Saiyans of Jura

"Mind telling us what we're doing in your Workshop?" Kaen questioned his sister as he, Mina, and Eri walked through the attic workshop of their house.

"Yeah, Kaen promised me we'd take our flight to America for our Disney World vacation today." Mina said, dressed in nothing but a bikini top, and a mini-shorts, completed with a vest.

"Mama, Papa, when are we going?" Eri asked, dressed in a pair of red overalls and a blue t-shirt. "I wanna see Disney World, and I wanna meet the big talking Mouse." She had a hat on her head with two big round ears.

"We'll be leaving soon. Aunt Athena just has a few things she wants our help with. An' you'll be able to meet Mickey Mouse when we get there." Mina said.

"She's already wearing a Mickey Mouse Hat." Kaen chuckled.

"I was hoping you'd give my new invention a whirl." Athena said, pulling their attention to her, before holding up something that looked like a watch. "It's supposed to replicate the Instant Teleportation Quirk I have in my arsenal, with more efficiency and pin point accuracy to one's location, but in order for it to work, one of you needs to wear it."

"How exactly does it work?" Kaen questioned.

"Well when you put it on, you press the red button, and a hard-light holographic screen will be projected, and ask for coordinates." Athena explained. "It's still experimental, so start with a small distance, before going for a bigger one."

"Are you sure this is safe?" Mina inquired.

"I'm 50/50 on this." Athena said. "It could go either way."

"Alright, here goes." Kaen said.

"Careful Papa." Eri said.

Pressing the red button, Kaen brought up the hard-light screen, and put in five feet for the distance to teleport.

"Put a little more distance than that. Try putting in an address or a corner store that's nearby." Athena said.

"Are all Saiyans this nutty with tech?" Mina asked, holding Eri's hand. "'Cause I don't wanna end up like that."

"I think it's just an Athena thing." Kaen said, putting in the closest convenience store location. "I think she's been hanging around Rose, and Hatsume for too long."

"Hey!" Athena mock gasped. "They are not that bad. An' neither of them have caused anything to explode since I became a surrogate. So don't go mocking me or my friends, just because you don't understand how technology works."

"She's gonna rant again." Eri said.

"Fine, fine. Be back in a minute." Kaen sighed, before he disappeared. A short while waiting later, Kaen reappeared in the attic workshop, holding three Fruit Punch Rockstars.

"Who's thirsty?" Kaen smiled.

"I am." Eri smiled.

"Nice one." Mina smiled. "Hey Athena, can Kaen, Eri, and I take this to Disney World to avoid plane expenses?"

"I don't see why not." Athena said. "Just grab onto him before he leaves, and you should disappear with him."

"Alright, this should be good." Mina smiled.

"Got any Quirks for us before we go?" Kaen asked.

"I do for Mina actually, and I've been working on my deliverance, so you shouldn't feel any pain when I give them to you." Athena smiled. "I was wanting to wait until I had complete control over the deliverance of the Quirks to make them painless, so now's a perfect time." Athena smiled, Mina's face. Her hand lit up as she transferred copies of the chosen Quirk, before removing her hand. "There. How do you feel?"

"I've got a slight headache, but other than that I'm fine." Mina said. "What Quirks did you give me?"

"Well, I gave you a merged combination of two different Quirks I melded into one. But before I tell you what they are…" Athena smiled, looking over to her twin brother. "Kaen, why don't you go down stairs and grab your groups travel bags?"

"Oh right, be right back." Kaen said, running down the stairs of the attic.

"Okay spill, what did you give me?" Mina asked with a smile.

"Stick this… between your breasts." Athena smiled, holding up one of the two remaining cans of Rockstars, Eri already drinking one of them.

Mina took the can, and the instant it touched her bare skin, she shivered, feeling how cold it was from the convenience store fridge.

"Oooh, that's cold." Mina said, looking down after she shoved it all the way in. "Huh, where'd it go? I can't feel it anymore."

"Reach in, and pull it out." Athena said.

Mina did so, and was shocked her chest felt like an endless void, before she felt the can, grabbed it and pulled it out.

"Whoa." She smiled.

"Now reach in again." Athena smiled.

Mina did so, and to her surprise she felt another can, and pulled it out.

"What the? I could have sworn I only stuck the one can in there." Mina said. "What Quirks did you merge together, exactly Athena?"

"The two Quirks I merged together were Pocket Void, and Duplication." Athena smiled, enjoying the look of shock on Mina's face. "I call this Quirk, Duplication Void. Anything that's been in there once, you can create an infinite number of, and they're an exact duplicate, down to the last atom. I have it myself, and tested its limits. You can use it for storage, without duplicating the item if you want it that way. But it can also be used for safety reasons. Like hiding someone and protecting them from danger, without any risk to any long term stays."

"Cool." Mina smiled.

"Now Mama's chest is more then just a distraction for Papa when he gets mad at her for something stupid she did." Eri pointed out.

"What was that?" Athena questioned.

"Any other Quirks you give me?" Mina asked, wanting to change the subject as her face flushed violet.

"I couldn't really think of any others you might want. Any abilities on your mind, in particular you might desire?" Athena inquired.

"Hmm… I guess you do have a point. I can't really think of anything." Mina said, before an idea came to her. "Oh wait, I just thought of one. Can you give me a Quirk that allows me to permanently change my appearance? Like skin tone, or changing colors for camouflage?"

"What for?"

"I'd like to see what I'd look like with different colors of skin, like neon blue, or maybe emerald green, oh, how about purple, or maybe orange, what about Simpson Yellow?" Mina smiled excitedly.

"I guess that could work." Athena chuckled, putting her hand on Mina's face. "An' I have just the Quirk to give." After her fingers and hand glowed a bit, Athena removed her hand, and smiled at Mina. "Try thinking about what color you want your skin."

Mina smiled and closed her eye before it began to change, and her skin became a deep royal blue. "Wow, that's so cool." Mina smiled, before switching her skin back to pink.

"I gave you a simple camouflage Quirk, but since I upgraded it with Xerox, it can do more than just make you blend in with backgrounds." Athena explained.

"Anything for me Aunt Athena?" Eri asked.

"I have just the thing." Athena smiled, grabbing something from her Duplication Void, and putting it around Eri's shoulder. "This is a fanny pack made with Duplication Void, and a special sweet treat for you inside."

"Thank you Aunt Athena." Eri smiled, before she went running for the exit. "There's something I forgot to grab."

"I'm back you two." Kaen said, coming up with his and Mina's luggage, while Eri ran past him. "Where's Eri going?"

"Apparently she forgot to grab something." Mina said. "I can take the luggage." She smiled, taking the bags, and shoving them into her Duplication Void.

"Whoa." Kaen said with a blush. "That is a pretty handy Quirk."

"I know right?" Mina smiled, enjoying the flustered look on his face, as she tossed him the duplicated energy drink.

"One more thing." Athena said, tossing them a small sack, sounding like they were filled with something. "Celeron said, he went to the other earth during these last six years we haven't seen him right?"

"Yeah, he spied on Kakarot and learned that Kamehameha attack from watching him perform it several times." Kaen said. "He also brought back something that instantly healed his injuries. He called them Senzu Beans."

"Well you'll be happy to know, with the Senzu Bean you gave me, I managed to make my own garden of them." Athena said, tossing Kaen the bag. "That is filled with about twenty five Senzu Beans."

"I got this." Mina said, taking the beans and putting them where she'd put the luggage.

"Alright, you're all set to go." Athena said. "Now, you're just waiting on Eri."

"I'm back." Eri called out, running back up to them. "Sorry to keep you waiting."

"Now that everyone going on this trip is here, Disney World here we come." Mina said, as Kaen put the coordinates into the watch.

"Here we go." Kaen smiled hitting enter, as Mina grabbed Eri's hand, while grabbing Kaen's with the other.

The watch began to power up, but Athena knew there was something wrong when the teleportation device began to glitch, and apparently, she wasn't the only one to notice this malfunction.

"Athena, what's going on?" Kaen questioned.

"I don't know. Something's wrong. I tested out every simulation I needed to before making this, and it's never happened in any of them." Athena said looking at the device. "The watch is malfunctioning. The distance is too great for it to handle in its beta testing phase."

"This is bad." Kaen said. "I can't get it off."

"Hold on Kaen, we'll get it off you." Mina said grabbing at it.

Kaen saw the device was overloading, and about to blow. Looking to Mina, Kaen pushed her and Eri back, not wanting either of them to get caught up in the explosion.

"Hold on, I've got a remote somewhere to remotely undo the locks." Athena said, searching through her workshop.

"I don't think we have the time." Mina said.

"You three find cover." Kaen ordered her the three girls.

"No, I won't leave you Papa." Eri cried out, hugging him tight.

"Eri, you have to leave, and find cover to avoid the explosion." Kaen said.

"No, if you're going down, we're going with you." Mina said, taking Eri into her arms, and grabbing Kaen's hand. "I'm positive this won't kill you, so wherever this thing takes us, we'll see it through, together."

"Mina…" Kaen paused. "I'm sorry for getting you and Eri into this mess."

"You didn't get us into this mess. We chose to be here." Mina said with a soft smile.

Kaen pulled Mina and Eri in for a hug, as the three of them embraced one another for the inevitable explosion. Without a sound, the device connected to Kaen's wrist went off, enveloping the trio in a flash of light, before the loud boom echoed out, causing the windows to burst, and for the building to quake.

"Athena?" Toshinori called out, racing into the workshop with Gine, both of them gasping when they saw the attic looked like a bomb had gone off. "Athena?" He inquired with a bit more panic in his voice.

"Over here." Athena called out, pushing a table off her, and coughing up the smoke in her lungs, caressing her pregnant curve.

"Athena what happened?" Gine questioned, running to Athena, to see if she, or her cargo, was all right. "Are you hurt anywhere? Are the babies okay?"

Gine and Toshinori noticed the look of sadness and pain on her face, before she broke down, crying into her mother's embrace.

"I'm sorry mom, dad." Athena balled. "I'm sorry. I couldn't stop it, and… and…"

"Hey, it's okay, you're safe now." Toshinori said.

"But it's not okay." Athena said. "Kaen, Mina, and Eri were up here to and they… I let them use my latest invention to go to Disney World, to skip the long flights, and my device malfunctioned and…"

"What was your device meant to do?" Toshinori asked, knowing Athena would never intend to invent something that was meant for harming innocent people.

"It was supposed to utilize the Instant Teleportation Quirk I have in my Xerox arsenal. Kaen tested it by going to the store and coming back with some drinks, but it couldn't handle the distance from here to Florida." Athena explained.

"Where are they now Athena. Where are Kaen, Mina, and Eri now?" Gine inquired.

Athena just began crying and pushed herself deeper into Gine's embrace.

"Gine… I think I know what happened to them." Toshinori said, solemnly.

Gine turned to Toshinori, and saw he was looking, directly at one of the walls. Turning her gaze to match his, she gasped, when she saw three silhouettes of ash, embracing each other.

"Oh no." Gine gasped.

"I'm sorry, I'm so sorry, it's all my fault. I shouldn't have been so prideful of my device, and let them use it." Athena sobbed. "Mina was certain that the explosion wouldn't kill them, that it would only take them somewhere else. But now, I can't help but feel she was wrong."

"This isn't your fault sweetie." Gine said, as she began to tear up.

"Why would you build something like that in the first place though?" Toshinori inquired.

"I thought if I did, Heroes could get to villain attacks faster and there'd be less property damage or casualties as a result." Athena cried.

"Oh, Athena." Toshinori said, pulling her into a hug. "You're always thinking of others safety before your own. An' I'm proud of you for that."

"C'mon, the fire department and police are gonna be here soon." Gine said. "Let's get out of the attic to let them do their job. No doubt an ambulance to. They're gonna want to take you to the hospital after this mess."

~Forest of Jura~

Kaen hissed as he opened his eyes, whatever that watch did it sure as hell left a stinging after affect. Slowly sitting up, Kaen realized that the pain was slowly diminishing, but other then that, there was nothing else going on around him. Looking around, Kaen found himself sitting in a grassy field, with Mina by his side, but Eri nowhere to be seen.

"Eri? ERI?" Kaen called out.

"Whoa, chill my dude."

Kaen looked to his right, to see a light blue slime, looking right at him. Or at least it seemed that way, as the slime didn't have any eyes.

"Uh…" Kaen didn't know what to do, as he didn't know if the slime was the one talking or not.

"What, I got something on my face?" The slime asked.

"Gah." Kaen said, crawling back, before tripping over Mina and waking her.

"Ow Kaen what the hell?" Mina questioned, annoyed at what Kaen was doing as she got to her knees. "I was having a wonderful dream."

"Careful now, I just healed your injuries." The slime said.

Mina just looked at the slime, before she and Kaen both jumped to their feet.

"Kaen, that slime's talking."

"I know, I'm freaking out to. I mean, it doesn't look like someone's Quirk, but I could be wrong, and we could be freaking out for nothing." Kaen said, not noticing how the slime's attention was instantly drawn to him. "Did Athena's device kill us, and we got isekai'd to another world, or what?"

"I don't know, she's your sister. You should know what goes on in that head of hers." Mina said.

"Hold on." The slime said. "Did you just think this was my Quirk?"

"Wait… you know about Quirks?" Kaen asked.

"I do."

"How?" Mina asked, calming down a bit.

"Let me know if this sounds familiar to either of you." The slime said. "Nice to meet you, I'm not a bad slime, slurp."

Kaen and Mina were both tempted to laugh, as they knew that phrase and reference came from a video game they both tried out early on in their friendship.

"Aha, so you're both from Japan." The slime said.

"You know of Japan as well?" Mina asked.

"Duh."

"The slime has to be, it referenced a line from that adventure game we tried in middle school last year." Kaen said. "Tell us, how do you know about Japan?"

"An' have you seen our daughter Eri?" Mina asked.

"You two were the only ones I found here." The slime said. "As for how I know about Japan…" There was a pause as the slime prepared to tell them his backstory. "My name is Rimuru Tempest, but in my previous life, I was a simple office worker named Satoru Mikami. I was stabbed to death when saving a coworkers fiance from her attacker, and reincarnated into this world as a slime. The world I came from, was filled with 80% of the population, possessing strange and amazing abilities known as Quirks."

"Satoru Mikami?" Mina asked, before looking to Kaen. "But that's the name of…"

"Yeah." Kaen sighed.

"Huh?" Rimuru asked. "I'm confused, what's the significance of my name?"

"Satoru Mikami was… the first person I was unable to save." Kaen sighed. "I got to the scene when you were still alive, after I'd caught the man who stabbed you, but I couldn't do anything to help you, as it was too late. I was still in middle school, but I had a provisional license due to situations I went through about six years back."

"You caught my killer, and avenged me. You did your best, and that's all that matters." Rimuru said.

"I could have done better." Kaen said. "I'm sorry I failed."

"You didn't." Rimuru said. "Now, about the matter of your daughter. How exactly do the two of you have a daughter, when you're what I'm assuming first years in high school?"

"That's a bit of a story." Mina stated, as they walked down the path with Rimuru following.

As they walked, Kaen and Mina told Rimuru about Eri, and Overhaul, switching out her Quirk, and taking on the role of her parents for her.

"I see. So that explains why you have a daughter, but how did you get to this world?" Rimuru asked.

"We believe it had something to do with a device my sister made, meant for teleporting from one location to another." Kaen said.

"Are we on Mars?" Mina asked, grabbing their attention as they stopped.

Kaen and Rimuru turned to see that there was a small horde of little green men.

"Scrawny bodies, rusted and damaged weapons, tattered clothing. These are goblins." Kaen said. "They look so scared and timid."

"Strong ones, please forgive me but, do you have some sort of business out here in the forest?" One of the goblins questioned.

"What's your name little one?" Kaen asked.

"I don't have a name. The only one among our people to possess a name, was my brother, Rigur." The Goblin said.

'Hmm, interesting.' Kaen thought. "We apologize for intruding on your territory, we got a little lost and wound up here."

"Oh, well if you'd like, you can come back to our village, and we can help you find your way from there." The Goblin said. "Where is it you wish to go?"

"Hmm... We wish to return home, but it's not gonna be possible. For a few reasons that I cannot express." Kaen said.

"I see. Well in that case, pleas come with us to our village, it's nothing special, and there's not a lot of shelter, but we can help you make the best of it." The goblin said. "Also, there is a favor we'd like to ask of you."

"Uh… we appreciate your hospitality." Kaen began. "But the timing couldn't be worse, our daughter is missing and…"

"Please, just hear us out." The goblin said as the horde bowed to him.

"Come on, you can't refuse when they prostrate themselves like that." Rimuru said.

"Very well." Kaen sighed in defeat. "I'll hear you out, but I will require aid of my own after this."

"Please, follow us." The goblin said, leading them to the goblin village.

"Lore and myth have goblins all wrong." Mina smiled as they followed the Goblins. "These guys don't look so savage or lustful to me. In fact, they're very polite and well mannered."

"That being said, I wonder what favor they want to ask of us." Kaen said. "Rimuru, you might wanna reign in your power a bit, I think they're intimidate by it."

"My power?" Rimuru asked, before turning Magic Sense on himself. "Holy crap."

~Goblin Village~

"Is this place really a village?" Mina asked, as they sat in the village Chieftain's hut. "One sneeze from Mount Lady, and it'd be wiped off the map."

"Be nice Mina, we're their guests, and they agreed to help us if we helped them." Kaen said as the elder and the other goblin came into the hut and knelt before them.

"We welcome you all, to our humble town." The village elder, a frail looking old Goblin said. "We are so honored to have you here, I am the elder of this village."

"It's nice to meet you, my name's Kaen, this is Mina, and Rimuru." The Saiyan teen said.

"What exactly is it you're needing help with?" Mina asked.

"Have you perhaps noticed, that many of the monsters in the area are perhaps unusually active as of late?" The elder asked.

"No?" Rimuru asked.

"Our God, who has always protected us, suddenly disappeared without a trace, about a month ago." The elder stated. "As a result, the monsters who surround this area have continued to harass our poor village. We tried to fight them off ourselves, but we simply lack the numbers and the power to do so. Even our weapons aren't of much use as they are frail, and can break quite easily."

"An' that's why we asked you to come here." The younger goblin said.

"I see." Kaen sighed. "Well… I've never been known to turn down anyone in trouble, but as I mentioned to your young companion earlier, the timing is very bad."

"Our daughter is missing, and we need to find her as soon as possible. We fear the worst may be happen to her if we don't." Mina stated.

"I completely understand your plight." The elder said. "My eldest son, the only one of us who had a name, was killed in battle against these other monsters. But please I am begging you." He stated, bowing to them. "If you help us defeat our attackers, the Direwolves, then we will help you look for your daughter, and we won't rest until we find her."

Kaen and Mina looked to one another, before they nodded in silent agreement.

"Alright, we'll help." Mina said.

"We appreciate your willingness to help us as well." Kaen said.

"Thank you, we won't fail you." The elder said. "The Direwolves came from the east, and have been attacking us every night since then. I beg of you, please save our people. Many of them are injured, and may never fully recover."

"Rimuru." Kaen said. "You were able to heal mine and Mina's injuries earlier. Think you can do the same for the injured Goblins?"

"I'll do my best." Rimuru said.

"Take Rimuru to you injured. He'll tend to their wounds." Kaen instructed.

"Right, please follow me." The younger goblin said.

"Elder, Mina will help with setting up a perimeter and strengthen your defenses." Kaen said.

"Of course. Right this way."

"I'll do what I can." Mina said. "But what are you gonna do?"

"I'm gonna prepare for the battle ahead." Kaen stated.

~That Night~

The night was dark, and the air was calm, as a gentle breeze blew through the grassy plains. The moon was full, and Kaen stood in front of the fortified village, waiting for the Direwolves to make their move. With his hands clasped in front of him, Kaen heard the echoing sound of a howling wolf, and looked up to see the large canines standing atop the hill before him.

"Here they come." He said, slamming his foot on the ground, causing his hidden shield to flip through the air, before he latched it through the handles, with the item still in its collapsed form as a triangle with a rounded bottom.

"Kaen, are you sure this strategy will work?" Rimuru questioned, sitting on one of the spiked posts behind the Saiyan teen.

"I'm sure. Just stand back, and let me handle to Alpha. He's gonna learn there's a new Apex Predator in the forest." Kaen stated, his irises glowing gold momentarily.

Kaen held his ground as the wolves came closer into view. Upon seeing the saiyan teen just standing there, they stopped in their tracks at the command of their Alpha, and under the light of the moon.

"Uh, pardon me my lady, but what is he wearing?" The elder asked, referring to Kaen's hero costume.

Kaen's hero costume consisted of a navy blue sleeveless suit, with slim shoulder pads, and matching combat pants, with a belt and sash around his waist, holding several pouches on it, with a pair of vambraces on his forearms that covered the backs of his hands, with his emblem still visible just bellow the crook of his elbow, and steel toed combat boots on his feet. (Imagine a sleeveless Captain America Stealth Suit from the 2014 Winter Soldier movie.)

"Where we're from, there's a profession Kaen and I both trained for. He's currently wearing the uniform of his own design that identifies him, as someone who actively participates in said profession." Mina said. "But right now, he's blind, due to some impenetrable contact lenses blocking his sight."

"What would he need those for?" Rimuru questioned.

"It's a full moon tonight." Mina said. "If Kaen were to look at the moon at its fullest, he'd turn into a giant ape, at least 20 meters tall. An' he'd lose all sense of himself and who he is. He'd be nothing more than a mindless beast on a rampage."

"Gotcha, full moon bad, blindfold good." Rimuru said.

Taking in a deep breath, Kaen prepared for what was to come next. "Direwolves." He bellowed. "Turn back now, and nobody gets hurt, this is your first and only warning."

"You insolent retch. Do you really think a Direwolf would listen to a pathetic little human?" The Alpha questioned, his body shaking in anger. "Destroy that pitiful fence. Water the grass with the blood of Goblins, and their hired muscle."

As the Direwolf Pack went running to the fence that had been built up, Kaen flicked his right arm, and unfurled the triangle, revealing it was a circular shield with a diameter of three feet. Pulling his arm back, like he was about to throw something, Kaen empowered his body with 20% of his One-for-All, and grit his teeth.

"Detroit... SMASH!" He shouted out, sending the shield flying like a frisbee.

One by one, the shield hit the Direwolves, bouncing off their bodies and sending them to the ground, with accuracy aimed to strike them in the center of the forehead head. As the shield came back to Kaen, only a hand full of the Direwolves remained standing, as the others had been knock unconscious by his shield. Winding his arm back once again, Kaen planned on taking out the rest of the Direwolves, but was stopped when the one who had called the Alpha, father, lunged at him and ran his claws down Kaen's chest, leaving large and deep gashes that ran through both his pectorals.

'Direwolf claws are sharp enough to cut through Darmanium fabric? This creatures really are dangerous.' Kaen thought as he backed up and put a hand to his bloody chest, only to hold up his shield to block the Direwolf Alpha from striking him again.

"You shall not fell anymore of my comrades." The Direwolf barked, as Kaen pushed him away with his shield.

"I won't let you harm this village." Kaen declared, using his shield to block the Direwolf Alpha's attacks.

Removing one of his hands from pushing back with his shield, Kaen punched the Direwolf in the face, before he threw his shield again, hitting the remaining wolves as they tried to get through the fence. All that stood now, was him and the Alpha.

"Surrender Alpha. This is your last chance." Kaen said, his shield returning to him.

"I will never surrender to you. I am a mighty Direwolf, and the leader of my pack." The Alpha growled, before charging at Kaen. "I WILL NEVER BOW."

Kaen moved to the side, as the Alpha charged at him, revealing it was a trap for the Alpha as a blade of water came from behind the Saiyan, and decapitated the Direwolf Alpha. His limp body falling to the ground as Rimuru came forward.

"Listen up Direwolves." Rimuru called to them as the rest of the pack regained consciousness. "Your boss has been slain. I'll give you two choices. You can submit, or you can die."

A moment after, Kaen grabbed the headless corpse of the wolf and threw it to Rimuru, while kicking the head like a soccer ball, before the slime devoured the slain Direwolf with his skill, Predator, and took on its form in a cloud of black smoke, before letting out a mighty howl that rang through the air. Kaen stood to the side of Rimuru as he used his newly acquired skill, Menace, and to his shock, the Direwolves came stalking up to Rimuru, and crouched on the ground in surrender just as he'd finished with Menace.

"We yield. Our pack will now serve you." The pack said in unison.

"Huh, looks like they chose to follow their new Alpha instead of turning tail and running away." Kaen smiled.

"Did we win?" The village elder questioned. "Are we safe?"

"Yep, all's good in the Goblin Hood." Rimuru said, revering back to slime form, temporarily keeping his wolf ears and tail.

"That could have been a lot worse." Mina said. "I'm glad the fight is over with."

"Like they say, make love not war." Kaen added, right before the goblins began cheering. "Still, this leaves a new problem to be resolved."

~The Following Morning~

"Where the hell are we gonna put all these Direwolves and goblins?" Mina questioned.

"It looks like their numbers are about the same. What do you think Rimuru?" Kaen asked, his shield hooked to his back.

"I'd say you're on to something. So how about this? Listen up everyone." Rimuru called to the gathered crowd of goblins and Direwolves, before Kaen took over.

"Here's what we're going to do about the living situation. We're gonna have you all pair up." Kaen stated.

"Pair?" The goblins questioned.

"Up?" The Direwolves asked.

"You all seem confused." Mina said. "Do you not understand what, pair up, means?"

"We are not sure what you mean by that term." The elder said.

"Alright, so essentially, you'll be forming groups of two, each comprised of one Goblin, and one Direwolf." Kaen explained.

"A group?" One of the goblins questioned.

"Of two?" One of the Direwolves questioned.

"Essentially, yesterday's enemy is today's friend." Mina explained.

"From this day forward, we want you all to work together, and get along, got it?" Rimuru inquired.

"Yes." The crowd said.

"So help each other out and have each other's backs." Rimuru continued.

"Next, we're gonna have to figure out food, shelter, and clothing." Kaen said. "For this, we're gonna have to split the village into teams. One for hunting and gathering food, one for building new homes, and one to help with strengthening the villages defenses."

"Let's start with…" Rimuru paused when he looked to the village elder's son. "Hey Kaen, what's that goblin's name again?"

"Hmm? Rimuru, these monsters don't have names. They're just known as goblins." Kaen said.

"It's very unusual for monsters to have names, but even without names, we can still communicate our thoughts to one another." The Elder said.

"Oh, that's cool." Rimuru said. "Still though, it'd be easier if you all had names, so if it's okay with you guys, I think I'll just give you some."

"Wait, really?" The elder asked as the village gasped. "But are you certain you wanna give us all a name?"

"Uh, yeah?" Rimuru questioned, before the goblins and Direwolves began cheering.

A bit later, all the goblins and Direwolves formed a line in front of Rimuru and the village elder was the first to be given a name. Kaen and Mina were standing on either side of Rimuru as they'd become his, unofficial bodyguards.

"All right, you'll go first." Rimuru said. "Let's see, what to call you?"

"Sir, what was the name of your eldest son, if you don't mind me asking?" Mina inquired.

"It was Rigur." The elder said.

"That's cool sounding. In that case I'll dub thee, Rigurd." Rimuru said.

"To think you have honored me with such a wondrous name, you've made me so happy." Rigurd said.

"Alright, next please." Mina smiled as Rigurd danced away happily as his son came up.

"I'm going to call you Rigur, after your brother." Rimuru said.

"Whoa, thanks." Rigur smiled.

"Oh my, I can't believe my son has been allowed to inherit my other son's name." Rigurd said from the side.

"Thank you so much Lord Rimuru." Rigur and Rigurd said bowing on the ground.

'Japanese customs in this world. That is strange.' Kaen thought as Rigurd muttered something about being unworthy of Rimuru's kindness.

As the line continued, each of the goblins would get excited over the names they were given.

"Rimuru, these names aren't really that imaginative. But the goblins still seem to like them all the same. You look a little down." Kaen said.

"It's because these names aren't all that creative that I feel bad they're so happy about them." Rimuru said.

"Please, sir. I certainly don't want you to think we're ungrateful of the names you've given us." Rigurd said coming up behind them. "An' we're aware of how strong your magical power is, compared to ourselves, but are you sure it's wise to try and give everyone a name in just one sitting? Maybe Kaen or Mina could give you a break and take over."

"Well I don't see what the harm is in doing this now. Get it done I say." Rimuru exclaimed.

"Well as long as your certain then." Rigurd said.

"Who's next?" Rimuru asked, turning to the lineup of goblins, with one of the female goblins coming up and sitting in front of him. "You'll be, Haruna."

"Kay." She said cheerfully.

Not long after, the rest of the goblins got their names, and they were thrilled about them.

"Whew, that takes care of the goblins." Rimuru said. "Next up are the wolves."

"First is the son of the former Alpha." Kaen exclaimed, patting the bandages over his chest.

"Are you sure you don't want to eat a Senzu Bean to heal that up?" Mina asked.

"I'll be fine. I like to think of my scars as badges of honor from a fight." Kaen smiled.

"From now on, you'll be Ronga." Rimuru said, naming the Direwolf with the star on his forehead.

"Ronga." The wolf repeated.

"I guess the tail wage means he likes it." Rimuru said, before he felt his body beginning to melt. "Hey, what's with the egg mode all of a sudden?"

"Not good." Kaen said. "Mina…"

"On it." She said, running to the hut they were using and grabbing the empty suitcase for Kaen's costume. "Hang on Rimuru." She called out as she came running back with it.

~Three Days Later~

"Behold, I am recovered." Rimuru said, jumping back to life.

"Oh Lord Rimuru, you're finally awake." A Goblina with a E-Cup rack said bending over to look at him.

"That I am." Rimuru said, looking a little shocked to see her.

"You look like you're feeling much better, now." She said petting him on the head, before getting up and heading out. "Hold on, I'll go fetch Elder Rigurd for you."

"Who was that?" Rimuru questioned.

"That was Haruna." Rimuru turned to see Kaen sitting on the floor beside him, with a few new injuries that had been patched up while drinking a Rockstar Energy Drink. "When you named all the goblins in the village, their species evolved, because their ranks were raised. All the males are now Hobgoblins, and the females are now Goblinas." He explained. "Don't be surprised when you see Rigurd and Rigur."

"Lord Rimuru. I'm so happy that you've finally recovered." Rigurd said, coming into the hut.

"Rigurd hey, so…" Rimuru was stunned into silence as Rigurd now stood over seven feet tall, and was a hulking muscle bound Hobgoblin.

"Told you. Rigurd's so evolved, he's the reason I look like a patchwork mummy. He's crazy strong when helping me with my training." Kaen said, before he ducked to the side, evading the debri Ronga made when crashing through the wall.

"Master you're awake. Please allow me to express my utmost joy that you have finally returned." Ronga said, now looking way different with a horn on his forehead and bone like paddings on his legs.

"Same thing happened to Ronga, and the rest of the Direwolves got a minor evolution as well because of their pack connection, and are now the Tempest Wolves." Kaen explained.

Out in the open, the villagers were happy that Rimuru was finally awake, and Mina was beside Kaen as the rest of the villagers were throwing Rimuru up in the air in joy like a beach ball.

"Should we tell him about the situation the village is in?" Kaen questioned Mina.

"Let's wait until after the people calm down first." Mina said.

A short while later, after Kaen had managed to calm everyone down, he pulled Rimuru off to the side, where he brought up a problem within the village.

"Rimuru, we've got a problem. The village is lacking in three necessities to survive." Kaen exclaimed. "Food, shelter, and clothing. With the Direwolves help, the Hobgoblins will be able to handle hunting for food. But shelter and clothing aren't within any of our skill sets."

"I hear where you're coming from my man. So all we have to do is find some artisans to hire for a while." Rimuru said.

"I've already spoken to the Hobgoblins about that. There's the Kingdom of Dwargon about a three months travel by foot from here that we could go to. But with the Tempest Wolves as our steeds, we can make the journey in at least three days. Probably less if I were to just fly us there if I knew the general direction it was in." Kaen explained.

"Wow, you're really on top of things here." Rimuru said.

"Well, they did name me their Lord and Master, as well as leader of the village." Kaen said.

~Later As Everyone Was Gathered~

"Thank you all for meeting with us. I have something important I'd like to say." Kaen said.

"Now let's get a few things out of the way. First off, we're gonna set up some rules, that must be followed at all times, so please do your best to do so." Mina said. "That's your cue Hun."

"Ahem. Rule one, no attacking humans. Rule two, no fighting amongst yourselves. Third and final rule, no belittling other races. If you have a concern or inquiry about these rules, please come to us when we're available." Kaen said. "But since we're still in this meeting, we can answer a few right now."

"Sir?" Rigur asked, raising his hand.

"Question?" Kaen asked.

"Is there a reason why we're not allowed to attack the humans?" Rigur asked.

"How dare you question him." Rigurd said.

"Calm down Rigurd it's fine. I did say we could answer a few questions about the rules before getting down to actual business." Kaen said. "It's kinda simple. Though I'm not a human myself, I grew up around humans, and I was raised as one. So I have a bit of a sentimental spot for humans, and wish to be able to form a bond of mutual respect between humans and monsters."

"Okay then, makes perfect sense." Rigur said.

"Another thing to be concerned about is, humans tend to live in large groups, and if you mess with them, then they might retaliate against us, and that wouldn't bode well for the village, or the residents of it." Mina added. "If they were to come after us in earnest, I doubt Kaen and I would be able to protect all of you from them for too long if their numbers exceeded our own several times over, so it's best to not start any conflicts with them, which means getting along with humans is beneficial to us in multiple ways."

"Any other questions?" Kaen asked.

"Me." Gobta called out.

"Yes?"

"When you say don't, belittle other races, what's that mean?" Gobta questioned.

"Well, you've all gotten stronger by evolving into Hobgoblins and Goblinas, correct?" Kaen asked, to which all the gathered monsters nodded. "It means you shouldn't let that strength go to your head, and use it to bully those weaker than you. It's not fair to start thinking you're better than they are, because you've evolved. Besides, what if they got stronger one day, and chose to start bullying you to get some payback?"

"We understand you sir." Gobta said, the others agreeing with him.

"Okay, that's it." Kaen sighed. "Do your best, to follow those rules. An' one more thing. Elder Rigurd, I'd like for you to be in charge of everyone in this village while Rimuru is our primary physician, so you're the Goblin Lord."

'The Lord?' Rigurd questioned, a bolt of lightning running through him.

"Lead your village well." Kaen said.

"Yes, thank you my Lord and Lady." Rigurd said, kneeling to them.

"Also, Rimuru. If anyone else is to join our ranks, and they're a monster without a name, then it falls to your shoulders to give them a name should hey accept it." Kaen said. "Alright, now who knows the way to the Kingdom of Dwargon? Mina and I will be traveling there to see if we can't hire any artisans to help us improve our village."

"I do, I've been there a couple times." Gobta called raising his hand.

"Excellent, then you, me, Mina, and Rimuru are gonna make our way there, post haste." Kaen said. "You and Rimuru will take your Tempest Wolves, while Mina and I head there our own way. I'll be sure to travel at the same speed as your Tempest Wolves as to not get too far ahead, since I don't know where I'm going."

"Right." Gobta said. "Wait, so how are you gonna be getting there exactly?"

"Easy, I'll just fly." Kaen smiled, floating into the air, causing all the monsters to gasp in his glory and power. "Any other questions?" He asked dropping back to the ground. "If not then Gobta, you better go prepare for the journey ahead, and grab any goods you think should be traded while we're there."

"Kaen, I think their brains are still trying to process what they just saw you do." Mina chuckled. "You're gonna need to either snap Gobta out of it, or give him a minute for his brain to reboot."

"Guess we'll head out for Dwargon in the morning then." Kaen sighed.
