I only own my OCs, I do not own Tess, Bentley, Qwark, Carmelita, or any Van Helsing characters.

Van Helsing rode through the forest, with Taylor by his side, on the horse-drawn carriage, taking Frank and his cousins to Rome where they will be safe.

In the carriage, Frank grunts as he struggles out of his chains, with his cousin sitting on each side of him. Victoria then said, "Quit shaking, Frank, just enjoy the ride."

Frank ignores her, goes straight to Carl's face, and demands, "Let me go!"

Frightened, Carl then asked, "Where are you going to go? I don't know if you've looked in the mirror lately, but you can just stick out in the crowd."

Frank yells at that, causing Lupe to shake her head and say, "This is going to be a long trip, amigos."

The carriage continues through the forests and mountains all day until the night. Taylor soon thinking they were being watched. She then felt her goggles vibrating, and the diamond on her staff began to glow, she puts on her goggles, and begins to look to see the Future Vision.

She sees Verona looking into an empty falling carriage but was full of stakes and glycerine 48. She ditched it to get away, but it explodes, and stakes flew, hitting and causing her to turn to bones that fall into the fire.

Then the vision fades to black.

Taylor takes off her goggles, and Van Helsing asked, "A Future Vision?"

Taylor nodded, then said, "I have a feeling we're being followed."

"Yeah, I feel it too," Van Helsing said. He then ties the reins of the horses to the side and gets his crossbow ready.

He then hears a noise, points it towards it, but was caught. Taylor sees it was Verona. As he was carried away, Van Helsing grabs Verona's wing, causing them to fall a bit, but soon Verona lets go of Van Helsing, causing him to yell as he drops but grunts as he lands on the horses. He looks up ahead and sees a bridge that was out straight ahead.

Taylor then said as Van Helsing jumps back to the carriage, "Despite the problem up ahead, it seems our enemies might have taken a shortcut to head us off so they can-" Taylor looks around but soon sees something and shouts out, "Duck!"

Taylor did that, but Van Helsing didn't as Aleera screeches and charged at him, causing him to fall on the horses again.

Taylor soon heard the brides gasp at what is going to happen, then she decides to go into the carriage.

Inside she sees the horses jump and made it, taking Van Helsing with them. However, the carriage didn't make it, and begins to fall down the chasm. She hears the brides screaming, then heard Verona say, "We must not let those in that cart be destroyed!"

Taylor sees the brides dive down until they reach the carriage Verona near the door, but soon heard Aleera shout, "Save them! Save them all, especially the monster!" Taylor sees Aleera fly off, making her que to leave. She performed touched what she was standing with the diamond part of her staff, spun in a circle, and sunk down. Once Verona opened the door, she saw nothing in the carriage.

Taylor rose up where Van Helsing was, and they both see another carriage, driven by Anna with Tess on her shoulder. A carriage door opens and reveals Carl.

In what is now the decoy carriage, some cloaks rose up, and revealed Qwark, Bentley, and Carmelita. She then said, "A trap!" She screams to get away, but Bentley shoots her with his sleep dart. That caused her to quickly dose off and change into her human form. Carmelita takes her, then Bentley said, "We got the second bride, and she is now mortal, Shadow!"

"Okay, getting you three out of there," Shadow replied, then a portal opened, making Carmelita, Bentley, and Qwark with Verona in tow to get in just before the carriage hits the ground of the chasm, with less of an explosion though.

Taylor and Van Helsing eventually got close to the real carriage and jumped on. Taylor then said, "Well, if she fell for it, that's two brides down and one to go."

Tess smiled, but then noticed something and shouts, "Look out!"

Taylor, Anna, and Van Helsing looked and see Velkan charging and pouncing right in front of them. Taylor quickly ducked, while Anna and Tess went on right side, and Van Helsing the left, while Velkan hits a lanturn, causing the top of the carriage to catch on fire.

Inside the carriage, everyone was confused, until Anna shouts, "Carl!"

Carl looked at a window, seeing Anna and Tess hanging, causing him to say, "Oh, my gosh!"

"I have a feeling this might be my que," Lupe said.

Carl opened the door, and see the cliff in front of him, while Lupe got out and began to get to be underneath the carriage and turned into her werewolf form. Carl then asked the two, "What are you two doing out here?"

"Carl!" Tess said in annoyance.

"Right! Right! Don't let go!" Carl said, trying to help them along with Zandra.

Taylor noticed that Van Helsing was being dragged, but what he was holding onto was breaking, getting him close to the wheel of the carriage, causing Taylor to say, "Oh, that's going to hurt."

Know what Taylor meant, he pounds on the carriage and shouts, "Carl! Carl!" Seeing this, but knowing the friar was busy, Francine then said, "Frank and I can help!"

Zandra then asked, "You won't kill us?"

"Only if you and the friar don't hurry!" Frank replied, as he grabs his chains.

Van Helsing's hold soon broke, but just as he was going to be hit by the wheel, something grabbed him, it was Frank and Francine, who soon the former grabs him and puts him back on the coach seat. Carl and Zandra did the same for Anna and Tess, and all four closed the doors of the carriage satisfied that they saved Anna, Tess and Van Helsing. Soon Chiyo woke up, turned into her true form and said, "What a racket."

Finished this chapter. So now Verona is now mortal. But what will become of Velkan from all this? Anyway, if you're reading this, thanks for reading.
