Prologue

CJ, who is in his superhero alter ego, was standing on the rooftop of Clocktower looking over the streets of the night. Things were pretty calm in Gotham after all the events had taken place.

*CJ'S POV*

"Gotham. A city that is always running with endless crime. Running with thugs, rapists, serial killers, thieves, and of course insane bastards who just love to dress like everyday is Halloween and brings forth pure chaos. All kinds of shit jumps off when they are cut loose." said CJ, watching a police car chasing a runaway van.

CJ looked at the full moon with clouds moving around. "I am so very different from the whole Bat Family at first. I do not just stop from knocking the crooks and nutjobs unconscious and either tie them up for the cops to take them away or drop them off at GCPD. No, I kill them. Kill them with zero hesitation. In order for justice to see fulfillment you need to kill people in order to sustain it. Of course, you are wondering. Why am I a killer if I'm a hero?. Or do I align myself with Jason?. Well, why don't I start with part of my origin. The part where I was motivated and inspired. It all started that night in my family's apartment. I was hanging out and eating dinner with my childhood best friend, who I have known since the day we were introduced by our parents who happen to be cops. My childhood best friend is…Barbara. Barbara Gordon."

*CJ's Childhood Flashback*

Sitting down around the coffee table while watching a Looney Tunes marathon, a black male ten year old named CJ and a ten year old Barbara are playing a game of monopoly. The two bestest of friends were having a really fun time together and enjoying each other's company. The two were drinking some lemonade kool-aid that CJ had made since the two are having a sleepover.

"I'm going to beat you, CJ." Barbara grinned when picking up the dice off the board to roll.

CJ chuckled. "In your little dreams, BG."

Barbara threw down the dice and rolled a six. Next, she moved her car piece and landed on her water works property. "Safe."

"Lucky." CJ rolled his turn and moved his hat piece and landed on one of Barbara's properties. "Rats."

"Haha!." Barbara spoke proudly before picking her cup up to drink. "You are going to be broke on this round again."

"I better hope that my dice rolling skills improve tonight." said CJ, counting the monopoly money to give to Barbara.

"Let me go and eat some more pizza rolls, and then I will come back to kicking you in your buttocks." said Barbara, grabbing her plate off the table and going over to the kitchen where the tray of remaining Totina's Pizza Rolls.

The two were having a wonderful time together to the point that nothing can ruin this moment for either of them. That is until the two have heard a few knocks at the door. This made CJ and Barbara look at one another before looking back at the door. The two were known what to do when being either alone or alone together in the city of Gotham. In response, CJ and Barbara quickly went over by the door and pulled out two metal baseball bats from the umbrella rack. Barbara stood behind CJ with her hand tighten around the handle of her bat.

CJ got closer to the door. "Who is it?."

"It is Officer Owen" spoke from the otherside of the door.

"Look at the peephole." Barbara told CJ before he could make the attempt to open the door.

CJ checks the peephole and sees that it is indeed Officer Owen before opening the door. Officer Owen came in while taking his cap off. The man had a saddened facial expression that confused CJ and Barbara.

"Um, Officer Owen?. What is wrong?. Why are you here?." asked Barbara, putting the metal bat back down.

"Yeah, Officer Owen, you look like you just saw someone get killed." said CJ, taking a sip of his kool-aid.

Officer Owen looked at the young boy sadly. "Barbara, your father wants me to take you and CJ to GCPD."

"Why?." CJ had an anxious feeling. "What has happened to my Mom and Dad?."

Officer Owen raised his hand. "I will let Barbara's father relay the information to you. Now, come on, you two let us go."

CJ and Barbara did what was ordered to them as they followed Officer Owen out of the apartment. Once getting into the police car and driving carefully in reaching Gotham City's police department. Barbara holds CJ's hand as she too is anxious about the aftermath of his parents, while CJ looks out the window in the attempt of easing his anxiety by watching things go by. Upon arriving at GCPD safely, Officer Owen pulled into the department's parking garage and parked his car. Officer Owen then guided the two young children inside the department where a few locked up inmates were successfully scaring CJ and Barbara when walking through.

Upon reaching the front desk, Barbara's father, James Gordon or Officer Gordon to the civilians, dropped everything at what he was doing and went to guide CJ away from Barbara and Officer Owen to have a private discussion. The suspense and anxiety is eating Barbara alive.

"Officer Owen?." Barbara looked at the man. "What happened tonight with CJ's parents?."

Officer Owen sighed while removing his cap to brush his hair with his hand. "CJ's parents had stumbled upon a cocaine making operation underground Gotham's bank. His parents were undercover and got busted. The boss of the cocaine operation had shot and murdered them. We have the man in jail as we speak."

Barbara started hyperventilating at hearing that painful news about CJ's parents being murdered on the job. Tears were rolling down her face as she looked at where CJ and her father were. Seeing them inside a room with a long rectangle plastic window. Seeing CJ had tears in his eyes and started crying. But that moment when CJ faced Barbara he snapped. Not mentally snapped, but snapped within his eyes. His eyes are showing her a sudden permanent change within him. Eyes showing that his mind has been made up by motivation and inspiration.

*End of Flashback*

*CJ's POV*

"That moment had forever changed me. Changed me for the better while others say that it changed me the wrong way. I learned that in order for justice and safety of everyone you have to remove the source that keeps threatening it. There is no such thing as rehabilitation for criminals or the criminally insane. What is the point in doing it when they repeat the same process. If I am going to clean and restore Gotham that she is intended to be in which Batman has failed to do for years, then I need an edge. Something that can tackle everything that those bastards throw at me. Something that can make me stand a chance against the Bat Family."

"Something like say…me?."

*Regular POV*

CJ heard the familiar echoed female voice and chuckled. "I can not forget about you, Lola."

CJ listened to his symbiote adaptoid/friend when she mentally talked to him. "True. Without me you will never accomplish what you achieved."

CJ sat down while watching a blimp go by. "Your story is more interesting than mine, Lola. You are literally not from this universe."

"True. My origins started in a lab. A lab that is located in the universe of the BattleRealm." began Lola.

*Lola's Flashback*

Somewhere in the lab of Modock inside its container waiting for the opportunity to break free, Lola, who is an adaptoid symbiote, waited for her moment to escape. For as long as she can remember she has been in a tube being experimented on. And those experiments are extremely painful and traumatizing. The benefactor who ran this whole BattleRealm name is Maestro. The monster that was once Bruce Banner, then got exposed to high amounts of gamma radiation and turned into the Incredible Hulk. And later down the road with certain situations he became the great Maestro.

It was the Maestro who ordered The Collector, who is the runner of the place, to bring forth strong challenging champions for the game that they call The Contest of Champions. From there The Collector had ordered Modock to do just that. From that time, Lola has been infused with all classes of Iso-8's and the skills of all class champions, including combined class champions. With gaining these powers it morphed her appearance into multicolored.

"There is my chance." Lola saw a robot walking around carrying some crates. She used her Ultron tech ability to control the robot. "Yes."

The robot went over to where she is and unlocked her pod. Lola busted out and took hold of the bot as its host. It was easy but the host itself is not compilable with Lola, thus making her weak and low on energy making her remove herself out of her temporal host. Knowing full well that her compilable bond needs to be permanent and all the hosts she encountered throughout the BattleWorld, Lola failed countlessy. She has seen everything unfold in the BattleRealm, including the Spider Verse. But mostly No Way Home. Which that exact very moment have sent her out of the never escaping BattleRealm and the separate multiverses and fall into what she calls it the Arkham/Justice League Universe.

*End of Flashback*

*Regular POV*

"You know the rest." spoke Lola.

"I do but since we have plenty of time and the night is still young, we can burn in telling the tale." said CJ.

"We must have nothing else to do tonight, huh, CJ?." said Lola.

"Nope. Until the signal shows in the sky we just talk memory lane." said CJ.
