Chapter Three

The Darcy Manor.

At the same time.

"Well, if the infant's going to be nursed, we will have to find him a wet nurse. Otherwise, how will he be able to alive if he's not?" One of the ladies inquired.

At the same time Lizzy was occupied with the gardener, Fitzwilliam was with one of the older women of the Darcy staff. As it was mentioned, their house keeper was retiring and Fitzwilliam was praying they would find a replacement for her. He also knew the infant needed care and he wasn't one to let this matter be. He was with a few of the women servants and thankful they knew how to tend to a baby, Fitzwilliam watched as he looked at infant.

He was firm and yes; he displayed features of one who knew what he was doing. Fitzwilliam remembered how Newman informed him about the letter and it was written to him. Fitzwilliam read it not too long ago and he felt shivers run down his back. He shuddered when he recalled how the person wrote it.

"Mr. Darcy? The best advice I can give is we find a wet nurse for him." The feminine voice interrupted.

Fitzwilliam turned and when he looked at the lady, she was holding the infant in her arms. Fitzwilliam noticed he was calm but the lady's words entered his being. He knew she was right but then a thought entered. Placing his hands on his hips, he looked at the infant for a moment; then he answered. "Well there was something else to him; recall that…"

He wasn't able to finish when the door to the entrance opened. Both watched as the figure entered. When Fitzwilliam looked, he realized he was Newman; his brother had a way of appearing when something eventful occurred. Fitzwilliam kept his calm as Newman entered; he guessed something hadn't gone well at work. Newman entered and after he brushed dust from his top, he looked at them. His brows raised before he

said.

"Did I miss something?"

"No." Fitzwilliam responded.

He placed his hands on his hips and looked at his brother. One thing he knew about Newman was he was clever but a bit clumsy too. "I do have news." Newman answered.

Fitzwilliam and the lady looked at him when this was mentioned. Fitzwilliam knew Newman was also working for Papa's family business and today was his first day. From what Fitzwilliam was observing, Newman wanted to say something else and he wondered if it was relevant to what they were talking about. He waited before Newman replied.

"I will be hiring Miss Martha Vitals as our house keeper."
