Crazy trouble with love part 10

Prim and Chopper

Drum island, the snowy, quiet island was relatively normal compared to the other islands in the grand line. One would almost call it boring if not for the small fact that it boasted some of the best trained doctors in the world. Even under the inept rule of Wapol this cold island still managed to maintain this dignified reputation.

A reputation mind you that had piqued the curiosity of a daughter to one of the very Yonko that were widely respected, and feared. Sailing on a strange ship that looked like a pastry, that daughter was entering this icy island's waters. She was checking the map in her private cabin, looking pleased while rubbing her hands together.

"Yes…yes… finally, I'll be at the island of doctors, I'll be able to learn under them!" She muttered to herself eagerly. "With their techniques, I'll be the greatest doctor under mama, and I could probably learn some hidden secrets my siblings never expected. Ha, that'll put me on even ground without the need of a devil fruit." She smirked as she looked over the map and notes. "I'll be the greatest doctor and scientist, and maybe I'll even learn how to cure mama of her hunger pains!" She declared before a knock on her cabin door shook her out of her musings.

"Madame Prim, we're reaching the shore, are you ready ma'am?" came a chess soldier's voice.

"I've never been more ready." she chuckled, moving to the door and coming out, having to lean down as she came out and rose up. She was a woman who had tan skin and blue eyes. The lower part of her body consisted of eight pink octopus legs. Above her legs, she wore a low-cut dark red dress, and had light blonde hair fashioned into a cylindrical shape at the front. "I can't wait to get my hands on all that knowledge." She smirked as she made her way out onto the deck only to freeze as she opened the door, an icy wind hitting her head on. "C-Cold!"

Instantly her skin and legs all tensed up and started shivering, the cold reaching her bones as the island was coming into view with all the soldiers decked out in winter attire and unaffected. "W-Why didn't you tell me it was this cold out?!"

"You didn't ask ma'am. We have your luggage on the shore as you instructed us to do before we left Totto land, are you ready to leave now ma'am?" A rook asked, his face barely visible behind a warm scarf. "We do have a schedule to keep, Mama ordered us to stop by Little Garden and see if we could capture a few dinosaurs."

She gritted her teeth and shook her head. "I-I-Idiot! We just got here! I'm n-n-not going to l-l-leave without jack squat!"

"You aren't, you have your luggage, see?" He said, pointing towards a large pile of suitcases, crates and other odds and ends stacked in the snow at the end of a ramp connected to the ship. "I'm sorry ma'am. However, you knew this is a winter island, you knew that when we were preparing to leave, and we don't have any clothes your size that you yourself didn't bring."

'D-D-Damn it!' she thought, wanting to snap back, but given her excitement to head out, she…might have overlooked some essentials, for good reason! "I-I-I-I'm NOT leaving! N-Not until I learn what I came for!"

"Well we are ma'am, we have our orders from Big Mom, so either you leave the ship now or you come with us. We'll pick you up again when you call, or in a few years like you planned." the chess piece said, making her pale.

"N-No, damn it, I was only a-able to convince Mama to l-l-let me come because you would be able to get her those s-stupid dinosaurs after you dropped me off!"

"We can't go against what she wants ma'am." He remarked as Prim glared at him. "I'd recommend going now, it's only going to get colder the longer you stay here arguing with us."

She felt her lip twitch as she raised a tentacle up, the others tensing up in worry. She glared harder at the man before slamming her leg down on the deck and walked past him. "I-I-I can bear with this cold on m-m-my own…"

"Glad to hear so ma'am, enjoy your stay at Drum island." The chess soldier saluted as Prim just grumbled to herself in annoyance.

'I'll worry about that later.' she thought, moving down the ramp and looking down at the cold snow. Bracing herself, she stepped her first leg on it, and nearly let out a cry at how cool it felt. 'How can anyone live like this?!' She thought as she hesitantly moved forward, wincing as her bare tentacles impacted the snow, sending shivers up her spine. The ramp rose up behind her as she turned and watched the ship start sailing away. 'Assholes…' She thought, using several of her tentacles to pick up her luggage. 'Ok, this is fine, I just need to find somewhere warm, there has to be a town nearby, right?'

With that she began to carry/drag her cases across the snow, keeping her eyes peeled around the snowy landscape, telling herself to ignore the cool wind. 'This is just a minor setback, it'll all be worth it once I find some doctors, then my studying can begin, and more importantly I can find something warm to wear!'

With her goal in mind, it helped her as she looked all around for any sign of buildings or people, but all she saw was endless snow the farther she moved inland.

'C'mon, where is it?!' She thought in frustration, ignoring how cold she felt. 'Does no one live on this fucking island?!'

The more she walked, the more her legs started to slowly stiffen up, making her nearly trip a few times while grunting given how awkward it was to lug all her stuff at the same time as resisting the frigid air. "J-Just a bit longer…" She shivered, her skin starting to turn slightly blue as she tried to trudge forward. "I…will not….be defeated… by the cold…"

However, one leg tripped over a rock buried in the snow, making her yelp as she fell down. Leading to her face and front getting hit by the powder and making her body shiver harder. She groaned as she tried to stand back up, but her arms felt weak as she felt her energy being sapped by the cold. "N-N-N-No….not like this….p-p-p-please!" She groaned, her eyelids beginning to feel heavy. "I can't…die like this….I'm one…of mama's daughters…I can't f-f-freeze….like this…."

As she thought to retain consciousness she began to make out a blurry figure making their way towards her, but before she could see them clearly her body finally gave out, and all she saw was black as she passed out.

(Later, elsewhere)

Prim groaned as her eyes began to slowly open, her entire body feeling numb and sore, yet she felt something heavy atop her. As she began to open her eyes, she saw she was in a large cave, yet her large size occupied a large portion of it, and covering her were numerous large blankets. She noted her body was warmer than before and her limbs felt less numb than before. She racked her brain as she looked around, trying to remember the last things that happened to her, yet all she could recall was passing out in the cold and a blurry figure approaching her.

'Someone must have found me.' she thought, trying to sit up with a groan. 'To think I'd go and do something so stupid like walking in the cold without cover. I shouldn't have gotten so excited or else I would have remembered the damn winter gear!' She thought, holding her head in embarrassment and frustration. As she did that she looked around once more, trying to figure out where she was when she saw something strange. Standing at the entrance to the large room she was in was a strange brown furred creature with a pink hat that was staring at her, looking like it was trying to hide as it spied on her, except it had messed up and was mostly exposed in the doorway rather than hidden.

Both of them were silent as they shared a look before the creature darted out of sight, making Prim blink and rub her eyes.

'Did I…Did I just see something? Or am I too tired and my mind is playing tricks?' She thought as she rubbed her eyes and looked again, only to see the creature peeking out from behind a wall, staring at her curiously once again. "Hello?"

"S-Shut up! Lady!" it let out, making Prim's eyes widen.

"You can talk!" she let out louder than expected, causing the creature to yelp and jump back around the corner. "No, wait, come back! Where am I?!" She called, trying to get up only to groan as she felt sore. 'What is a mink doing here?!'

The creature peeked back around with a frown without moving closer. "How's your body feeling?"

"Sore and cold. Did you bring me here?" She asked, lying back, and noting there were several large blankets beneath her as well, with her vaguely realizing it would have been unlikely for this creature to have had a bed her size readily available.

"Maybe….. I have some soup I need to bring you." it said, eyeing her nervously as it reached somewhere out of her line of sight and pulled a cart with a large bowl of soup atop it. It pushed it towards her, keeping its eyes on her before stepping back. "You need to warm your body from the inside if you want to get your body temperature stable again."

"Right, thank you… say, where did you hear that? Do you know a doctor?" She asked as she reached out and picked up the soup. As she did so she began to realize something she hadn't before, that she could feel the warm blankets atop her all over, something that shouldn't be possible unless she was… 'Am I naked?' she thought, lifting up one of the blankets to take a look, determined to know for sure before freaking out.

"Yeah, I am one! Or….uh… a doctor in learning." he answered before seeing her let out a yelp and jump, making him back up quickly.

"W-W-Where are my clothes?!" She cried out, trying not to spill her soup as she looked around frantically, feeling nervous about her position once more. She was in a strange cave, talking to a strange creature and she was naked!

"I-I uh… Doctorine said we had to remove them from you or you'd die, that you couldn't get warm while wearing wet clothes…" He said nervously, backing up fearfully. "They're being dried right now…"

"Oh…" Prim responded, vaguely remembering that she'd read that the proper procedure for cold exposure aligned exactly with what the small creature had said. "I….right, I apologize… I'm sorry, who are you? Did you bring me here?"

"Yes. I found you passed out in the snow. What were you doing out there without any covering?!" he snapped while waving his arms around. "You came close to catching hypothermia, or worse!"

"S-Shut up, it's not like I meant to get sick!" She groaned. "I came here looking to learn how to be a better doctor! I heard this was the island of doctors, so of course I came here!"

"In a dress?!" He cried out, becoming more bold as he stared at her in confusion. "You didn't even have a coat on!"

"I was excited!" she snapped back before taking a swig of the soup, humming before stopping and groaned at the bitter taste, but felt her body start heating up right away. "This soup tastes awful."

"Hey! It's suppose to help you!"

"I know! I don't want it to taste sweet or good! If it tastes like this then you must have some grade-A ingredients used to fight off antibodies, right? If it helps me feel better I can endure the taste, not like some of my siblings…" she grumbled.

"Right… the Doctorine made it herself, she grumbled about how she had to make more just for you given your size. She's busy looking through your luggage you were dragging, she said something about claiming it for payment for keeping you alive."

"Payment?!" Prim went wide eyed. "I didn't ask to get help you know!"

"What was I supposed to do, leave you to die?! Doctorine said you should do what you can for people then fleece them once they're healthy!" Chopper protested.

"What kind of rule is this?! I don't even know who you or this Doctorine is!" she threw back before hearing footsteps as a new figure walked into view outside the room.

"That'd be me missy. Sounds like you're alive, you're welcome." they smirked, shown as a rather elderly woman by her face alone, but the rest of her appearance said otherwise. She had

a slender build that made her look like she was in her prime with long hair that went down behind her in waves colored a faded blonde, going onto grey. She was dressed in a style more suited to women younger than her. This included a navel ring, a shirt that bared her midriff, a purple blazer and purple low-riding pants. She had a pair of small sunglasses that went over her eyes. She was wearing a bracelet and a few rings on her left hand. She also wore a pair of pants with a pink design on the left leg and a blazer with a yellow line along the shoulders and down each arm. She wore a white shirt with a pink cherry blossom on the front and green sleeves and borders, all in all locking every bit not the person Prim was expecting to be the 'Doctorine', yet she recognized her face right away as one she'd researched before coming to this island.

"You…. You're Kureha! You're the Doctorine?!" Prim cried out in shock. Before her was a living legend, she'd only heard rumors of the doctor who could cure a thousand ailments. She'd expected she'd have to spend a month or two on Drum searching for her before she managed to locate her.

"You know me." remarked the woman in amusement as Prim nodded her head and set the soup down.

"Of course! You're one of the most well known doctors! Second only to Dr. Hiriluk!" she replied, the small creature looking down at the name as Prim smiled. "I came here all the way from the New World because I wanted to learn more about medicine from the doctors here!"

"Eh? News of that quack has reached the New World, huh?" Kureha chuckled. "Well I gotta say, you're simultaneously the luckiest and most ill informed potential student I've had crawl their way here to learn my secrets." She chuckled as Prim looked at her in confusion.

"What do you mean by that?"

"Well, lucky in the sense my student Chopper here found you before you died, and ill informed as in you don't know what's happened here, doctors are scarce in Drum nowadays." she replied while taking a sip from a bottle she pulled out from her pocket. "All thanks to that joke of a king Wapol."

"Huh? Wapol?"

"A few years ago he declared that the twenty best doctors in Drum can only serve the king, and he outlawed and banished any other doctors who weren't working for him." Chopper chipped in, looking down in frustration. "Doctorine is the only one left on Drum who isn't under his control."

"You're kidding?!" Prim cried out in shock and disbelief.

"Nope, Chopper here is dead serious. Like I said before, you're insanely lucky we found you first, you literally stumbled into the only doctor left on Drum. Too bad I'm not taking any more students." Kureha cackled with a grin.

"You have to!" she stood up while pushing the sheets off, only to grunt and let out a yelp as she fell over the side and landed on her face with a crash. "Ow…"

"Your body is still recovering. Push yourself and I'll have to strap you to the bed until you're all better." Kureha sighed as Prim just groaned.

"Please…teach me!" She looked up to the woman. "I came all this way, froze my legs off, and nearly died! I need to learn more from one of the best!"

"What does that have to do with me? Why should I be responsible for your foolish decisions?" Kureha asked with a raised brow. "Chopper, get her back on the bed, then let's go, we need to prepare her medicine."

"I-I can pay you!"

"The luggage you have will do for our services." Kureha grinned.

"I have more! Consider it a down payment! My mother is Big Mom, I can arrange for the rest of your payment when my lessons are done!" She groaned. "Money, rare medicine, booze, anything you want, I could even arrange transport for you to leave the island if you want!"

Kureha stared at her in silence before turning her head and took another swig. "Chopper, make sure she gets enough rest. If she pushes herself, call me."

"Right." He nodded as the older woman walked off, turning to Prim who slapped the floor.

"Oooh, I'm serious! I want to learn! What's so wrong about that!?"

"You have to prove yourself, I think." Chopper suggested as he approached her, instantly growing in size until he was four times his original size, looking more like a large gorilla, making Prim's eyes widen. "Here, let me help you get back into bed…a-and please, be careful next time, you're not….fully dressed, remember?"

Prim was too distracted by the sudden change to hear the last part before pointing at him. "Wait! How did you do that? Are you some rare species of reindeer that can talk and change shape?!"

"No, I'm just a reindeer!" He protested, grunting a bit as he managed to push her back onto the makeshift bed, and began to put the blankets back atop her. "I just… ate a devil fruit, the only thing abnormal about me is my blue nose."

"Devil fruit?" she muttered, watching him shrink back down. 'I've never seen an animal change with one. Which makes him one of a kind. Mama would go nuts to have him in her collection.' She thought before shaking her head slightly. 'No, clearly he is valued by Kureha, I can't even think of stealing him away for Mama until I get her to teach me everything she knows! I will learn from her damn it!'

Chopper poked his hooves, looking away nervously as Prim looked at him. "Uh…I….I'll leave you to get some rest."

"I….ok, but this isn't over, I will learn from Kureha, I will be a doctor!" Prim promised. 'I just have to figure out how to get on her good side…'

Chopper took the cart and bowl out, relieved a little that the talk didn't devolve into something like terrified comments or angry remarks. Honestly the fact she wasn't a human was more curious since he had never seen someone with octopus legs. 'I wonder…. Have people looked at her like they have me, like a monster?' He thought as he wheeled the cart and bowl back to the kitchen.

"So Chopper, what do you think?" Came a familiar voice came from behind, making him pause and turn to see Kureha standing at the entrance of one of the other caverns/rooms.

"She's….different." he remarked, the first thing to come to mind. "Doctorine, do you know why she has those legs?"

"She's a mermaid Chopper, an octopus mermaid I'd wager." Kureha sighed. "This world is filled with so many strange people and species, none of which exist on this island. I was planning on teaching you about the different species in a few months." She remarked with a sigh. "The problem with her however isn't her species, but her family. Big Mom, that isn't a name I thought I'd hear this far from the new world…"

"Who is Big Mom?"

"She's a pirate, a very powerful one in the second half of the grand line, she's…. Well, let's just say we don't want to make her mad. She's infamous for having a large family, with different species of humans and non-humans in it." She remarked with a sigh. "I don't know what to do with her, on one hand I'd rather not be on a Yonko's bad side, but on the other I'm not going to teach some snot nosed spoiled brat just because of her parents."

"If she came all this way to learn, is that a bad thing?"

"I don't know, but I do have a plan." She grinned, taking a swig before patting Chopper on his head. "You're going to look after her, it'll help you get experience dealing with non-humans, and you can learn more about what she's actually like, and tell me if she's serious about wanting to learn." She grinned as Chopper paled.

"M-M-M-Me?!" he let out, waving his hooves up. "I can't do that!"

"Sure you can, I just told you to. Until I say otherwise you're practically gonna live in that room with her!" She cackled with a grin. 'Ideally this will also help him get out of his shell as well. The fact she isn't human might be a good stepping stone to interacting with other people.'

"B-B-But I-"

"No buts, now get back in there and be a good doctor." She grinned, lightly pushing Chopper back to Prim's room. "I'll be in my room going over Prim's payment. If we're lucky and she's not a fool she might have brought something good with her, so we might be getting some new books."

The reindeer reluctantly made his way back to the mermaid, who had gone ahead and wrapped herself up with the sheets, trying to contain her body heat as best as possible. 'Ok… I just have to keep an eye on her…. This won't be so bad, right?'

"Hello?" Prim called from beneath the covers, hearing someone approaching her.

"H-Hello." Chopper stammered. "I'll uh… be looking after you, ok? If you need anything feel free to ask, ok?" He got out as she poked her head out to stare at him.

"Well…do you have any medical books I can look at?" She asked cautiously, making him perk up. "I'd rather stay up to date, and I'm hoping you might have some I haven't read yet?"

"Sure! I'll go get them! Though… they may be a bit small for you." He remarked, turning to go get his books.

"That'll work." She smiled as he ran out of the room. 'If this really is Kureha then I'd wager she has some high quality books! If she refuses to teach me then I refuse to leave this place without learning anything!'

In no time flat, Chopper managed to rush back carrying several books in his arms, panting as soon as he came back. "G-Got them! I grabbed some on general ailments, some on rare diseases, others on special surgery procedures, do any of these seem interesting?"

"The rare diseases please." she reached out as he handed her the book and flipped it open with one hand, but looking at the pages made her sweatdrop. 'Wow, they really are too small. Damn it! Being this big is a pain sometimes.'

"Um…. do you want some help?" Chopper asked, seeing how she was struggling to hold the relatively small book in her hands.

"...maybe a little." She groaned, handing him the book back. "Could you hold it open or….um…. O-out of curiosity would you be comfortable…reading it to me?" She asked, her face heating up. 'Ugh, I feel like a kid asking someone to read me a story before bed!'

"Sure thing." He smiled, taking the book and sitting down near her bed. "Chapter one, rare diseases from the south blue and how to identify them."

Prim smiled and listened closely as Chopper started to read the chapter to her. He began to relax as he took comfort in something he knew, something familiar as he read, with Prim happy to be able to learn despite everything that had happened. Unknown to either of them, Kureha was watching from the entrance to the room, a small grin on her face.

'Let's see if this girl is honest, or if she's up to no good.' She thought with a small smirk. 'If she's here to honestly learn, then she'll prove it, and to sweeten the deal I'll tempt her with Chopper, I know Big Mom has crazy habits, including collecting different species. If she tries anything she won't leave this island alive, no one hurts my son, no one.'

(Timeskip)

Prim hummed, sitting at a desk while in her clothes again, but with a blanket draped over her shoulders as she was reading one of the medical journals with a magnifying glass. "Oh! So that's how you use the herbs. Can't believe I overlooked that."

"Everyone thinks the way forward is with chemicals and science, but everyone forgets the healing property of herbs." Chopper smiled from his own desk, that was atop hers on one corner.

"Yes, well the way forward is with science, but I suppose it can't hurt to incorporate more herbs, huh?" Prim remarked with a sigh. "However I'm sure if this was more widespread I'd have known it by now!"

"Uh-huh, sure." Chopper grinned. 'I'm glad she's up and moving again, having someone besides the Doctorine to study with is fun!' He smiled before pausing. "Hey…. Prim? Are….are you really a pirate?"

"Yes, why?" she asked without looking up from the book.

"I….I never met a real pirate before." He admitted quietly. "You're…not what I expected."

"What were you expecting?" she asked, looking up at him. "Wait, let me guess. You thought I was one of those kind who go around taking everything they want and doing whatever they feel like, right?"

"Not quite, um…. Its…well the Doctor told me that pirates were brave swashbucklers who roamed the seas for adventure, that they were the bravest people in the world, and…." He trailed off, looking nervous and awkward. "F-Forget about it, sorry."

Prim raised an eyebrow as the reindeer quickly turned back to his own book. "No, no, go back, what exactly does that mean? Do you think I'm not brave, or strong enough to be a pirate?"

"No, I uh…. It's hard to imagine you as one? J-Just forget about it, sorry!" he stammered while hiding his face behind the book, making Prim puff out her cheeks.

"Hey now, I'm a proud member of the Big Mom pirates, I'm a very strong pirate!" She argued, putting her book down.

"I uh….. Well…. It's just kinda hard to see, you don't look like a pirate…. And it's kind of hard to picture you as one since I found you passed out in the snow…" Chopper remarked, feeling nervous as she focused fully on him.

"Hey! That doesn't mean I can't take care of myself! Anyone can get cold and nearly freeze! It…just hits harder when you're a mermaid…" She protested, her face heating up in embarrassment. "Besides, I'm almost better now, I bet I could show you just how strong I am and what a great pirate I was if Kureha hadn't threatened to tie me to the bed if I exerted myself too much!"

"She only did that because she doesn't want you to get hurt." Chopper added. "Besides, I think if things keep improving you'll be perfectly healthy tomorrow, or at least in another two days, tops." He added, making Prim pause.

"Wait…really? That….. Shit, that's bad!"

"Huh? Why?"

"Because the second I'm healthy Kureha is probably going to kick me out, I came here to study under her, but she hasn't agreed to let me stay yet!" Prim groaned.

Chopper's eyes widened as it clicked with Prim facepalming. "Oh…Oh!"

"Damn it! Damn it damn it damn it! I come all the way here to learn, only to nearly get frozen and spend time recovering, and then probably get kicked out to go back home with jack shit!" She groaned as she rested her head on the desk in defeat. "My ship probably won't even be here by the time I get kicked out, I don't have money to rent a place in one of the towns here, what am I going to do?" She groaned as Chopper froze.

"Y-You can't go to the towns on this island! They're bad news!"

"Huh? How?" she turned to him confused.

"They… they don't like strange stuff…" Chopper said quietly, turning away. "I only ever go with Doctorine, because she keeps them in line when we're there, and only ever in walk point."

Prim looked at Chopper, before her eyes widened and it clicked. "Oh…I'm sorry Chopper." She said, gently reaching out to pat him on the back softly, taking care due to her hand being about the size of the small hybrid.

Chopper momentarily froze up, feeling her hand brush against his back, but stayed still and didn't shy away as she tried to be as gentle as possible. "T-Thank you."

"I…. I'm sorry. I'm so used to Totto land, the place in the grand line where my mother rules, that every species lives together in harmony from fish people to humans to long leg tribe members to even minks that I sometimes forget that the rest of the world isn't like that."

"Sounds like quite the place." Came a voice from behind them, making them quickly turn to see Kureha leaning against the doorframe, a bottle of plum wine in one hand.

"Oh!" both jolted, Prim stopping and pulling her hand back from Chopper. "Uh, how long have you been standing there?"

"Long enough. So, Prim, how serious are you, and how much are you willing to offer me? My services don't come cheap." questioned the older woman with Prim perking up.

"Wait, you mean you'll let me stay?"

"I didn't say that, I asked how serious you were and how much you were offering. If you impress me, then I suppose it couldn't hurt to keep you around." She laughed with a grin. "You got one shot, don't mess it up." She said before pausing. "That reminds me, you also have to help us move."

"Move?"

"Yeah, we need to move into a castle that'll make living on this island easier, especially with that idiot Wapol long gone. Idiot booked it when a pirate attacked while you were passed out. We can't exactly house you in Hiriluk's old place for a long period of time."

Prim frowned hearing that, but shook her head. "Ok, I'll help move. As for payment, well that depends, how much do you think is a lot? Whatever it is, I can pay double, but it'd take some time getting delivered here." Prim remarked carefully. "As for my dedication? I'm willing to stay and earn my keep for years if I have to. I'll read everything you give me, do everything you ask me to do, no question! I want to learn, no, I NEED to learn from the best, and I will become the best doctor I can be!"

"... Well, I was gonna demand 5 million per month, but if you think doubling that is fine that'll do, you think you can handle that?" Kureha grinned. "I'll take that in cash, supplies, or rare medical tomes, as long as you pay, you can stay, HOWEVER!" She said, raising up a finger. "If I ever think you're half-assing this, or being lazy, or being negligent you're out of here, got it?"

"You've got yourself a deal!" Prim grinned, quickly reaching down to shake her hand, which the Doctor accepted with a grin.

"Good, glad to hear, your lessons begin tomorrow. I just hope you can hold a candle to what Chopper has been able to accomplish so far." She grinned as Prim paused. 'Now to make them a bit competitive, nothing makes people better like trying to one up someone else!'

'What he's accomplished?' thought Prim as Kureha walked out, making her turn to the reindeer who looked at her with wide eyes.

"D-Don't worry about what she said, I-I haven't done anything THAT impressive!" He stammered quickly. 'Wow! She actually let her stay!'

"Uh-huh….. So what have you done? She doesn't seem like the type to throw around lies." She remarked before shaking her head. "No, wait, forget it, we can worry about that later, we need to celebrate, I get to stay!"

"Yeah, that's great!" he cheered, sighing internally while smiling. "I don't know what we could do to celebrate though."

"Weeeeeell…. I did pack some bottles of some good booze with me before I came to this island, maybe we could grab one and have a few drinks?" Prim grinned.

"Well, I've never really had alcohol before. Doctorine says I'm too young." Chopper admitted.

"Nah, you're old enough, you told me you were old enough to be a 'man' before, remember?" She grinned. "Besides, we'll just have one drink, nothing bad will happen."

Chopper rubbed his hooves together and looked up in thought. "I'm not sure…"

"Well I'm going to have a drink, you can decide to have one or not then, sound good?" She grinned as she went off to 'liberate' one of her bottles from Kureha, leaving Chopper alone.

'Wow, I can't believe she's actually going to be staying with us… this is gonna be so strange, it's always just been me and the doctor, or just Doctorine.' thought Chopper who felt confused. Not scared, mostly unsure given how Prim so far was far nicer than the other humans, and reindeer. 'She doesn't even see me as a monster… at least not yet, I just hope that doesn't change.' he thought before remembering what Doctorine had hinted at. 'I hope she doesn't see me use my rumble balls, those aren't normal from what Doctorine told me, I don't want her to think I'm weird for making them… that and they're not done yet.' he thought before the octopus mermaid burst back into the room, a large bottle in her hands.

"I got it!" She grinned, two large cups in her tentacles as she put them on the table in front of Chopper. "I made sure to grab you one, just in case you decide to try it." She grinned as she began to open the bottle.

Chopper wanted to reassure her he wouldn't need it, but kept quiet and watched as she filled up her cup and gulped it down before letting out a hiss with a grin.

"Oh yeah, that's the good stuff, some of big brother Zuccotto's brew! You sure you don't want a taste Chopper? It's really sweet." She said, pouring herself another glass before pouring a little bit in the second cup before he could respond.

"...Sweet?"

"Yeah, it's got a nice kick to it without tasting too bitter." She smiled. "I'd recommend taking a sip, I'm not sure how much of this will be left by the time I'm done." She chuckled as she began to down her second glass.

Chopper looked at his cup then back at her; his interest slowly piqued as she seemed to be enjoying it more than he imagined. 'Maybe… a small taste couldn't hurt? What's the worst that could happen?'

"Ahhh~"

"Uh…I'll take some." He said as she grinned and pushed the second glass towards him, making him gulp as he saw it was almost as tall as he was.

"You might wanna get bigger for this one Chopper." She giggled with a small hiccup. "Your little body might not store it all."

"I-I'm just taking a sip!" He protested, even as he made himself larger. 'Well… heres goes nothing.' he lifted it up to his face slowly, closing his eyes as he tilted it back and let some enter his mouth before his eyes widened at the sweet taste. It tasted nothing like how he'd expected, he quickly began to drink the rest, all he could think about was how it felt like he was drinking a tasty fruit drink rather than something alcoholic.

"Sooooo? You like?" She grinned as he nodded, holding up the empty glass with a grin.

"Yeah, that was great!"

"Want another?" She asked, holding the large bottle up with a smug grin.

"Yeah!" he said as she poured him another drink. 'No wonder Doctorine is always drinking!'

(Later)

"Zzzzz…zzzzz….zzzzz…." Came a rhythmic breathing as Chopper let out a small groan, the last bits of sleep escaping him as he felt a large headache.

'Ow…ow…why does my head hurt so much?' He thought as he started to crack his eyes open. 'And…what happened? Last thing I remember was having another drink with Prim.'

He slowly sat up and rubbed his eyes, letting out a yawn as the breathing beside him confused the reindeer hybrid. He turned and his eyes widened in surprise as he saw Prim's sleeping face inches away from him. He also noticed that her arm was loosely around the area he had been laying, though it wasn't quite touching him. 'Did we pass out in her room? Was I trying to help her get to bed?'

"Zzzzz….mmm…zzz…."

'I should probably go, the last thing I want is to wake her up, if my headache is bad hers is worse.' He thought, trying to stand up, but he found it harder than usual, as if everything was sore, and his body was demanding he just lay down. 'Ugh…..why is this happening? Is this a hangover?!'

He felt his head pound harder when he tried to exert himself. Chopper groaned as he tried to be as delicate as possible, the task made harder by Prim starting to shift in her sleep. His eyes widened as her arm reached out, as if she was looking for something. It came down around him and pulled him closer to the unconscious woman. He blushed as she held him close, lightly pressing him against her chest as she mumbled in her sleep. 'Nooooo, no no no, she's going to be so mad when she wakes up! And…. oh no, what if Doctorine finds me like this?! She'll laugh at me!'

Ignoring the pounding headache, he tried to shift back, but the position made it hard given her breasts pressed against both sides of his face. 'Why does she have to be so big?! If I can't get free…maybe she won't notice me?' He thought nervously, trying to get free, but at the same time fighting the urge to just give up and go back to sleep.

Prim grumbled to herself as she began to slowly open her eyes. "Ugh…. damn that was a fun night…." She groaned as she began to sit up. As she moved, she felt something soft and heavy on her chest. She looked down in confusion, expecting to see a blanket that had lodged itself there last night, only to see a very nervous Chopper looking back up at her. "Huh? Chopper?"

"Uh…m-morning?" He let out nervously. "What uh… is up?"

"Apparently you." She said, her face a bit red as she reached down and picked him up with two fingers. "Please tell me you didn't mean to be there, I'd hate to lose my new study companion."

"I-It was an accident!" he cried out in a panic. "I-I-I just woke up beside you, that's all!"

"Promise?" She asked, narrowing her eyes. 'We did get shitfaced last night….maybe it really was an accident?'

"Promise!"

"Hmmm…. Fine, but you can't tell Kureha anything, got it?" She said as she began to lower him to the ground.

"Yes ma'am." he nodded, sighing in relief before wincing and rubbing his head. "Ow…no more booze."

"Agreed." Prim nodded. 'At least no more for him.'

"Chopper? Prim? Where are you two, we got work to do!" came Kureha's voice, making Chopper jump.

"C-Coming!" he called, running to the door and rushing out, not wanting the woman to find the two of them in the room at the moment.

"I'm on my way!" Prim called, following Chopper. 'I hope she doesn't notice we're hung over, I want my first day as a real student to go well!'

(Later)

We find the two in the middle of the library, looking in several books and having an intense look in their eyes.

"So, Chopper, can you tell me what herbs are needed to cure a high fever?" Prim asked, looking up from her book.

"Nice try, we both know that elderflower and yarrow mixed together are the best way to treat a fever, but to properly cure the patient I need to know what is wrong with them in the first place." he replied before looking up from his own. "True or false, you should always use hot water for frostbite."

"False, using hot water would just cause burns. You need to gradually raise the temperature up with warm water at first to help the blood circulate." She said with a smug grin. "Something I don't believe you or Kureha did when you found me."

"...not quite, but we did treat the areas that had early signs of frostbite." Chopper said with a small frown. 'I don't think she'd want to know that the Doctor and I had to scrub her while she was out cold….and naked.' He thought as his cheeks heated up at the memory.

"Uh-huh, sure." She said before perking up. "Tell me, how would you treat a fishman who was suffering from a case of fin rot?"

"First I'd make sure there were no gaping wounds or lesions that have dirt on them since the bacteria would come into the body through them. If there were, I'd clean and sanitize them thoroughly to kill any remains of bacteria on the outside before giving them the proper antibiotics. Which would need to be used using specific ingredients that a fishman's body can accept since the ones for people are a different kind. Then I'd make sure they were properly fed and hydrated to keep their strength up. If the fins stop deteriorating and start growing, then it shows they're cured."

"Not bad… tell me, what if they need a blood transfusion, what kind of blood would you use?" Prim asked, trying her best not to smirk. 'I got him this time!'

"Hey, it was my turn!" Chopper protested before sighing. "Well, I guess I'd just get his blood type, human and fishman blood are essentially the same so I'll just find the closest match."

"Wrong~" she sang while wagging her finger. "That would never happen; a blood transfusion between a human and fishman is forbidden, so thinking it would work can't be possible because it would never happen in the first place." She chuckled as Chopper's eyes went wide.

"Huh?! Hey, that's not fair, I was right! They are compatible!" He protested as Prim laughed.

"Technically yes, but a good doctor would know the specifics about the species before trying to do something like that, it's still you loss Chopper, I win~" she giggled while Chopper crossed his arms.

"Doesn't count…"

"Oh yes it does. Now c'mon, you lost so you have to admit it." She said, putting one hand to her ear as she leaned in. "C'mon, say it~"

"N-No, that wasn't fair, a-and besides, it was supposed to be my turn anyway!"

"We didn't say if it had to be fair or not, what mattered was who won; which I did." She grinned smugly. "So c'mon, say it, say I'm the better student~" She laughed as Chopper groaned and put his book down.

He grumbled something while hiding his face by tilting his hat down.

"I'm sorry, what was that?"

"I said…mm…mmm…" he grumbled.

"C'mon, louder." She grinned, leaning closer to him.

"Fine! You're the…better student." he groaned as Prim grinned and let out a cheer. "But I'll make you say it next time!"

"Oh? Is that so? How about we make this more interesting then?" She grinned, picking up her book once more. "How about we increase the wager?"

"To what?"

"How about if I win… I get your rations of sweets for the next two weeks?" She grinned as Chopper gasped in horror. "And you have to admit I'll always be the better doctor~"

"That's evil! Evil!"

"It's a wager, and what do you want if you win? Of course we can forgo this wager…if you're too scared you'll lose." She grinned, making him freeze.

"Hey! I'm not scared!" He protested.

"Then tell me what you want if you win, then we can get back to our little competition." She grinned. 'Hook, line and sinker~'

Chopper put a hoof to his chin, looking at the table as he tried to think of what he could want. 'Maybe her sugar rati- on, wait, she got booze instead….maybe… ah-hah, that's it!' He thought as he looked at her with a grin. "Ok, if I win, you have to declare I'm the better doctor and… you have to grind all my medicine for a week and carry me around to wherever I want to go for that week too!" He said, crossing his arms with a grin. 'That'll show her!'

"Alright, you're on!" She grinned, shaking his hand. 'This is gonna be too easy. Maybe if he begs I'll give him some of his candy rations after a day or two.' Prim thought as they stared at each other competitively.

(Later)

"I….I lost?" Prim muttered, wide eyed as she looked at Chopper brimming with confidence, books lying all around them. "I…I can't lose! I studied!"

"Well, so did I, and apparently I did it better!" He grinned as Prim groaned. "Now C'mon, say it, say it!"

"Oh come on! I don't wanna!"

"You made your bed, now you have to sleep in it." He grinned. "C'mon, you made me say it!"

"Ugh…. fine!" She groaned, slamming her hands down on the massive table. "I, Prim, declare that Chopper is… the better doctor." She got out, her face looking like she just swallowed a lemon. 'I'm so getting him back for this, maybe I'll add some pink dye in his shampoo, see how he likes being pink!'

"Yes, yes I am!" he cheered, jumping up and down while pulling off his own victory dance as Prim crossed her arms with a pout. "I won~! I won~! I won~!"

"Yeah yeah yeah…." She groaned as she stood up. "You won, but this isn't over!"

"Sure it is! I'm gonna go tell Doctorine that I won!" he grinned before his eyes lit up. "That also means you have to carry me there!"

Prim groaned while picking Chopper up in her arms and grumbled as she carried him out of the room. "Just for this week, got it?" She said as Chopper rested comfortable in her hands.

"Yep, it still feels great!" He grinned, and despite herself Prim couldn't help but smile.

'Why did I have to have such a funny fellow student? I can't stay mad at him….for long at least.' She thought with a small smirk. 'I still think I'll get some payback for this later~'

Prim and Chopper eventually found Kureha in the middle of cleaning some scalpels, keeping them in fine condition in her personal bedroom. "Oh? Do I even want to ask what you two fools got up to this time?" She asked, glancing up to see Prim carrying Chopper, an annoyed expression on the mermaid's face.

"I beat Prim and proved who's the better doctor!" he grinned as Prim sighed.

"He won the studying game and this is what he wanted." She explained as Kureha laughed.

"You two are still playing that game? It's been months since you two started it!"

"It's too fun, alright? Besides, I won, at first." Prim mentioned with a grumble, "But then I just had to open my mouth…"

"Well, as long as you two don't take it too far you can keep at it, it's helping you study; you two have improved a lot since this game of yours started." She laughed as she shook her head. "That and it's been wildly fun to see what the loser has to do!"

"Well you better watch out Chopper, next time you'll be owing me big time." Prim muttered.

"I don't think so." He smirked up at her. "Now then, onward, to the kitchen!"

"Yeah yeah…" Prim muttered, rolling her eyes. She carried him out of the room, Kureha watching them and feeling some pride swell up inside her.

'You've done well, both of you. Chopper, you've come out of your shell and you're starting to trust people again, and Prim? Well, you're not the spoiled snot nosed brat I expected from an emperor.'

Back with the two, Prim was grumbling internally in her head while Chopper relaxed on his new ride. 'I can't believe I have to carry him around all week, this is going to make studying so annoying… At least I can still use my tentacles to hold my books.'

As she looked down at them, her eyes drifted to Chopper. That's when her brain started to realize something she overlooked. 'He did say I had to carry him all week… but he never said HOW!' She thought as a devious grin grew across her face. "Oh Chopper, I just realized, this must not be very comfortable for you, is it?"

"What do you mean?" He asked, confused as he looked at her.

"Oh, I just realized there was a more comfortable spot for you after all. If I'm going to be carrying you around for a week, I know just how to do it~" she grinned before two of her legs wrapped around Chopper and lifted him from her hands.

"Gah! Huh? Wha- what's going on?! You agreed to carry me!" He protested in confusion.

"Oh I am, I'm just carrying you with my tentacles." She grinned. "This way I can use my hands and I'm sure you're FAR more comfortable and secure like this. Before I could have dropped you, how careless of me." She remarked sarcastically with a massive grin.

Chopper opened his mouth to retort, but given the wording and how she WAS still technically carrying him? He couldn't stop but kept his mouth shut.

"Oh? Nothing to say? You see I'm right, don't you?" She grinned smugly.

"...no comment." He pouted. "You're technically right… I guess it could be worse." he muttered as she grinned.

"Oh? And how's that? Are you saying you don't like my tentacles? How rude Chopper, a girl has feelings you know." She chuckled as Chopper's face turned red a bit. 'He's so easy to tease~'

"Don't twist my words around!" He protested as Prim just laughed. 'At least it's just for a week.'

(Later)

"Chopper? Where are you?" Prim called, looking around the caves in confusion. 'Where'd he run off to now? Weren't we supposed to study together tonight?'

So far she had been hunting him down for the past half hour, but she surprisingly hadn't found any sign of him in the usual spots.

'He has to be around here somewhere, Kureha said he was still here somewhere, and I know I didn't step on him like that one time, so where is he?' She thought, her curiosity growing. She poked her head in the kitchen, but didn't spot him. 'Ok, where haven't I checked?' She thought, rattling off places in her mind before she realized she hadn't checked the storage room in the basement yet. 'It'll be a bit of a squeeze, but I should be able to fit in there and look. I think it's one of the few places Kureha said wasn't big enough for me to go there comfortably in this castle.'

With that, she rushed down the hall and down the stairs leading to the storage area. As she got closer she began to hear a faint sound, like someone grinding up herbs. 'Huh, maybe he is here?' She thought as she reached the entrance, and saw that the door was cracked open. She carefully had to crouch down and took a peek inside, spotting Chopper's back facing the door as his hooves were grinding something, but she couldn't see what. 'What is he doing?' She thought, her curiosity growing as she saw him stop grinding and pour the powder into a yellow ball like container.

"Ok…. Rumble ball test #132…. I wonder if it'll work right this time?" He muttered, holding it up with Prim raising an eyebrow.

'Rumble ball? Is this some secret project he's been working on?' She pondered while feeling a bit insulted he didn't let her in on this.

"Ok…. lets see if this'll work this time." Chopper muttered before tossing the pill into his mouth and taking a bite. "Let's see if I can get guard point to work this time."

'Guard Point?' Prim watched as Chopper hopped off his stool and took a stance, looking at the wall with gritted teeth. 'What is he-' She thought when suddenly Chopper changed form, except instead of his animal form or his human form he instead seemed to become a giant ball of fur. "What the fuck?!" She cried out, unable to stop herself.

Chopper jumped and cried out, falling back and rolling off to the side before crashing into a table. "Ow…" He groaned, his body feeling sore before he felt something grab him and begin to quickly pull him. He looked up and saw a large pink tentacle wrapped around him. "Prim?"

"Chopper? What…how…you're a giant puffball!" She cried, pulling him through the door frame, holding him up and looking him over in awe, shock and confusion. "How, what….how?! This isn't one of your forms!"

"Well… it kinda is now? What are you doing here?" He asked, his world spinning as she kept turning him around, inspecting him before stopping so he was staring right at her.

"I was trying to find you for our study game, but forget that! I wanna know just what you were doing! What's a Rumble Ball? How long have you been working on it? Does it affect just you or is it some super drug that can affect other devil fruit users?" She asked, her eyes widened in curiosity and a hunger for knowledge. "Are there any side effects? Is this a permanent new form? Tell me everything, please!"

"I-I can't, it's not finished, the rumble balls are still in the testing phase!" Chopper protested. "I…I was planning on showing you when they were done, I'm sorry about our game, I lost track of time…"

"Then tell me what you do know! I NEED to know!" She protested. "Chopper, this is Vegapunk level science, you've done what no one else has ever been able to, you're tapping into the powers of the devil fruits!"

"E-Eh? S-Stop it, flattering me by comparing me to Vegapunk isn't going to work, idiot!" He cried out, his eyes full of glee as he squirmed happily in her grasp.

"I'm calling it what it is; it's a huge step for everything!" She gushed, her eyes big. "Chopper, this could change the world, this could help Momma conquer the new world, become king of the pirates!" She exclaimed, before Chopper began to shake, and suddenly the big ball of fluff she'd been holding was now the brain point version of Chopper, quickly falling to the floor now that nothing was holding him up.

"Ow." he let out on the floor, Prim looking down and picking him up with two fingers. "Darn it. Not even a minute."

"Huh?" She asked, holding him up in confusion as he hung limply from her fingers.

"Like I said, they're still in the testing phase, I can barely get them to last a minute, and the side effect right now is that they paralyze me for a while after using them." He groaned.

Prim groaned hearing that as one of her legs hit the floor. "I hate when that happens!"

"This…is why I didn't tell you." Chopper groaned. "You got so excited…. And I let you down."

She looked at him before smiling and hugged him against her chest. "Oh don't let it get you down. The fact you reached a hundred tests proves you're not someone to just up and quit, and that shows real grit." she said quickly, trying her best to reassure him. "Plus, it's still a success, you've made progress, you've already unlocked a whole other transformation." She said, patting him carefully. "I'm proud, really, you've done something amazing."

"I've actually unlocked four forms including guard point…" Chopper mumbled, his face a bit red as he was pressed close to her.

"Four?!" She cried out in shock. "You… Chopper, that's amazing! You've come that far?!"

"Yeah… a year ago it only lasted a ten seconds, it has promise…"

'If it can do this for a zoan user, I wonder how it would work on the other types!' She thought, her eyes wide. 'This… this is revolutionary! He has to join Mama's crew, he's leagues better than that scumbag of a clown she hired!'

Looking at the reindeer, she got a devious grin and chuckled. "So you can't move for a while, huh~?"

"N-No? Why?" He asked, getting a bad feeling as Prim began to chuckle. "Prim?"

"In that case, I'll keep you extra close, just so you don't get lonely~" She chuckled, holding him closer as she began to make her way up the stairs. "In fact, I think now might be a good time to punish you for being late to our study game, don't you agree?" she chuckled as she looked down at him.

"Eh?! No fair!"

"Neither is keeping a big project like that a secret from me. You know how I get when it comes to knowledge." She pouted. "What if you hadn't finished it by the time I had to leave?"

"I-I would have figured something out!" he protested.

"Well regardless, you're sticking close to me for now, or if you'd rather you could pay me back by helping me with a few experiments, your choice." She grinned. 'I'll let him stew for a bit, he always pushes himself too hard… would it be so bad if he came with me when my time here is over?' She pondered, her heart skipping a beat at the idea. 'If he did, Mama would go nuts for his invention, and with another doctor who has room to get better; would be a good addition to the crew.' She thought, grinning at the idea. 'He may be so valuable she might want to cement his allegiance to the crew with a marr…marr…. Well either way that's a problem for later!'

"Prim? Are you really that mad? C'mon, your face wouldn't be that red if you weren't mad!"

"I'm not mad!" She sputtered, holding Chopper closer. "J-Just shut up and relax, o-or we'll see if dyed fur stays dyed when you shift through forms!"

"Ehh?!" he cried out with wide eyes. "It took me days to get the color out last time!"

"So you have incentive to stay quiet now!" She argued. "Just…. Just relax, alright, how long are you supposed to be paralyzed?"

"A few hours was how long it lasted last time, maybe less now if I got the dosage right?" He pondered.

"Then until you can move, you're not leaving my sight." She declared. "You're staying close to me, alright? You need a good doctor to monitor you to make sure there's no other side effects."

Chopper couldn't argue due to the fact she wasn't wrong, and without any means to move, he wasn't in any position to really refuse. "Ok, thank you Prim, I appreciate it… but what if you need to use your hands and tentacles?" he asked as she kept moving. "You can put me down if you want, you know that, right?"

"Oh, I have a few ideas." she giggled, making him sweatdrop.

"Which would be?"

"Well, here's a good spot." She chuckled as Chopper found himself pressed into her cleavage, deep enough so that only his head was showing. "See, nice and secure, right?"

Chopper would have jumped in sheer shock and disbelief, but given his state? All he could manage was a glowing red face and slack jaw. "I….gah….bu…"

"And of course there's a few other places, but I think that'll work for now, that's for the suggestion Chopper~" She chuckled. 'I can practically feel him heating up~'

Sadly for her, Chopper's brain had fizzled out and went blank, leading to him blacking out with his last thoughts being of two large marshmallows.

(Later)

"I can't believe it's been over a year since I've been here." Prim sighed, shaking her head. "I expected half a year at best."

"Yeah, I can't believe its been a year and a half, I'm surprised Kureha let you stay in the first place." Chopper smiled. He and Prim were sitting in one of the towers looking outside while draped in a heavy blanket. "You've been a great study partner, even if I'm the better doctor."

"Not according to our last game. Last I checked you admitted I was the best, and my score is 875 wins to your 799." She smugly replied.

"You only won more because you keep cheating!" Chopper protested.

"It's not cheating, you just suck at not seeing trick questions!" She argued with a grin.

"Ugh…. anyway, I'm still glad you stuck around." Chopper admitted with a small smile.

"Yeah, I…I never really had much of a study partner back at home. Actually, I never really had someone who was into the same thing as me…" She admitted with a sigh, making Chopper turn to her in confusion.

"Really? Actually…. Do you mind if I ask you a question?" Chopper asked, to which she shook her head and gestured for him to continue. "Why… why did you want to come to Drum? I know we had a reputation for good doctors, but from what you told me of home, Totto land was pretty great too, right? Couldn't you have studied there?"

"It's… complicated Chopper. You know how big my family is? Well it just gets hard to stand out among the sea of faces. Sure I love them all, but…. I wanted to be the best, I didn't want to JUST be a doctor or scientist, I wanted to be the best doctor and scientist in the grand line, in the world if I could!" she explained while looking ahead. "I have brothers who are some of the toughest, roughest, baddest guys around, sisters that are beautiful, cute, and downright precious, but me? I'm pretty average compared to them."

"Huh? How, you're the prettiest woman I've ever seen!" Chopper cried out in genuine surprise. "Uh… please don't tell Doctorine I said that."

"N-No problem!" she blushed, looking away quickly while biting her lip to keep from squeaking in joy. "R-Regardless, I-I wanted to give something of value to the crew, I didn't want to just be a potential bride to Mama. I just…. I want to be useful."

Chopper looked up at the woman, not saying a word which made Prim worried, before he reached out and patted her side. "You're more than useful Prim, you're an amazing Doctor, a great scientist, and I'm sure your crew is lucky to have you."

Prim felt her whole face glow red, making her feel like she was getting a bit light-headed. 'Damn it, keep it together Prim!' She thought as she cleared her throat. "T-Thank you Chopper… what about you? How'd you end up here? I don't know many reindeer that become doctors."

Chopper looked away, his face gaining a somber glint in his eyes. "I…I started out as a regular reindeer like so many others. I lived like them, doing what I could to survive, but one day, I ate the human human fruit and changed." He admitted, sighing. "I was already a pariah because of my blue nose, but now? I was a freak to them, so they cast me out. I then thought it might be a good idea to go to the humans, I thought I looked like them, maybe they would accept me? I was wrong…. I was so wrong."

Prim looked at him with concern and wrapped a few legs around him in comfort.

"They threw things at me, called me a monster, shot at me, so I turned and ran as far away as I could. I was confused, lost, and I didn't know what to do." He admitted. "I nearly died, bleeding out in the snow, and I would have, if not for the Doctor."

"Doctor Hiriluk." She said, eyes widening in understanding. "He helped you?"

"That and more; he took me in, nursed me back to help, he… he was the first person to ever accept me." he grit his teeth as he started to get teary-eyed. "He…He showed me what it meant to be a doctor, to try and help people, even if…even if he wasn't what some thought a doctor should be."

"Really? He sounds like a great man."

"He was…. But he was sick, a-and I tried to help… but I didn't know what I was doing, a-and I thought a poisonous mushroom was a heal all cure…and he ate it!" Chopper wailed. "He ate it, and then he went to Wapol's castle, because that bastard spread a rumor that the doctors left in the country were sick, and there he… he blew up!"

Prim leaned down and held Chopper with all her legs as he started sobbing against her. "It's ok, let it out… let it out…"

"T-Then…. Then I begged Kureha to teach me to… to be a doctor, to be one that could cure every disease!" he hiccuped while crying as he clung to her harder. "I wanted to help more people so they would never have to worry about l-losing someone…over things that we can't always prevent!"

"I'm sure you will do that, and I'm positive that the Doctor would be proud of you Chopper, you…. You are the better doctor after all." she lifted him up to her chest and held him there, rubbing his head as he cried against her. As she did so, she felt rage, rage that people could be so cruel to Chopper, that he lost his father, that she couldn't do anything right now except comfort him.

"I….I…I don't want them…to lose someone they love…" he sniffled as she rubbed his back.

"I know, and I'm sure you will Chopper, you're going to be an amazing doctor, I just know it." Prim promised. She leaned down and kissed him on the hat, the reindeer sniffling as he began to slowly stop crying, but kept still in his position. "You want to stay here for a bit?" She asked, hoping he would say yes. "You can just rest here until you feel better, ok?"

Chopper didn't say anything, but he did respond with a slow nod.

"Ok, you can stay here as long as you want, Chopper." She said softly, continuing to rub his back. 'I need him to come with me when I leave, I will make sure no one hurts him ever again…'

Both stayed in the position as Prim made sure they were nice and snug in the heavy blanket.

She smiled as she held him close, noting he seemed to be asleep. She smiled as she took off his hat and carefully leaned down, bringing him up carefully to plant a soft kiss atop his head. 'Goodnight Chopper~'

Said hybrid didn't say a word or even stir, just held onto her as he slowly drifted off to sleep. The mermaid smiled as she closed her eyes and relaxed, feeling more content and happy than she had in awhile.

(Later)

"So, you finally got the call, huh Prim?" Kureha asked, taking a swig from her bottle. "Time to go home, eh?"

"Yeah…" replied the woman with her arms crossed as she leaned against the wall, looking deep in thought. "Don't worry, I instructed the ship to bring you a nice bonus…. Thank you, this has been an amazing two years."

"It's been a better experience than I expected when you first showed up." She remarked, pausing to look at her carefully. "Have you told Chopper yet?"

"Not yet…" Prim sighed, shaking her head.

"Well if you don't, you might regret it." She remarked. "Also, don't you try to poach him, got it?" She asked, making Prim freeze.

"After all this time, do you really think I'd do something like that?!" She exclaimed, making Kureha glare at her.

"I know you care about him, I know you care about him MORE than just as a fellow student of mine." She remarked, making Prim freeze. "Or did you think I was going senile and wouldn't notice?"

"I…uh…. You see…"

"Look. I know. He doesn't, and I won't tell him, but you WILL be the one to tell him, ok?" She remarked before standing up. "Welp, I have to go into town to pick up a few things, I should be gone for a few hours. Chopper's medicine bag is in my office in case he forgets." She said as she began to walk away.

'Did… did she just tell me when would be a good time to ask him to leave with me and tell me where his things were?'

"Prim…. You weren't a half bad student, one of the best I ever had." Kureha called, pausing at the entrance.

Prim stared at the woman who shared a smile before she walked out. Prim blinked for a moment before sighing, steeling herself for what was to come. 'Ok, let's do this. It's time to ask Chopper to come with me!' She thought, moving forward with purpose.

With said reindeer, he was looking through a book while trying to find where it was meant to be sorted into. 'Ok, this is about fungi, but it's also about how to use them in medicine… Does this belong in the plant section or the medicine section?'

"Chopper? Where are you?!"

"In here!" He called, putting the book down as he saw Prim burst into the room. "Prim? What's going on? Is everything ok?"

"Well…to a point." She admitted, feeling nervous. "Chopper, I… I have something important to tell you." She said, steeling herself for what was to come. "I… I have to leave Drum island."

Chopper turned to her, the book falling from his hooves as his mouth dropped. "Eh?"

"I…I got a call, from my big brother Katakuri, he said Mama would like me to return home, that I've spent enough time studying in paradise." she replied, looking away as two of her legs poked together. "So…this is my last day here."

"Wha…but… i-its too soon!" Chopper protested. "I don't want you to leave!"

"I know! Believe me, I know." She said quickly, trying to ignore how her heart skipped a beat at that remark. "That's why… I want you to come with me, Chopper."

"...EH!?" He cried out, taking a step back in shock. "W-W-W-WWhat?! Me?!"

"Yes, Chopper, you, I want you to come with me when I leave, I want you to join the Big Mom pirates, so you can stay by my side." she let out without turning away, letting it all out or risk faltering. "Please, you would love Totto land, the islands are made of food and candy, the people don't discriminate, you'd get your own lab probably once Mama sees your rumble balls!"

"T-They're not done yet though!"

"They're all but done, they just need some tweaking!" Prim protested. "You'd have everything needed to make them perfect, plus nobody would dare treat you any different than others. You'd never have to live in fear again." She promised. "Please Chopper, please come with me, please say yes and come be a pirate with me!"

She waited, staring at him expectantly and hopeful, waiting for those words she was so sure he would utter any second now.

"I….I can't." Chopper admitted, lowering his head nervously.

"...What?" Prim whispered out in disbelief, her heart sinking in her chest like a devil fruit user sinking into the ocean. "But… why?"

"I'd like to, I really would, but…I can't leave the island. I've lived here my entire life; it's where I met Doctorine, where I met and learned under Hiriluk, where he wanted to help the people." He said as Prim just stared at him. "I… I don't think it's time for me to leave, not when Wapol is still in charge, and… and it just doesn't feel like it's the right time. I'm sorry."

"But…But Chopper!" She protested, her mind racing. This couldn't be happening, this shouldn't be happening! She had it all planned, how he would get on the ship with her, how she would show him off to Mama, and drop hints on marriage, this couldn't end like this, it couldn't! "I-I could beat Wapol, would that change your mind?!"

"I appreciate the offer, and I really do appreciate all the time we spent together. You've been the bestest friend I ever had." He smiled, "But I can't leave, not yet at least."

"But… but…" Prim said, her heart dying a bit at the 'best friend' comment. 'I… I could take him by force, it would be easy to wrap him in tentacles, shove him in a sack and take him with me.' she thought before discarding the idea after a moment of thought. 'No… I want him to love me, if I take him he'd hate me… which means I also can't tell Mama about his rumble balls, she'd just send someone to kidnap him and then he'd hate me too!'

"But that doesn't mean this is the end!" he spoke up quickly. "I'll leave, eventually, but I wanna be a better doctor first! When that happens, I'll leave, and then we can see each other again."

"Chopper… I want you to join my crew. Could you… could you at least promise me that when you are ready to leave, you at least call me, and join Mama's crew? Please?" Prim asked, the words feeling heavy in her chest.

"You got it." he smiled. "I also promise to call at least once a week!"

"I'll hold you to that." She smiled before leaning down and pulling him into a hug. "I'm going to miss you Chopper…"

"I'll miss you too Prim." He said, trying his best not to tear up.

'I'll wait for him, when he's ready I'll personally come back and bring him to Totto land myself.' Prim swore to herself.

After they reluctantly separated, Prim walked away, forcing herself not to look behind her no matter what. 'Don't cry, don't cry damn it, you're a proud Big Mom pirate, you won't cry because one reindeer hybrid on a random island turned you down…'

She left the large castle decked out in a winter jacket with coverings over her legs, spotting Kureha ahead with her arms crossed.

"So, I take it you talked to him?"

"Yes. He's… still back at your home, waiting for you to come back." She sighed.

"I had a feeling he'd pick it, but I would have liked it if he went with you."

"Me too, me too…" Prim sighed, shaking her head before pausing. "Um… Kureha, are you expecting a fat weirdo on a hippo?"

"No, why?" She asked, turning to see what she was looking at only to groan. "Ugh, Wapol, that idiot…"

"Wait…THAT'S Wapol?!" She cried out in disbelief. "That's the king of this place?! I've seen bums more impressive!"

"No one ever accused him of being a good king." Kureha muttered in annoyance. "What's that idiot want now? He went and fucked off two years ago and NOW he shows up?"

The large man with a steel jaw held onto the reins as he got closer and closer to the castle, noting two figures out in front. "Oi, what are you two doing here?! Don't you know this is my castle?!"

"I don't see your name on it!" Kureha yelled back in anger while Prim felt her eye twitch the closer the man got closer, finding him more silly looking compared to most of her own family; with anger rising up given how he was one of the reasons Chopper couldn't come with. "Now get lost!"

"No. In fact I can't think of a better house warming gift than killing you, ya hag! And you…. What the hell are you?!" He shouted, turning to glance at Prim. "Are you another freak like that reindeer the witch has?"

"You…." she let out in a low tone with her hair shadowing her eyes as she clenched her hands.

"Eh? What about me? Hey, why aren't you bowing, don't you know I'm royalty?!" he yelled before Prim suddenly launched herself at him in the blink of an eye, making his eyes widen in slow motion, Prim's fist reared back with fury in her eyes.

"BASTAAAAAAARD!" she swung her fist, slammed it into his nose with the resulting force sending him flying back and off his hippo, careening up over the trees, crashing through several treetops in the process. The force kept him flying, sending him over the mountain top, as he let out a squeal of pain and fear as he began to plummet.

Kureha just stared as Prim panted, her hand blackened from haki as she stared in the direction Wapol had gone flying off in.

"And never let me see you again!" she yelled out with her hand returning to its natural color.

"Well damn, I'm glad I never pissed you off!" laughed Kureha while slapping her knee.

Prim looked at her and let out a heavy sigh. "I better go before I do something crazy."

"Agreed. Though between you and me, if Chopper was here, he might have changed his answer to your offer." She laughed as Prim groaned.

"Now you're just rubbing it in."

"Eh, give him time, I'm sure you'll win him over eventually. You wouldn't make a bad daughter in-law. Now c'mon, we have to go get my payment!" Kureha cackled as she made her way to the sky lift, with Prim red faced.

"D-D-Don't joke like that!"

"Who said I was?"

"W-Wait!" Called a voice, making her quickly turn around, seeing Chopper running towards her.

'Did he come to say he's joining my crew?! No, wait, calm yourself Prim, just wait and see!'

"Prim! I forgot to ask you something!" he ran up to her and panted, taking a moment to catch his breath. "How…How can I contact you?"

"Oh…. Um, here, this is my Den-Den Mushi number, you can call me anytime, ok?" She said, quickly pulling a piece of paper out of her jacket. "Now I want to hear from you at least once a week, ok?"

"I know, I promise." he nodded, accepting the paper with a smile.

"Yes… I'll miss you Chopper." She smiled as she leaned down. "So how about a parting gift?"

"You mean one last hug?"

"Not quite~" She grinned, quickly reaching out and pulling him close. Without hesitating she pulled him up to her face and pressed her lips to his own. Chopper's eyes widened in shock and surprise before she parted their lips and gave him a hug. "You remember me, alright?"

"I….but….wha…." he stuttered out, finding himself set down on the snow as Prim chuckled.

"See you later Chopper~" She smiled as she turned to leave Kureha cackling as she followed.

(Timeskip)

Prim sighed as she waited in her room, staring at a large Den-Den Mushi. 'C'mon, this is when he usually calls, what's taking him so long?'

Ever since she had come back home from her journey, she had made sure to keep track of each and every call she and Chopper made. Talking each week had been the highlight for herself; minus practicing some of the things she learned while on the island. Needless to say her siblings and Mama had been impressed with what she'd learned, and had declared that her trip had in fact not been a waste of time. It had helped that she had nabbed one of those giant rabbits while on her way to the ship to present Mama for her collection.

Suddenly, the snail began to ring, and before it had finished the second ring she'd already snatched the receiver, answering the call.

"Chopper!" She answered happily, her snail's face already changing to look like the familiar reindeer she knew (And loved). "How have you been? How's the rumble balls, are they still working?"

"Hi Prim, good news. I finally got them to last longer without side-effects!" Chopper called happily. "I'm finally ready to say that they're a success, I've maintained the three minute mark with no problems!"

"That's great!" She grinned. "So has anything else happened recently?"

"Well…." Chopper said, his voice faltering, making her pause in confusion. "Wapol came back."

"WHAT?!" Prim screamed with wide eyes with worry in her tone. "Are you ok?! What happened?!"

"I'm ok, really! I had to fight his two henchmen, but with the rumble ball I was able to beat them!" he explained, relieving Prim who sighed and smiled.

"That's great!" She sighed before pausing. "Wait, then who defeated Wapol?"

"About that, this pirate named Luffy actually defeated him, he's the captain of the Straw Hat pirates." Chopper said, cheer in his voice. "I also have big news too!"

"Well don't leave me in suspense, what is it?" She said as the Den-Den Mushi cleared its throat.

"I… have decided to become a pirate!"

Prim instantly went still and quiet, staring at the snail in silence. "You…. what?" She got out, shocked. It had barely been a month since she had last seen the hybrid on Drum, a month since he had refused to go out to see with her. Was he finally ready to go out to sea, did he want her to come and get him? A million thoughts raced through the mermaid's mind, and a feeling of hope and joy began to build up inside her. "T…That's great!"

"Yeah! I'm a proud member of the Straw Hat pirates now!" Chopper announced, and Prim's world all but shattered around her.

"W…..What?" she let out in a tiny voice, eyes wide as she tried to keep her hand steady and not drop the snail. "You mean…you…already joined a crew?" She asked, barely getting her words out.

"Yeah, I know it's sudden, but I felt a real connection with Luffy and his crew."

Prim slowly started to feel her mind coming together, but not in a happy way. She slowly held an empty expression as she stared at the snail. "So, went out to see and became a pirate? Even after I offered the same thing?" Prim asked, her voice deceptively calm, along with her Den-Den Mushi not showing any emotion.

"Y-Yeah, Luffy just seemed so amazing, and he demanded that I be part of his crew, a-and he helped save the island from Wapol, he's really great." Chopper said, trying to smile, but he couldn't help but feel like something was off.

"An amazing captain, one who demanded you go out to sea despite you not wanting to go." She repeated, her voice still calm. "One who beat up Wapol who tried to return to Drum?"

"Yeah." Chopper nodded, confused on why she was asking this.

"Only a few weeks after I left and asked you to go out to see with me and join my crew, isn't that right?" She asked, Chopper seeing his the Den-Den Mushi narrowing its eyes. "I suppose a lot happened to you to make you suddenly go out to sea and become a pirate?"

"Um…. kinda?" He said, paling a bit as he started to connect the dots enough to realize that he had messed up. "It…. it just kinda happened…"

"I suppose it must have been a pretty special crew, one that you had to join instead of mine, huh?!" She snapped, restraining herself from crushing the snail in her hand.

Chopper reeled back, the snail nearly jumping at him as he was starting to feel an intense feeling in the air, which made the long distance call all the more terrifying.

"Start talking, mister! What can this 'Luffy' and his 'oh so special and better than mine crew' even do?!" She snapped. "You must have gotten to know them better than you did me after two goddamn years, huh?!"

"I-It's not like that! They're really nice, Luffy ate this crazy devil fruit that made him rubber, a-and he has this really cool swordsman named Zoro!" Chopper started, hoping that by explaining his new crew she might see that they weren't better than her, just different.

"Rubber? That's it?! And a swordsman? HA!" she scoffed on her end. "I could give you a huge list of WAY MORE impressive people than those!"

"T-There's more than just them! There's Nami, she's this really talented Navigator who can also be really scary!" Chopper added quickly.

"Oh, she can read a map? Oooh, never heard that before!" growled Prim who was barely holding back on crushing the snail with her bare hands.

"T-There's also Usopp! He's a sniper who tells these amazing stories, a-and Sanji, who makes this amazing food, and can fight really well with his legs!" Chopper added quickly, fearful a bit. He hadn't heard her this pissed since Chopper won a wager that made her dye her hair pink, revenge for a former prank she'd pulled on him.

"So a guy who can shoot and another who kicks things?" She snapped, her eye twitching in frustration. "I can't WAIT to hear what the rest of the crew can do if this is the best you can come up with!"

"That uh…. Is it." Chopper said, closing his eyes nervously. Nami had told him not to tell anyone that Vivi was with them, something about keeping her safe? Regardless he knew this would not go over well, not when Prim already sounded so mad.

Said girl was gritting her teeth, her legs slapping the floor in barely restrained fury. 'I COULD HAVE GIVEN HIM WAY BETTER OPTIONS! WHAT MAKES THEM SO GOOD?!' She thought, letting out a hiss of anger. "Chopper…. Are you telling me that you decided to join five random people you met by random chance, over me? How long have they been at sea?" She asked, one of her eyes twitching in rage.

"Uh…well…from what I was told, about…a month?" He said, feeling awkward. This was not turning out to be the happy call he had been hoping for.

"A month…. A MONTH?!" Prim roared, slamming her fist through the wall next to her. "You mean they've literally been a crew for less time than the last time I saw you in person?! That they weren't even a crew when I left Drum?!"

"They…uh…. Well yes, but it…. It's complicated!" He stammered.

"Oh yeah? Well this isn't complicated! Fess up Chopper, is this crew better than me?!"

"What? No, that's not fair!" He protested!"

"Are. They. Better. Than. Me? Yes or no." she hissed in a warning tone, making the hybrid shiver on the spot.

"N…No?" He stammered out, hoping he chose the right answer. "I like all of you equally?"

"THEN WHY DID YOU JOIN THEIR CREW INSTEAD OF MINE?!" She snapped, making the snail jump in Chopper's hooves. "ARE THEY SO MUCH BETTER THAN ME YOU'D SOONER JOIN STRANGERS THAN YOUR OWN FRIEND?!"

"I-I just-"

"You promised me damn it!" She snapped.

"Prim please, calm down!"

"You promised to call me when you were ready to go to sea, damn it! What, did you just forget about me? Did those two years mean nothing to you?!"

"No, no, they mean a lot!" Chopper protested. "Prim, please, I'm sorry, it just… happened!"

"Joining another pirate crew instead of my own doesn't 'just happen' !"

She snapped. "You know what? No, no, I am not just going to let this slide damn it!" She roared. "You fucked up Chopper, and now you're going to pay!"

"Huh?!"

"As of this moment, we are rivals!" She snapped, her voice icy. "We are enemies, and I swear upon the sea itself I will defeat you, I will prove I am superior to your crew, to you, and that I WILL be coming for you Chopper! " She shouted, Chopper turning white as he heard the declaration.

"EH!? Prim wait! Try and take a slow, deeeep breath, and calm down!"

"No, I will not! Goodbye!" She snapped before the snail clicked off, its eyes closing as its face shifted back to normal.

Chopper's jaw dropped all the way to the floor as he dropped to his knees. "I…I….OH NO!" He cried out in panic. 'T-This isn't good, she's really, really mad at me! What do I do, what do I do?!'

He started to pace back and forth, his brain going several miles a minute as he tried to formulate a plan. "Would it be better if I called back now, o-or should I just give her some time to cool off?"

Over with said woman, she was slamming all of her legs on the floor, pounding on her working table with her fists over and over and over.

"God damn it! How could I be such an idiot?! How could HE be such an idiot?!" she raged, her legs breaking the floor while she felt like wanting to go and get drunk, dissect someone, and bawl into her pillows. That conversation was single handedly the worst moment of her life. She'd never been so angry, so hurt, and now she'd gone and made the situation ever worse.

Losing her cool is embarrassing, and unbecoming of her and her rational thinking, but to hear Chopper go and join another crew AFTER she left? She had a good reason to lose it and speak without thinking. To make it worse, it was for some random guy who apparently just didn't take no for an answer! Did that mean her original plan of kidnapping him could have worked?! She'd never know however, because she went and declared him her enemy! Chopper must hate her….no, he couldn't hate her, he wasn't like that, but he was probably upset.

"What do I do…" She cursed under her breath. 'Maybe… I just need to wait a bit? Soon he might see that the crew he joined isn't better than me… and I can come get him later, he joined a small crew, he can keep out of trouble for a bit, right?'

Her mind briefly imagined the hybrid getting chased by cannibals, giants, flying birds, and even the marines, all at once. 'Gah! What am I thinking, he's on the grand line with a bunch of idiots, a bunch of weak, small time idiots!' She thought, paling at the idea. 'He needs me! He….gah….what do I do?!' She thought, trying to think of a solution. She thought back to her previous words and held her chin. "Maybe if I can improve myself and become better, I can actually back up my words and give him a good reason to reconsider." She grinned as the plan began to form in her mind.

"Yes…. Yes! I'll get stronger, better! I'll also let him stew a bit, give him the silent treatment! He's a medic and part reindeer, maybe his crew's enemies won't hurt him, maybe he won't leave the ship too often!"

She rubbed her hands together and gave an evil chuckle while back over with Chopper, he poked his hooves together while walking over to his friends on the deck of the Sunny.

"Hey Chopper, how'd your call go?" Nami asked with a smile, spotting her new crewmate.

"Uh…well…I need to warn everyone that we might need to be careful." He said nervously. "The thing is, I uh…. May have angered my friend by joining this crew." He said, rubbing the back of his head.

"Eh?! How?!" Nami cried out in shock.

All he could manage was a weak chuckle and smile as the screen briefly went dark for a few seconds, then returned to show the setting was focused on a giant elephant's back…yes I know what I said.

"So, Sanji's been taken to Big Mom's territory?" Luffy asked incredulously, staring at Nami in shock.

"Yes, he's apparently supposed to get married there." She groaned.

"Then let's get going!" he yelled while pumping his arms outward. "We're gonna save him even if we gotta kick her ass!"

"Luffy, he's in a Yonko's territory! We're already committed to fighting Kaido, we can't fight both of them at once!" Nami protested.

"Well I'm not gonna leave him on his own!" Luffy protested as Chopper stared down, lost in thought. "He's my nakama! I'm not leaving him!"

"I know, but what are we supposed to do?!"

"Luffy... I…may know someone who can help us get Sanji." Chopper admitted nervously, making Nami and Luffy turn to him with the captain perking up.

"Sweet! Who is it?" Luffy asked with a grin. "Are they strong?"

"Her name is Prim, she worked with me for Dr Kureha, she was a student like me, and we were good friends until she left." he revealed while poking his hooves together. "She…she's one of Big Mom's daughters. She studied with me and Dr. Kureha for two years before she went home."

"Wait, you knew Big Mom's daughter before we met?!" Nami let out with wide eyes.

"Don't say it like I did something wrong!" He protested as Luffy laughed.

"Really? Great, then she'll definitely help us because you two are friends!" Luffy grinned as Chopper gulped.

"Well… she might be kind of mad at me." He confessed. "She might not help me even if I beg for her help…"

"Eh? How come?" Luffy tilted his head.

"Well, she wanted me to come join her crew before she left... and I said no." Chopper admitted.

"Really?"

"Yeah, it didn't feel like the right time." He admitted as Nami looked at him in confusion.

"Well why would she be mad about that? Did you turn her down rudely or something?"

"Uh...it's complicated." He said cautiously. "Long story short, about a month after she left; Luffy and you guys arrived… and she wasn't happy to hear I joined your crew."

"So she was jealous." spoke up Brook.

"Pretty much, yeah, she was pretty upset with me when I told her." he looked down. "Which means she might hold a grudge against me."

"Well, there's not much you can do about that, just apologize and beg for her help." Nami interjected.

"Ahhhh, she'll be so mad..." He groaned. "She was yelling at me when I told her and we haven't talked since then."

"Maybe bring her some chocolate and flowers when you apologize." Nami suggested. "If you really want you could bring her some of my tangerines, anything to get on her good side!"

He looked at her with wide eyes and an open mouth. "Y-Y-You make it sound romantic!"

"Well, weren't you two dating and that's why she was mad?" Nami asked in confusion.

"No! W-W-We were just friendly rivals!" Chopper protested, his face red, even as the memory of their farewell surfaced, despite him trying to suppress it.

"Uh-huh, sure." Nami said, rolling her eyes. "Regardless, you have to talk to her and convince her to help us. I'd argue this is essentially you begging your ex to help you."

"She's not my ex!" Chopper cried out, his face heating up. "Stop making this sound so weird!"

"Then we'll find her!" declared Luffy with gusto, ignoring Chopper's red face. "If she won't help then we'll just beat her up and make her help us!"

"No Luffy, I know where she is, but I think I need to do this on my own." Chopper quickly interjected.

"You don't want backup?" Luffy asked in confusion.

"I do… but I don't think she'd listen if she saw the crew I joined, it might just make her mad." He admitted. "I'm hoping she's calmed down a bit after two years, but if she sees you guys it might make her mad again…"

"Alright, but if anything goes wrong, just call for us." spoke Carrot with a reassuring smile.

"I will, but hopefully everything goes ok." Chopper admitted, still nervous.

"Then onward!" "Luffy declared with a massive grin. "Let's go save Sanji!"

"Don't forget your chocolate and flowers." Robin chuckled.

"We weren't like that!" He protested again, hating how his body rebelled against him as his face remained red.

"Even so it never hurts, especially since you want to get on her good side." She chuckled.

He slumped on the floor, groaning as Nami checked the log post. 'How did it come to this?'

(Later)

"You ready Chopper?" Nami asked as the reindeer gulped nervously. The Sunny was currently docked just behind a large grouping of candylike trees, with them able to see a town a bit away from their position, just far enough that no one would be able to spot the Sunny.

"Not entirely." He admitted nervously. "What if she's still mad at me? What if she refuses to help?"

"Thinking negative won't do you any good." remarked Carrot with a grin before puffing out her chest. "Give her a smile, stand tall, and tell her how much you need her, just be confident and you're sure to wow her and make her take you back."

"I'M NOT TRYING TO ASK HER OUT!" Chopper shouted in frustration and embarrassment.

"You can do two things at once, you can ask for help and try to fix your relationship with her." Pedro interjected and gave a thumbs up, making the reindeer slam his head against the rail.

"Don't forget the flowers and chocolate!" Nami called.

"Why do you want me to try and date her?!" he cried out. "This is meant to help Sanji, remember?!"

"We can multitask, plus if you date her it's less likely she'll betray us to Big Mom!" Nami responded. "Now go and woo her so we can save Sanji!"

He smacked his face with both hooves and groaned. "You guys are just making this harder..." He muttered before moving to the ramp as it lowered down to the shore.

"Good luck Chopper! Remember to be polite! Compliment her a lot!" Luffy called with a grin.

"You got this Chopper!" Nami cheered. "You're a great catch, I'm sure she'll take you back!"

"Stop helping!" He called back, teeth sharp in annoyance. "I can do this myself!"

The crew watched him run off with Nami crossing her arms.

"Hopefully it goes alright."

"I'm sure he'll be fine, and if anything does happen Luffy will go and save him." Pedro shrugged.

With Chopper, he was feeling the weight of this all as he made his way to the closest town.

'Ok, I just have to apologize to her, and then ask if she can help us... this is the island she lives on, she did say she lived on candy island...' he looked around, noting the houses made out of candy of various kinds with the people going about their day looking happy, without a care in the world. 'This does seem like a nice place, I could see why Prim likes it so much... So which house is hers?'

He stopped as he realized that without any real address or idea on the design, he could be spending too much time wandering around and attracting too much attention.

'Crap, what do I do now? I can't just wander around town, I'll stick out...kinda.' He thought, realizing that among the crowd of minks, humans, people with long legs or arms, he seemed... surprisingly mundane compared to other islands he visited. 'If I ask someone for directions, could that show I'm not from around?' He thought, racking his brain. 'What do I do?!'

"Excuse me there." Called a voice from behind and he felt someone tap on his shoulder.

"Huh?" Chopper said, turning to see a woman looking at him with a smile.

"Are you lost little guy?" She asked, bending down to get a better look at him. "I'm sorry to intrude, but you were kind of standing in the middle of the street with a panicked look on your face."

"I uh…. A bit." He admitted cautiously, and with a bit of embarrassment. "I'm… looking for Prim's house, do you know where it is?"

"Oh, Lady Prim? Of course, everyone does." She smiled, looking at him in confusion before her eyes widened. "Oh, I get it, you must be from one of the other islands, right?"

"Uh, yeah, yeah! I heard about some of her great deeds and wanted to see her for myself!" He said quickly. "I'm originally from Liquor island." He said, vaguely remembering Prim mentioning the island during their time together.

"Well, it shouldn't be too hard to miss, just keep going down this road and you should find yourself at her laboratory, the big building, can't miss it!" She smiled, pointing to a giant building at the end of the street that looked like a mix between an observatory, a mansion, a green house, a hospital, and a gingerbread house with a large peppermint fence surrounding it..

"Thanks." He smiled as he began to jog in the direction she had pointed out. 'This is it, I finally know where to find her!'

He ran as fast he could, ignoring the temptation to change just in case someone viewed it as unnatural and tried to stop him.

'Ok, when I see her should I be in my heavy point or... no, I should probably stay like this, so she recognizes me.' He thought as he kept running. 'This is the only form that hasn't changed since I last saw her.'

He started to slow down as he got closer, eyes straight ahead as he stared at the giant building. 'That's definitely it... ok, here I go...' He thought, stopping just outside the gate. 'I need to knock and...and... why is this suddenly so hard?!'

He felt his hooves feeling clammy with his throat feeling dry. 'This... this isn't anything to feel nervous about, I'm just seeing an old friend, n-not my ex like the others said!' He thought, steeling himself. 'I need to do this, for Sanji!'

He moved near the doorbell beside the gate and pushed it. He heard it chime and waited nervously, until he saw the gates swing open, allowing him to enter the yard. 'I guess that means I can go knock on the door.'

Each step towards it felt like his feet were encased in lead as he reached it and gave a knock on it.

'Maybe I should have brought some chocolate like Nami said…'

"Who is it?" He heard a familiar voice call, one that just made him even more nervous for what was about to happen.

"It's... an old friend." He called back, his throat feeling dry. 'Really? An old friend? Nice one Chopper.' He thought in annoyance to himself.

"Who?" He heard her call in confusion.

"It's...Chopper." He said, bracing himself nervously. "From Drum island…"

All he got was silence.

"I-I know it's been a bit since we last talked..." He added nervously. "I-I really want to talk to you, but I can go if now's not a good time…"

"Stay right there!" He heard her call, making him gulp nervously.

'Maybe this was a mistake.' he thought as he heard the sound of crashing glass inside along with the patter of tentacles that got closer and closer to the door. 'Is it too late to run back to the Sunny?' He thought nervously, taking a step back when suddenly the front door swung inwards.

Standing there, looking down at him with wide eyes and an unreadable expression, was Prim whose gaze made Chopper break into a nervous sweat. She was just as he had remembered her, yet at this moment she seemed even taller than before as she stared down at him. 'Is she mad? Is she happy? W-What do I do? Should I have brought flowers and chocolate?! Was this a mistake?!'

"Chopper. You're actually here…" She spoke in a hollow tone, making the hybrid gulp and nod.

"Y-Y-Yeah…I'm…here…" he said awkwardly.

"I'll admit, I'm surprised you didn't call ahead to tell me you were coming." She said, her expression still unreadable.

"I…I didn't know if you'd pick up." He said nervously. "We haven't talked in a while…"

"Two. Years." She added slowly. "Two years of radio silence from you." She remarked as she crossed her arms.

Chopped looked away while poking his hooves together. "Yeah…I've been busy." He admitted nervously. "T-Though after Saboady I didn't have access to any Den-Den mushis."

"Oh?" She remarked, an eyebrow raised. "And just why was that?"

"I was training." He remarked nervously, noting how even though they'd been talking for a bit she'd yet to invite him inside. 'She must still be mad at me!' he thought as he gulped. "T-That and the island I ended up on was isolated and didn't have any I could use either."

"I see. Well, I am glad to know you've taken my declaration seriously." She remarked, a smirk appearing on her face.

"Yeah, really really serious." he tried to give a smile back, albeit a very nervous one. He gulped while steeling himself as he cleared his throat. "Could… Could I come inside? There's something I'd like to talk to you about in private."

"Of course, come right on in." she smiled, seemingly perking up in almost glee as she ushered Chopper to come in.

"Thanks." he nodded as he walked in. 'That's a good sign, right? She didn't turn me away at least.' he thought, hearing the door slam shut behind him once he was inside. He turned around and instantly found himself wrapped by one of her tentacles and hoisted up to her face as she gave him a furious look.

"WHAT THE HELL!?" She shouted as she shook him, making him cry out in confusion. "TWO FUCKING YEARS?! NOT SO MUCH AS A LETTER AFTER THAT ALABASTA SHIT, NOT TO MENTION ENIES LOBBY?!"

Chopper wanted to get a word in, but the frantic shaking and tight grip made it impossible.

"YOU HAD ME WORRIED SICK!" She roared out in fury. "YOU THOUGHT IT WAS A GOOD IDEA TO FIGHT TWO WARLORDS, WHAT THE FUCK?! YOU CAN'T GO AROUND TRYING TO DIE ON ME DAMN IT! I COULDN'T EVEN CONTACT YOU! YOU NEVER GAVE ME YOUR DEN-DEN MUSHI NUMBER!"

"Gah!" Chopper cried as he was shaken around, unable to get a word in as the mermaid vented what was clearly over two years worth of fury and frustration.

"AND THAT SCENE YOUR IDIOT OF A CAPTAIN PULLED AT MARINEFORD?! YOU'RE ASKING TO GET KILLED BY STICKING WITH HIM!" She roared out in fury, shaking him still as she glared at him. "THEN TWO YEARS OF NOTHING, I THOUGHT YOU MIGHT BE DEAD, OR IN PRISON! THEN, ONCE YOU DO SHOW UP AGAIN THAT IDIOT CAPTAIN IMMEDIATELY PICKS A FIGHT WITH MAMA!"

Chopper tried patting at the tentacle, his body losing air as she looked away and huffed with her face looking red.

"You really made me worried, you know that? Luckily you finally seem to have found your lost common sense." she let out in a lower tone while lightening her grip, letting Chopper inhale and sigh in relief. "I still would have preferred SOMETHING to tell me ahead of time you were coming. I could have tidied up around here."

"S-Sorry…" Chopper croaked out between gasps of air. "It's…gah….really good to see you again Prim." He groaned as the mermaid began to make her way further into the large home, still holding him loosely in her tentacles.

"The feeling is mutual Chopper." she smiled, entering her personal lab before setting him down on her table. "So tell me, what part got you to finally realize joining that crew was a bad call?"

"I…huh?" Chopper said in confusion, looking up at her as she turned her attention to a project she had been working on, missing the expression.

"You don't have to play coy with me Chopper, I know you, and I know you wouldn't come here unless you had finally seen reason." She chuckled as she began to carefully put her vials and medical instruments away with care. "Did the idea of having to fight Kaido do it? No, wait, it was the Vinsmoke, right? He finally set a precedent for leaving that crew, it was now finally safe for you to leave, and it helped you were already in the New World, right? It certainly saved me a trip."

"Uh…actually…" Chopper started, trying to correct her, but the large mermaid just continued on.

"Well either way, I didn't just sit back on these last two years. I've been doing my own training. I've gotten smarter, stronger, and have accomplished quite the list of things here on the islands." She smiled, turning back to him. "During my time here I've essentially created a cure all toothpaste, it actually forces teeth to regrow in places where cavities had eroded the teeth. It certainly helped my brother Perospero. I've also set up quite the chain of competent hospitals on all the islands as well."

"That's great news, really…really great." He replied before clearing his throat. "Listen Prim, I'd love to spend more time talking to you and catching up on everything that's happened, but I came here for something important, and I need your help." He said as her eyes widened, and to his surprise her face heated up slightly.

"I-I see, so you're here for THAT, are you?" She remarked, poking two of her tentacles together. "Well, I must admit I was hoping you'd come back because of that, and not just because Mama's crew is stronger than the Straw Hat pirates."

"'That'?" he repeated, looking confused.

"Well, you do know what happened when we last met, right? I must admit that my feelings haven't changed since Drum… turns out the saying is true, 'absence makes the heart grow fonder', and you need my help convincing Mama to approve of us, right?" She admitted, her face red. "I-I would admit I would have liked some more time together before we talked about that, but if you really want to ensure your place in her crew I understand."

Chopper's jaw dropped with his face turning bright red. "I-buh, wha…wha…w-wait!" he sputtered out, his face heating up so much he thought he might pass out. "I-I came here for something else!"

"...huh?" Prim paused, stopping to look at him in confusion before her eyes widened. "O-Of course, right, forgive me, I-I think I was getting ahead of myself, obviously after so long apart you'd want to date first before we talked about marriage, I understand."

Chopper gaped at Prim, not sure if this was really happening or if his friends joking with him was making him hear things.

"Of course, you're welcome to stay here in my home until you're settled in, t-that's not to say I want you to leave!" She quickly corrected. "I have many rooms in this place, so I don't mind if you decide to stay in one of them for a long period of time, in fact I've quite missed rooming with you like we did in Drum."

"W-Wait Prim! Wait!" He got out finally, hooves raised out. "I came here because I need your help with saving my friend Sanji!" He declared, stopping her before she could start making any more plans.

"Sanji?" She said, freezing. "The Vinsmoke?"

"Yes, he was taken and I came here to-"

"You came all the way here…to visit me…to ask me for help on saving the man Mama herself wants married into the family?" She repeated slowly, her eyes shadowed as Chopper nodded.

"Yes, but it's great to see you again!" he said, nodding his head. 'Finally, we're on the same page!'

"You finally decided to check up on me…. Not because you wanted to visit, but because you had to in order to save your friend." she remarked while her hand twitched as Chopper felt the words and air go the way he was trying to avoid.

"I-I would have visited sooner but I was stranded for two years, a-and you said we were rivals so I was scared to call… but I really am happy to see you again." he gulped. 'Was this a mistake?'

"So you WON'T leave that crew and join me, is that right?"

"I-I'm sorry, I can't, Luffy will be king of the pirates, but we can still be friends, right?" He asked nervously. "I-I still care a lot about you and I don't want us to be enemies."

She clenched her hands and looked at him with a cold gaze that made him gulp before she turned her head and crossed her arms, puffing out her cheeks instead of blowing up. Thank you meditation. "Forget it!"

"Eh?" he cried out as she didn't turn back to him. "So you're not going to help us?" He cried as she shook her head. 'At least she didn't explode on me like earlier? But this is still not good!'

"No I am not, I have no reason to!" she replied. "You get my hopes up by showing up now, and it's to get in the way of Mama's plan? This is exactly why sticking with that crew was dangerous for you!" She declared, turning back to him with a frown. "Not to mention we're still rivals! Not only that, we're part of rival crews! Hell, I bet those strawhats talked you into this didn't they, they made you come here, this is all their fault, isn't it?!"

"No! No I swear, it was all my idea!" He protested, looking away as he remembered how the crew essentially encouraged him like he was about to go ask Prim out instead of asking her to help them betray her family. "Look, I'm sorry, I didn't mean to make you upset, but I really need your help." Chopper said nervously. "If you can't…. Then I'll go, I'm sor-"

"No."

"Eh?" He said as she turned back to him, lowering herself to stare at him at eye level. "W-What do you mean no? No as in you can help?" he asked nervously, despite having a feeling that wasn't the case.

"I mean no on you leaving." she replied with narrowed eyes. "You're not leaving here until you listen to ALL the reasons joining my crew is a hundred times better than those Strawhats."

"Eh?! Wait, no, I can't do that! I'm not leaving my crew!" he cried when suddenly two of her tentacles slammed down on either side of him on the table.

"That's because you haven't heard what my crew can do compared to them." She grinned. "And you haven't heard all the perks that come with being a Big Mom pirate, nor have you heard everything I've accomplished either!"

He felt the hairs on his body stand up, not liking the tone her voice suddenly took on. "N-Now Prim, y-you might be upset but let's not do anything rash!" he said, glancing around nervously. 'I should leave, now!'

"Oh no, YOU are going to listen closely to ALL the reasons why joining me is so much better!" She snapped, leaning in. "Reason number one, if you join my crew you won't be in danger of being killed by Mama, or being put in one of her books!"

"What?!" He cried out in confusion and fear as he tried to back up.

"Reason number two, if you join, you'd have access to everything you could possibly need as a doctor! No more worrying about running low on supplies!" She remarked, gesturing around her lab. "Reason three, you could have your own state of the art lab here, or even better, you could share mine!"

"I-I really think I should go, it was nice to see you again Prim!" Chopper said, turning to jump off the table. 'Yep, this was definitely a mistake!' Before he hit the floor, one of the tentacles caught him in a vice grip.

"Oh? Are you trying to leave me again, Chopper? Trying to abandon me for that crew again?!" she growled, eye twitching as she looked him in the eye. "No way! I'm. Not. Done." She said, raising him up so he looked her in the face. "Clearly, you aren't listening to me, so you're not leaving my sights until you do, and you finally see why you need to join my crew!"

Chopper wanted to speak up, but she started going off on a quick speaking tangent on various reasons to join her, making him internally sigh as he looked around, zoning out since his gut was telling him he needed to try and escape, somehow.

'Should I try fighting her? I know I've gotten stronger since I last saw her, and she doesn't know I don't need rumble balls to change except for my monster form…but do I want to fight her?' he thought as he glanced back at her. 'She's still my friend, I don't want to hurt her, plus if I do start a fight people will know, Prim is one of Big Mom's daughters, they might realize we're here and it'll get harder to save Sanji.'

"And then there's the broad line of influence that comes with being sided with me, along with the numerous subordinates under you that would die for you, and marrying me would cement your position for sure…" she kept listing, that last part though being mumbled.

"Uh-huh…yeah… wait, what was that?" Chopper asked, pulled out of his musings by her latest comment.

"Oh, just about how you'd have more influence, don't worry about it. So, what do you think, do you feel like changing your mind?"

"Uh uh!" he shook his head, making her grit her teeth. "I know why you'd want me to join, but right now I need your help for Sanji's sake! He's risking his life for our sake, but we can't turn our back on him." He remarked, making Prim groan.

"Chopper, why do you have to be so foolish? You're asking me to go directly against Mama's plans! She's my mother and captain! Also, I don't give two shits about Sanji! He's a dirty Vinsmoke who helped steal you away from me in the first place!" she growled. "Just the idea of trying to go against what she wants is no different than tying yourself up and throwing yourself in front of Navy HQ! It's a suicide mission!"

"Well I'm still going to do it! I'm not going to let him throw away his happiness and marry some random person and become part of your crew! He's one of us!" Chopper shouted as Prim gritted her teeth.

'Like I'd want him as part of the family! Ugh, and Chopper doesn't even know the wedding is a death sentence for the blonde moron! He's trying to save a dead man!'

Chopper stared Prim in the eyes with both maintaining eye contact before stating, "Let's make a deal."

"Sure, you join my crew and I'll consider forgiving you." Prim remarked easily with a small chuckle. "I have you in my clutches, literally, what else could you offer me that I don't already have at this point?"

"If you help us, I'll admit you're a better doctor than me. I'll even make sure to call twice a week and come visit every few months." Chopper offered, wincing a bit at the last offer. "Or…. at the very least promise to arrange a meeting with you, I don't think Big Mom would let us back into Totto land once we rescue Sanji."

Prim gave him a deadpan stare in response, "That's chump change; there's several things I'd want to even CONSIDER that deal."

"Um…. like what?" he asked, gulping as she had a near feral grin as she began to move quickly through her house.

"Oh, I have a few in mind off the top of my head, one being you joining my crew, another would be you sharing your rumble ball formula with me."

"I just explained why I can't join you, but if I'd be willing to share the formula, but you'd have to promise it doesn't get abused by anyone!"

"I may be willing to relent on the stipulation of you joining my crew, but you know very well I can't promise that when it comes to the rumble balls." She said, stopping in her bedroom as she began to dig around before pulling out a long piece of paper. "Ah-hah! I knew I still had it!"

"What's that?" he asked as she grinned and showed it to him.

"A list of all my demands~" She chuckled as Chopper's eyes widened. She held it out and began reading each and every demand down, Chopper's eyes turning to swirls as he tried to keep track of each one, with difficulty as she was reading them without faltering, like she had them memorized down no problem. "-And finally, you have to agree to marry me~"

"Uh-hu…. Wait, what?!" he went wide eyed. "Marry you?!"

"Yes." She nodded, her face heating up as she stared at him. "If you agree to all this and keep your word, then I'll help you."

"B-B-But marriage?!" Chopper cried out, trying to struggle free of her grip. "A-And all those other things, I can't do all of them! Once we get Sanji I'm leaving with the crew!"

"Well, then I guess if you won't accept, then I guess I'll have to keep you here forever." She smiled innocently. "Not even that, I just have to keep you here for a few days, once Sanji's married your crew is part of mine by default, Sanji is dealt with, and I get what I want, isn't that right?"

'She's right! If we can't save him, we're all doomed!' He thought as she gave him a feral grin.

"You see I'm right, don't you? You HAVE to agree~" She grinned, lightly poking him. "Besides, would being married to me be so bad? Didn't we have fun together on Drum? Wouldn't you like to go back to that?"

"I-I did have fun, b-but marriage? W-Would you be leaving the Big Mom pirates to join my crew then?" He asked, trying to wrap his head around the whole situation.

"Mmmm, maybe I would, maybe I won't, but that doesn't answer the question." She said, bringing him closer. "Yes or no, will you marry me Chopper? Don't you want to save your friend?" She asked, looking at him expectantly.

Chopper gulped nervously before a light went off in his mind. 'Wait… I can agree and not follow through, right? I like Prim, but I know her, she won't leave her crew, and there's no way Luffy would let me leave ours… so all Luffy has to do is forbid it and I'm not technically cheating her out of what she wants! I-I am a pirate, I don't have to follow the rules! I'm sorry Prim, but I have to save Sanji!' He thought as he slowly began to nod his head. 'Besides, knowing Luffy he'll have us cause so much chaos she'll forget about this.'

"Yes! Yes yes yes yes yes!" Prim cheered, excitedly tossing Chopper into the air out of glee before snatching him back up and pulling him into a kiss.

His fur practically turned bright red as his body stiffened up, hat flying right off his head as steam rushed out of his ears from the sudden move. He knew she cared about him, the entire demand of him marrying revealing that but to actually have her show it, it suddenly felt very real, and he felt very much out of his league.

As soon as she pulled back with a smile, his body dangled there like it was made out of jelly with his eyes looking dazed.

"Wha….I….uh…."

"Ah, this takes me back, you reacted the same way on Drum, glad to see that hasn't changed~" Prim grinned as she hugged him close. "I've missed you Chopper… I've missed you so much~"

"Uh…who…I….oooh…." Chopper mumbled, still feeling overwhelmed.

"If you think that was amazing, then I can't wait for our wedding night~" she giggled as the hybrid plopped on the floor on his face.

(Timeskip)

They did it, they actually managed to save Sanji and escape the disaster that was the wedding. While the group was celebrating the return of Sanji, Chopper could only stare out over the railing as Totto land grew smaller and smaller as they sailed away.

'Goodbye Prim, it was nice to see you again, and I promise that I'll call more often this time.' he thought with a firm resolve in his heart. 'I know you're probably mad, and I can't blame you, but I can't leave my nakama behind.' He thought as he began to turn away, moving to rejoin the crew and take another look at Luffy's wounds when suddenly the water behind him exploded upwards.

"CHOPPER!" roared a familiar voice as his blood ran cold.

'No….no no no, how?! We just escaped all of Big Mom's kids, how is she here?!' he thought, head slowly turning around as he looked over the railing and saw Prim in the water, trident in hand, looking excited. "P-P-P-Prim?"

"Chopper, finally! I thought we'd never make it away from the rest of the family!" She grinned, resting several of her tentacles on the side of the sunny as she leaned down at him, a knowing grin on her face. "Let me guess, you thought I wouldn't make it before you got away?"

He felt his face go pale as he gulped and shook his head. "W-W-What? No no no no! Never!" He said, taking a nervous step backwards.

"Good, I'd hate for my fiance to up and run away from his promise~"

"I…I…. Luffy, help, she wants me to get married to her!" he cried out to his captain, who was laying on the deck bandaged up as the others looked over and went wide eyed seeing Prim.

"Huh?" the captain let out, his head looking over at Chopper while a bit out of it. "Oh, are we having squid tonight? Yum."

"I'M NOT FOOD MORON!" Prim snapped before shaking her head, and seeing Chopper trying to hide behind the mast. "Chopper, c'mon, you promised! You can't worm your way out of this!"

"Chopper? What's she talking about?" asked Nami while exhausted, but taking a ready stance.

The hybrid looked between Prim and his friends, gulping as he looked away. "I…might have…made a promise…"

"Chopper? What kind of promise?" Nami asked slowly, a vein on her head standing out.

"She…may have threatened to kidnap me and not help us if I hadn't promised to… to marry her among other things."

"That's right, and I did help! Why do you think half of Mama's ships couldn't set sail, huh? Who told you where to find Sanji, and that the tea party was a trap, huuuuuh?"

The Strawhats turned to Chopper who rubbed the back of his head.

"You….promised…to get MARRIED?! We just escaped one marriage!" Nami cried out with Prim smirking.

"Well don't even think about kicking me off. I'm getting the marriage that was promised to me, and I am NOT changing my mind."

Chopper let out an exhausted sigh as he plopped down on his butt, dreading how this might turn out.
