Chapter 5

Barbara flew down to where one of the secret weapons houses is located after both tagging the back door of the van and scaring the living shit out of the thug who checked to see who was knocking on the back doors of the van. She followed her tagged target and found them rolling up into an electrified caged garage. She informed Tim that she found one of the houses and will wait for him to meet up so they can take it down together. While waiting for Tim to get here, Barbara took that time to read that police report of CJ's last case from Chicago on her wrist that projects digital files or contacting people like Alfred. And boy, how wild that report is.

"Self entitled justice asshole." Barbara spoke to herself with a sigh. "Still, I hate to admit it but, at least there is one less sick pedophile in the world. So congrats to you, CJ."

Yes, that shared honest police report of CJ and his former police partner's point of view was mind-blowing to Barbara. Just imagining what they have seen based upon the typed report just made her stomach hurt to the point she might just throw up. Reading that report just showed her how sick and disgusting people are in this cold world and not just Gotham City.

"Where are you, Tim?." Barbara asked but not expecting a response.

"I'm right here gorgeous."

Barbara turned to see the Boy Wonder himself popped out of nowhere since that is their signature style of the Bat Family. Tim aka Robin who, casually strolled down with a confident charming smile, approached his friend/ex-girlfriend before crossing his arms.

"Miss me?." Tim asked when looking at Barbara.

Barbara crossed her arms while having that 'Not Interested' facial expression. "Took you long enough. What kept you?."

"Well, I figure that I can take a good stroll and glide throughout our beautiful city." said Tim, being casual.

Barbara rolled her eyes. "You are ridiculous, Tim. We're supposed to be taking this task seriously and not goof around."

"Hey, just because we are crime fighting vigilantes, it does not mean you and I have to be Batman full time. He is not here so…" Tim trailed off.

"It does not mean that we become a bunch of lazyasses. And furthermore, Bruce takes high respect for protecting Gotham and its people. If you have put in that same attitude, you might just get an invitation to join the Justice League." Barbara pointed out when eyeing the secret hidden weapon house.

Tim rolled his eyes while getting closer to the edge to have a look at the targeted building. "In all honesty, Barb, we are already on a team. Secondly, nobody wants to put our noses in the grindstone like Bruce and be way beyond too dedicated. That is the reason why Dick left Gotham. He too did not want to be an all out Batman."

Barbara ignored the last part about Dick. Yeah, Dick is in fact Bruce's number one and true Robin. Before Tim and herself, Dick and Bruce were a fantastic dynamic crime fighting duo until the two started to rift from each other. Barbara remembers that day when Dick had fallen out with Bruce that night at Wayne Tower. Dick accused Bruce of manipulating her into wanting to be a masked vigilante like them, even though she argued that she chose to be one and believed Bruce's goals etc.

"Let's get busy, shall we?." Barbara pulled out her remote hacking device.

After using her detective mode to find the security box is located so she can turn off the electric field so they can enter through the air shaft. Once flying over to that particular area while getting close to the box, Barbara knelt down and started working on fitting the right letters that were the passwords. Of course, her device told her that the level of security is high but it doesn't phase her not one bit, since she just loves a good challenge every now and then. With a few twists and turns in hopes of matching the right letters, Tim leaned up against the wall while having his eyes on their surroundings in case there was any armed man on the rooftops.

"So I got a good discount deal at this classic five star steak restaurant. Wanna go?." asked Tim.

Barbara stopped at what she was doing. Processing in her head of what Tim is trying to say to her. He is indeed asking her out on a nightly romantic date. He really thinks that he has a chance to get back with her.

"I will pass." Barbara resumed her hacking.

"Oh, come on, Batgirl, you don't want to have a night candle light dinner with me?. Think of the fun we will have." Tim argued.

"Robin, you and I are not getting back together. You and I never clicked. Wish I had jumped on my feelings when we started dating for the first time." said Barbara, saying it in all honesty.

This upsetted Tim. Yeah, to be truthful, it is indeed Barbara who has called their relationship off. Saying that she does not feel legit romantic feelings for him and just wanted them to just be only friends. Regardless of him trying to convince her that the only reason why she felt this way is because she was not invested in their relationship from the beginning.

"You can't be a virgin forever, Batgirl." Tim pointed out while trying to keep his calm and cool.

"I won't. I am just saving myself for the right guy when I come across. A loving relationship needs a deep foundation and I for one do not feet that construction material with you. So, can we please drop it and get back to the matter at hand?. Huh?." said Barbara, getting close in finding the password.

Tim did not take it very well at all. With a frown he just will not stand here and brush it off. "You know what, Batgirl?. You can bust this weapons house by yourself."

Barbara turned around with that disbelieving facial expression after hearing this. "Robin…"

"Peace out, picky bitch." Tim pulled out and fired his batclaw and flew away from her before gliding out.

Barbara watched Tim disappear from sight. Sighing in frustration she resumed her hacking and stayed focusing on the task at hand. "I swear he acts like a damn childish little boy sometimes. He never respects my emotional feelings and personal thoughts."

When moving her thumbs around with the exact ideal clock and anticlockwise the password is pulled up on the device which reads, 'Antidisestablishmentarianism'. Once the encrypted password is cracked and hacked the whole electric field went off, thus giving Barbara the opportunity to safely break through the air vent. When putting her device up she approached the metal vent lid and began pulling it with such force until it burst open, before leaning the lid to the side and entering right inside while activating her detective mode. Easing her way through the vents she heard nearby voices from the left and crawled her way through that direction before seeing them through her detective mode.

"I'm telling you, we did see Batgirl. She knocked on our double doors and we hightailed the fuck out of there." spoke a thug.

The guy who was facing the guy while holding onto his machine gun spoke up. "You probably saw Batman. I really don't see me being frightened by the Bat's little sister."

The other thug laughed. "Yeah, that woman is not scary at all."

This heated up Barbara big time while approaching another vent gate. She put her right foot on it before putting pressure on it. The bars of the gate started to bend until its ends have finally busted out as Barbara kicked the vent gate down. Next, she jumped out to find herself in an isolated bricked room. Examining her area she found a breakable wall based upon the explosion image that the detective mode is showing her.

Barbara pulled out her explosive gel and started spraying. "I show you how scary I can be."

After spraying enough she backed back before waiting for any of the thugs to get closer to the wall. Two of them approached the wall while talking about what the Penguin had planned on doing.

"Gotcha." Barbara pressed the button on her explosive gel gun.

Boom!. The wall blew right up and knocked the two down as Barbara jumped right on out of her hiding and went kicking a nearby thug's ass.

"It's her!. Get her!." ordered the guy in charge.

"Come at me!." Barbara challenged as she threw down her smoke pellet.

Blinding their sights she went right to work. Kung Fu-ing the shit out of each thug when laying multiple punches to one guy before throwing him to another guy who had loaded his gun. Then she quickly spotted three thugs making their way in opening one of the weapons cache and quickly threw her triple batarang. It made perfect contact with all three to Barbara's minor ego before feeling herself being grabbed by the only biggest guy from behind. With no hesitation she double elbow punched the goon in such quick utterly fashion.

With one good double hit the goon let go of her before she did a stone cold stunner. Knocking him out cold. Next, she shot her batclaw at a nearby bat and slammed right across a man's head in a total knockout. In just five minutes she knocked out every single of Penguin's goons all except one who had bad mouthed her.

"No, please. Don't!." the thug begged when backing up on the floor.

Barbara approached the man. Grabbed him by the shirt. Pulled him up. And slammed him up against the wall. Then she pulled him closer to her. "Why does Penguin have so many weapons smuggled to Gotham?. Tell me!."

"I…I can not tell you!. It is a secret." said the thug.

Barbara slammed the thug back up at the wall before pulling him back to face her closer. "Our asses are not in damn elementary. I ask again. Why does Penguin have so many weapons smuggled to Gotham?!.".

"He…He is being paid greatly by the Black Eyed cartel. They need the weapons." explained the thug.

"Why?." Barbara asked to get more intel.

"B…Because the cartel has plenty of men with not enough firearms to meet the demands of secure cocaine delivery and smuggling." said the thug.

Barbara wanted to know a bit more. "Where is the location of the Black Eyed cartel's cocaine operations?."

"I do not know. Some say something about a barcode. That is everything I know!." said the thug, peeing his pants.

Barbara smelled the urine in disgust. "Gross. Night-Night, pee boy."

With that said she slammed the man hard up against the wall but not too hard in giving him internal head bleeding and killed him, just knocked him out cold. After throwing the man to the side she then went right over to the right side of her utility belt and opened the pouch to take out a small rounded yellow bat shaped device. She approached the same weapons cache and opened its lid before pressing the top button before dropping it into the crate. Once closing the lid down she went to press her earpiece to contact Afred.

"Afred, inform Batman that Penguin is smuggling the guns for a pay out with the Black Eyed cartel. Can you by any chance find anything about a barcode that relates to the cartel?."

"That will be a challenge, Batgirl. I will inform Batman what you gathered and contact you back when he responds back to me. He informed me that he and the Justice League are heading to the Island of Themyscira. Clearly, Wonder Woman's people are in a crisis." informed Alfred.

Barbara looked at her surroundings before seeing a ramp leading towards a door. "Well, I am all down with all girl power and all, but I am not down with living on an all woman island. I don't swing. I am a real woman. Good night, Alfred."

Barbara stopped talking as she did not want to go any further. She exited herself out of the building and casually walked down the sidewalk before zipping out of sight. While Barbara decided to head back to the Clocktower in hopes of finding out what a barcode has to do with the Black Eyed cartel, meanwhile back at the Lazy Royal apartment in his home doing some pull ups. CJ, who had installed a pull-up bar in front of his closed window, putting in some rips into his biceps to pass the time before calling it a night. CJ started to feel his biceps to give out before dropping down.

"That felt good." CJ told himself this before going over to grab his regular gray shirt from the couch.

Putting it on before going over to reach his remote to the bluetooth speaker to turn off his tunes. Making his way into the kitchen he went into his fridge to pull out one of the bottles of flavored water. Opening it up he took a few sips of his all berry flavored water before walking his way out of the kitchen. His mind is all focused on tomorrow for the first day of Gotham City's police department. Sure it was not field work but a job is a job either way.

"Who would have thought I would be stabbed in the back from not only my own police partner but the whole damn department?." CJ asked himself this while taking another sip of his water before heading over to one of his shelves on the left side corner.

He went over to this one item in picticular. The item is a medium sized open box with a legit gold medal with a red, navy blue, and white ribbon necklace that is attached and inside. He picked up his reward, which is the public safety officer medal of valor that is given to him by the president of the United States himself. A special reward for any police officer who has exhibited exceptional courage, regardless of his or her personal safety in the attempts of saving and protecting any human life. To be really honest with himself, CJ is not the type of person to be a center of attention let alone being praised for doing his job that the taxpayers are paying him to do.

Despite him trying to avoid such praise the civilians will still want to show their apprehension. As a matter of fact, it was the civilians of Chicago who flooded the Whitehouse with letters of demand in presenting the highest medal of honor that they can only give to a police officer. Yes, they had an outstanding party at the rented out college stadium. CJ remembered being in his all out uniform suit while giving the reward by the president. Of course, he had to look proud and be boastful to please the citizens along with giving a well thought up written speech.

CJ put his reward back on the shelf before making his way to sit himself down on his couch. "I had that feeling that this is all too good to be true. Especially when my ex-chief pulled me to the side."

With that in mind he remembered almost trying to make his way out of the building and heading himself out to go right home before anyone pulled him for another photo taking. That is when his ex-chief pulled him right out into the fancy mens bathroom and locked the door to prevent anyone from coming in and barged in on their conversation. It did not go well. The man gave CJ that thick document of written petition from every single cop in the department including himself and his police partner. CJ was livin. He gave him the two options of which city will be available for transfering one cop to their region.

He told him that he will give it some time to think before choosing his answer of which city he wants to be transferred to. That is when he met up with the Governor of New Jersey. The governor personally traveled from New Jersey to personally thank him for saving his granddaughter, which is the same girl he first encountered and untied from that closed room. The whole rest is history. CJ finished his water and threw his bottle into the green medium sizes recycling can.

"Time to go to bed." CJ headed into his bedroom for sleep.

*2 Weeks Later*

Barbara, who had her body all stretched out in her bed with the covers and bedsheets all out of position, slightly awoke from multiple knocks from her door. She spent a good couple of hours at the Clocktower on the batcomputer in search of the clue about what a barcode has to do with the Black Eyed cartel. Unfortunately, she can find the legit answer to the mystery of the barcode for two whole weeks. Even Tim nor Alfred can figure this one out. Guess you can this is why the title of world's greatest detective belongs to Batman.

Barbara stirring around in her bed trying to ignore those door knocks. Then it stopped. She relaxed in her sleep. Then she heard multiple rings of her doorbell being rung.

"Ahhhh, for fuck sakes." Barbara frustrated her way out of her bed.

Walking her way towards her door while scratching her itchy messy hair before moving her hand to scratch her right ass itchy cheek, she went over to her door without even looking at the peephole.

"Boy, that is a good ass scratching. Literally." Barbara spoke before opening the door. "Yeah?."

CJ, who is wearing a black Gotham City Police Department logo t-shirt with a pair of black jeans and all black pair of Jordans, looked at Barbara with a intrigued facial expression.

"Morning, Barb. My, My, My, how adorable you look." CJ spoke in honesty as he really liked how Barbara looked in the morning.

Barbara slightly blushed when hearing that comment as that was an honest and not a sarcastic response. "Uh, you are up so early. Come in."

CJ entered before closing the door back. "Sorry, it is a cop thing. Getting up with little sunlight is what some cops like to do."

"No kidding." Barbara nodded before yawning. "Why did you ring and bang my door like some kid with zero to no home training?."

"I know you, Barbara." CJ smirked. "You have a terrible problem getting up in the morning. You are a lazyass when it comes down to waking up on a Friday. And I know because you always never turn on your alarm on Thursday night during school time when you and I were kids. Glad, that has not changed about you."

Barbara can not help but to give out a smile. That was kind of sweet of CJ remembering that old little fun fact about her. "Glad that you remember a fun fact about me. Again, you did not answer my question."

"Since you are indeed my partner by no choice, I figured that I should drive us to work and help you save gas in your car. Plus, I want to treat you to breakfast." said CJ.

"Oh, good that is thoughtful of you. Let me get myself ready and will be on our way to the drive-thru to Mcdonald's and…" Barbara was stopped in her sentence.

"Mcdonald's?. Oh, fuck no. We are not going to Mcdonald's for breakfast. You seriously need to cut off from eating there and eat something healthy like a salad." said CJ, before checking his phone in assuming that he felt a buzz of a notification.

"Uh, Mcdonald's is my number one go to breakfast eats. There is nothing wrong with a nice order of two sausages, egg, and cheese mcgriddles and one large mocha frappe." Barbara argued before heading to get ready for today.

CJ put his phone back. "Yeah, it is when you keep running into that joint every single chance you get. Keep that up and we will have to find you dead with a triple cheeseburger in one hand and a large milkshake in the other hand. Not a good way to go out."

"That is why you pace yourself, CJ." Barbara called out when the shower water was running hard.

After getting ready and getting out wearing her green shirt with her Gotham City University logo with a pair of khaki pants and matching shoes. They got into CJ's car and drove out from the parking garage before turning right to head to a nearby diner that is close to GCPD itself. They exited the car and entered the small diner that had little to no customer's there and sat at the booth. A waitress came up to them with a serving smile on her face when pulling out her pen and notepad.

"What can I get you two to drink?." She asked.

"I have a cup of coffee, please." said CJ, before looking at the menu.

"And I will have the same, please." said Barbara, before checking the menu as well.

With quick service the waitress returned with those coffees and set them on the table. "Have you decided what you want or should I come back a few minutes after you are ready?."

"I will have two pancakes with the side of baked hash browns and scrambled cheesy eggs with mushrooms." said CJ, before giving her the menu.

"I will have the triple layer omelet with the same sides as him." said Barbara, giving her the menu as well.

"I'm all over it." She said when heading back into the kitchen.

CJ and Barbara went to flavor their coffee. Barbara picked up the clear can of sweetener to pour some in her cup while CJ went to add cream to his cup. Usually, normal people would hand each other the items when they are done, but for these two they tossed at each other before slightly slamming the front of their spoons to flip. When doing so they will immediately catch the handle of the spoon with precise timing. The two took this moment to look at one another for a few seconds before starting to chuckle. Yes, during those two weeks the two have slowly started to rekindle their shattered friendship. Not fast mind you, but it is a working process.

"We still got it, don't we?." Barbara said with a toothy grin.

CJ grinned back. "It looks like it, huh?. I am surprised that you and I can pull that one off. We have not done that in years."

"Right. Ready for another day at the evidence locker room?." Barbara asked when stirring her coffee.

"Might as well. I am not going to see any action as long as your Dad is putting me on an extremely short leash." said CJ, picking his cup up to drink.

"I already know your response when I am about to say, so I am not going to say it." said Barbara, before seeing their food come. "Wow, they cook fast."

"What did you expect when you are in a diner with little to no customers here?." said CJ, while grabbing his silverware.

Once they ate and with CJ paying for the meal while Barbara tipped the two drove right into GCPD police garage and exited the car. Upon entering through this side of the building while clocking themselves in they then headed to the evidence locker room. It is a nicely super large room having a bunch of evidence from old cases or items belonging to any type of criminal. They shared an office that has an open help desk booth with two computers underneath for the two to use. CJ and Barbara went into their signature spots and went to put in their username and password on the computers and began working.

Jim walked in with his cup of covered coffee to see them before heading to his office. "Huh, you are early, Barbara. You usually are here late on Fridays."

Barbara rolled her eyes while adjusting her glasses. "All thanks to this guy getting up like we are in boot camp."

CJ kept his eyes on his screen before looking back at Barbara. "Well, I just hate to have your pay deducted for coming to work late. The timecard is nothing to drag your feet with."

"That is one of the things that I liked about you, CJ. Dedication. You don't see that much from your generation and the young generation." said Jim, taking a sip of his coffee.

"They just need a good lifestyle of junior military and they will be so very dedicated." said CJ, looking at his new boss.

"No fucking thank you." Barbara shook her head on the thought of doing a boot camp lifestyle.

"It is not all that bad if you really think about it, Barb. I will let you do your day's work. See ya." Jim walked away from the room and headed to do his thing as chief.

Hours have gone by as the two really have nothing to do since working at the evidence locker does not see much action. They just simply do a write up on the new items that come there and they just place it into the ideal label area before putting the information into the GCPD's computer.

Barbara looked at the time on her computer screen before putting a smile on her face. "Alright, it is lunch time."

"You don't say?." CJ took a drink of his water.

Barbara got up from her seat. "Come on, let's head outside. The food truck should be out in the parking lot."

"I will be there, Barb. Let me just use the bathroom and I will be there." CJ smiled at her.

"Cool." Babrabra headed her way out with some of the cops.

At that moment of her being out of sight, CJ dropped his smile and replaced it with a serious facial expression. He got up and went over to the exact section of the evidence room that he wanted to go in. When getting to that certain location he saw his target. A pallet stacked with packaged cocaine along with the whole thing being wrapped in shipping plastic.

"Finally we have some little alone time." CJ said before approaching the product.

Unlike Barbara, CJ is an excellent detective cracker when it comes to finding that difficult easter egg solving. That, and he had excellent training in the police academy and field work experience on these types of cases. Yes, CJ has been following up about the Black Eyed cartel ever since Jim gave them the daily meetings. From their sources along with what Batgirl had informed the commissioner, there was something about a barcode to the location of the cartel's operations, but have no idea where to find that barcode. CJ automatically knew where it was and just needed an opportunity for one of the crew to bust a drug smuggler and bring that evidence to GCPD.

They busted a low-level smuggler who is only dropping off one pallet order of cocaine to Metropolis and threw him in the cell. CJ pulled out his pocket knife and carefully slid the sharp blade down the plastic without poking a hole in one of the packages. Once opening it all the way down he pulled the plastic back before starting to get to work. He knows that the barcode is labeled underneath the center of a cocaine package and does not bother informing anyone about this since he wants to make it his case, and wants to be the one to kill the kingpin.

Moving one more cocaine package he found his center package and flipped over to see that barcode. Pulling out his phone and clicking on the app that is a barcode scanner he quickly scanned the barcode. When doing so his screen on his phone went black for a short second and then pops up a GPS coordinates mapping.

"Bingo." CJ saved onto his phone before working on fixing the pallet back and taping the seal back.

CJ then headed his way out to where Barbara is before her nosey ass started getting suspicious and ordered himself a footlong sub. Once the shift was over they returned to their apartment and quickly bid each other goodnight without even questioning each other on why they were eager to enter their home. CJ went into getting his blue jean hoodie custom jacket with a gun holster on the inside and put his gun there, and then put two clips of ammunition on the other side that has an inner pocket. When done he grabbed his keys and headed straight into the parking garage. Getting into his car he opened his phone and placed it on its phone holder and turned the volume up to hear the voice of the GPS to guide him.

"Alright, time to be a real cop." CJ said when driving out of the parking garage and made a left turn based on what the GPS said.

Barbara meanwhile is at her Clock Tower in its batmode going over her clues as to finding the barcode that will lead to the operations of the Black Eyed cartel. At that moment she is stuck. That is until she received an incoming call on the bat computer screen of the podium that she is currently using. She answered it and then saw Batman on the screen looking at her.

"Evening, Barbara, I figured out where to find that barcode in finding that cocaine operation of the cartel." said Batman.

"Sounds great because I still have no idea where to find it. I checked the streets, the walls, and even abandoned buildings in detective mode. No luck." said Barbara, looking up at the big screen in checking to see if the Batsiginal was activated.

"You are looking in the wrong places, Barbara. The cartel puts their barcodes on one package of cocaine in their delivery. It is a way for their buyers to know where to send the money to them or need to have an audience with Kingpin Bike. A clever way of running illegal drugging." said Batman.

"Speaking about the drugs. One of the cops busted a smuggler and dropped off that one pallet of coke in the evidence locker." said Barbara, realizing that the barcode was under her nose this whole.

Batman nodded. "Go suit up and head over to GCPD, and scan that barcode. Once you do, follow whatever it will lead you to the Black Eyed operations."

"Gotcha, boss. Over and out. Oh, and how soon will you be returning to Gotham?." asked Barbara.

"Not long. See you, Alfred, and Tim later." Batman hung up.

Barbara nodded. "Alright, time to play Halloween dress up."

When making her to her opened suit chamber while removing her clothes she stopped. A thought had popped into her head. A thought about CJ. She put her hand on her right side of her hip while tapping her foot with a brow raised.

"Something is off." Barbara told herself when thinking back today at work with CJ. "He said he was going to the bathroom before meeting me outside to order food from the food truck. That sounds very suspicious."

Barbara shrugged it off to resume putting her Batgirl attire on her while giving CJ the benefit of the doubt. Even though CJ's file does read that he took a major deactivate class as one of his main courses when he was away. Still, she is going to give him the benefit of the doubt. Exiting out from the Clock Tower before jumping off to spread her cape to glide, Barbara glided to the rooftop of GCPD and made her way to the elevator. When reaching the floor she got out and gave a few cops a jumpscare when appearing. Making her way to the evidence room while knowing where the pallet is located, she instantly went into evidence scanner mode.

Barbara approached the pallet but then saw an orange line down the middle while seeing fingerprints. "No he did not."

Barbara walked back to their desk after seeing that she had a non-crime scene to view. She put all the puzzle pieces together and watched her best friend in the detective mode version going over and opening the pallet's plastic down the middle, and seeing him going through each package until he found the barcode. Barbara turned off the mode and went to do exactly what CJ did and found the barcode. Using her electronic contact lens she zoomed into the barcode perfectly and took a quick snap. From there her computer in her lens has shown her the location on where she needs to go.

"When I see CJ, and going to shove my Batgirl boot so far up his ass, that he will be spitting out my toenails." said a pissed off Barbara.

Barbara speed walked her way out of GCPD in such quickness. "Going to have to call my girl if I am going to reach my destination."

Pressing the button in the center of her utility belt she then saw the Batwing appear from the sky and dropped off her matching two wheeler all electric motorcycle. Immediately getting on her custom cycle she then accelerated the handles and zoomed right on out of sight like she was in an illegal street racing. Just like everyone's contact lens when suiting up for night patrol the technology labels the pinpoint location on where they needed to go. They can all thank Lucius Fox for that tech making.

Barbara looked up to see the bat symbol pinpoint while split the map with one eye having the eye and the other is watching where she is driving, she sees the whole map of Gotham and see the location is taking her to Chinatown on Bleake Island.

"Bleake Island?. Of course, they would set up shop in Chinatown.'' said Barbara, passing a few cars and then going underneath a semi truck.

Reaching into the Bleake Island district while having his eyes opened for any gang members close by, CJ slowly took his time to find a good hidden spot to park his car and go on foot. When doing so he exited his car and carefully not to look suspicious.

CJ felt a few drips. "Huh, it is starting to rain. How fitting."

Making his way through the slightly busy street until reaching Chinatown, CJ takes a good look at what the map on his phone is showing him. It shows the building right here but he sees a buffet restaurant in front. Giving it a good clever thought this restaurant is a front.

"Well, I might as well do it." CJ entered the building where there is a good crowd tonight.

CJ approached the asian woman at the front who had a big smile on her face.

"Welcome to Dragon of The West." She spoke. "How many in your party?."

CJ rested his arms on the desk and leaned forward to whisper to her. "Straw and a small mirror with sugar on it."

The woman stopped smiling as she got the hint. "Follow me."

CJ figured that one of those slang sentences would work since he busted a small drug operation from Chicago. He is going after this drug kingpin because the Black Eyes cartel was once owned by the man who killed his parents, and wanted to finally put an end to it by killing off the one who picked up the mantle. It is in fact personal for him. Once the woman took him into the back which is the kitchen and then led him to the restaurant's inventory.

"Here you go." She said before walking away.

CJ turned his attention to the hidden door that is in the corner. He opened it up and closed it down before climbing his way on down. As for Barbara who has pulled up and figured out that the operation is indeed underground. In response she went to a second way by going down level and pulled open the lid to the sewer and jumped right on in.

"Fake sewer tunnel. Clever. Penguin is dealing with a kingpin with class." commented Barbara.

When walking a little bit more through the tunnel until finding a tunnel gate by a double door. Being like a member of the Bat Family, Barbara went to force open the gate and went right through the tunnel. It was like a maze in those tunnels. In fact she stopped a moment after hearing something in that tunnel with her. She shrugged off thinking that it was nothing but a rat and continued to move forward.

"It's that damn cop that killed my pedophiled brother!." yelled a man.

"Oh, shit." Babrabra heard the nearby voice and quickly pressured the gate to exit.

CJ meanwhile was shooting a few scums after being caught by the man who is related to that dead fuckling pedophile. He has been shooting and killing and reloading his gun. Unfortunately, he used up all of his ammunition.

"Fuck!. I am out!." CJ ran to find cover while the others were chasing and shooting at him.

"I got your ass now, pig!. This is for my sick ass pedophile brother!." One thug had a good aim once, jumping surprising CJ and pinned him into the floor with his foot.

"Shit!." CJ spoke when being pinned to the floor.

Then out of nowhere a batarang made contact with the man's hand and dropped the gun. Then the person responsible for it jumped up and slammed the man's head to the ground unconscious. CJ looked at the person who saved him and saw none other than Batgirl herself. She looked at him with a frown while putting her hand out.

"Let's go." Barbara spoke.

CJ took her hand and got pulled back to his feet. "Thanks."

Babrabra got close to CJ. "No problem. Dumbass."

"Dumbass?." CJ frowned. "It takes one to know one."

Barbara rolled her eyes. "Fuck you. Now get out of here while I handle these jackasses."

"Since I don't have any more bullets. Have fun." CJ turned to run right on out of there.

Little did he or Batgirl know that something had watched and heard their conversation. The unknown thing started going after CJ through the air vent tunnel. CJ ran until finding himself in the loading docks. He tried to catch his breath. Trying to find a way out of the place and go get to his car, he suddenly felt a drip on his shoulder. The drip did not feel like a raindrop. No, it felt a bit heavy. He looked to see what landed on his shoulder and touched it.

"What the?." CJ looked at the gooey multicolor substance.

Suddenly the goo itself began to attach itself on his fingers. CJ did not like it not one bit as he tried to pull the stuff off his finger. But it gets so much worse. CJ heard a liquid puddle like sound and looked up to see the air vent gate. At that very moment the rest of the goo falls right onto CJ.

"Get off of me!. Get off of me!." CJ tried to rip the gooey stuff off of him, but if did not know any better he could feel it knows what he is doing and went to hold on tight to him.

CJ felt the nasty goo starting to take over his whole body before his mind started to show him memories. Memories that are not his own. CJ started to see some elderly man in some get up kneeling down in front of a big greenish white bearded man with less hair wearing some sort of armor like attire. CJ tried to shake these thoughts out of his head but no luck. His sights were becoming blurry as he barely saw his surroundings before falling down and seeing everything going dark. Right before he heard an echo voice of what appeared to be a woman.

"I am half and a part of you and you are half and a part of me. We are now forever bonded. We Are Now One."

(A/N): Well, that was fun to write. Hope you guys enjoy this chapter. And also, RIP to Kevin Conroy and Arleen Sorkin. It is said that we will never get another Arkham game without the man let alone a good ass Batman Beyond Arkham version game. Also, high respects to the OG who inspired and help create Harley Quinn. Those two will surely be missed.
