The Deep Ethereal was a realm where nobody would like to dwell there. A world filled of mist and mysteries. It was the real where those who had no memories or had no destiny to travel. The world was colourless landscape of the inner realms where those who reached could not be founded or rescued from.
Only those who had the destiny known to them or marked to their core, would escape this hell of loneliness.
And currently, an entity clad in the finest robes of materials unknown to any civilized society was floating in this mysterious realm of nothingness. His skeletal face was devoid of expressions. It was hard to tell what this undead Overlord was thinking right now.
"Where am I? Is it YGGDRASIL 2.O or something?"
His questions did not show any signs of panic, but rather the tone of curiosity. As he decided to test his powers, the great golden staff of untold powers shone with an unearthly horrifying aura.

.
It was last day of YGGDRASIL online. Many players including Momonga were awaiting for the shutdown of the game and sharing chats about how they would join the new online games of the market.
For the guildmaster of Ainz Ooal Gown, it was not the case.
Flying high in the cloudy sky of Grenbera Swamps, the undead archmage watched the fireworks he bought from the markets while feeling lonely in there. It was going to be the last day of the game where he wished to enjoy with his friends before saying goodbyes to the game. It turned out to be a rather sad and unexciting day of his life. His expectations were not met by the real life obligations of his guildmates.
And while the clock ticked to 12, he awaited for the forced log out from the game. Yet again, his expectations turned out false.
"Where am I? Is it YGGDRASIL 2.O or something?"
He asked in a confused tone. But then, his confusion was about to turn into panic, which instantly vanished into oblivion.
He tried various things, whether it was GM call or Menu bar, but none worked so far. He even attempted to use [Message] spell, but without his console, he had no idea about the working condition of his spell. Unfortunately, it did nothing much aside for making him feel constantly seeking something for connection.
Curious about his other spells, he used various spells in his arsenal. To his surprise, they worked well with slight differences. He decided to experiment more on this new discovery.
He even tried to use [Gate] spell in order to connect with the Nazarick, if it was possible at the first place, and even other worlds of YGGDRASIL. But nothing happened. While doing all of these experiments, he came up with some conclusions of his present situation.
That he was not in the purgatory or anything, otherwise he would have arrived here in his human body than his game avataar. It was pretty obvious to him that he had been transported to this world without his consent. The possibility of him being under the controls of the game developers by force was pretty smell. Unless they were ready to handle the Digital Act and did not mind if some the players were going to be the guineas pigs of their game.
Though that theory was highly unlikely, he would consider that being true. Just in case.
He cast the spell [Fly] and [Haste] to move around this foggy realm of no directions. And so, he moved around. From up to down, from left to right, from back to front and sometimes, he even used teleportation to run away from thus place. Alas, everything seemed exactly same. Had he been a normal person, he would have chosen death than wandering in this foggy world. And after few days, or months? He finally stopped at one place.
"Thus is not a normal place. Bit if this is truly a place where I can exist, then what about my summons? I should try them as well."
And with those words, he used undead creation skills to bring forth his undeads. Through his spells and skills, the empty world was getting some undead residents.
Skeletons, vampires, ghosts, wraiths, zombies and even some Elder Liches were summoned forth for reconnaissance. Another peculiar thing he notices that that his summons were not vanishing away even when their limited time period was surpassed.
It was an amazing discovery that he found about of this world. And yet, his delight extinguished at the idea of him being alone.
He spent a lot of time here, finding his way of this world through his summons and yet he failed miserably everytime. Being an undead, he was not afraid of being old or lacking any sort of supplies for sustenance. But after every failure, he was slowly losing any hope of escaping this white prison.
Clouds of colourless aura drifted and twisted in strange manners, he was getting bored of watching this entire scene for nth time.
"If my summons are useless, then what shall I do? I don't remember any spell to leave this place."
Disappointed at his endeavour, he skimmed through his list of spells that he had not used yet. He smiled amusingly at these spells, until his non-existemt eyes stuck at one spell.
"[Bless Of Titania, a 9th tier spell that takes a caster to the shortest route from any maze or trap. I wonder if it can work." He hoped it would.
"[Bless of Titania]"
The spell came into effect and a little fairy queen, even smaller than his palm, appeared in front of him. He did not apply any [Extend Magic] on this spell. The world itself turned her as a permanent entity. A sort of master-servant relationship felt through his mental link, just like how his other summons were connected to him through the same mental link.
He commanded her to help him to escape through this world. And while he was ready to take another negative result, the fairy queen nodded and then vanished.
Momonga blinked in surprise at what transpired before him. This was different than what he was assuming at first. He immediately summoned another Titania and thus time, he used his spell [Lopaided Duel].
This 3rd tier spell was useful when the player wanted to chase other players to their home. It was also kind of a risky spell to use. As it might summon him into the meeting place of enemy players, which might put him into an unforseeablatrouble. For that reason, he covered buttoned his robes, covered his hands with a pair of gauntlets and put the Mask of Envy on his face.
After confirming that his Aura skills, appearance and the divine tier concealment artifacts were in place, he used the [Bless of Titania] spell again and then, [Lopsided Duel]. To make sure he was not attacked by some unknown enemy, he buffed himself several times over. Despite his desperation for escape, he was not a fool who would skip the carefulness.
"Alright, take me out of this world."
And with that command, the fairly queen activated her racial [Planeshift] skill.
Phew, this took me a while. But I did it. Now, I will see your reviews of this DD crossfic with Momonga only.
I hope the pen and sword will publish his story as fast as possible. Over and out~.
