A/N – Well that was fun and I had fun writing it. I have had some feedback about my couple development and I will continue as they are the future. So, will the girls get their camels? Who knows. Each of the kids have direction and I will make sure I cover that effectively but I can't lie, there may be some deterrents and challenges along the way. Although there is a lot of everyday stuff that happens at school and work, you can be assured that it will anything but routine. I will sprinkle a little work stuff in especially with the Special Kids Rodeo on the horizon. The development of the characters is very important to this story and anything down the road. And an old friend may be coming home. I won't forget about Amy and Ty for sure as their relationship will continue to grow and adjust to the everchanging lives of their children. Let's continue on and get back to the road to be taken to the end of the school year. Mature Content – Enjoy!

To say the next morning was sluggish for the Bordens would be an understatement. Amy and Ty got up early as the kids would be leaving in shifts and they wanted to make sure they all had a good breakfast, lunches made for those who needed it and school stuff ready. The first shift weas the 4 college students who were leaving early to get back to the apartment and then back to class. Lyndy was the first to drag herself downstairs and lunged for the coffee. She smiled and hugged her parents, "Good morning, I am so tired and have so much to do. Wyatt and I have a big week of classes, I have a couple of horses to look at, he is going to assist on some surgeries with Steven and the big dance recital for our kids is Saturday." Amy smiled, "Welcome back to reality." Next down were the twins and fought their way to the coffee pot as well. After hugs they sat down as Ty filled their plates with pancakes and sausage with OJ or milk to drink. Finally Wyatt came down as Addie laughed, "Man, you look like heck stud, are you going to be able to drive us to school." He smirked, "Don't worry, I will cowboy up." The three girls rolled their eyes and Ty patted his back. He smiled and quipped, "What, no bikinis for school this week?" Ty's smile turned to a stern look, "I think not." Annie laughed, "You know dad, we are adults and can make our own decisions." Amy laughed and kissed his cheek, "Back at you sweetie pie." This brought even more groans to the group. They finished just as a zombie like Maddie came down as her bus was the first to come. After sleepy hugs and good mornings the college group headed out and Maddie dug into her breakfast chatting about her week. "I have a call set up with Lou and the Banff Resort couple about a sponsorship on Wednesday. I am really excited and think they are going to be a big help." Amy smiled and kissed her head, "That is awesome kiddo, we are so proud of you." She smiled as they were all startled when a fired up JT came screaming down the steps, "Good morning everyone, I am so excited to be going back to school." Maddie laughed, "Well there is always one in the bunch as he dug into his breakfast and a tall glass of milk. Maddie giggled, "Maybe you are excited to see Shawna, you too seemed to spend a lot of time together last week." He blushed, "Trent and Shawna are my friends." She let up as her bus pulled up so after quick hugs she bolted out the door. JT sat and talked to his parents as they sat and joined him for their breakfast. He got quiet, so Amy spoke softly, "JT are you Ok?" He hesitated, "I'm good, I spoke to grandma and GG last night. They said hello to everyone and were happy we had such a good week of fun." Ty and Amy smiled at their amazing little boy and how composed he was. Amy asked, "Is that it?" He blushed again, "Grandma Marion said she really liked Shawna and knew I did to. GG Lyndy said I should always treat her nicely and be there for her. She also said she is a very special young girl." He hesitated again, "Mom, dad, I kind of like her. She is fun, nice and is always there for Trent and me. And she is kind of beautiful." Amy smiled at her young son, "Well we love her too and it must feel nice to have such a great friend. But GG I right, you should always be there for her and treat her with respect and kindness." He smiled as the bus pulled up and after quick hug he ran out to sit in the seat that Trent and Shawna always saved for him. Amy and Ty quietly cleaned up and went to have a quiet cup of coffee on the porch before they went to start their day. They each had catch up meeting with their teams at 9:00 so they were enjoying their last half hour of silence. Amy leaned into his shoulder and whispered, "I feel like the luckiest woman in the world. We have great kids, great jobs and a wonderful life. And I guess you aren't too bad yourself." They sat quietly until a bellow came from across from the yard. Caleb yelled, "Are you two going to get back to work or are you still on vacation." They laughed and kissed each other to rub it in as Georgie yelled gross from the barn door. They laughed, took their cups in, grabbed a mug to go along with their stuff and headed over to get back to it. Ty laughed, "Well I guess we both need to cowboy up." They kissed again and went on their way, back to their reality.

Wyatt and the three college Borden girls jumped right back into it. They all had busy weeks with classes after returning from Spring Break. All of them were preparing for the last two months of school and all of the work around that. Annie and Addie were working towards finishing their first year and had each decided the majors they wanted to pursue. Addie was confident that the degree in Mechanical Engineering was what drove her and her parents were elated. Although skilled with horses they both new that her path would be different and if she agreed, her skills could easily be incorporated in the family business. Desi was also focused on an advanced Accounting degree from the satellite Business Campus and was excelling as well. Annie had decided to mirror Lyndy's path in the acclaimed Equine program and continue on with honing her horse skills. But her main focus was prepping for the Olympics. Georgie and Amy had been training with her 3-4 times a week and she had a couple of qualifiers a couple of weekends coming up. The plans were already in place for the trip to the Olympics during the summer. They had a fairly large group going but it was only a long weekend event so the time worked for the family. Her coach at the University was also spending time with her and she was feeling good about her preparation. Jeremy had decided on Business degree but was more focused on his work at the ranch. Caleb and Rusty had taken him under their wing as he was learning the ins and outs of being a ranch hand. His rodeo skills were also improving and he was enjoying the thrill, although at times it scared Annie. Lyndy was ready to graduate with a degree in Equine Management and a minor in business. She was confident about her path and Wyatt, along with her parents supported it 100%. She also planned to keep on teaching dance on the weekends as her love for it never dwindled, and the bonus was Wyatt thought she looked hot in her dance costumes. Wyatt continued to be at the head of the class when it came to the DVM program. His work for the Equine Center and the other clinics was invaluable and definitely gave him an advantage. It was the reason the professors agreed to his special circumstances and advancing his DVM certification. Scott, Ty and the other vets were amazed at his abilities and most of all his confidence and approach to handling injured and scared animals. They were so excited about graduation, getting married and their future. Along with Haley, Rusty, Katie and Clay they were beginning to develop a formidable and long lasting relationship that many felt would be a key component of the future of the company and family. Maddie couldn't believe that she was almost halfway through high school and with a boy she cared for a lot. They would use the "L" word but were still new to it. At school, Maddie was a proven leader, always involved and always stepping up. She continued her advocacy of kids with special needs and teachers always went to her to befriend a new student who was struggling adapting along with Gwen and Sylvia. The three amigos, as they were called, were inseparable and always there to help their fellow classmates. And what really warmed her heart was how engaged and supporting Ricky was with her friends and the other kids they had been hanging with. Maddie was also a straight A student and was still open on the path she wanted to take in life. Her parents supported her and told her that she needed to look at her options and move on them. JT was really excited about finishing out the 5th grade and moving on to middle school. Even though younger than every one of his classmates he still excelled in school and was a leader amongst his group of friends. The school team also continued to be impressed with his supportive relationship with Trent and of course Shawna. His only worry was that next year he would not be in the same school as her but he knew they would see each other a lot. His meetings with the team from the University had moved to once every six months or as needed. They knew he had a handle on it and the number of occurrences had lessoned a bit. Several of the team felt that would be the case bit they still marveled at the detail of the visits and how relevant they were to what was happening in his life currently. With Amy and Ty's permission the study results were share with no name attached and several organizations around the world wanted to meet this amazing person. The Borden kids were settling in and determined to finish the year strongly with vigor, anticipation and excitement.

Amy looked back for one last smile to Ty as she walked into the main round pen. They whole team was waiting for her and hugs abounded. Georgie, Katie, Haley, Ellory and several others from the team and Rehoming Center were there. Haley had Rusty and some of the other ranch hands set up some chairs. Amy laughed, "I love our meeting room." Katie added, "I think we should have all of our meetings here." They got underway as everyone gave Amy updates on the current horses on site and the team decided next steps. There were a couple of horses that needed Amy but the rest were distributed by need to the appropriate trainer. Amy smiled, "Wow no let up here, we are full up I see and you guys have done a great job. I can't tell you how much Ty and I appreciate it. The trip was amazing, we saw whales jumping out of the water and rode camels, which was really weird." Ellory laughed, "You rode camels? How cool is that." They all shook their heads in agreement as Amy added, "Yea, the girls are trying to get us to us to build a heated barn and get a few of them." Katie smiled, "That would be awesome, are you going to do it?" Amy smirked, "Well we are kind of busy and we just don't know yet." Georgie laughed and looked at the others, "Well that makes it a done deal." Amy change the tune and asked Ellory and her team for an update for the Rehoming Center. She spoke up, "Well first off the rescued horses area all doing well. We already have the one with the minor surgery and based on what Steven has said we will get the other one in a few weeks. But there is a bigger issue, we have taken on a dozen horses that came from an abandoned farm and I just found out we have six more coming in next week." They all sat in amazement and thinking of how the extra horses would be cared for. Ellory continued, "We definitely are maxed out, in fact Caleb and the couple of guys set up some temporary pens to keep them in. With the warmer weather, we can keep them outside more." Amy smiled and asked, "How is the list of new owners and how many are ready to go." Ellory looked over her I-Pad and one of the other newer staff members spoke up, "Mrs. Borden, I am Jessica and handle request. We have more than enough and have checked out most of the ones that are new, not a repeat or referral. We have specific expectations and just want to make sure they go to a good home." Some of the others laughed knowing that Jessica was new. Haley spoke up, "Jessica, Amy kind is kind of the person who started all of this. She has been rehoming horses for a really long time." Amy blushed, "Great, I am not that old and Jessica don't listen to them. I really appreciate your focus and it is very important to find the best home for these amazing horses. So Ellory, what do you need from us." She smiled, "Well I have already gotten a lot of help so now that the Borden girls are back I expect they will step up, along with all their hunky boyfriends." Everyone laughed as she continued, "Like Jessaca said, we have about 10 ready to go and once we move them on the pressure should subside." Everyone smiled, but Ellory wasn't done. "There is one more thing that is kind of exciting and scary too." Georgie jumped in, "Are you finally marrying that man of yours?" She smiled, "Not yet, but soon. I was contacted by the Canadian Equine Abuse Foundation. They were contacted by the association in the US and they want to visit and do a documentary on our facility. It seems we aren't unique but considered to be the benchmark operation. The hope is to use it for fundraising and there is a possibility it will be shown on several networks. Even Netflix is talking to them." Everyone sat in astonishment as Amy spoke proudly, "Well that is awesome and I hate to say it we will probably have even more business." Lou walked in on the conversation and said hello, "Well I agree but to be honest the center has become a profit center as the people that we do charge fees pay it and our donations have increased." Everyone sat and Jessica spoke up, "Well I know I am knew and nice to meet you Lou, but why can't we open other centers in other parts of Canada. Form what I have seen this idea has a lot of support. I am originally from Saskatoon and would love to move back home if you wanted to put one there." Another team member spoke and said she was from Toronto. Lou thought for a second, "Well we have already had an interested investor who wanted to open a European Marion Fleming Equine Center so this may be an option too. Let's talk at the next Board meeting. Well I got to run and sit with those crazy vets for a while." She left and Jessaca asked timidly, "Who was that?" Everyone laughed again as Ellory told her it was Lou Cardinal, married to Dr. Scott, was Amy's sister, is one of the family owners and is the Chairman of the Board. Jessice blushed, "Oh my god, I have a lot to learn." They spent a little more time reviewing assignments, setting a plan for the Equine Center and talking a bit more about their family trip to Cabo as everyone was jealous. Amy laughed, "Ellory, I will text my wonderful daughters and send them your way along with their men. I expect they will do whatever my daughters ask." They finished up as Georgie proclaimed, "Let's get to it."

They vets on site gathered in the main examination room at the Equine center and Clay set up a screen so they could Zoom in Dr. Ellie, Dr. Mandy and some for the techs along with a few college students from all locations. Ty opened and thanked everyone for carrying on while they were away. Ellie laughed, "Rumor has it that we will be building a heated barn and bringing in a couple of camels to the ranch?" Ty scoffed, "Well we will see about that. Right now Amy and I are not in favor, but you know my wife, she has a weakness for animals." Everyone laughed as Scott joked, "First Llamas now camels, what's next, giraffes, zebras, you Bordens are nuts." They settled and each vet at the Equine Center gave updates on the current status of the two rescues who were injured more severely, recent intake exams and other surgeries done during the week. Ty had a lot of questions, especially about the horse that was most severe from the rescue. Cass, spoke up, "Well the sleeve is doing its job, in fact, Steven had him bearing some weight on it and he did very well." Steven added, "In fact we had to temper him as he wanted to take off and go for a gallop. We kept him in the harness and let him walk lightly and everything seem good. We x-rayed after and the bone and sleeve looked stable." Cass continued, "The other horse was released to the Rehoming Center but we are making sure they stay close to him. He is good and we have a list of people who want him as well as the one still here. Seems these horses are celebrities." Scott interrupted, "We need to talk to Ellory and Amy and make sure that we are very selective of the new owners for these two. They will need follow up care, especially the one still here. I think a condition of the rehoming will be regular trips back here or home visits for a while." One of the techs that helps out at the Rehoming Center made a note to talk to them. Several of the lead techs talked about the other horses that had come through to be seen by Amy's team and then Cass and Steven went over the surgeries they had completed while Ty was gone. Scott and Ty had been limiting their surgeries to the most difficult and letting the everyday stuff to the other vets and techs. The attention diverted to the two clinics in Hudson. Ellie mentioned that the all animal clinic was busy and in fact there had been an uptick after the rescue happened, "It seems the big rescue brought us some new business but the problem is they wanted Dr. Wyatt and his assistant to see their animals." Ty laughed, "Yeah, we had several people approach us as they recognized Wyatt and Lyndy and even the pilot made a big deal announcing it to the passengers on the flight down. We met a couple who's family owns the Banff Resort and they bought our dinner and came over to visit offering to be a major sponsor of the Special Kids Rodeo. Lou and Maddie are meeting with them this week." Everyone was really excited as the Rodeo was something everyone got involved in. Mandy then talked about the Cattle Clinic and spoke the obvious, "Well foaling season is starting so we have been overwhelmed with calving questions and requests for assistance." She looked over to her lead tech, "Suzie, how many home visits have we made so far?" She laughed, "Well we have done about 15, have 7 more this week and a bunch for the next week. The college kids are getting a lot of calf birthing work for sure. And thanks to Ellie, Cass and Steven for offering up some of their folks as well. It has been a team effort." Everyone smiled as several of the college kids laughed and were excited about the work. Ty leaned over and whispered something into Scott's ear and he shook his head in agreement speaking up, "Well we appreciate the help from all of the techs and college students. We will talk to Lou but we want to make sure you are all rewarded for the extra effort." They all smiled and said thank you. After he glanced at his phone Ty finished things up. "Well seems like we are running smoothly and the schedules have been posted on our scheduling tool. But I have some exciting news. We have been approached by the Canadian Equine Abuse Foundation. Their sister association in the US will be visiting and will be doing a documentary on our rehoming facility. We are considered to be the benchmark operation. The hope is to use it for fundraising and there is a possibility it will be shown on several networks, maybe even Netflix. I expect the rescued horse will be focused on so Steven and Cass be ready." Everyone clapped with excitement and the meeting ended on a great note. Scott smiled and thanked everyone for the time and great effort. "Remember our focus is the animals we help and not matter what that is always the focus." The vet team continued on as the rest got back to work. The went over some items just meant for them, including the potential of hiring another vet on top of Wyatt. They finished just in time as Amy walked into the room, She hugged Ty, "I missed you." Steven gagged, "Good lord!"

Over the next few weeks, routine was the norm as everyone was fully engaged in the business of helping horses and the other animals they cared for. The calving season began to calm a bit, and the techs and college students were pleased with the bonus that they received from the company. Lou was generous and of course got permission from the University to give the students gift cards from the school's commissary. Amy had several challenging horses but handled them well with help as needed. Annie really stepped up her training as Georgie and her coach had taken over all of it. One day Jeremy, Addie and Amy along with several others had a chance to watch her. Addie and Jeremy were on their toes watching intently as she moved through the course smoothly with confidence and poise. Jeremy leaned over to her, "Wow, she looks amazing, I don't think I have ever seen her look better." Amy leaned in, "I was talking to Georgie and she thinks a gold is in her future. She told me that she is even better than her and Theo is definitely ready." She held back tears, "Look at her go." Addie hugged her mom from the side as she felt her sisters focus and determination. "Mom I can feel her, she is having fun and is going to rock it." The group had gotten bigger and when she finished she blushed as the crowd hooted and hollered. Georgie yelled out, "Folks, meet our next Olympic Champion!" Annie dismounted and went to hug Georgie and ran to Jeremy who was beaming with pride. He whispered in her ear, "That was awesome, I love you so much." Katie, who had wandered over laughed, "Ok, Amy and Ty Jr." The session was finished, so everyone went back to work and Jeremy helped Annie untack, brush and cool down Theo. Amy had received an email about the team from the US visiting and the upcoming documentary. The producer and a set up specialist would be visiting in a couple of weeks to look everything over and make sure they had the equipment they would need. Amy replied and reminded them that there could not be any disruption in the animal care they did but the key people they needed to meet with would be available. The producer committed that before they left from the setup trip, a mutual schedule would be created with that in mind. Amy sent a message to Ellory, Lou, Mallory and Ty to make sure they were free at the times they needed to go over the production plans. Mallory would take over the coordination from the company's perspective as it was kind of what she did. Word had gotten out and the entire team was pumped. Caleb asked Ty, "Let me know when they need to talk to me, I am really good on camera." Mallory was standing by and interrupted, "O'Dell I am in charge so you will need to run your request through me, but I may consider it." He frowned and pouted, "Well that's a no then." Back at the University of Calgary, Lyndy and Wyatt were busier than ever. In fact over the last few weeks, except when they collapsed in bed at night they barely saw each other. Between school, dance school and work, Lyndy was always on the go. Wyatt was involved in his class and lab work most of the day and then always tried to help as much as possible back at the Equine Center. It was Friday and Lyndy and Wyatt were back in their room at the Miracle Ranch. It was after 10 as they each had worked up to 9ish and were exhausted. Lyndy laid next to her man running her fingers over his chest as he was close to being asleep. She coaxed him to open his eyes by kissing him behind his ear seductively. He groaned, "Oh that feels nice, but I am so tired, raincheck?" She smiled, not expecting a passionate love making session just to talk. She whispered, "We need to go on a date, like tomorrow night. I am done by 2:00 tomorrow and I think you are two. So, dinner and relaxing. Maybe we can use a cabin at the Dude ranch?" He smiled and rolled over to look into her eyes, "That would be awesome and I am good to put some loving on you tonight." She smiled and made a mental note to text Jenn about a cabin and Mallory to come see her in the morning. She needed her help to set up the cabin for a special night. She focused back to Wyatt and saw he was sound asleep, She rolled over to him and held him tightly, listening to his heartbeat. "Sleep well my love, we will pick up with this tomorrow night." He grunted as she smiled into his chest, "I can't wait to spend the rest of my life with you." In Amy and Ty's room the conversation they were having turned into a comforting love making session and as they recovered Ty smiled, "Ok, now I feel better." She giggled, "I bet you do, I mean two times, you still got it." They laughed as their bodies glistened with perspiration. They rolled into a tight hug whispering I love yous. Amy spoke quietly, The kids are so busy especially Lyndy and Wyatt. In passing I spoke to her and she said they had barely had any time together since we got back. She is trying to set up a date for them tomorrow night" He smiled, "Ok, I see that look, what are you thinking?" Well she is going to ask Jenn for a cabin tomorrow and Mallory to help set up something special. I think we should get dinner catered to them from that Italian Restaurant they love. Then they don't have to actually go out. I am going to text Mallory and Jenn and make sure they set it up. I hope Jenn can get them into the nice cabin with all the extras." Ty smiled, "You are something else horsey girl." She rolled on top of him as their night was not quite over.

It was Saturday morning and all the Bordens were home. Breakfast was fun as they all caught up with each other's lives. After they finished, Amy got Lyndy's attention as the rest of the cleaned up and went to care for their horses. Amy smiled, "Hey did he agree to the date?" She smiled, "Yes, we have barely had time to kiss each other good night lately, we need some time alone. I am going to text Jenn and Mallory now." Amy grabbed her arm and whispered, "Don't worry about it I have already done that. You go and do what you need to do and tell Wyatt to be ready with you around 5ish and pack an overnight bag. "We got you covered," The day for the young couple went slow but they finally found themselves sitting on the porch quietly holding hands with their shared bag at their feet. They looked up with astonishment as a carriage pulled by horses pulled up with Katie and Clay driving. They hopped down as Clay took their bag and Katie escorted them inside. They were very formal calling them Miss Lyndy and Master Wyatt. The family and some others gathered on the porch to see them off as their ride was going to take them to the best dude ranch cabin. Lyndy blushed and looked at her mom mouthing, "I love you." Amy smiled and leaned into Ty. When they arrived, Mallory and Jenn were waiting for them. Jenn walked them into the cabin and Mallory went over their itinerary for the night. The cabin was adorned with flowers, fresh linens and two fluffy white robes with slippers. Wyatt and Lyndy were speechless as Mallory told them dinner would be there around 6pm, reminding them to be decent. She laughed, "After that you are on your own. The fire is lit and the hot tub is up and running. Remember this cabin has a hot tub that is private so you can do whatever you want, hint, hint." Jenn giggled, "Mallory we need to leave these two, we hope you enjoy your evening." After quick hugs they headed out and Lyndy tackled Wyatt onto the bed, kissing him wildly. After several minutes Wyatt gathered himself after the attack and smiled, "Lyndy, dinner will be here soon. Let's get into comfy clothes and have some of these chocolates and champagne." Lyndy frowned and whispered, "Ok, but comfy for me is no clothes but I guess we can wait. Once the food is here, it's naked time. I didn't bring any pajamas at all" There was a knock at the door so they stopped their heavy make out session. Lyndy got up not realizing she only had one of Wyatt's large t-shirts on and her hair was a mess. She opened the door and wide eyed delivery boy stuttered and said, "I have an order for Borden." She smiled and took it and before she could ask, he said it was all paid for. He stood there silently mesmerized by a very beautiful 20ish women looking a bit disheveled with just a t-shirt on that fell just below a line that he wished was higher. He smiled with a red face not wanting to leave the view in front of him, "Is there anything else I can do for you." Wyatt walked from behind her and said, "No, I think we are good, thanks." He noticed that Wyatt was much bigger than him and had a look on that scared him. He quickly said thanks and shut the door behind him. Wyatt looked at her and giggled, "You need to look in the mirror, that guy is going to have dreams about you tonight." She took the t-shirt off and laughed, "Well I could have answered like this, laying the food on the table, taking off her t-shirt and jumping up straddling him. Realizing he would lose this battle he carried her over to the bed as she ripped off his clothes. Her hands immediately went to his manhood and began to caress it which resulted in moans of love. Wyatt joined in and moved his hand between her legs and pleasured her with his fingers. She moved down to bring him pleasure as well moving with her tongue and mouth. Wyatt could barely control himself as his moans joined hers in their mutual ecstasy. Their foreplay turned into full blown love making as the road him for a while and he rolled her over thrusting into her opening repeatedly. Lyndy orgasmed more times that she could count and together they reach their climaxes multiple times. After several hours they realize it was dark and they hadn't eaten yet. They calmed and warmed up the food and as promised, had a nice dinner clothes less. They talk and laughed and when they were done decided to move to the hot tub. It was almost midnight when the decided to get out and resume their night inside. Lyndy was on fire for her fiancé and Wyatt was more than up for the passionate lovemaking. They didn't even know what time they finally collapsed in each other's arms and fell asleep. It was well past 10:00am when they finally woke up still holding each other in a complete state of nakedness. She smiled and whispered, "Now that was my kind of date, but I am starving. Let's get back home and see if we can find some food." Wyatt laughed looking around the cabin, "First we need to clean up a bit, this place looks like there was a fight in it. And we have to find some clothes to wear, a lot of mine are destroyed." She giggled, "Well it was my kind of date, we almost ran out of protection, but I think we need a shower" They kissed, ran to the shower and played one more time. They cleaned up and headed home just in time for lunch.

The next week was as usual busy and one morning while Amy and Ty were checking emails one got the attention of Amy. She smiled, "Wow, I got a note from Ashley, they sold the Florida operation and are moving back here." She frowned, "And she is divorced recently. Her two boys are in college and are staying in Florida at college and Seth Jr. who is 17 is moving with her. It seems that he does not get along with his dad and is happy to move. She is going to set up a practice here and just wants to move back home." Ty smiled, Well it is sad they divorced, but it will be kind of cool to have her back, the three amigos back together again. Oh and I guess four since we need to add Mallory." She giggled in agreement, a little sad but glad that she was moving back home. Ty then looked up, "Well, I have an email too from Max. Seems he is coming up in a couple of days and wants to meet with us, Lou and Scott as well as Jack and Lisa. I wonder what is up?" She smiled, "I don't know but it will be good to see him and I bet the kids will be happy. I'll get the guest room ready." When the girls found out were happy that Max was visiting but JT already knew, He still kept in touch just like he did with Lilly, in fact he told him that she asked him to keep in touch. JT's relationship with Jack and Max was very important to him. As expected the kids were excited and Max was planning to stay with Jack and Lisa as he had missed his old fishing buddy. The weekend came and the family was having a dinner at Heartland to welcome Max. JT was sitting between him and Jack and they were laughing and joking a lot. After dinner, the kids cleaned up and headed to the barn. Max sat with Amy, Ty, Georgie, Steven, Lou, Scott, Jack and Lisa. He smiled and began to speak, "Well, I have already talked to Lou and Lisa, but our family practice in Colorado is growing more than we expected. The kids and now some of the grandkids can barely keep up and I am trying to help where I can. I am concerned that we aren't giving the time needed for you guys, especially since you as well are growing. We talked and think we need to find a locally based lawyer to lead the work here. Having someone local would be the best for you but don't worry, I assured Lou and Lisa that I will still keep my hands in things. You are my family too and it will always be that way." Everyone smiled and understood as Lou spoke up, "We have already begun a search but to be honest, the pickins' are slim here. We may have to look in Calgary." Lisa added, "I have some contacts and have put some feelers out." They sat and chatted some more making sure that Max knew they understood and that he was definitely family. All of a sudden, Amy's eyes went wide as she blurted out, "Ashley." Everyone, except Ty was a little startled as Jack asked, "What about Ashley?" She smiled, "Sorry, actually I got a note from Ashley and they sold the Florida operation and she and her youngest son are moving back to Hudson. Unfortunately, she divorced her husband and her youngest is still in high school. The other two are in college and want to stay in Florida to finish but will join her here. The two in college are into animal care and all three were really involved in the business" Max spoke up, "Well I was very impressed when we worked with her on the Briar Ridge acquisition, she is a very intuitive lawyer and being local would be a bonus. I could see this being in her wheelhouse for sure. It wouldn't be full time for her but definitely and good chunk of work for her, especially with all of the things we have on the horizon. Lisa and Lou, maybe we should reach out." Jack smiled, "Ashley Stanton, who would have thought." Everyone laughed in agreement but Georgie added, "Well I am all for it, she has known the family forever and it would be fun having her back, even though she used to be Amy's arch enemy." They all laughed as Ty added, "And then because you had an amazing coach, you beat her in the Fall Finale." Everyone rolled their eyes as Georgie scoffed, "Good lord Ty, give it a rest." Max was confused and Jack told him he would explain it. Lisa spoke up, "Well Amy let her know about our interest and maybe Max and Lou can fly to Florida to meet with her or see her when she comes up here." Amy smiled, "Well I believe she may be coming up next week to find a place to live so we can see her then." Everyone agreed and were excited about having another extended family member possibly be a part of the team. Everyone headed home except JT who was staying the night so the three amigos do a little fishing in the morning.

Lou sent an email to the Board letting them know what they were hoping to do and to make sure the information remained confidential for now. Ty and Amy spoke with Caleb and Cass one on one and of course they were both on board as that ship had passed long ago. Although not on the Board, Amy also reached out to Soraya and Mallory and planned for the four of them to go out and catch up one of the nights she was here. Ty and Amy called her to let her know their idea and she was more than excited speaking out, "Well, I have been worried about starting over with a new practice and if their works I already have half of that covered. I am so honored to be considered for the job and will get with Lou to arrange when I am there ." Amy could tell she was getting emotional as she continued, "The last few years have been tough, "After mom died and Jesse did what he did, I really thought that I had damaged our friendship. And after the divorce and my decision to sell to Jesse and a few of his friends I had no idea what was next. Actually my sons thought coming home would be the best move and although I can only come with my youngest the older two said they would join me soon." Amy felt her anguish and asked, "Ashley, what happened with Seth?" She hesitated and tool a deep breath. "Well he was never happy coming down here, although he acted like he was. Ever since we moved down to run the business, he became more and more distant and treated the boys badly. I really think he blamed them because although young they were really excited to be here. He hung out with Jesse a lot and began partying with his group, not even coming home some nights. My older son, who was in high school confronted him and Seth hit him several times, breaking his jaw. He also use to hit the others boys and was abusive to me as well. And we found out he was seeing several other women on the side so I kicked him out. He tried to sue me after the divorced but he had nothing to support it and lost. I tried to hold things together but couldn't, so I sold the place to Jesse and his pals, one of which was Seth. Once that happened we made plans to come home and I sent you the email. I never expected that this would be the outcome and I hope we can make it happen." Amy was too shook to talk, so Ty talked, "Well Ash, Max thinks the world of you and even though we had a rough start the family loves you to death. Jack is really excited to have one of his girls home again. Just think, Amy, Soraya, Mallory and Ashley back together again. We are all in trouble." She all sniffled and laughed as Amy finally spoke up, "Well we are so sorry you had to go through all of that. When you come visit the four of us need to get a cabin at the Dude Ranch and hang out, eating pizza and chocolates." Ashley laughed, "It's a date girl, and maybe we can talk about boys too." They ended the call and Amy texted Lou and Lisa to move ahead. Amy leaned into Ty as he saw this had rocked her, "That was so sad, Ashley has had to deal with so much in her life. I hope by coming here she can find some peace." Her eyes glistened as she looked into his green eyes, "Every day I fell so blessed to have you and the kids. My life has been perfect and I look forward to each day when I wake up next to you." She nestled into his side as Lyndy walked up on them alarmed, "Mom are you Ok. I heard about Ashley, is that worrying you?" Amy smiled tearily and as Lyndy sat down, she moved to give her a hug. Lyndy looked over to her dad and he mouthed that he would tell her later. Lyndy held her mother who was sobbing lightly, comforting her the same way she had been always been comforted by her. They sat for a while as the other girls came over as well. Ty left the five women alone and they talked quietly as Amy filled them in on their talk with Ashley. As he looked back her smiled and felt like a lucky man. He headed off to find Wyatt as along with Steven they had a rare weekend surgery to complete.

Ashley flew in a few days later as Max was going to stay until after they met. Lou, Lisa and Max met with her offsite, to control any rumors, and ironed out all of the details. Max asked her to come to Colorado so his daughter, who was handling a lot of the legal responsibility now and him would meet with her. She readily agreed and told them that she had found a place and was moving back in less than a month. Her youngest son would finish the school year, staying with friends and along with the older two boys would all be there for the summer. Lisa laughed, "Well if they are looking for some work we have more than we can handle." Ashley smiled, "I was hoping that was the case, they all love horses and it would be perfect, maybe even the two older ones would transfer to the U of C." When they finished, Lou took her back to the Miracle Ranch to meet up with Amy and Ty. She was going to be staying in their guestroom and then fly to Colorado in a few days with Max. The girl get together was planned for this Friday night. Everyone agreed that using a cabin at the Dude Ranch would be best, kind of like a slumber party. Mallory went all out with dinner, which consisted of pizza, snacks and a lot of chocolates, kind of a slumber party theme. She even planned to sneak in some champagne to celebrate so it was decided they would all be driven there after they took a trail ride together. During the trail ride they laughed and joked about the early days and all of the chaos that was their lives. When they got dropped off they were in their comfy PJ's and slippers already and giggling like teenagers. Ty, Doug and Dillon gave them all hugs and stood outside after they went in. Dillon laughed, "You did see the champagne right, I think they will need to sleep in tomorrow." Ty laughed, "Well you guys know, Amy is not a drinker at all. But the pressure will be there for sure and we will see how that goes." Doug asked, "Mallory has been so hyped up about this, how crazy were these four when they were young?" Ty laughed, "You don't want to know." After they left the girls got settled and the fun began. They ate and talked and had some champagne, even getting Amy to have two small glasses. They talked about the old days and how amazing things were. Mallory laughed, "And now, Ashely is joining in on the fun, that is awesome." They all giggled for the hundredth time and continued to talk. They talked about their lives, kids and of course their husbands. Mallory talked solemnly about what happened and how again Jack, Amy and Ty saved her." More hugs followed. Ashly talked as well about what she had gone through, her mom's death, moving the family, her idiot brother and recent divorce. She laughed, "Well it seems like Heartland is saving me as well. I can't believe I am moving home and being a part of all this." Again hugs and tears followed. Amy and Soraya were quietly smiling as Mallory scoffed, "You two are nuts. What is sit like having the perfect man in your life. I mean I do now but Ash and I have had some challenges." Amy blushed, "A long time ago Ty built me the jumping course and then told me he would do anything for me. I guess it was destiny because he is my best friend and with my kids means the world to me." Ashely giggled, "Well he must be good in the sack with all those kids. And from what I hear, you guys still are PDA like embarrassing." Amy blushed again giving her answer without talking. They took a break to clean up, get some fresh air and get ready for bed. Amy was a little buzzed and walked out to the porch to text Ty. It was a simple text, "I love you Ty Borden." Ty laughed and he returned the same message. A few minutes later, he got a group text from Doug copying Dillon and him. It was a simple comment, "Well I expect your wives just texted you too to tell you they love you. I think a late pickup tomorrow morning is a certainty." They each returned with a thumb up emoji. It seems the night went well and all of them were sure they would hear all about it in the morning. Ty smiled, thinking of Amy and how lucky he was.
