Couffaine twins nodding in agreement.
"Okay," the band's lead singer told them. Then, looking up at the pink sky, she hollered, "Evening Optipinkstic, our name is Kitty Section! One, two, three!" Then the band began playing their instruments, while Rose sang, "Pink, and boys, and parties and shoes! All fun topics to chase away the blues!"
As the song began, Sabrina and the present Star Darlings watched from behind the doors leading into the studio. They then headed into the elevator and used it to get to the building's top floor, and then the staircase there to get to the roof. Once there, the Star Darlings put their backpacks down, unzipped them, took out their respective shooting stars, zipped up their backpacks again, and put them back on. Next, they each unfolded and climbed into their shooting stars, with Scarlet carrying Marinette, Adora carrying Adrien, and Sage leading Sabrina forward. They then took off into the sky and zipped out of Earth's atmosphere and through outer space.
As they flew toward Starland, which had turned pink as well, Sabrina held Sage's hand and screamed with excitement. It had been a while since her last shooting star ride, and she'd forgotten how exhilarating the experience was. It was like a roller coaster ride, only it went down a different path. It was a truly amazing and wonderful experience, and she couldn't wait to do it again when the time would come for her to return to Earth. Although at the same time, she was dreading the moment when that time would come. Because when it would come, her memories would be erased forever. She would never remember the Star Darlings or her friendship with them ever again, and the bond she'd formed with Libby would be half-gone…
No—now wasn't the time to think about the future. Now was the time to think about saving all of Starland and Earth from the villains, and de-akumatizing Libby.
Eventually the shooting stars arrived at the formerly-not-pink Wishworld Surveillance Deck, where the girls jumped out and onto the floor of the deck's highest level. Then the shooting stars fizzled out, and with Sage leading the way, they headed to the ground level of the structure.
"Okay," Sage said, "now we just have to find Lady Stella and the other Star Darlings, and then Optipinkstic, Queen Bee, Vivica, and Rancora." She then took out her Star Zap and said, "Take me to Lady Stella."
The words "Go to the hedge maze's entrance" appeared on her Star Zap's screen, and without wasting a second, the girls followed the device's instructions and went to the hedge maze. There, they were met by an alarming scene: Lady Stella and all the other Star Darlings except Libby were in battle against Rancora and a giant star-shaped beast that, judging by the way it was protecting Vivica (who was holding the Miracle Box), must have been created by the power of the Miraculous she was wielding: the Peacock Miraculous. Also present was a girl that Sabrina instantly recognized as Chloe/Queen Bee, and a sparkly-all-over girl with bright pink skin, eyes that were pink all over, curly light pink hair that was tied into two large fluffy pigtails, a primrose star around each of her eyes, a primrose dress with a star-shaped skirt and the initials OP printed on the dress's chest area, light pink tights, and primrose shoes that were much more glittery than the rest of her. A girl that, despite her new appearance, was unmistakable. It was Libby, or, as she was now called, Optipinkstic.
Spotting the new arrivals before they had a chance to come up with a plan, Queen Bee narrowed her eyes. "Look, everyone. It's my ex-minion and her three friends! And a fourth friend too."
Lady Stella and the remainder of the non-akumatized Star Darlings turned around and gasped. "Sabrina?" Gemma exclaimed, while her friends and headmistress quickly turned around again so they could resume their battle against Rancora and stop her from taking advantage of the unexpected distraction. "But…I thought you forgot all about us!"
"Well, she didn't," snarled Optipinkstic. "Thanks to that Power Crystal she earned, and my help, she was the only Wishling that didn't have her memories erased." She then held up a pink Star Zap and threateningly pointed it at the unconscious Wishlings, Sage, Scarlet, Astra, and Adora, before barking, "Now stay away from my only friend, traitors!"
"I'm not your only friend," said Sabrina. "The Star Darlings told me! They're sorry for what they did. You just have to give them one more chance!"
"I can't just give them one more chance, Sabrina! They already gave me all I needed to know that they never really liked me: a selfish speech and a fake apology! Now, they'll pay dearly for everything they did…and you'll be my best friend forever!" She then let out a wicked laugh that was very unlike her original laugh, and hearing it, Sabrina's fear only grew. Her best friend had been completely brainwashed by Rancora and the stolen Butterfly Miraculous…
"Libby, you have to believe us!" Sage said. "We really are sorry for what we did. Please, snap out of it and listen!"
"I'm not going to 'snap out of it!'" Optipinkstic shouted. A neon pink beam was then fired out of her Star Zap, and it almost hit Sage, but she used her wish energy manipulation skills to deflect the beam, causing it to disintegrate. Scarlet and Adora, meanwhile, gently set Marinette and Adrien onto the ground before stepping in front of them, ready to do what was necessary to save their home planet and Sabrina's.
Queen Bee gave Optipinkstic a cruel smirk. "Let me handle this. Venom!" She then leapt forward, but as she flew through the air, Scarlet caught her using her own wish energy manipulation talents and made her float toward the giant star-shaped beast, which was then accidentally touched by Queen Bee's glowing spinning top. Instantly the beast was paralyzed, causing Vivica to yell, "Noooo! My sentimonster!"
"Sentimonster?" Tessa asked, as she, Leona, Vega, and Cassie stopped battling the beast and, along with Adora, started helping Lady Stella, Gemma, Clover, and Piper battle Rancora. "Is that the kind of species that was?"
"That peacock-like creature that came with this brooch," Vivica pointed to the Peacock Miraculous as she said this, "told me that whatever I use it to create is called a sentimonster. Yes. And I'll create another one right now! One that you won't even be able to see!"
"I don't think so," said Scarlet. She used wish energy manipulation to lift Vivica very high into the air, and while Astra did the same to Queen Bee, Sage concentrated very hard and used her wish energy manipulation skills to remove the Peacock Miraculous from Vivica's chest before the girl had a chance to remove a feather from the blue feathery fan she was holding. Instantly the Peacock Miraculous was brought into Sage's waiting hand, while Vivica transformed from a peacock-themed version of herself to, well…herself, and her fan vanished in the transformation. Though before she had a chance to react to this, a sudden wave of exhaustion came over her, and the Miracle Box slipped out of her hands and onto the ground. Optipinkstic rushed over and scooped it up, but Sabrina was just as quick as she was and managed to grab the box at the same time as she did.
"Oh," Optipinkstic said, not having expected that to happen. She stared at her BFF, not sure what to do. Should she try to get her to let go of the box, or let her have it?
Rancora glanced at the scene and snarled, "Don't let her have the box, Optipinkstic! Give it to me!"
"Don't listen to her, Libby!" Sabrina said. "Let me hold the box. It belongs to the Guardian that Cat Noir mentioned. Not you, or me, or anyone else."
"She's the one you shouldn't be listening to!" Rancora yelled, as Queen Bee's Miraculous was yanked off her head by Sage's wish energy manipulation skills and brought into the lavender Starling's free hand. In an instant, Chloe detransformed, much to her chagrin. "You're ridiculous!" she yelled. "Utterly ridiculous!"
Sabrina looked Optipinkstic in the eyes and bravely asked, "Is this really what you want, Libby? To help Rancora, someone who tried to hurt you and all of Starland?"
"Of course it is," affirmed Optipinkstic. "Thanks to her, now we can live in a world where nobody can stop me or anyone from talking about pink, or boys, or shoes, or parties!"
"Libby, Rancora's just using your frustration with the Star Darlings to get what she wants. Do you really want to help someone like that?"
Optipinkstic looked away from her best friend and towards Rancora, who was still using a large amount of negative energy to battle Lady Stella and most of the Star Darlings. She sighed, and then said, "I'm sorry, Sabrina. But this is the only way to get through to the Star Darlings. I love chattering away about pink and boys and parties, and they have to understand that! Now, could you please let go of the box?"
Sabrina sighed. Optipinkstic was too under the influence of the akuma to listen to her. She would have to come up with another plan to get through to her. Luckily, based on the way she'd seen her brandish her Star Zap earlier, she knew that that object had to be where the akuma was located. Which meant she had to find a way to destroy Optipinkstic's Star Zap. But how could she do that without proving that she was trying to help the Star Darlings de-akumatize their former teammate? Hmm…
"Well?" Optipinkstic asked, growing impatient. "Could you let go of the box? Now?"
"Okay," Sabrina told her, "I'll let go of the box, but on one condition. If I let go of the box, you have to promise me that you'll take me and it to the top level of the Wishworld Surveillance Deck. Then we can each take one Miraculous and transform with them, and officially call ourselves the princesses of Starland!"
"What?!" Sage exclaimed. What was Sabrina doing? The other Star Darlings looked her way in starprise as well, but Lady Stella seemed to trust that the Wishling had a plan to de-akumatize Libby and stayed focused on battling Rancora.
"Princesses of Starland?" Optipinkstic inquired, a little uncertain.
"Yeah!" Sabrina said. "I can't say queen because Rancora will take that title, but what do you think? Wanna be a princess of this planet with me?"
"You can't be princesses of this planet!" Vivica yelled, her exhaustion fading away. "I was promised that title!"
"No, I'm the one who deserves that title!" shouted Chloe.
Optipinkstic thought it over, and then decided, "You know what? Why don't all four of us be princesses of Starland?"
"All four of us?!" Chloe exclaimed. "Are my ears failing me? Did I really just hear you say all four of us are getting a prestigious only-for-one title?"
"Of course you did," said Optipinkstic. "Now come on. Let's get to our tower." And with that, she transformed into a shooting star (in the process causing Sabrina to become the sole holder of the Miracle Box), swept Sabrina, Vivica, and Chloe into her new form, collected the two Miraculouses Sage had snatched, and flew up to the top of the Wishworld Surveillance Deck. There, she set everyone down before transforming back into her akumatized form, and then taking back the Miracle Box. Next, while Vivica and Chloe took back their Miraculouses, Optipinkstic opened the Miracle Box and showed Sabrina the Miraculouses that were inside of it, asking, "Which one would you like?"
In a heartbeat, Sabrina chose the Black Cat Miraculous. She placed it on her ring finger, and within seconds, Plagg manifested before her. He instantly groaned, and said, "Got any Camembert? I'm starving after that creepy lady used my Miraculous."
"Don't worry," said Optipinkstic. She then went to the edge of the deck, focused hard, and levitated some Camembert cheese out of Adrien's pocket, up to the deck, and into her hand. She then ripped the cheese into three pieces and gave the biggest piece to Sabrina, who fed it to Plagg before chanting, "Plagg, claws out!"
While Sabrina transformed into Mosaicat for the second time, Vivica and Chloe used the remaining pieces of Camembert to feed their disgusted but very hungry kwamis, before chanting their own transformation phrases and transforming into their Miraculous-themed forms. After this, Mosaicat asked Vivica, "So, what's your name now?"
"How about Princess Negafeather?" Vivica said.
Queen Bee burst out laughing. "Princess Negafeather? That's the most ridiculous name I've ever heard! Utterly ridiculous!"
Vivica, or rather Princess Negafeather, glared at her. "You really think that? Well I'll have you know that the only utterly ridiculous one here is you!"
Glaring at her, Queen Bee ordered, "You take that back!"
"No," said Princess Negafeather, "I refuse to take it back!"
While the two of them continued arguing, Mosaicat turned away from Optipinkstic and whispered, "Cataclysm."
"Huh?" Optipinkstic said. "What did you say?"
Black energy was now surrounding the hand with Mosaicat's ring on it. Hiding that hand behind her back, she turned to face Optipinkstic and slowly stepped toward her. "I said just one word," she said, bravely smiling at her. She stopped right in front of her best friend and asked, "Do you want to hear what that word was?"
The akumatized Starling started to nod, but just before she could finish, or realize what was happening, Mosaicat used her destructively-energized hand to touch her Star Zap, causing it to disintegrate, which caused the flutterfocus akuma to flutter out of it. Immediately Optipinkstic was engulfed in black and purple smoke, and when it cleared away, Libby was standing there, as herself but in a daze.
Hearing the sound of the smoke coming and going, Queen Bee and Princess Negafeather stopped arguing and turned around. When they saw Libby had been freed from Rancora's influence, both of them glared at Mosaicat. "Hey! You tricked us!" Queen Bee shouted.
Mosaicat smiled playfully. "Sorry, I just really love doing the right thing. And in this case, the right thing to do was saying 'Cataclysm' and de-akumatizing her."
Before either of the wicked girls could reply to her comment, Libby slowly recovered from her daze. "What…what happened?" She gasped. "Sabrina? Why…how…?"
"You were akumatized," said Mosaicat. "But you're okay now. Unfortunately, the box containing all the Miraculouses, which is the box you're holding, was stolen by Rancora, and now Vivica and Chloe are trying to help her—"
"VENOM!" Queen Bee yelled, rushing toward the two girls, spinning top in hand. Mosaicat turned to face her, and before she could use her top to touch her, the cat-themed girl grabbed Libby and leapt off the edge of the Wishworld Surveillance Deck with her and the Miracle Box. She managed to land on the ground on her feet, and with Libby sitting in her arms and holding the Miracle Box, Mosaicat ran back to the hedge maze, where Lady Stella was supervising the unconscious Marinette and Adrien while Sage, Leona, Vega, Scarlet, Piper, Astra, Adora, Tessa, Gemma, and Clover were using their Power Crystals to battle Rancora. Cassie, on the other hand, was nowhere to be seen, and at first Mosaicat and Libby thought it was because she wasn't there. But when the Butterfly Miraculous suddenly floated off of Rancora's chest—stripping her of all the enhanced power she'd gained from the brooch's magic—and towards Mosaicat, the truth became clear to the duo. Cassie was there too; she was just using the power of invisibility to get the Butterfly Miraculous away from its current user.
While the other Star Darlings kept Rancora distracted, Cassie turned visible and gave the Butterfly Miraculous to Libby, who then put it in its place in the Miracle Box at Mosaicat's request. After that, Cassie took out her Power Crystal and went to join her teammates, while Mosaicat gently set Libby down onto the ground and asked, "So…how do you want to help stop the villains?"
Libby smiled. "I do kind of miss being Starbug…"
Mosaicat giggled, reached into the Miracle Box, and pulled out the Ladybug Miraculous. She then gave the two earrings to Libby, who put them on after giving the Miracle Box to Mosaicat. Tikki soon appeared before them, but she was very hungry, so Libby used another slice of Camembert that she found in Adrien's pants pocket to feed her. After the kwami was finished eating, Libby declared, "Tikki, spots on!"
By the time Queen Bee and Princess Negafeather arrived on the scene, Starbug had finished transforming. "Alright Mosaicat," she said, "let's take them on and get those Miraculouses back!"
Mosaicat nodded, and held her staff out in front of her. Queen Bee raced forward, her top still in hand, ready to paralyze the girl that had once been her minion. While Starbug rushed over to keep Princess Negafeather occupied, Mosaicat simply stood there, waiting for her ex-BFF to get near her. Then, one half-second before the top could touch her, Mosaicat leapt to the right, and unable to stop herself in time, Queen Bee continued forward, and when she tried to stop herself, she only succeeded in slamming into Rancora and paralyzing her instead. As a result, she stopped sending blasts of negative energy toward the other Star Darlings, allowing them to give it all they had, causing the Dark Starling's necklace to shatter into pieces and the Dark Starling herself to literally crumble into dust.
"No no, no!" Queen Bee exclaimed the moment she realized what'd happened. Hearing her say that, Princess Negafeather took a starsec to see what'd happened—and that was all the time Starbug needed to tie her up with her yoyo.
"Hey!" the mean-spirited Starling then said. She strained with all her might, determined to free herself, but Starbug held on tight and refused to let her go. Finally, Princess Negafeather gave up trying to free herself from the yoyo string's grip and allowed Starbug to walk over and take the Peacock Miraculous.
As Vivica returned to normal and underwent another exhaustion spell, Mosaicat's Miraculous beeped, signalling that she only had four minutes left before she'd need to transform back. Seeing the corrupted flutterfocus fluttering into view, Starbug released Vivica and gave the Peacock Miraculous to her best friend, who put it back in the Miracle Box. As she did this, Starbug spun her yoyo around and around, and then used it to successfully capture the akuma.
"Catch you later, little flutterfocus," Starbug said as she released the now-purified creature two starsecs after capturing it. She then threw her hands into the air and shouted, "MIRACULOUS STARBUG!"
Instantly a swarm of glowing ladybugs swirled all around both Starland and Wishworld, undoing all the magical mishaps caused by Optipinkstic. However, this ability of the Ladybug Miraculous couldn't wake Marinette and Adrien. They remained unconscious, even as the swarm disappeared from sight, their job now complete.
Not wanting her own Miraculous to be confiscated next, Queen Bee tried to make a run for it, but Gemma managed to catch her and keep both her and Vivica suspended in the air with her wish energy manipulation skills. As they twisted and turned, trying and failing to free themselves, Mosaicat casually walked over, pulled the Bee Miraculous off of her ex-BFF's head, and put it back in the Miracle Box. "There," she said. "I think that's all of them."
Starbug nodded. "I trust you." She then sighed, her sadness returning.
"What's wrong?" Mosaicat asked her. Then she noticed the same sad energy within the other Star Darlings, and she knew. It was that time. And this time there was no way out of it. It was time to lose her memories of her time with Libby and the other Star Darlings. For real this time.
Lady Stella stepped forward. "Is it true, Sabrina? Did the Power Crystal you earned while you were pretending to be Vega protect you from the Star Darling memory-erasing spell?"
"Yes, it did," admitted Mosaicat. "Libby and I just…we were BFFs. Real BFFs."
Chloe scoffed. "You don't think what we had was a real BFF relationship? Ridiculous. Utterly ridiculous!"
Cassie used her powers to turn down the volume of Chloe's voice and then Vivica's until they were so low, nobody could hear them talking no matter how hard they tried to make their voices be heard. Then, to Mosaicat, she said, "Go on."
Mosaicat sighed. "Before I met all of you, I thought that friendship was all about giving. Then you all taught me that it's really all about balance. That there's supposed to be just as much receiving as giving, on both sides. Now, don't get me wrong. I liked spending time with every single one of you. But Libby…" once she said her name, her eyes filled with tears, "you were, and are, the best best friend I could ever ask for. And I didn't, and I still don't, want to forget about our time together. I don't want to turn back into the lost girl I was before I found out about Starland and everything. I don't want to lose the best best friend I've ever had!" She sniffled, and her Miraculous beeped again. Three minutes left.
"I agree with Sabrina," Libby said, her eyes now filled with tears as well. "She's become my best friend…and now, my only real friend. If you take her away from me, I'll…I'll…" She then began to cry, and Mosaicat gently pulled her into a hug.
"I see," said Lady Stella. "Sabrina, tell me…did you tell anyone on Wishworld about Starland?"
"Of course not!" Mosaicat assured her. "Well, except for my friend Rose, but that was only because Libby was akumatized and Sage, Scarlet, Astra, Adora, and I needed her help in order to get here and save her."
"What about these two Wishlings?" Lady Stella asked, pointing at Marinette and Adrien.
"Oh, they found out about Starland because of Vivica," said Mosaicat. "Chloe too."
Lady Stella nodded. Sage then stepped forward and said, "Libby, we really are sorry for what we did to you. I just wish there was a way for us to prove it."
"It's true," Mosaicat told her best friend. "I could see it in their eyes when they told me back on Earth. They meant it. At least, Sage, Adora, Scarlet, and Astra meant it. The others weren't there, so I don't know if they would have meant it or not."
"I really feel sorry," Cassie told them, with all the Star Darlings who had stayed on Starland nodding in agreement.
"Yeah," said Leona. "From now on, even if we don't want to hear about your constant chatter about boys, pink, and parties, we'll tolerate it."
Starbug sighed softly. "Alright…I'll give you all one more chance. Just one. And if you mess up…I'll be friendless."
"Actually, Libby," said Lady Stella, "I've thought it over. And I've decided that, as long as the other Wishlings who know about Starland have their memories erased, Sabrina can keep hers."
Starbug's eyes widened in excitement. "She…she can?"
"Yes," the headmistress told everyone. "She has proven that she can be trusted with classified information, and she has helped save Starland from supervillains twice. That takes a lot of courage, and she deserves to be rewarded for her actions. But Chloe, your friend Rose, these two Wishlings, and anyone else that might have learned about Starland from Vivica…they must have their memories erased."
"Woo-hoo!" Starbug exclaimed. She hugged Mosaicat tightly, and she smiled and hugged her in return. Then Mosaicat's Miraculous beeped again. Two minutes left.
"So, Lady Stella…speaking of those two Wishlings, Marinette and Adrien…could you please heal them from what Rancora did to them?" Mosaicat asked.
"Of course," Lady Stella replied. She walked over and then gently touched Marinette's forehead, and then Adrien's. Within starsecs, the duo opened their eyes and sat up, confused. "Marinette?" Adrien asked, surprised to see his classmate and friend in this new place.
"Adrien?" Marinette asked, just as surprised as he was. They turned toward everyone else that was with them, and everyone could tell that the two Wishlings recognized Chloe, Sage, Scarlet, Astra, Adora, and Vivica and just didn't want to admit it.
"It's me, Sabrina," said Mosaicat. "I know both of your secret identities too."
"Both of our…" Marinette asked in surprise. She turned to Adrien, but whatever thought had just popped into her mind, she instantly shook it off.
"No, it's true," said Adrien. "I'm…I'm Cat Noir."
Marinette's eyes widened, and she blushed. "You're…you're Cat Noir? Oh no, we're not supposed to know our secret identities! And neither are any of you! Oh, this is the biggest disaster ever…!"
"Calm down," grunted Scarlet. "It's not like the Miraculouses are in the wrong hands like they were a second ago."
"Besides, you'll probably just forget about your secret identities when we erase your memories of us and this planet to help preserve its secret," said Vega.
"Oh, please erase our memories," begged Marinette. "We're not supposed to have them!"
While Adrien looked hurt to hear her say that, Clover stared at her in starprise. "I've never seen or heard of a Wishling so desperate to forget about something. Then again, it's not like any of the Wishlings we've erased the memories of knew that they were going to have their memories erased..."
"Um, what's a Wishling exactly?" Marinette inquired.
"It's what these girls call earthlings," replied Mosaicat.
"Oh," said Marinette. She stood up and asked, "So…how do we get back to Earth?"
"We'll bring you there in shooting stars," answered Piper.
"I'll take Vivica back to our school, deal with her memories of what happened tonight, and contact the Star Wranglers," said Lady Stella. "The rest of you, once the Star Wranglers get to you, bring Chloe, Sabrina, Marinette, and Adrien back to Wishworld."
So with that, the Star Darlings, with Gemma keeping Chloe suspended in midair but releasing Vivica, returned to the Wishworld Surveillance Deck while Lady Stella brought Vivica back to Starling Academy. Once those who went to the deck were at its top level, Mosaicat gave the Miracle Box, her Miraculous, and Libby's to Marinette—who put the latter two into the former—while they waited until the Star Wranglers came up to join them, which took ten starmins, and then watched as the strong Starlings lassoed one shooting star after another for them. Soon, with Sage and Marinette in one shooting star, a detransformed Libby and Sabrina in another, Vega and Chloe in another, and Leona and Adrien in yet another, several members of the group travelled back to Wishworld. But while Marinette was taken to the Guardian of the Miracle Box and Adrien were taken to the Louvre, Chloe was taken to the Le Grand Paris Hotel, and Libby brought Sabrina to the latter's home, where they landed in a tangled heap on Sabrina's bed.
As soon as they landed, the two girls burst out laughing for a few seconds before receiving a holo-text from Sage: Going to erase the memories now. The Miraculouses are back with the Guardian too. Is Sabrina ready to use her Power Crystal?
"Get out your Power Crystal," said Libby.
Sabrina nodded, reached for her bedside table drawer, opened it, and pulled out her Power Crystal. Once she had it, she turned a blindingly bright shade of purple as she pressed it against her chest and was sent levitating very high into the air—so high, she was just an inch away from touching the ceiling. She felt a strong, almost overwhelming surge of strength and power within her as all this happened, exactly like she had the last time she'd used her Power Crystal.
Libby typed back, She's ready. Go ahead.
As her best friend touched the send button, Sabrina concentrated on her Star Darling memories, which, in two seconds, felt like they were fighting to stay inside of her. Without even thinking, once again, she screamed, "NEBULA…MEMORITE!" Then she focused on her Star Darling memories with all her might; Vega trusting her with her life, Astra's advice about balance, the true fun that Sage, Cassie, Piper, Leona, Scarlet, Gemma, Tessa, Adora, and Clover helped her have, today's big adventure, and most of all, the true BFF relationship she and Libby had developed and all the time they'd spent together.
Two minutes went by, and Sabrina kept at it. With all her might, she fought to keep her memories inside of her, not wanting to forget them. She focused on her Star Darling memories like everyone's lives depended on it, until finally, she saw a blinding flash of white light and fell on her bed, landing on her knees and breathing heavily.
"Are you okay?" Libby asked her.
"Yeah," gasped Sabrina. "It worked. I still remember you and everything and everyone else."
"Yes!" cheered Libby. She tackled Sabrina down and led her into a hug. They were so happy that they almost missed Sage's next holo-message coming in, which read: Marinette doesn't remember us anymore.
Neither does Adrien, Leona typed.
Or Chloe, typed Vega.
Libby sent them all a holo-message that read, Sabrina still remembers us. She's okay too.
All three of those of the other Star Darlings that were on Wishworld replied with glowfur smiley face emojis, and Sabrina and Libby both chuckled. They then smiled at each other, the realization of what the future held fully sinking in. Sabrina still had her Star Darling memories, and it was no longer a secret between her and Libby. Lady Stella and the other Star Darlings now knew too, which meant they could come and visit her too. Sabrina would no longer have to worry about not seeing them again, because now she would get to see them again. They would be able to stay friends; forever and ever.
